Sunday of Iron Bowl week
Hey everyone. Thanks to the hard-core HOTTIES for attending last night's campfire. There really was no reason for us to convene and talk about the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game, but we don't heed orthodoxy here. We do what we want.
Roll call: Monica, Bear82, FSJ, DnATL, SteveFC, Zimas4Ziemba, DennyCrum, Peter Frakenschmidt, Eddie4AU, Michael, Mr Sensible.
Thanks for helping me make it to 9 p.m.
I saw this sign (at left) while walking into the Athletic Complex today. Just thought you might like to see what the players see when they're coming to work. Someone from the alumni association was thinking ahead. I wouldn't mind seeing a sign that said "Work Hard: Good leads and transitions today!" but I'm just a lowly hack.
SCHEDULE UPDATE: Auburn began practice at 3 p.m. CST in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The lights are on. I'm told practice will go at least 16 periods, which means we'll be talking to Tuberville around 6 p.m. CST.
Today's designated interviewees are:
LB Josh Bynes
DE Antonio Coleman
LB Chris Evans
DE Michael Goggans
DB Walt McFadden
WR Rod Smith
I'll provide a Tuberville summary immediately after his commentary ends. I'll be doing a video tonight, which I expect to hit the HABOTN around 8:30 p.m. I'll also have player reaction at some point.
No. 20 AUBURN 87, No. 18 OHIO STATE 80: Whitney Boddie (right) gets the official HABOTN Baller of the Game for contributing 14 points and 11 assists in 41 minutes of work. Alli Smalley, who was a terrible shooter last year, apparently has turned the corner. She dropped 23 points Sunday on 9-of-17 shooting. The Tigers now are 4-0.

Love the sign....We believe is right. I do believe. Once again i might be half full glass kind of guy though.
I'm not able to attend, but (via Gametracker) the AU-Ohio State women's game looks like a really good one ...
OT game. Lets go Tigers.
These are two of the better teams around. I think they'll both be flirting with the top 10 throughout the season ...
Glad to be there. It was fun as always.
5 point lead with 1 minute to play.
Your No. 20 Auburn Tigers beat No. 18 Ohio State, 87-80, in women's hoops.
Good win by the lady tigers. War Eagle.
I noticed that sign in Dean Foy's yard last week. I can't believe it's Iron Bowl Week. War Eagle!!
I am beginning to believe Auburn has a shot against Bama. Talent wise, I think we are ahead, primarily in the defensive front 7. There is no question Bama has the better offensive line after Franklin made his adjustments.
The big question for this game will be simple. Can Auburn shut down that Bama run game. If we do that, I think we have a pretty good chance.
"Work Hard: Good leads and transitions today!"
THAT CRACKED ME UP! Tear producing laughter. I know. The strangest things set me off.
I've long held that if I were, by some clerical mistake, to end up in hell, my punishment would be being forced to view continuous WNBA replays. That being said, I'm happy that Auburn's women's BBall team looks good.
I also hope Auburn defies all odds and beats Bama.
Thanks for your support, Monica.
At least someone thought it was funny.
"i believe i can fly".
Well well well. The streak is over. You had to know you wouldn't reach 9 in a row, after all we have Nick. 36 to 00. Wow and some of you barners actually thought you had a shot at an upset. How stupid you must feel right now. Oh well don't feel too bad. You've 364 days to get over it before it happens again. ROLL TIDE friends and neighbors.
