Campfire needed?

With my wife out of town, I'm pretty free this evening ... Call of Duty aside.

Do we need a campfire to consolidate events since Sunday?

  2. I hadn't really thought about times. I'd say 9 or 10 CDT.

    Sure why not..

  4. If it's 10, then I'm probably in.

I'll be watching SVU at 9 CDT.

  5. You sure make it hard for us in the eastern time zone, but who doesn't like a campfire on an autumn night.

  6. It's not like I'm in Guam, Eddie.

  8. I love me some Mariska, but Call of Duty beckons.

    We'll split the difference.

9:30-10:30. You don't need to see the whole thing anyway.

Jay G, the Guam quote needs front page attention..that's great!

It's impossible to stop SVU once it begins ...

  11. You know your getting old when you think 10 is getting late and 5am gets here quicker and quicker. Touche with Guam comment.

In the earlier comments to CTF's video- you said you are skeptical of Trotter. What did you mean by that?

    ReplyDelete
  13. It weird to me that he's allegedly getting this shot at a job ... yet Brad Lester said today that he hasn't seen Trotter practice in a long time.

    How does that happen?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Interesting.

Do you think CTT is just trying to turn up the heat on Kodi?

  15. I've given up trying to understand his motivation for saying things.

probably said to appease the masses.

  17. Playing Trotter now is a mistake. He would be better served to keep his redshirt and try and learn under the new OC, whoever that may be. I really don't see how he can help this team that much. It is not like we are playing for anything other than pride at this point.

    wdewg,

I was thinking the same thing, if so, hopefully it will work.

I remember Kodi scoring the touchdown in the Peach Bowl to win the game thinking the future had arrived, boy have things changed.

Jay, since I'm not gonna make it to the campifre thought you should know. It was me (wartiger the new guy) talking about you throwing in the preverbreal towel. Just cause half way through the season your posting next years schedule. I dont know...we have lost to Vandy and Ar Kansas (yeah I did the space on purpose) and you are posting next years schedule 7 games into the year. Just seem like you concededed that this season is done so "hey look to next year," not yet Jay..not yet..Let's see what happens in NOV. It's what I got man

Want be able to make campfire, some guys from Clemson with a suitcase full of cash coming by to talk. Just part of the process.

    Wartiger,

    News is news, man.

It was a slow day for real substantial updates, so I saw the new schedule as Jay G. throwing the Hotties a bone to "gnaw" on (to borrow a word from Bro. Chette).

actually I have reconsidered..I'll be there for there fire Jay.. at least for a while..she is very persuasive...

  25. I believe Jay just posted the schedule because it was released today. He's not "throwing in the towel."

yeah I made that point earlier senaible..maybe i am questioning the timing of the schedule..or maybe I am overly sensitive since 2 straight losses to team we should own...probably the latter but hey just how I felt

  27. Anonymous9:05 PM

    sensible*

    No worries, wartiger

It's going to be interesting to watch the rest of the year.

Either a trainwreck or a comeback for sure.

If Trotter works out it's a good move. If not, bad move. Not much different than the spread.

I've seen Trotter play a few times. He's fiery, athletic enough, and can make most of Þhe throws from what I've seen. But things happen when you get to this level - good or bad.

I say why not? If they see some things in practice that he can pbviously do better than Kodi then he's a means to an end we don't have right now.

I'd rather they guy have some real game experience going into next season. Wouldn't you all?

  30. Just announce what our final record will be, if we will beat Bama, if CTT will get fired, and if so, who the next head coach will be. Other than that, I have no questions.

the thing I like about this site and the information provided is that Jay is a newspaper guy first and foremost. He is unbiased and doesn't have a towel that can be thrown in, in my opinion. He understands the passion of fans and moderates our fanaticism but always remains the voice of reason.

  32. This just in. Jay is not in Guam!!!

    Krewe, that was just beautiful.

    Outstanding.

    Kleanex, please?

  34. wartiger ... if you are doin' the campfire at the risk of losing out on some other extra-cirricular activities, then you and I need to have a talk.

    ReplyDelete
  35. also, pride is worth playing for in my opinion. actually, is there a better reason than pride?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous9:24 PM

no the activities will bet there reguardless..it was more about my abilty on this frickin laptop keyboard....and the fact that I am one of those guys that gets up at 5:30 but all the same good looking out Phred

    ReplyDelete
  37. Why watch the rest of the season? Because CTT is capable of beating anyone. Of course, the opposite is also true.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous9:31 PM

    aye, couldnt hurt

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous9:39 PM

If CTT can beat anybody with this lowly squad then I'm Tom Brady AND Tony Romo.

Thanks for the campfire, Jay G.

  41. okay, I didn't have anything substintative to add to the ridiculous rumor mill campfire, so I said that Tressel was involved in another jetgate and the Pugh was the reason for the bobbled snaps. Probably my worst campfire yet, and enough to keep me out of the ROF for a whole.

At any rate, I did learn that the last Auburn coach to continue at the college level was some guy names Wynne, before WWII, and he went to Kentucky for 6 years. I hope that's on Jeopardy tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  42. You just need to rest your arm. I think you are a good game manager though.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Needs to work on taking snaps under center.

    ReplyDelete
  44. to quote a great writer: "well played."
