- On Ole Miss: "They were left with a lot of good players. This is basically the same team we've played the past two years. You can tell they're a much-improved team."
- On kickers: "Everybody but Clinton Durst made their field goals today. We probably won't make a decision on that until game time."
- 1s on 1s: For the rest of the season, we'll go (1s on 1s) for at least 40 minutes per day. We're doing a lot of things to finding the key to putting four quarters together."
- On OLs: "One thing we'd like to do is play a few more guys. When you have injuries and you're playing more guys, you're going to run out of juice."
- On Bosley back at C: "He had a little bit more experience with that. I thought it was a good move at the time."
- On kickers again: "Wesley is a muscle guy. He's trying to get a little mroe technique-sound. Consistency has been his problem. Clinton and Hull -- they're more technique-oriented."
- Confidence?: They were excited about playing last week, as they've been the weeks before. The bottom line is that we haven't executed well. We haven't changed that much in terms of what we're doing. In the long run, it has a little bit to do with depth."
- Struggling: "We're better than we were three weeks ago. We need to get better every day in practice. That's what we can handle. We take it in stride and worry about what we can control."
- What's wrong with the offense: "We don't have a broad range of offense in right now for Kodi. We have enough in to get the ball down the field consistently. It comes down to Kodi being able to make those reads."
- Opposing tailbacks > Auburn: "That's really disappointing. Their speed and quickness, we obviously didn't match up with them very well. You have to give them credit for what they did. We didn't get confused. Execution wasn't where it needed to be."
- Did your team quit?: "We haven't quit yet and we never have quit. Our guys have a lot of pride. Fatigue is a factor in there. People are just looking for excuses. We have no excuse."
- On Burns' game at WVU: "He didn't do anything fancy in the passing game. He made some throws. He's going to be a good quarterback. We've got to give him some help. It goes to the kicking game. It goes to the defense. Sunday was probably his best practice. He's showing a lot of improvement."
- Heaters?: "I knew we had ordered them. I wasn't thinking about that. It wasn't cold enough. When you have players running up and down the field, heat is the last thing you need. That didn't cause us to lose the game, by the way."
- Offense: "I think the offense is doing a good job considering we've been running this stuff for three weeks."
- Jerraud Powers and Neiko Thorpe: "They were out there. We'll see how it goes."
- Prepare for next year: "Nah. There's always a build process. When we were 13-0, we had a lot of young guys in practice. There's never a rebuilding year. We have so many freshmen playing. We'd like to cut back on that."
- On Enrique Davis: "He'll have to wait his time, but I'm sure he'll have a an opportunity to play this week. I haven't seen a lot of him with (Cordera Eason) in there."
END OF PRESS CONFERENCE
I like the comment about first team against first team. I'm certainly no coach, but I would think that the best way to prepare for your opponent would be to go against the best you have in practice.
ReplyDeleteIf someone were to ban the phrase "much improved," CTT wouldn't have an idea as to how to describe our opponents.
ReplyDeleteHow much you want to bet this will be the best week of practice all year?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we will hear that Ole Miss is the best team we've played all season after the inevitable loss to them...
ReplyDeleteJay nailed it last night when he described the problem(s) with our offense.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is we've always had a good week of practice no matter what happens during the game.
ReplyDeleteIs this page moving slowly for anyone else right now?
Well there you have it. We didn't quit.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet a lot of you people saying the boys quit are feeling pretty foolish right now.
The heaters might not have contributed to the loss, but things were definitely frozen.
ReplyDeleteI am just glad to hear we aren't simplifying the offense for Ole Miss.
ReplyDeleteJay G.
ReplyDeletemy email address:
mstrmrk45@yahoo.com
Funny he mentioned Enrique Davis... maybe HE will get to be the designated Fred Talley this week against us...
ReplyDelete"We don't have a broad range of offense in right now for Kodi. We have enough in to get the ball down the field consistently. It comes down to Kodi being able to make those reads."
ReplyDeleteWill Kodi Burns ever have more than a few pages of a Playbook to learn?
Not much noteworthy to be gleaned from that.
ReplyDeleteas disappointing as this year has been, all you can do is say war eagle anyway and work toward playing spoiler.
ReplyDeletelets keep TT and let him prove why keeping him is the right call
War Eagle Girl - I didn't hear the comment. What was it?
ReplyDeleteOk, this comment has me confused:
ReplyDelete"On OLs: "One thing we'd like to do is play a few more guys. When you have injuries and you're playing more guys, you're going to run out of juice."
So CTT wants to play more guys on the OL - got it.
But when he plays more guys on the OL they re going to run out of juice?
I would think playing MORE linemen would keep them fresh?
How many days until the 2009 season starts???
ReplyDelete"I think the offense is doing a good job considering we've been running this stuff for three weeks."
ReplyDeleteAnd who's fault is that?
Can we pass Tubs a note to stop bullshooting on front street?!?
ReplyDeleteWe know the game, Tubs.
It wasn't cold enough for heaters? Then why was he dressed like he was going to the North Pole?
ReplyDeleteThe games CTT plays with the media is becoming tiresome. All he needs to say is we're not very good at the moment and we're working to not get blown out these last 3 SEC games...
ReplyDeleteWell posted Cory.
ReplyDeleteI think eventually at one of these Tuesday press conferences there will be a reporter whose head will explode from trying to do the math trying to get all of what Tub says from week to week to add up.
ReplyDeleteit goes back to the whole ZEN experience. To understand it all, you have to understand nothing.
ReplyDeletedid i get that right phred?
Coachspeak.
ReplyDeleteCoachspeak.
Coachspeak.
The OL comment in regards to "running out of juice" was silly.
We have depth problems? Really??
"We worry about what we can control.". Which is? Blocking? Tackling? Catching maybe?
"Fatigue is a factor in there. We have no excuse.". Nice. An oxymoron.
On Kodi-
"Sunday was probably his best practice. Puke. Heard it before.
On Enrique Davis-
"He'll have to wait his time.". What!? Watch any film, coach?
So how long ago did Tuberville start his coaching career? And I get a laugh out of anybody who says Auburn can't do better than Tubs. Puhlease.
RK - I have thought that before. My temperment and lack of tolerance for BS/doublespeak is such that I would have to wrap my head in duct tape (thank you Glenn Beck).
ReplyDeleteHeaters on the sideline are way overrated. It just wasn't that cold.
ReplyDeleteI wish AU would have a bad practice, that might mean a good game. There is an adage in coaching that sometimes a bad practice means a good game.
You just can never tell. I had a team that won its last 8 regular season games and lost in the first round of the tourney. Go figure. I thought we were on a roll and it was a like another team showed up. I guess my point is that there is more to team chemistry than people realize. Coaches can't control it. You can't recruit for it. Sometimes players look like they are a good fit, but they change, it is call the maturation process. That is why a college team will be different from one year to the next. Very unlike the professional leagues. I get frustrated when I hear fans talk about players like they will never change, either good or bad. There are so many untangible variables in college. The pro leagues, other than free agents, are fairly consistent.
The players are not like some college video game that you can plug into a scenerio and expect results. Yeah, I know that "is what the coach is supposed to do". Long term motivation is the responsibility of the players. Short term motivation that a coach inspires is not what wins in the long term. "Playing with Emotion" is way overated. Playing with intensity, now, that is another story.
Read "They Call Me Coach" by John Wooden.
Grammatical errors actually typos. BlackBerry. Shoot me later.
ReplyDeleteI am offended by the term coach speak. Orwellian double speak is more appropriate.
ReplyDelete'"Fatigue is a factor in there. We have no excuse.". Nice. An oxymoron.'
ReplyDeleteAlso add his line about depth having a little bit to do with it in there as well.
If it wasn't that cold why did Tubs have on that nice duck hunting jacket?
ReplyDeleteMonica on The Roundtable!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great voice!
Moica on the Radio....giving the hotties a shout out!!! Great job girl!!
ReplyDeleteOdds that Byrum is kicking field goals on Saturday?
ReplyDeleteOdds we get in field goal range?
ReplyDeletegood one Cory...
ReplyDelete"We haven't changed that much in terms of what we're doing."
ReplyDelete"I think the offense is doing a good job considering we've been running this stuff for three weeks."
Which is it coach?
hahaha that was fun - I was going to talk about the topics they were discussing, but when I heard the opening for a HOTTIE plug, well...just had to.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mr. S and Cory.
So, how do we go from last year worried about if Tuberville to leave, to this year worrying whether Tuberville will stay? It appears we have a slight case of insanity going on.
ReplyDeleteThe odds are we go for it everytime on 4th down inside FG range.
ReplyDeleteAll I hear is blah...blah...blah...they are the best team we have played all year, blah...blah...blah...we have got to get better, blah...blah...blah...
ReplyDeleteI think the definition of insanity includes being an Auburn Fan. Us Auburn Fans are a fickle bunch.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what else anyone can expect to hear from Tuberville. It is really pretty simple. We aren't as good as we want to be but we hope to get better.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know when Tuberville comes out and says our next opponent sucks, but we are afraid we may suck worse.
Of all the days that I am out in the field working, I miss Monica on the Roundtable. What did ya say Monica?
ReplyDeleteHas anyone noticed that when asked about his team quitting, Tubs said, "No we haven't quit - YET"?
ReplyDeleteGang, just in case you were wondering, Finebaum is roasting Tubs and AU with press conference comments today.
ReplyDeleteI vote Steve's quote "Please let me know when Tuberville comes out and says our next opponent sucks, but we are afraid we may suck worse." as front board quote.
ReplyDeleteMonica,
ReplyDeleteI'll give you a 27 year old flat Bear Bryant commemorative coke if you give Fake Steve Jobs a shoutout the next time you are on the radio....
Don't let me down, especially considering the worth of the aforementioned commemorative coke.
After all, I am the token Bama fan on this blog! :-)
Finebaum wants this thing to play out as long as it can, drag Tuberville thru the coals and then have him retained so he can do it all over again as soon as he stumbles again.
ReplyDeleteAnd people wonder why I don't listen to WJOX anymore.
ReplyDeleteFake Steve Jobs, be honest with me. I respect your posts on here; you are very level.
ReplyDeleteIs this just too entertaining as a Bama fan?
That's just what Finebaum does.
ReplyDeleteFake - if I ever do that again I'll do my best to say your name. LOL
ReplyDeleteJames - Finebaum is on WMSP too. He snuck up on me the first time I was listening a couple of weeks ago.
IMO Mr. Sensitive, this has to be what us Auburn fans felt like when Dubose, Price & Shula were let go.
ReplyDeleteOkay, $100 to the first person that gets me a video of Mindbomb being clotheslined. I will make it $1000 if it is by Tuberville.
ReplyDeleteThis whole thing is turning very Bill Curry-like (with a little Mike DuBose thrown in as well).
ReplyDeleteI feel like I've seen this before but in Crimson and White.
The games CTT plays with the media is becoming tiresome.
ReplyDeleteHe's not playing games with me; he's trying to play games with you.
Better sprinkle in a little Mike Shula. It is very ironic that just before Shula got canned, he gave a speech to them saying he would be the coach at Alabama. It is as if he and Saban were playing some evil joke.
ReplyDeleteHold on, hold on. I've gathered my brain. I have seen this before and not at Alabama. This is all stuff from pages 47-49 of the Tubs book.
ReplyDeleteI knew it seemed familiar.
Jay G. is he playing games with us to win support of just smoke and mirrors?
mr. sensible,
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that is entertaining is listening to the village idiots that call into Finebaum. A good day for Paul is when one is up and the other is down. He would have problems if they both were good in the same year.
I take no pleasure in the frustrations of rational fans such as yourself. Now when it comes to my close friend who royally enjoyed the Brodie sack-a-thon in 2005, that may be another story... :-)
What is the motive of the mind games directed toward us????
ReplyDeleteMotive: To make you think everything is fine in Oz.
ReplyDeleteIf thats the case, why I am I not going anywhere. I'm clicking my heels.
ReplyDeleteYou would have to be blind and deaf and probably brain dead to not know that their are problems.
If we voted coaches in and out that would make sense.
ReplyDeleteWe don't.
It doesn't.
So CTT = Nero? Fiddling away while the city burns around him...
ReplyDeletePay no attention to that man behind the podium.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that radio term for the music they play between breaks?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fake Steve.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to get some donuts, some Prozac, see if I can't find some crack, and I'll be back when y'all find a subject more Saved By The Bell-ish...
...just kidding, but I couldn't resist the Scream 2 quote this close to spooky time.
People, you are failing to see the brilliance in this offense. Any player on offense could get injured and we wouldn't see a significant drop off in productivity. Depth problem solved.
ReplyDeleteSteve- Are you saying I have a chance at playing in this offense. I really wish I had eligibility left :)!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBumper music.
ReplyDeleteBed music is usually the background music during a commercial.
LOL Steve!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought bed music was something along the lines of Barry White...
ReplyDeleteAt this point, there is no reason for an Auburn person to listen to WJOX after 10am CT.
ReplyDeleteIt's literally ONLY Bama homers on the station after the Opening Drive goes off the air.
The Opening Drive is dominated by Jay Barker, talk about a bama homer.
ReplyDeleteSorry for being cynical folks, but it is the only thing I have left so I am clinging to it.
ReplyDelete'Jerraud Powers and Neiko Thorpe: "They were out there. We'll see how it goes."'
ReplyDeleteWay to occupy space guys!!!
Bed Music: Marvin Gaye
ReplyDeleteBumper Music: Boston
Shopping Music: Billy Joel
dude, what's wrong with Billy Joel? his 'Glass Houses' album in the jam!!!
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteI don't think you have to apologize for ever being cynical.
Gang, if you know of local (unsigned) bands that have recorded music, I'm always looking for stuff for the show. Shoot me an email and I'll check it out: mr_sensible_auburn@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteSteve - If I ever run for office you're hired as my Spin Doctor. LOL
ReplyDeleteRK and Mr. S. - bumper music is what I was trying to think of. Thanks!
James - not Barry White - Channel 854 on DirecTV - Bluesville...ahh sookie sookie now
Ok..
ReplyDeleteShopping Music: Billy Joel circa 1984-Present
Finally some good news. We have 19 returning starters next season. Unfortunately the bad news is that we have 19 starters returning next season.
ReplyDeleteWell, we may not be willing to throw Tuberville under the bus at the moment, but somehow I don't think anyone would jerk him out of the way of it either.
ReplyDeleteFor those interested in Tennessee's situation, I'm originally from there and I've been sent this. Whether true or not, I don't have a clue:
ReplyDeleteFrom a very reliable source who got this from a coaching staff member.
The assistants have been informed that a change is being made.
Fulmer, Atkins, Brooks and Slade are finished after Kentucky game. Buyouts will be honored.
Others will stay on until new coach is hired. Their future likely decided by new coach.
eddie,
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt that at all. When apathy sits in you are in trouble. Auburn fans are just mad right now. Apathy hasn't set in, IMO.
It obviously has in Knoxville. Reports were that there were 25-30,000 Bama fans in Knoxville this weekend because so many UT fans decided to sell their tickets.
that's funny stuff steve from columbia.
ReplyDeletethanks for the clarification F.S.J. man, i must be getting old.
Correction: When apathy sets in....not sits in. WTH?
ReplyDeleteApathy is rampant, but who cares? I am going incognito.
ReplyDeleteI believe it takes years for apathy to set in. Fulmer may have gone to the SEC championship game last year, but I've never seen so many games won that close as Tennessee had last year.
ReplyDeleteMon,
ReplyDeleteIt's called bumper music.
Steve- Is your halloween costume an Auburn Tee-Shirt and a Paper Bag over your head. :)!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that I will never forget that the music between commercials is bumper music. Thanks Tim.
ReplyDeleteIs Tennessee going to be in the Muschamp sweepstakes?
ReplyDeleteEddie, we've heard the same things up here about Fulmer and his boys today. not suprising if true.
ReplyDeleteso, you're from knoxville? what part/high school?
Bump 'er music: Enigma.
ReplyDeleteThat's all I have.
Nah, actually it is a tiger head with cheap sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteTuberville doesn't seem to think that this is a rebuilding year. Maybe he should say it is and people might feel a little better.
ReplyDeleteAnd to think, I thought bumper music had something to do with love making.
ReplyDeleteMr. Sensible, feel free to use my Goin' Down Swingin' cd. It's probably not good for sports talk bumper music though.
ReplyDeleteauwade, it definitely isn't a rebuilding year. It is a transition year. I feel much better now.
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteThat's "bumping" music, not "bumper" music....
Scottie- I'm from Chattanooga, Tennessee, went to Ooltewah if you have an idea where that is.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe Muschamp will be in the UT sweep stakes. I do believe Muschamp to be in the Washington sweep stakes.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get a copy of that AUWADE.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Ooltewah, passed by there many times on my way to Cleveland.
ReplyDeletesteve- haha, see how easy that would make it.
ReplyDeleteauwade
ReplyDeleteRe: Tuberville doesn't seem to think that this is a rebuilding year. Maybe he should say it is and people might feel a little better.
He'll say people will feel better after the big homecoming win against UT-Martin. Hopefully TigerRags will have the score shirts ready to be sold after the game.
Mrs. Vince Dooley is embarrassing herself. Tasteless. Finebaum eats this up as he has the arrested sexual development of 5 year old. Also, I'm not sure why he has these little stitch and bitch sessions her each week.
ReplyDeleteBringing up Tiger Rags Score shirts, I saw someone with the UT score shirts. Are you kidding me?????? Who in their right mind would buy that and wear it.
ReplyDeleteFYI ... I added a "MY FRIENDS" category on the Hall of Fame.
ReplyDeleteIt's way down the list because, you know, HOTTIES make the HABOTN go 'round. Still, my peeps deserve some love.
15 year old, not a 5 year old
ReplyDeleteMonica, I hate those segments with Mrs. Barbara Dooley. Did you happen to hear it about 2 weeks ago when she got Mrs. Saban on there. Finebaum was in heaven.
ReplyDeleteEddie-Ooltewah, i know exactly where that's at. coming back from the AU-UT game i kept saying 'Ooltewah' at my dog thought it was the coolest thing. sorry, random personal info. that nobody cares about. moving along......
ReplyDeleteEnigma: Sadness. nice work JG. loved that song back in the day.
What does wikipedia say about Muschamp?
ReplyDeletePotential Auburn Head Coach Position
Soon after Auburn's current head coach Tommy Tuberville lost his fourth game of the Tigers' 2008 season against West Virginia, rumors began to circulate that Muschamp might return to Auburn, this time as head coach. Though earlier in the year it looked as if the loss of Muschamp had not affected Auburn's defensive gameplay, all four of the Tigers' losses at this point had been a result of blown leads of 10 points or more.[17]
Muschamp is also rumored to be a potential candidate for the head coach positiong at Clemson University, which was vacated by Tommy Bowden on October 13, 2008 and is currently held in an interim status by Dabo Sweeney.
Mrs. Dooley is embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteTiger Rags could do first half score shirts. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteMotive: To make you think everything is fine in Oz.
ReplyDeleteRay Charles could see things are not fine in Oz right now. Time for a change...
You know what is great about going to high school in Tennessee. When your high school scores a touchdown, the band plays Rocky Top...when the other team scores a touchdown, their band plays Rocky Top.
ReplyDeletejust win - no I didn't hear it - thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Finebaum hater because I take him for what he is. An entertainer. But in my professional opinion he really does have issues around women/sex. But anyway...
Mrs. Dooley - I so did NOT need the visual of you standing nude before you hubby on Halloween.
Monica:
ReplyDeleteRe: Barbara Dooley being naked.
I am on a need to know basis, and I did not need to know THAT!!!!!
Is/was she hot?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteman, maybe i should've tuned in to Finebaum today. or maybe not. i think i'll just rely on the highlites from here.
ReplyDeleteFake! You should have HEARD the whole long story with that DRAWL that seems to get thicker every week. She loves getting "dirty" with Paul.
ReplyDelete(yep, i just threw up a little bit in my mouth)
http://www.barbaraandvincedooley.com/
ReplyDeleteShe's no HOTTIE.
Cory...this is for you
ReplyDelete("Auburn" to the tune of "Georgia on my Mind")
Auburn, Auburn,
These many seasons through
Just the same old song
Keeps Auburn driving me out of my mind
I'm say Auburn
Auburn
A touchdown or two
We couldn't buy
With all the gold in Fort Knox
Other teams pass us on by
Our fans cry so tenderly
Still in hopeful pressers I hear
The blame is not on the coaches
I said Auburn,
Ooh Auburn, no more wins I find
Just the same old song
Keeps Auburn driving me out of my mind
Be thankful you didn't hear her and Terry Saban - it was terrible. Finebaum was giddy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Cobra...well played!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if she's a hottie or not. It doesn't even matter if she's 100 years old or not. She is just being inappropriate. Now, y'all don't know me, but for ME to say that...well, it's just got to be true.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to nominate Cobra Commander as official songwriter of the HABOTN.
ReplyDeleteJay G., any objections?
Todd can make reads but not throw....
ReplyDeleteBurns can throw but not make reads....
Dear leader asks... what has quarterback coach been doing for 9 months...
Auburn has a QB coach?
ReplyDeleteNews to me...
Cobra- That is great. I like your work.
ReplyDeleteDear Leader, I don't know what he was doing months ago, but he is now looking for a job.
ReplyDeletety willingham is available, now. love to see tennessee pick him up.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for all.
ReplyDeleteIf Tubs is willing to make the changes to his staff and he stays, taking into account how bad this season has been, will anyone be pissed if he goes duck hunting instead of doing EVERYTHING he can to turn this ship around?
Auburn is desperatly lacking a QB coach.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to workout. It will probably take me 15 minutes of reading to catch up when I get back.
Is it getting close to time for a camp fire for the heck of it?
Gang, I'm out for the evening. Late night of work ahead of me.
ReplyDeleteLater...
I don't see duck hunting having anything to do with coaching Auburn. Everyone deserves time off.
ReplyDeleteJust Win- His duck hunting trips have nothing to do with him trying to win. Having rumors float around in a state that you are currently in and not denying the rumors has impact. I believe he duck hunts in a non-contact period of recruiting, so it should not affect that.
ReplyDeleteI won't mind if he goes duck hunting. lol
ReplyDeleteIf you're dying for some Tuesday night college football, Marshall plays Houston tonight on ESPN2. (I think that's the right channel)
ReplyDeleteSorry for the lateness of video today.
ReplyDeleteWe're actually still in the process of getting player interviews. I miss the old days.
Anyway, I'm building one right now that will star Kodi Burns, The Head Coach and ... maybe Wesley Byrum. Who knows?
I'd love to hear a beat writer ask Tubs any of the following questions at the next press conference: 1) "Coach, without using the words much-improved, how would you describe your upcoming opponent?;" 2) "Coach, based on your last 5,000 post-practice press conferences, we know that the last practice certainly was the hardest, most productive practice to date. Would you please elaborate on what constitutes a "great practice?" 3) "Coach, would you consider hiring Jan Terri as the team motivator?"
ReplyDeletejan terri would certainly improve team speed. poor guys would be running for their lives.
ReplyDeleteIs Jan Terri available?
ReplyDeleteIs she alive? Can we confirm?
Maybe Auburn should runs Tubs and hire De Orgeron.
ReplyDeleteAt least when he gets fired he'd leave a lot of good recruits behind.
someone confirmed in an earlier thread that Jan Terri is not only alive, but has recently saved the world from an alien invasion.
ReplyDeleteFor all you folks on the Lane Kiffin bandwagon, looks like he just might be headed to Washington soon.
ReplyDeleteFox Sports
I've never understood what Kiffin did to be so high on everybody's list anyway. He was a co-offensive coordinator at USC and was miserable with the Raiders.
ReplyDeleteSince, I can't seem to make any of the above categories, I am tempted to try to make the Banhammered one.
ReplyDeleteNahhhh.
Anyway, CTT should be fired.
If you doubt that I'm still alive, Email Me !!! Love, Jan :-)
ReplyDeleteJan Terri made a video loosely based on how she saved the world from aliens:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uOwVg2B79E
And I saw that picture when considering my avatar. Some things should just not be seen by human eyes, "jan". Or should I call you... TIM!!!! (I know it's you, punk!)
The HABOTN is almost getting too hot to keep up with. I need some way og having the comments read to me in real time so I can keep up throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteFinebaum wants Tubs fired and he wants to claim responsibility for that because he said it would happen upon Saban's hiring.
ReplyDeleteHuge Bingo to Crudup.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know and/or will you tell me WHY Finebaum and CTT don't like each other. Don't give me the "it's just a show." I know the difference between the entertainment and the genuine dislike of CTT.
I heard Finebaum trash bama during the whole coaching hire. He goes where the drama is. However, he has a real dislike of CTT. Why?
Peter - I will call you and read the posts to you for a nominal fee.
ReplyDeleteWow. She'll call you.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds vaguely intriguing.
I agree Jay....
ReplyDeleteVaguely intriguing. Hope her hubby ain't on the blog currently.. ;-)
Was it already common knowledge that Jan Terri had a Daily Show appearance?
ReplyDeleteI saw a link to that somewhere and couldn't get it to work.
ReplyDeleteNow we can breathe her in.
vaguely intriguing? is that like intrigue that is there, but not strong enough to warrant your attention, so you go about your business without giving it thought.
ReplyDeleteMonica, I'm too poor right now to pay for 400 comments a day. Maybe in the spring, when things slow down a bit. I think I can afford to be read 40 or so. Therein lies the delima. I can just read 40 comments myself.
everyone get their free taco today from Taco Bell? ends at six, so there's still time for your central time folk. For us easterners, I hope you have a one nearby, 11 more minutes.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Tubs got his free taco. That'd be vaguely intriguing.
ReplyDeleteanyone here from jaybar lately? I'm feeling like some insider scoop from his nephew who's on the team and friends with Grape Slush is in order. Maybe he'll tell us that practices are the best they've been all year.
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to make ya all nervous, Peter. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that Daily Show clip was incredibly mean. I forgot how mean they used to be to stupid people on that show. That is, non-political innocent stupid people.
ReplyDeletej gee,
ReplyDeleteI liked that twangy song that you had at the end of the video. What was that?
nah, sometimes I just get hyped up and talk a lot.
ReplyDeleteDid you get snow up there today?
It's some canned audio file that comes with iMovie.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a pretty good press conference. Glad we cleared up "Heatergate" (by the way I love how any scandal can just put gate at the end of it and it makes it sound so much more legitimate!) Also, interested to read his response to the did the team quit question. Mindbaum has been killing this clip as he always does. J Gee, did he go anymore indepth about Pat Dye. From what Mindbaum was saying on the radio today that the only reason the question was asked was in response to Dye's interview yesterday. Just be interested to know what he had to say.
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to snow a little tonight.
ReplyDeleteI do miss those Jaybar scoops! They were somewhere between vaguely interesting and vaguely redundant.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the music on the video is so good. Apple made it! APPLE IS SO AMAZING!!!! THEY MAKE THE BEST COMPUTERS AND THE BEST MUSIC, TOO!
ReplyDeleteWhere is JAYBAR?
ReplyDeleteI'll never look at Grape Slush the same way again?
I leave for a couple of hours and I come back to at least read the word "Ooltewah". Which is about 20 miles from where I am located by highway...a lot less if they would build a bridge.
ReplyDeleteThe Ooltewah connections are kind of creeping me out here. I was born an raised in the Ham but moved to Ooltewah my senior year of high school. Eddie and I talked about this in the campfire one night I think. That was 18 years ago.
ReplyDeleteSo me, Eddie, RK, Scottie, and someone else actually know where this place is - scary stuff.
I wonder if this is like the seven ways to Kevin Bacon thing?
Any credence to the rumor that Muschamp to AU, or is that just normal scuttlebutt?
ReplyDeleteNormal scuttlebutt.
ReplyDeleteSorry Monica...didn't know a new thread had started...supposed to be working...now home.
