Auburn represented in Atlanta

What a pleasant surprise today as I roll into the Georgia Dome and see these guys in their familiar spot along the back row of the press box.

It's the Auburn stat crew! They're here providing their usual level of excellence for The Big Game, which makes me happy.

In Auburn's press box, I sit directly ahead of these three -- L to R: Mr. Williams, Tommy Elliott, David Storey -- and it makes my life so much easier. They call out the tackler on each play. They identify down and distance, drive statistics ... bascially anything you'd ever need during a game.

They're also HOTTIES, so that helps as well.

*Disclaimer: There are other members of the stats crew, but I've known these three all along.

  2. So how's the crowd at the dome? I'm sure Bama fans outnumber the Florida fans.

  3. Florida will miss Harvin. I don't think Bama has had any significant injuries this year. They have been very lucky. And you need some of that to win a championship.

  4. This crowd looks like a 50-50 split.

  10. Archie looks like he may have stepped behind the stage to indugle in a fattie.

    Sorry, Neal.

  11. I went to the SECCG the first time Tuberville got there and we played Florida. It was pretty evenly split then too. Spurrier kicked out butts that game, but it was very memorable.

  14. Scottie ... the game is in TAMPA.

Not a lot of indigenous BC and VPI fans.

  15. that was a crappy game SFC. i sat about 15 rows up in the corner of the endzone. Rudi was bottled up all day by the Gator D.

  18. How many teams in the SEC do you think would beat the ACC champ? My guess is 8.

  19. Can't wait to see them, Scottie. (He's really talented everybody)

Scottie - No. That is one reason they would like to move it to Charlotte. MD was concerned that if they went to the ACC Champ game in Tampa, not many would travel to FL a second time for the bowl game.

Of course, they should have worried about winning their games to get there but oh well.

    How about Navy!!

  23. I am for Ohio State in the BCSBSNCG, but it doesn't appear likely. I kind of thought it a nice tradition to have Ohio State play the SEC champ every season in the BCSBSNCG. Seems fair enough to me.

Ah, but see, my kids loved those uniforms. You have to remember, that is also the biggest recruiting day for Navy and Army.

And I thought those Uni's were awesome. Duty. Honor. Country.

  30. Sorry Monica, but I even like some of Oregon's uniforms. But not those awful yellow ones that Cal wears sometimes. Still hope Auburn never messes with the BEST uniform in college football

  31. Greg said, "...those uni's looked like fake camo I would have gotten as a kid after playing in the yard for a year...or pajamas."

Guess he didn't feel they were rockin the camo on the field. LOL

  32. I agree with steve even though Ol Miss lost to wake forest and Vandy got beat by Wake as well

  33. I don't think 8 teams in the SEC would beat GT or UNC. No way. The SEC is light this year.

I'm not sure Bama would beat GT...

  34. Tar - why are you sorry to me? I think I missed something.

  35. Count me in on the Army unis. I thought it was cool for a one off thing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm so happy y'all don't get to pick our uni's.

  37. Al Del Greco is recognized before the game as an Auburn Legend ... dude gets booed like Santa Claus at a Philadelphia Eagles game.

  39. Hey guys..

Great to see everyone onboard today.

Hard to believe we were playing Bama last Saturday.
