Hey I'm the 200th poster tonight!!! Dont I get like a prize or something??
If I had to relate this season to a movie, or any other season, it would have to be one of the Saw movies. The mastermind forces someone to shoot themself in the foot over and over again.
you were 201, bigcat
P.S. My lawn is covered in snow.
my lawn is covered in leaves.
go blow 'em
So, he has to pull a Woody Hayes? Interesting. I like the Woody Hayes story about when he was recruiting in Michigan and almost (or did depending on the story) ran out of gas because he didn't want to spend a dime in Michigan. And of course when he went for two against Michigan and they asked him why, it was because he couldn't go for three. I think Auburn folks, me included, wanted to see a little of that attitude when Auburn was beating Alabama. Yeah I know, kicking them while they were down, but hey, it has its place at times.
my lawn is covered in cement
that sounds like a double entendre Miss Monica
In about two months my lawn is going to be like cement.
Denny - now YOU are projecting.
lol denny
you sound repressed
what do you mean by that, Denny?
Denny,
I'm not certain that her problem is depression.
I think it is frustration.
Auburn has really done a number on her this year.
or as Mark Knopfler so eloquently put it Industrial Disease.
Doctor parkinson declared Im not surprised to see you here
Youve got smokers cough from smoking, brewers droop from drinking beer
I dont know how you came to get the betty davis knees
But worst of all young man youve got industrial disease
He wrote me a prescription he said you are depressed
But Im glad you came to see me to get this off your chest
Come back and see me later - next patient please
Send in another victim of industrial disease
Fitting for Huntington WVA.
Sorry Denny.. I misread your post.
I think you are spot on.
I don't anything, I was just trying to exchange in some friendly 'banter' to jerk your chain just a tad. Just a very little.
I left out the word 'mean'
Yep, Denny and Faker have me figured out.
Big Cat - I saw the improvement also. I hope two more weeks is just enough.
Is it just me, or does the Jimmy Carter years with 17 percent interest rates and all seem just a bit worse than what is going on in today's economy? I seem to recall a recession or two in the 80s and early 90s that were worse than now. Just saying this is a symptom of living in a world where people have no sense of historical perspective,

Monica,
I will say this without fear of contradiction, figuring you out is an impossibility, you are a complex as a Swiss watch. One can only hope to guess right every once and a while.
I am digressing. I can't help it.
Denny,
Monica is a walking contradiction.
She's a big Bama fan posting on an Auburn blog...How sick is that?
Please don't say that about Monica, I might have to demand satisfaction from you to defend her honor. Blunderbusses at dawn or cavalry sabers at midnight.
Getting back to a world without historical reference. I would refer everyone to the Recession of the early 80s. Much worse than today and much longer. Listen to NPR and you would think that the four horsemen of the apocolypse were upon us. I lived through that one.

Hey, I just came across something.
My grandmother found some original 1984 US Olympic team pins - the ones the athelets trade - way back in 84 in a hotel room in New York.
Does anyone think they're worth anything?
Proabably...
I imagine 84 is the record for most medals won by the Americans.
I'll pay CASH money for a field hockey pin.
Didn't those commies boycott the '84 olympics? Plus we had homefield advantage. Plus, I'll bet we had a lot of steroids before people were getting caught so much. That must have been the best olympics EVER!
