Big up to Brad Harper for shooting this video and cutting it up for worldwide ingestion.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Nice shout out from tubs..
Ha. I didn't know Brad put that in the video!
Tubbs says "blogger" with an air of disdain in his voice. Pretty funny.
Denial is not just a river in egypt
He does that all the time ... talking about "bloggers" with mock disdain.
The core Auburn beat guys have been here since Tuberville arrived. He's just funnin' around with us.
He has an easy way about him. I bet it can be fun to interview him.
I want to believe him that the offense will be good soon. I really do.
I heard something I hadn't thought about in the video:
Have you ever been in an organization that got bought out by a different entity or taken over by a competitor/buyer?
Have you ever had a job where you've worked for, let's say..10 years, only to find that one day, you show up and see that your boss has been fired?
Plus, you learn/know that the new management team/boss that's coming in (or is 'here already' nowadays) has an entirely different concept of what your job is and how it's done.
All the sudden that 10 years experience at your job? Well that "doesn't translate".
The new boss says "we're trying to change the culture".
Each day, you show up to do what you did before, but something is changed.
You walk around saying stuff like "We didn't use to do it that way"
You hear replies like "Things aren't like they used to be."
Apply this as a metaphor to banking, and you get Wachovia(SouthTrust) & WaMu employees
Apply this to Auburn coaching and you have Hugh Nall, Greg Knox, Eddie Gran, Steve Ensminger, Yoxall, et al.
Apply this to newspapers...well, let's not - for Jay's sake! :o)
Heck, I've been there a few times myself. Exxon + Mobil, Chevron + Texaco...
What did I learn from all that conglamoratin'?
I learned that it's good to be patient when you are expecting change.
Because turbulent change comes expeditiously, but progressive change takes time.
(For those that don't like the fancy words: A tornado will wreck your house in a few seconds, but it takes months to build it back. The same amount of wood gets moved in both events though.)
AU fans should be patient with the offense.
Just a thought anyway.
Thanks!
Big Oil
Only a very small segment of sports fans blog. Most non-bloggers are of the opinion that blogging and sports radio cause too much "talk". Especially when the bloggers fancy themselves to be the coach or AD.
If Tubs disdain were real and not feigned, I'm sure he would have resounding support if he wanted to push the issue.
Some bloggers are arrogant and vain enough to actually think that their coments make a difference.
I just got off the phone with Tubs and Frankie and they wanted me to tell everybody that they have been reading and taking notes.
Just kidding around hoopie. I agree with you.
I'm just having fun with it.
With the market like it is, might as well enjoy what you do. Those stocks sure won't cause much joy.
I miss you, Lucent Technologies.
a new word ... it's tuberulence.
Nice piece of reality Big Oil.. unfortunately there are a whole bunch of sports fans that now "expect" perfection and will complain loudly from behind their keyboards. My guess is that those folks wouldn't survive a corporate buyout.
Oil down $10.52 per barrel today.
From Bloomberg: "Monday's decline was the second largest ever in dollar terms and the biggest percentage-wise since 2001. Crude has now fallen almost $25, or 20 percent, in the last seven days."
I blame the XBox Live outage.
nobody liked my new word ... boo hoo
2 seperate banks "withdrew" their previous loan commitments on simple build to suit lease deals today. I now have leases to deliver buildings for national tenants and there is no money available from any bank that I can find in NW Ga.
I haven't drank scotch on a Monday night since I was in my 30's, but tonight I make an exception. LOL
Jay,
I don't read your paper, either. But your blog is great!!!
Thanks so much for keeping us AU fans in NC informed.
Wow ... that hurts. Hang on hoopie, hoopie hang on.
Seriously, hope something good happens there.
Phred....the idea of the word is good...it's just that it is sortof a tongue twister.
I suppose that word defines the predictable, periodic emotional upheaval of the fans caused when Tubs changes coordinators.
that is the definition.
a couple shots of that scotch and it should roll right off the ol' tounge.
Thanks Phred, If congress doesn't do something quick, a lot more than the stock market, investment bankers or R.E developers will be going into the tank.
Just to keep it all in the proper perspective though, my life is blessed and I am very thankful for that.
CTT will always be the Man! Nice reality check Big Oil! You know we are 4-1 with this major change. It could be alot worse like 2-3.
I dug it phred. He never could say Obamanu and Aromashadu right...
Here's what I don't get. The Democrats are trying to say that the Republicans are keeping this from passing. What? That's BS. Last time I checked, Dems contolled the House and the Senate. Dems can do whatever they want to. If this doesn't pass, it means some Dems aren't on board. The Dems wanted some Rep. support because they already knew they had some internal trouble.
I know this isn't the blog topic, but I'm worried about Vandy. They are 4-0, rested because they didn't play last week and have ESPN gameday coming to town.
To borrow a phrase from "Talladega Nights", these guys are going to "Be on us like a spider monkey because they are jacked up on Mountain Dew". Vandy has a low rated offense and defense, but seem to have one of those teams that does whatever necessary to win.
Jus' sayin'.
what were the "record breaking" blog traffic stats for the day jay?
Hoopie, to borrow a phrase from the same movie "can't nobody hang with my (our) stuff"...
Phred:
'Pubs voted 2-1 to defeat the bill...not sure why. Unfortunately, I work for a bank...could be a bad rig.
I don't like revealing gross numbers because they're probably miniscule compared to other blogs.
I'm just worried about the HABOTN and growing it.
We broke the HABOTN record for pageviews by 20% yesterday.
Well, let me add my two cents.
I apologize. But Tuberville spoke. I was listening for the answers. When can I catch Les Miles' next "press conference"?
I miss Les Miles. He breaks my heart ever so. Have you all noticed he will not say "Auburn"? We're always "them" or "they" or the team that can do this or that. But never Auburn. Kind of Dennis Franchionish.
Kris ... I'm with you. But I'm saying - the Democrats don't NEED the republican vote. The Democrats hold the majority. If they all vote together, they win ... no Republican support needed.
However, I am more confused by this whole Ramsey thing. What is it with AU and guys named Ramsey?
Les Miles is awesome.
I hope someone asks him about why the government voted down the financial relief package. I'm sure he has an articulate opinion -- irrespective of paycheck.
Hopefully, the ESPN Gameday home team trend continues this week for Vandy.
I'm done counting on Tony Franklin to lead Auburn to a win, and putting my hope in strange, new, ESPN voodoo.
Phred, that bill is a tough political pill to swallow. Voting yes puts the taxpayer on the hook for 700 billion, voting no potentially puts us in another depression our grandparents love to talk about. I liken it to a regular joe that runs up his credit cards, pays off the debt with a home equity loan but keeps using the cards....
I'm gonna stop screwing up an auburn football blog with my political commentary now. Humblest apologies everyone....
Kris,
Voting either way will probably bring on another depression. It's just that voting yes may have prolonged it. I'm kind of glad they voted it down, but that's for another blog, I suppose.
It's never a good idea to simply create $700 billion out of thin air...
Oh yeah, and China is in the process of wanting repayment for the loans they made to us to the tune of a little over a trillion dollars. Yes, trillion.
And we had the nerve to ask them for help again this time. Not surprisingly, they declined.
Sorry, I had to throw in my $.02. And that may be too high of a price for my opinion...
These all are definitely signs of the apocalypse. But the biggest one? We are going to Nashville to play the No. 19 Vanderbilt Commodores and we are really worried about getting beat. And to top that off? GAMEDAY is going to be there. If the world ended Sunday it wouldn't surprise me.
Crudup ... you are dissappointing me. I can't give you a better lead in than that. That was your cue to sound off with something witty and clever with a subtle amount of biting sarcasm.
if vandy's offense is truly worse then ours (as stats show) I'm not worrieed one bit st. Thomas or Pratville will hang with em... Haha not really but you catch my drift.
Jay, you also got linked to Everyday Should Be Saturday.... They linked Pat Dye's Wild Turkey's rather righteous post to their blog. Thought you would find that interesting.
ahhhhh yes. I feel like an official habotn hottie at last. The shout out I the main blog page inspired me to get an account so my name can be Blue named like all the cool guys in here
Thanks Jay.
Gettin' linked to a righteous site like that is pretty big time.
I had a few people contact me about that particular post. They said a couple of those shots weren't necessary. I agreed with one of them about the shot against Tommy Trott, which was borderline, but I ultimately didn't alter it because it wasn't very damning.
I'll be a little more careful next time.
Particularly since it is not the first time it has been said. I think it's even been said before on here.
