Happy Iron Bowl Eve everyone. There is a nutty example of why you don't get rid of a successful coach. Yes, Houston "My Personality" Nutt has Ole Miss destroying Mississippi State. Suddenly Arkansas is Ole Miss and Ole Miss is Arkansas. Things have changed.
There are other good examples out there, such a Lloyd Carr at Michigan. When you have a successful coach, you stick with him.
Notre Dame provides another good example of bringing in a big name coach, paying him a crap load of money, and getting reamed.
Now, we have our two new experiments in coaching changes, namely UT and Clemson. Lets see how that works out for them.
Roman, I agree. There is no sense in replaying it over and over. I can imagine a family watching their kid hurt and eagerly awaiting some word. They would have to set and watch it happen over and over again. There is not point in it.
Wow, compound fracture with no contact. That doesn't happen very often. Thanks for giving me the description for without it, my morbid curiosity would have gotten the best of me and I would have re-wound the DVR.
The decline of the Auburn football team and the economy are not a coincidence. I am convinced that Auburn loosing football games destroys the American belief that good will conquer evil. So, if you want to keep your job, root for Auburn. It's the right thing to do.
They said Jay G was getting ready to be on the Hate Table after the break. Trouble is they said he was the Beat writer for Auburn. Man, don't they know,,,,he is the Hate writer for Auburn.
Mr. S- Sorry to hear you shot a 180. That sucks. On a side note, how did you enjoy the straight downhill par 3. I grew up playing golf as a kid on that course.
"would [they] were wasted, marrow bones and all. that from [their] loins no hopeful branch may spring to cross me from the golden time i look for." that's soon to be richard III hatin on a rival. he doesn't even want them to propagate. that's hatin.
Message board poster on the ITAT site is reporting that wide receiver Chris Slaughter is apparently off of the AU Tigers football team and considering a transfer to Georgia Southern.
Dunno if there is any truth to any of this or if it's just another rumour. Supposedly the news comes from the parent of another player. Anyone here know anything about this?
scottie B- have not yet listened to it Chin. Democracy. I am a huge (no pun intended) GnR fan, but am unsure if this CD is worth it. Does it live up to Illusion I & II? Nothing can live to to Appetite, but how it it overall? worth 13 bucks? I hat everything crimson and white and the # 1 thing i do not ever want to hear, especially tomorrow is the rammer jammer song the unclassy elephants do. at least we just TP trees.. I will be grilling burgers, brats, and wings tomorrow. I just smoked a turkey for the 1st time wednesday nite- thu. morning. WDE tomorrow! HATE THE ELEPHANTS. 7
Darn - Niece and nephew were hanging out with the bestest Aunt and Uncle in the world and I missed Kristina's appearance on the Roundtable. I bet it was fantabulous.
No posts from Faker today. Know what that means - he went shopping with Mrs. Faker. HAHAHAHAHA
The academic requirements at Ga So have been upgraded to be similar to AU. Of course the NCAA doesn't watch GaSo, so the requirements for athletes may be less than AU.
Anyone watching the LSU-Arkansas game? The play by play guy has a thick northeast accent. It does not quite fit. It's like a guy with an Arabic accent doing a NASCAR race.
As if I weren't in the hatin' mood already, the wife suckered me into a shopping trip this afternoon. By kickoff tomorrow, my cup of hatred will runneth over!
I just read somewhere that AU has 108 Fr/So player-starts going into the IB. Bama has 52. Even the media darling for young talent...Notre Dame only has 97 starts.
This year's seniors are either Rs-Seniors from the jetgate class(2004) or non-Rs from 2005. The better recruiting classes were in 2006 and 2007 and so far have a low attrition rate. Looks like these are the young guys that are playing. Even the naysayer maligned 2008 class is contributing.
Just some reasons to be positive for next season.
Unfortunately, it seems that once fans have a distaste for a coach, the ability for positive outlook and reason go out the window. The cynicism builds into a negative now or never ultimatum which grows large enough to ensure failure. Houston Nutt got tired of fighting the "nuts" and Ol' Miss is loving it.
Ron Franklin is doing the Colo-Neb game on ABC. Why is he being buried on scrub games by the worldwide leader? He is the best college play-by-play man out there in my opinion. Does anyone know any details on his demotion?
Hoopie, I am hardly the voice of optimism, but I thought AU had a 10 win team this season, 8 wins at least. To be staring at a losing season with the starters we had returning is hard to believe. Excluding Bama and UF, the SEC was as average as I can remember in recent memory. As for next season, the offense is always a question mark at best and the D could well be without Marks and Coleman along with the seniors. Honestly, do you see a big improvment next season? I just don't see it.
dperessed-I feel the O will be much better next year. If AU gets a spread minded OC, that can play well with others, and develop the recruits AU has coming in (which I think have run a version of a spread) the O will be very much improved.
The D will be fine even if Marks and Coleman leave. I feel with the team style of play Rhoads has, anyone can step in a play. He is so much more basci than Muschamp. Good technique is what he looks for, not flashy playing, which is what most of us fans look for.
depressedAUfan, I am not sure how you cannot see room for improvement next season. It won't take much offense to look better than this season and the defense should remain solid. The secondary should be tough. The linebackers have depth and the defensive line is always good.
The top recruited talent will be reaching maturity in the next 2 years. Can CTT get an OC that will be able to right the ship in 1 year? Maybe, but not probable. Will the fans wait more than one year? If there is a significant offensive program in place next season that has a chance to improve even further by 2010, I hope so.
IMO, the incoming OC will have to find a way to get our WRs to perform much better in order for our O to be good.
We may be a little thin at DL next season, but at the end of last season we were projected to be so this year also. Maybe Tez will get a 7th year.
wtc-I know there have been issues with injuries and no offensive support, but the D has not played as well as I had hoped they would. The rushing defense especially has been downright painful to watch at times this year. It seems that several of the better defenses now run multiple looks and try to disguise their defense to keep the offenses off balance. I'm not saying his style won't work, but it was hardly a raging success taking the season as a whole. Steve, other than Kodi, do you think ANY other offensive player has improved this season? UGA had given up 125 points the three games before AU, and we lit 'em up for 13. I'm not saying there won't be improvment next season, but I don't think that's saying much
The UGA students from my neighborhood wear them now. It's kinda scary to think that a school that once proudly sported mullets has spawned a popular collegiate hairstyle.
When you look at the players we are graduating, we aren't loosing much. Davis and Lester will be gone, but Tate and Fannin remain. Loosing Doolittle is probably the biggest loss.
depressedAUfan, the defensive play has largely been a result of poor offensive performance. I consider being number 10 in scoring defense pretty good considering the schedule we have played and the amount of time the defense has been on the field.
I don't think you have to look very far to see the difference a year makes. Not many prognosticators thought those 'necks we love to hate would be much imrpoved this year. The rosiest predictions I heard were 8 wins. But, they brought in a new coordinator and some young talent and now they are productive. Good coaching goes a long way. How do you explain the 93 season? Or, the 2000 season? The right pieces in place make all the difference.
Steve, can't argue with that number. My main dissapointment has been how the other team has been able to run the ball when everyone in the stadium knew they were going to(W Va and Arky come to mind) and we couldn't stop them. Maybe the offensive funk spread to the rest of the team including the unspecial teams. Man, what a year. BTW, I have my hate Bama game face ready, and will be hoping for a miracle.
The Weather Channel forecasts rain in TTown until noon tommorow, then rain returning at 9 pm. I hope JHWest drains well. Rain and a sloppy field will help the hated bad guys.
Do you think it is a coincidence that their coach was born on Halloween?
Do you think that it is a coincidence that only one letter separates his name from satan?
Do you think it is a coincidence that at the end of his first regular season he had 6 wins, 6 losses, and extended the losing streak to 6, for a nice little total of 666?
I think not.
The future of the world depends on Auburn tomorrow. It is the ultimate battle of good and evil.
i've listened to the new GNR 3 times through now. by the third time i was really diggin it. don't got into it expecting another APPETITE but i'm really diggin it. worth the money imo.
Hey all, I have been busy doing my part in the hate bam-a-thon. I've spent the afternoon making vodoo dolls of Saban, Jessica Parker Wilson and Fat Bastard Cody. Expect them to whither as I stick pins in them during the game.
thanks scottie B- i think i will get it on itunes... i am worried about tomorrow in one aspect. Nebraska wore red, was at home, and won, Arkansas wore red, was at home, and won..... see a scary pattern? Lou Holtz ssshhhaid the key for AU to win was Kodi Burnsshss. Is he playssshs well, Au can win. I said to myself, thanks, Captain Obvious. Mary May said if they use Fannin a ton and in key situations, they should do well. Duh, Sargent Common Sense. Geez, and how much do they get paid? The HOTTIES have said this stuff for weeks. 7 7 7 7 7
It is Iron Bowl Eve. Hopefully everyone is spending it with the ones they love and hating from afar the ones they hate. If Nick Saban comes down my chimney tonight, I am going to hit him upside the head with a shovel. What am I talking about? I don't know. Too much day old pumpkin pie.
Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Auburn, of the Plains, my brothers and sisters! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Auburn people fails, when we forsake our school and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day! An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of Orange and Blue comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men and Women of the Plains!
Are the bammers storming our village, coosa? Cause if they are I will stand by you and wield my axe and make some heads roll. They may take our lives, but they will never take 7!
Spending a few days in Florence Alabama has only intensified my hate for all things bama. I have never seen so much wal-mart merchandise being worn in my whole life.
I'm getting ready to go have some Hate Dreams of Bama.
HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMAHATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA HATE BAMA
1. Will Tubs hold up 7 fingers after the game? I'm sure the players will, but I wonder if he'll do it, considering how bad the season has been? My guess is no.
2. Will Paul Finebaum have the courage to go on the air Monday? I'm thinking that he calls in sick.
Sorry Jet G. - You have certainly done your share this week. I'm just trying to do a little to fan the flames of hate since I haven't been around lately.
I left my in-laws to come home and post alone. It was a huge sacrifice, but I was willing to my duty for the cause.
I understand. It's just that this is the first year in a long long time (read 98) that we have gone into this game with me thinking there is no way we can win.
You are so right again Jet G. The toothless types that have never been to tuscalooser are the reason I hate the evil empire. You kiddies don't understand what it was like growing up in the 60's. We lost to bammer every year from 59 to 68, except for the win in 63. Then a slight respite from the Sullivan years and the Amazins; then 9 in a row.
My worst memories growing up are of a boy name Dickie. He was 5 grades ahead of me in school, but 8 years older cause he had failed 3 years. He was fat, stupid, and ugly, but 3 times bigger than me and he made life miserable for me. I don't know where he is today, but if he's alive, I'm sure he's sleeping with a crimson teddy bear tonight. There were so many like him; they made life miserable for me.
Ironically, most of the folks I've known that actually went to UAT didn't really care anything about football. I had a girl that worked for me that graduated from there and never attended a football game during her 4 years of college.
Its the toothless variety of bammers that really get to me. They talk of what "we" will do. They will not be able to handle it when "we" lose tomorrow.
Blasphemy Mark! We not only can win, we will! There just isn't that much difference in the talent level of the teams. In 98, there was a huge difference and we even had a bammer as our acting head coach. We truly had no chance then.
This year is very different. bammer has gotten every lucky break imaginable this year; AU has gotten every bad break imaginable. Luck eventually evens out.
It is just like 82. Randy Campbell tried to lead a last minute TD drive to beat GA and fell just short. Against bammer, Bo went over the top and AU won. Similar results this year - this time Kodi gets into the endzone.
Man, Arizona State is treating UCLA's QB like he's Brandon Cox or something.
And I know it's been a while, but I had to delay lunch a little bit after seeing that poor kid from State's leg break. Man, if he were four-legged, he'd be put down by now.
With UAT-esque relatives in the area (my parents are from Centre originally -- big ups to Cherokee County) I understand that if Tuscaloosa is the armpit of the universe, then Gadsden is at least a nasal cavity.
FSJ, is that really what happened to Kenny Rogers? I saw him on one of those music collection shows and it looked like someone beat him with an ugly stick.
Phred's Pharewell: War Eagle to all the hotties. Gone for the weekend. Pull us through. I'll be watching.
ReplyDeleteAnd just remember ... if you don't hate Bama - you ain't tryin'.
If you don't hate Bama, then you are Bama.
ReplyDeleteIn place at the Lake ... a little misty ... perfect football playin' weather.
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle, HATE!
Hate Bama. Its not a fad, its a way of life.
ReplyDeleteThe Roundtable is a good show, but they seem to talk more about Steaks Divine than they do Auburn.
ReplyDeletewe need some of the hatin that ole miss is putting on ms state. a surplus of hate.
ReplyDeleteEd Orgeron stocked that team with talent and now Houston Nutt is taking advantage of it.
ReplyDeleteOrgeron might be at UT with Kiffin if the rumors are true.
ReplyDeleteHe's a good recruiter.
ReplyDeleteMiss State player just broke his leg as bad as I have ever seen a broken leg. It is disgusting. Prayers with him and his family.
ReplyDeleteWas it Theisman or Prothro like? I can't bring myself to rewind the DVR to watch.
ReplyDeleteHappy Iron Bowl Eve everyone. There is a nutty example of why you don't get rid of a successful coach. Yes, Houston "My Personality" Nutt has Ole Miss destroying Mississippi State. Suddenly Arkansas is Ole Miss and Ole Miss is Arkansas. Things have changed.
ReplyDeleteThere are other good examples out there, such a Lloyd Carr at Michigan. When you have a successful coach, you stick with him.
Notre Dame provides another good example of bringing in a big name coach, paying him a crap load of money, and getting reamed.
Now, we have our two new experiments in coaching changes, namely UT and Clemson. Lets see how that works out for them.
Miss State player just broke his leg as bad as I have ever seen a broken leg. It is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to give some kudos to Raycom for not doing the ESPN thing and showing a replay of this injury over and over and over.
All hopes for a full and speedy recovery to the injured player, wide receiver Brandon McRae. Injuries like this can be devastating.
Roman, I agree. There is no sense in replaying it over and over. I can imagine a family watching their kid hurt and eagerly awaiting some word. They would have to set and watch it happen over and over again. There is not point in it.
ReplyDeleteHow did it happen?
ReplyDeleteKristina hanging out with Roundtable. Cool Deal.
ReplyDeleteKris- The WR #6 was running a route and just broke it untouched at the end of it. Just Crazy.
ReplyDeleteMcRae wasn't even hit; he was slowing down after running a crossing route.
ReplyDeleteLeg snapped.
Raycom reports it's a tibia fracture, though it's bad one because it punctured the skin. Infection = Prothro.
Wow, compound fracture with no contact. That doesn't happen very often. Thanks for giving me the description for without it, my morbid curiosity would have gotten the best of me and I would have re-wound the DVR.
ReplyDeleteGood luck today on the HateTable with Josh Moon and Doug Amos. It is fitting it is raining on Hate Friday.

ReplyDeleteI am wondering how long Croom will last at Mississippi State. When you consider the coaches he is competing against, he has a tought job.
ReplyDeleteTuberville, Miles, Saban, Nutt, Petrino
That is pretty tough company to compete with.
I wouldn't mind see Mrs. Kiffin walking around Auburn.
ReplyDeleteI believe Kiffin to UT is for real.

been working in the yard most of the morning. gotta catch up with the HATE.

also, has anyone else listened to the new GUNS & ROSES : CHINESE DEMOCRACY? i'm diggin it. rockin the ipod cleaning up leaves. sweet.
Eddie4AU,
ReplyDeleteI played 18 at the Concord. Fun course.
However, I'm afraid my score may be larger than the number of rushing yards Ben Tate has tomorrow!
They said Jay G was getting ready to be on the Hate Table after the break. Trouble is they said he was the Beat writer for Auburn. Man, don't they know,,,,he is the Hate writer for Auburn.
ReplyDeleteMr. S- Sorry to hear you shot a 180. That sucks. On a side note, how did you enjoy the straight downhill par 3. I grew up playing golf as a kid on that course.
ReplyDeleteI will have to make it to a HABOTN hangout with Jay. That would be fun. Way to represent Kristina.
ReplyDeleteWhat up all ya hatas
ReplyDeleteHey Biscuit- We are all keeping the Hate. Only 25 hours to Hatefest 7.
ReplyDeleteI shot a 111, but if Tate gets that much I'll be happy. That downhill 3 was fun. I parred that. Blew up some of my other putts.
ReplyDeletePeace out, Hotties. I'm rolling back to the Gump.
JG, destined to be 9-3? ausome.
ReplyDeletejust for the record, that is PHRED on the radio, not SPREAD.
ReplyDeletekudos Phreddie. safe travels my friend.
Way to go Phred. Let's break their Heart tomorrow!!!
ReplyDeletesslooks like lsu has gone to jefferson as the qb
ReplyDeleteMark- Jefferson is QB by default. Other two qb's are out due to injury.
ReplyDeleteJay- That is the correct response for the pick.
ReplyDeleteseriously? when did Lee get hurt?
ReplyDeleteMark- Lee got hurt in the 2nd half last week against Ole Miss.
ReplyDeleteArkansas is running the ball down LSU throats.
ReplyDeleteOur year is disappointing no doubt, but they are a close 2nd.
People can say what they want about Petrino, but he is an offensive mastermind in my opinion.

I hate evil.
bear/rk,
ReplyDeletei've listened to the new GNR 3 times through now. by the third time i was really diggin it. don't got into it expecting another APPETITE but i'm really diggin it. worth the money imo.
just finished making me a BEAT BAMA cookie cake for tomorrow with a nice big '7' on it. gotta do my part for the HATE-parade!
ReplyDeleteHey all, I have been busy doing my part in the hate bam-a-thon. I've spent the afternoon making vodoo dolls of Saban, Jessica Parker Wilson and Fat Bastard Cody. Expect them to whither as I stick pins in them during the game.
ReplyDeleteHate Bama, Beat Bama.
Anyone watching the Iron Bowl Preview on WAKA? It's been a bammer circle jerk for about 37 minutes.
ReplyDeletethanks scottie B- i think i will get it on itunes... i am worried about tomorrow in one aspect. Nebraska wore red, was at home, and won, Arkansas wore red, was at home, and won..... see a scary pattern?
ReplyDeleteLou Holtz ssshhhaid the key for AU to win was Kodi Burnsshss. 7 7 7 7 7
Good work Eddie. In general, I wouldn't approve of voodoo, but in this case its permissible.
ReplyDeleteKodi has the ring.
ReplyDeleteIt must be returned to the fires of hell in Tuscaloosa where it was created. If Saban gets the ring, all humanity will suffer for eons.
Kodi is so young and innocent for such a job, but he must succeed.
7 is the number of perfection and completion. If Kodi can make 2 trips into the bammer end zone, it should be enough to destroy the ring forever.
WAKA has been a bammer circle jerk all season. I'd just as soon listen to Finebaum.
ReplyDeleteIts us against the world; a world of evil.
We must not fail.
I don't even know why we are playing the game tomorrow. According to CBS today, they are hosting 1 vs 2 next week. They hae already decided that.
ReplyDeleteSCREW CBS and SCREW BAMA.
Time to put up #7 and Hate Bama.
ReplyDeleteHold your ground, hold your ground!
ReplyDeleteAre the bammers storming our village, coosa? Cause if they are I will stand by you and wield my axe and make some heads roll. They may take our lives, but they will never take 7!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading back on the blog the past couple of days - lots of good work here.
ReplyDeleteBut I fear you may have peaked too soon. The level of hate is diminishing. Now is not the time to get complacent.
If Nick Saban comes down my chimmney, I'm baking cyanide cookies.
ReplyDeleteSpending a few days in Florence Alabama has only intensified my hate for all things bama. I have never seen so much wal-mart merchandise being worn in my whole life.
ReplyDeleteHATE BAMA!
That's the spirit Michael! I just got thru watching "300" for the 3rd time.
ReplyDeleteIf the bammers want our weapons, let them come and take them!
Peak?
ReplyDeleteCoosa thinks we've peaked.
Well, I'm hurt ... but I'm HATIN' hurt.
I'm pullin' out the Magic H8 Ball again for a question:
Have the HOTTIES peaked?
Answer from the Magic H8 Ball: NOT ONLY NO, BUT HATE NO!
HATE BAMA. HATE BAMA. HATE BAMA!
Barzini is dead. So is Philip
ReplyDeleteTattaglia, so are Strachi, Cuneo and Moe Greene... I want to square all
the family accounts tonight.
So BAMA's next.
I'm getting ready to go have some Hate Dreams of Bama.

A couple serious questions-
ReplyDelete1. Will Tubs hold up 7 fingers after the game? I'm sure the players will, but I wonder if he'll do it, considering how bad the season has been? My guess is no.
2. Will Paul Finebaum have the courage to go on the air Monday? I'm thinking that he calls in sick.
Eddie is my hero.
ReplyDeleteIf I hadn't been fixed, I'd father another son and name him:
Eddie Sensible Michael Jet.
And if it turned out to be a girl, it would be Monica Kristina Edna.
Because Eddie is one of my primary HATIN' heroes.
My heart hurts. My TRM Tigers fumbled on the one yard line with seconds to go and lost the semi-final of 3A playoffs.
ReplyDelete:-(
My guess is that TT will holding up seven, then withdraw six, leaving a special one up.
ReplyDeleteI will listening for the first time in a year after the 7 to hear the spit and sputter of Fbaum.
Pain tonight.
ReplyDeletePleasure tomorrow.
Hate it for the T.R. Miller Tigers, but I just HATE BAMA.
Sorry Jet G. - You have certainly done your share this week. I'm just trying to do a little to fan the flames of hate since I haven't been around lately.
ReplyDeleteI left my in-laws to come home and post alone. It was a huge sacrifice, but I was willing to my duty for the cause.
Coosa ...
ReplyDeleteSent Mrs. Jet to bed with a benadryl ... the kids are upstairs, so I'm focused and ready to put the full-court HATE on for the evening.
HATE UAT.
There are two types of UAT fans:
ReplyDeletePretentious, entitled windbags.
Toothless, mesh hat types that barely made it our of junior high, much less made it to Tuscaloosa.
Guess what?
Hate 'em both
Sorry about the loss Monica; you've been a good soldier this week and deserved a win. Tomorrow will make up for it.
ReplyDeleteNotice how I edited the Tolkien quote to make it gender neutral? Do I get points for being sensitive?
I can be sensitive toward AU people and still hate bammer.
I liked CTT so much better when we didn't have to sit up late hatin on Bama. We knew we would win.
ReplyDeleteWell, at the end this year, at least we still have hate. I have my on special hate on for CTT as well.
Coosa ... love to the Hotties ... hate to Bama.
ReplyDeleteMark ... favorite ... underdog don't matter ... ALWAYS HATE BAMA.
I understand. It's just that this is the first year in a long long time (read 98) that we have gone into this game with me thinking there is no way we can win.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right again Jet G.
ReplyDeleteMy worst memories growing up are of a boy name Dickie.
Jet-I just put a pot of coffe on so let the hatin' heat up bro.
ReplyDeleteMark ... that ain't no way for a HATER to talk.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it ... while UAT has a senior QB and some dynamic players, I just don't think the talent differential across board is that great.
It's just a matter of QB play and minimizing mistakes.
plus, we've got HATE on our side.
Coffee ... what a great idea ... but i'll just drink in my adrenaline.
ReplyDeleteHas Jay G filled us in on his plans for tomorrow? Travel? When he'll start posting?
ReplyDeleteIt's important.
We want to maximize our opportunities to HATE.
Maybe Tubbs will ine Mario up for direct snap and run the wild'hate'tiger offense.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind seeing a special package of the Tech/Navy double wing with Mario and Tristan or Brad at the wings and Tate as the FB.
ReplyDeleteBlasphemy Mark! We not only can win, we will! There just isn't that much difference in the talent level of the teams. In 98, there was a huge difference and we even had a bammer as our acting head coach. We truly had no chance then.
ReplyDeleteThis year is very different. bammer has gotten every lucky break imaginable this year; AU has gotten every bad break imaginable.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know it's been a while, but I had to delay lunch a little bit after seeing that poor kid from State's leg break. Man, if he were four-legged, he'd be put down by now.
Oh, and HATE BAMA.
Ok Peeps....
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for a long night of cooking and HATING.
The pregame feast is served at 1:30 PM sharp tomorrow...
The menu:
Pulled Pork
Tiger Spareribs
BBQ Beans
Potato Salad
Homemade Crimson colored BBQ Sauce
Banana Pudding
Beer
Golden Flake Chips &
Coca Cola (Great Pair, says the Bear)
Whiskey
Hickory & Cherry Wood. Smells like VICTORY!
fsj ...
ReplyDeletei've found that chips and coke don't mix well ... you might want to eat them separately.
i presume this is a feast to be had in gadsden.
My hate for bammer sparkles like a disco ball......
ReplyDeleteHATE HATE HATE
HATE HATE HATE
HATE THE BAMMERS
AU's coming in on helicopters, giving UAT a dose of Wagner.
ReplyDeleteHating the whole way
Yes Jet....
ReplyDeleteThis is the biggest gathering yet.
I'm a little worried about the number of Auburn fans that will be in attendance.....I'm worried for their safety...Hate and all.
Faker - Greg wants to know if you ship to WV...
ReplyDeleteWith UAT-esque relatives in the area (my parents are from Centre originally -- big ups to Cherokee County) I understand that if Tuscaloosa is the armpit of the universe, then Gadsden is at least a nasal cavity.
ReplyDeleteHave a bad day.
HATE BAMA.
D- like a disco ball?
ReplyDeleteNice. Very nice.
Here's my basic plan:
ReplyDeleteLeaving the Gump at 10 a.m.
Getting into Tusca. around noon.
I had some connection issues at Alabama last time. My hope is that I'll be running a campfire starting around 1:30 CST.
I'll start blogging at 12:30-12:45.
I tell you what I am shipping tomorrow...to ALL 50 states...
ReplyDeletePAIN...delivered by the men in Crimson.
Faker - Greg said, "I'll be watching for a black Escalade."
ReplyDelete(LOL@Greg)
I hope that I have been able to convey a certain HATE I have for UAT.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to let you know that I also HATE:
The duo of Holtz and May
Nearly all TV commercials
Fbaum
Just to get started.
But I HATE UAT most of all.
FSJ
ReplyDeleteReturn to sender. Undeliverable due to lack of ability to deliver on promise.
Monica - that's right - The Disco Ball of Hate!
ReplyDeleteIt's Rainin' HATE!!!
Jay G ...
ReplyDeleteif you're still w/ us ... your take on Kiffin?
If we can put pressure on Jessice Parker, he will fold like a lawn chair.
ReplyDeleteI'll start blogging at 12:30-12:45.
ReplyDeleteBut the hate starts now.
HATE BAMA
HATE BAMA
I wouldn't ind seeing Marks roll JPW up like a garden hose Saturday. Once or twice and he'll start throwing to the stands on 3rd and short.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, looks like I have lots of HATE to catch up on...
ReplyDeleteHow about a little Purple Hate?
ReplyDeleteGet ready for the PAIN zoo keeper..
ReplyDeleteThere is so much Hate out there that I hate it that I won't be able to catch up. It makes me Hate bama even more.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I laugh at your empty promises FSJ...HA HA HA
ReplyDeleteWhen you have given birth with no meds, then you may speak to me of pain...
ReplyDeleteTrickeration tomorrow, or play it straight?
ReplyDeleteI'm think we play it straight.
Straight + Hate = Victory
Don't worry about the zookeeper. She is going to shoot the pachyderms with a butt load of animal tranquilizer.
ReplyDeleteThat's a hateful laugh, Zoo Keeper...
ReplyDeleteI like it.
LMAO!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen you have given birth with no meds...
Top that, punk Faker!
Auburn= Rock and Roll
ReplyDeleteAlabama= Bay City Rollers

ReplyDeleteYou are more of a man than me.
I can remember how Mrs. FSJ was until they gave her the epidural....We all were in pain.
After the epidural, she was like a dope head....."Hhhhhayyy guys...I'm having another contraction, but they are NUTHIN like the other ones were!"
Kinda funny ... quiet in here, then FSJ sticks his head up ...
ReplyDeleteand the HATE starts pouring in.
Love the HATE

ReplyDeleteI'm the straw that stirs the hate filled drink.
did the sportswriters do a poll this year, Jay?
ReplyDeleteNo doubt ... on Turbo Prop's birth, Mrs. Jet was induced ... no contractions to contractions every 2 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThought she wanted to go natural ... then an hour later, she grabbed me by the throat and said get the $%&^%&%$% doctor.
and swirls around the bottom of the toilet
ReplyDeleteStraws suck.
ReplyDeleteAuburn = Aretha Franklin

Lane Kiffin is a great hire for Tennessee. He'll be really good there.

ReplyDeleteAU = Shug's 7 D's of success
FSJ, is that really what happened to Kenny Rogers? I saw him on one of those music collection shows and it looked like someone beat him with an ugly stick.
ReplyDeleteSince we all hate UAT would Saban the master hater?
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked that Josh picked against Nick Saban...
ReplyDeleteReally, I am.
Steve...
ReplyDeleteHe had a terrible facelift a couple of years ago. He looks much worse after it than he did before.
That explains a lot. He really should have it lowered again.
ReplyDeleteThere are 2 state institutions in Tuscaloosa, and you've got to be crazy to be in either.
ReplyDeleteHomer Matthews picked Bama 31-7? No way.
