Hawthorne is not sprinter. Never has been. Never will be. Never pulled the wool over amybody's eyes either. He's got superb hands and he can get open. Get used to it, team.

uhhh ... what exactly did Frankie say? It sounded like he has been studying some Saban interview film.

Look, this process is a process, aight?

On another note. I feel the same way now as I did during the "Great Nallsminger Bumblef**k of 03".

This wont end well. Mark my words. I pray to God I'm wrong.

I think this Offense will methodically get better with Todd and plateau by the WVa break. If we can successfully get Kodi involved, we can do more.

Have ya'll seen the Pumpkin Carvin' going on over at Tenn. Yikes....all of the yungpunks want his head now. Someone even painted the rock with the note "FIRE PHIL". He just got a contract extension after last season. Wonder how the players will respond....could go either way.

Oh, forgot...Phred, sign me up. The kid's a gamer.

He was the last recruit to receive a scholly offer last year. 2 star that all the Bammers laffed about. I hope he hope he single-handedly makes a 4th qtr sack/fumble with a return for a TD that puts us 3 scores up in the Iron Bowl.

    Pybus = team's fastest LB

Pybus = team's top choice for candidacy on "The Bachelor".

Pybus = name most closely associated with what could be one of a mad scientiest. Professor Spencer Pybus. Hmm?

Pybus = Poor man's Tray Blackmon meets Tom Cruise in a dark alley.

I have far far more confidence in this offense than the Nallsminger one of 2003.

When we opened up the year with 9 straight quarters without a TD and only one FG, that was far worse than this offense.

This offense will end up mid pack in the SEC. Mid pack in the nation by close of business January 1st. The record will be 11-2. Marks will bounce. Coleman will opt to stay for one more. Blackmon will do the same. They'll need the extra season to fine tune skills and earn a larger envelope.

    The second loss? Ole Miss.

  11. refresh my memory, but Pybus was the one who rocked LSU's Lee on that unbelievable TD throw, right?

Yes. He says he hesitated on the play because he was unsure of whether or not he was in the right place. That hesitation probably cost him the game saving play.

That's hard to lay on just him, Crudup.

There were other breakdowns in the game. But it's all in the past now.

Time to move on to Sloppy Top.

P.S. Phred, my co-host on The Gridiron Breakdown is a huge Spence Pybus fan. Said the kid was a steal as a recruit and has the motor to really develop into something special. I like what I've seen so far.

Oh, I'm not laying it on Pybus at all. It would have been awesome for him and the team had he been there a half second earlier.

    Coaching. Punting. That's what hurt.

  15. I'm really surprised to see Pybus on the field these days.

I figured that kids who get scholarship offers that late are ... marginal at best.

They consider him a lot more than marginal.

    Agreed, Crudup.

I'm glad to see Auburn's young players getting some time. Prepare for the future and add some needed depth.

  18. Is that the Jackson station?

Kevin asked me to do a weekly segment where we basically talk about anything other than Auburn and soccer. I think we accomplished that today.

    Crudup:

Riiiiiiiight. no way the second loss is to the crazy man. Ole Miss is improved but lose to a frosh QB, Nah. Not happening. AU wins that game. This week will be tough if we do not get the O untracked.

Georgia is a loss and a classic game with Bama could go either way.

    JMHO.

Al Borges was in Atlanta yesterday for CSS's SportsNight show. They had him breakdown all the SEC games.

He said that the Auburn/UT game was a must-win for both teams, Auburn must win to stay in the SEC race and UT must win to save the coach's job.

He also said that Ole Miss had the potential to upset Florida this weekend.

Why do all you people hate Christ Todd he's awesome! We are goin to go 13-1 and win the national Championchip cause Todd loves his team and school unlike all you people who are just haters. I hope you all go back to being Alabama fans like you was 10 years ago before Coach Tubberville came to Auburn and saved us from the death penalty! War Eagle!
