We're discussing the first quarter of Auburn's game at Alabama.
- Auburn's first possession: Nine plays, 25 yards. Converted two of their three third-down situations, but they punted on 4th-and-10. (began at 14:52, AUB 20)
- Alabama's first possession: Nothing happening. Three plays, 5 yards. (began at 10:48, ALA 7)
- Auburn's second possession: Wasted opportunity. Auburn started in Alabama territory. Burns made a nice throw on third down, but Derek Winter dropped it. Not sure if he had first-down yardage anyway. Still, Derek Winter? Three plays, five yards. (began at 9:19, ALA 49)
- Alabama's second possession: Leigh Tiffin 37 FG @ 0:00. It was a good one. They had some good runs between the tackles. I think I'm seeing a lot of mis-alignments on the outside. Auburn made a nice stop on 3rd-and-1 to halt the Tide's drive. 8 plays, 76 yardsIn progress. (began at 7:36, ALA 5)
I hate Alabama....

ReplyDeleteWell, not a terrible first drive. Got to avoid 3rd and long.

ReplyDeleteMoved the ball all right on the ground the first drive. Need more of that.
ReplyDeleteRod completed missed that hot route on the first drive. He's gotta do better than that.
ReplyDeletewell the "live to punt" philosophy worked on the 1st drive
ReplyDeleteGood Start on D.
ReplyDeleteWell it is good to see some pressure.

ReplyDeleteWe needed the stop there.

Nice Punt. Durst for the MVP of the Iron Bowl.
ReplyDeleteSomething about this living to punt stuff
ReplyDeleteDurst, very very nice. If this becomes a defensive struggle, Durst helps us win the field position battle.
ReplyDeleteI hate cbs and I'm not even listening to them.
ReplyDeleteGood punt. Keep them backed up and they will soon self-destruct.
GREAT KICK - Where have those been all year?
ReplyDeleteWe need one of those non offensive scores here.
ReplyDeleteI HATE Saban
ReplyDeleteSomeone tell WAKA, thanks for the black scrolling bar in the middle of the game about the DTV switchover.
ReplyDeleteHow many times over the years have I heard that "BAMA is back"?
ReplyDeleteI hate Saban "satan" as well TIGERMOM! WAR EAGLE BEAT BAMA!!!!
ReplyDeleteD needs to get better quickly.
ReplyDeleteSJPW gave us one there
ReplyDeleteThere is no way that ball should be a first down
ReplyDeleteThat spot was bad
ReplyDeleteBad decision..
ReplyDeleteSpot's about 2 feet short.
ReplyDeleteNot worth worrying about for me, but I don't make $2.8 million.
BS call.
ReplyDeleteWhy was the Defense a foot back off the line. That makes no sense.

ReplyDelete12 mins to 3 time of possession in the 1st quarter, not good.
ReplyDeleteWell Bama still hasn't scored a first quarter TD.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that streak goes back to 1996
ReplyDelete15 play, 76 yards and 7:36 on that last drive.
ReplyDeleteNot a good sign for the D.
