If we had landed julio "the escalade" jones, would we be in a search for head coach? I hate to think that one person can make that much of a difference, yet this guy has been advantageous for bama whether you like it or not.
Read an article, said SEC Basketball is the worst it has been in 20 years, said the next to worst basketball team in the ACC or Big East would win the SEC West
Auburn stuff looks like high school by comparison.
It's weird for me to see this game ... I'm so used to seeing a team that can't accomplish much offensively. Alabama gets push up front, the tailback gets through the hole, the wideout shakes tackles and pulls away from people.
How many of those god awful houndstooth baseball hats do you see? That has to rank pretty high in the worst clothing hall of fame, i.e., parachute pants, bell bottoms,
Problem for Florida, they have small fast Defensive lineman and linebackers, Alabama is big and nasty, Florida is getting pushed around the middle of the field. That is Florida's achilles heel.
Stabler and Namath didnt start 3 ot 4 years like JPW did, plus they were more famous from their pro days, JPW will be like Brandon Cox, selling real estate, pharmaceutical, etc after his playing days
Bama is doing something CTT use to harp on with us back around 2003. He would say that we needed to be able to run when they new we were going to run and had 8 or 9 in the box. Later he went away from that and said we couldn't run because they were loading the box.
Checkin' in briefly ... good to see some Bama hate in the house.
I'm at a meeting with people from all 50 ... several looked at me funny when I did the Gator Chop when someone asked me if I was excited about the game.
They said, "You're from Alabama, but you're not for Alabama?"
Here in Mobile, prime example of band wagon bama fans, been this way all year long. The game is on and fans all over are driving around with their flags, hats, etc...Now if you were a fan wouldnt you be at home watching the game???
no hate like our hate my wife and I both from N Carolina, met in organic chem at AU. Our wills state that either kids' inheritance goes to Auburn if they attend UA-T. My wife's idea. I love her so much!
Tebow was just praising himself during his Herbie interview that he no longer tried to get it all done on his own. That he had matured and knew how to manage the game, etc.
He seems to be doing a lot of it himself. Which, by the way, is fine with me as long as they win.
That was a funny look on Tebow's face at the end of that play. I interpreted that shake of his head as, "Geez golly Beav, these guys are real knuckleheads."
This Coaching search in starting to look like the last Alabama search. Please for the Love of God leave all coaches alone that are under Jimmy Sexton. Unless you are going get Davis.
Going back to what Jay said about us already having somebody lined up I sure hope so. Since FSU is saying nobody has contacted them makes me think Sexton pumped his name like Nutt. Do we actually have any confirmation that contact was really made?
McLovin- Jimbo is Jimmy Rane's favorite coach and he was pushing the hardest for him. Not sure if he had anyone else on board, but it was a legit candidate. I'm sure Sexton took that inch and ran with it big time.
Go gators!! I think I'll take a nap and wait for the fourth quarter......
ReplyDeletewill they ever kickoff
ReplyDeleteILTW. Repeat. ILTW.
ReplyDeleteeverybody, last chance to potty ;-)
ReplyDelete3:08 to kickoff.
ReplyDeletewish that was our orange and blue.......sigh :(
ReplyDeleteThe CBS crew is lovin' them some bammer. They sounded giddy when bammer ran out. The Red Elephant club must have compromised them.
ReplyDeleteWell, looks like Teebow meant what he said. The man has the Lord by his side. He can't lose.
ReplyDeleteWatching Tebow in the news conference. He looks like he would have been in the first Crusade called by you guessed it, Pope Urban II.
ReplyDeleteyou always have the best seats. well, except for mine.
ReplyDeleteDenny - You're right. I think Verne shuddered! Oy vey.
ReplyDeleteagreed Denny. he was one focused young man. you can't help but like the kid.
ReplyDeleteVerne has got man love for the tide. It is both bizzare and sad.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Tebow's motto is deus vult (latin)= God wills it. I mean that in neutral fashion.
ReplyDeleteAnother note. Florida just ran a nice option.
another option
ReplyDeleteThis offense is looking unstoppable.
ReplyDeleteFlorida can run whatever they want with Tim Tebow.
ReplyDeleteMt Twinkie is just another guard with his offense.
ReplyDeleteTried to tell FSJ..
Just remember Tim Tebow will never know what it is like to beat Auburn. And remember, Tebow didn't look that unstoppable against Auburn.
ReplyDeleteArenas should have been ejected
Ut oh. Bammer needs to answer. Florida made that look way too easy.
ReplyDeleteimpressive touchdown!!
ReplyDeleteDenny, those were just love taps. They are just excited.
ReplyDeleteI hope Urban hangs 50 on them.
ReplyDeletePlagues on the Georgia Dome! Plagues, I say! (of course innocents like Jay G and the Auburn stat crew will be protected).
ReplyDeleteI hope bammer gets beat so bad that they plummet in the standings.
ReplyDeletetebow is definitely a man on a mission and looks hot too
ReplyDeleteI really don't like the Georgia Dome.
ReplyDeleteYou had to know play action was coming there.
ReplyDeleteHey Monica---yep, recovered the optimism. Feeling the love...but also...
ReplyDeleteFEELIN' THE HATE ON BAMA!!!
damn
ReplyDeletedouble damn
ReplyDeleteThere goes my blowout hopes.
ReplyDeleteImpressive quick drive by Alabama. This could get very interesting.
ReplyDeletehulio hones yuck
ReplyDeletebad coffee yuck
bbboooo!!!
ReplyDeleteNo alcohol today..
ReplyDeleteJust strong coffee.
Extra strong.
Starbucks HATE Roast.
i can't stand that head referee
ReplyDeleteThat's most excellent news, Reynolds. Yep, feeling the same hate here!
ReplyDeleteCome on Florida.
ReplyDeleteThat was a pathetic defensive performance from Florida. Goodness gracious.
ReplyDeleteIf we had landed julio "the escalade" jones, would we be in a search for head coach? I hate to think that one person can make that much of a difference, yet this guy has been advantageous for bama whether you like it or not.
ReplyDeleteGot away with a facemask.
ReplyDeleteJay, you stated on the Roundtable Friday that us hotties didn't care about this game today. dead wrong. we care...ALOT.
ReplyDeleteHATE.
Go Gators!
that Bama TD looked way too easy.
Why are they trying to run up the middle?
ReplyDeletemissed an obvious block in the back
ReplyDeleteWhy are they punting to Arenas??
ReplyDeleteThe head ref reminds me of Blinky fron Pacman- that is Pacmanan the video game!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have extra hate! Just ate some steak fa-hate-as.
ReplyDeleteam i too easily amused or do others enjoy those Sonic commercials?
ReplyDeletePeter's feelin it.
ReplyDeleteI get a laugh out of those Sonic commercials.
ReplyDeleteWhy do they always miss the obvious calls when it comes to Bama?
ReplyDeletecome on DEE FENCE
ReplyDeleteas much as i hate to say this, I dont think UF will win this game
ReplyDeleteGo gators!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe CBS commentators are finding love for UA, however they can, it was aUful when we played UA, it is discusting now!!!!!
C'mon Frogs, Lice, Locusts, Flood, Boils,Floods, Blood, Angel of Death...oh, and a power outage.
ReplyDeleteI share Tar's and Barkley's sense of humor.
ReplyDeletethey've played 2 minutes and So Cal still hasn't scored on UCLA
ReplyDeleteThe speed and physicality of this games makes our games look like high school.
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot about the USC-UCLA game, I'm glad you mentioned that.
ReplyDeleteUNA getting whupped. I can't stand watching UA-T playing well. I just want to barf. So I channel surf for other games to watch
ReplyDeleteUF is in trouble
ReplyDeleteBama never has penalties, I think Saban made a deal with the devil.
ReplyDeleteucla 7 sc 0
ReplyDeleteit won't last
ReplyDeleteSuccess against Bama, put pressure on JPW and fill the gaps in the middle, Bama only runs north and south.
ReplyDeleteso PDWT he made a deal with himself?
ReplyDeleteBy the way we did neither, I was disappointed in Rhodes calling last week.
ReplyDeleteIs Gary Danielson still hatin on Auburn? Man!
ReplyDeleteI hate these announcers.
ReplyDeleteyea the announcers suck
ReplyDeleteRead an article, said SEC Basketball is the worst it has been in 20 years, said the next to worst basketball team in the ACC or Big East would win the SEC West
ReplyDeleteI am with you Kathy!!!!
ReplyDeleteMonica, you're right on.
ReplyDeleteAuburn stuff looks like high school by comparison.
It's weird for me to see this game ... I'm so used to seeing a team that can't accomplish much offensively. Alabama gets push up front, the tailback gets through the hole, the wideout shakes tackles and pulls away from people.
Completely foreign concepts to me.
I don't watch much football beyond Auburn stuff.
ReplyDeleteJay,
ReplyDeleteHow many of those god awful houndstooth baseball hats do you see? That has to rank pretty high in the worst clothing hall of fame, i.e., parachute pants, bell bottoms,
I wonder if UF knows their in trouble yet?
ReplyDeleteProblem for Florida, they have small fast Defensive lineman and linebackers, Alabama is big and nasty, Florida is getting pushed around the middle of the field. That is Florida's achilles heel.
ReplyDeleteAnd how many more times are they going to say "John Parker Wilson?"
ReplyDeleteI had no idea the houndstooth stuff was so popular.
ReplyDeleteMan, this fast Florida team is getting pushed around by the Bama O and D lines.
ReplyDeleteThe co$mmentators, or lack there of, talk about legacy -Namath liked pantyhose and broadway plays.
ReplyDeleteStabler, well, he just likes burbon and cars. What will JPW's legacy be?
Huh???
ReplyDeletehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa stuffed
ReplyDelete1st coaching mistake of the game goes to Saban
ReplyDeleteStabler and Namath didnt start 3 ot 4 years like JPW did, plus they were more famous from their pro days, JPW will be like Brandon Cox, selling real estate, pharmaceutical, etc after his playing days
ReplyDeleteStupid call by Saban, just gave the momentum away.
ReplyDeleteBama is doing something CTT use to harp on with us back around 2003. He would say that we needed to be able to run when they new we were going to run and had 8 or 9 in the box. Later he went away from that and said we couldn't run because they were loading the box.
ReplyDeleteFact: Florida is loaded, but they miss Percy Harvin.
ReplyDeleteshould be a flag
ReplyDeletePercy who??? Riley Cooper!
ReplyDeleteOk, maybe not that much..haha
ReplyDeleteQuote from Vanilla Ice album, Go white boy, go white boy go...
Jay - Exactly - I forgot what it was like to watch football like this. It's a heckova lot more fun when you can push folks around a little. :-)
ReplyDeleteLet's go for it
ReplyDeleteArena's is begging for some trouble.
ReplyDeleteNeeded 7 there...
ReplyDeleteNick Saban seems so much more positive and upbeat on the sidelines this year than he has been in the past.
ReplyDeleteArenas talks more trash than Oscar the Grouch...he is like an angry chichuahua, watch him everytime he touches the ball he gets up and talks trash
ReplyDeleteWhy not be positive?
ReplyDeleteLSU - on the way down
ARK - Petrino won't be around long enough to matter
Ole Miss - good but beatable
Miss St - Coach gone
AU - coach gone
He's on top of the world, walking on air.
Wow he really does. He needs to cut back on the mood altering roids.
ReplyDeleteYou better not read Saban's lips after that return.
ReplyDeleteOld Nicky is on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
ReplyDeletePunt Bama Punt...
ReplyDeleteCheckin' in briefly ... good to see some Bama hate in the house.
ReplyDeleteI'm at a meeting with people from all 50 ... several looked at me funny when I did the Gator Chop when someone asked me if I was excited about the game.
They said, "You're from Alabama, but you're not for Alabama?"
I said, "Nope. Not now. Not ever."
Like a good boxing match, both land some big punches early, then settle in waiting for opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI get that all the time too, Jet. Weekend conferences suck huge.
ReplyDeleteHere in Mobile, prime example of band wagon bama fans, been this way all year long. The game is on and fans all over are driving around with their flags, hats, etc...Now if you were a fan wouldnt you be at home watching the game???
ReplyDeleteThis game is going to come down to field position the way these two are playing right now. This is a very physical game. GO GATORS!
ReplyDeletegitty up
ReplyDeleteJust remember, kids ...
ReplyDeleteBe a Hater!
Love the Gators!
At least for today.
Then wait for the Boom!!!! (hopefully)
no hate like our hate
ReplyDeletemy wife and I both from N Carolina, met in organic chem at AU.
Our wills state that either kids' inheritance goes to Auburn if they attend UA-T.
My wife's idea.
I love her so much!
Where is "Suligent"?
ReplyDeleteGators need some points
ReplyDeleteJoe Cribb's hometown isn't Sulligent somewhere in the neighborhood of T'loser?
ReplyDeleteVerne - it's not "fountain" of information - it's "font"
ReplyDeletesheesh
Jet- You think all this Jimbo talk is a smoke screen? I think it really could be happening and I'm not a big fan of it.
ReplyDeleteSulligent got beat by Leroy, Alabama in the 2A state championship game today
ReplyDeletesulligent NW of tuscaloser, midway between there and Tupelo MS
ReplyDeleteTebow has good touch. Kodi really should study him.
ReplyDeleteTebow was just praising himself during his Herbie interview that he no longer tried to get it all done on his own. That he had matured and knew how to manage the game, etc.
ReplyDeleteHe seems to be doing a lot of it himself. Which, by the way, is fine with me as long as they win.
Need to come away with seven here.
ReplyDeleteToo Much Tebow, Need 7
ReplyDeleteWell, that was easy enough
ReplyDeleteKeep on pounding them Florida
ReplyDeleteThey needed that
ReplyDeleteThat does it. Tar, you and you wife are invited to dinner, tailgate, SOMETHING with Monica and Greg.
ReplyDeleteLove the inheritance story. LOL
My wife is flipping between the game and Top Chef, help me.
ReplyDeleteYea, the inheritance stuff is pretty hard-core.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea Tarheel Tiger.
ReplyDeleteJay,
ReplyDeleteWhere is the school's Jet this weekend? Anyone tracking it? Also does Tubbs get Golden Flake Chips and Bryan hotdogs for life as part of his buyout?
Florida should have used a timeout there.
ReplyDeletelatest commentary:
ReplyDeleteme: that's right spin him around and throw him (UA-T rcever) on the ground
son: spit on him
wife: please
That was a fast 1st half....
ReplyDeleteentertaining half except for the announcers
ReplyDeleteGuys, at this point do you think they are using the school's jet? The question should be where is the colonial jet or other such corporate jets.
ReplyDeleteThat was a funny look on Tebow's face at the end of that play. I interpreted that shake of his head as, "Geez golly Beav, these guys are real knuckleheads."
ReplyDeleteThat's just me.
Yea Tarheel that a way to raise your youngun up right!!
ReplyDeleteTar, Please keep the commentary coming. Your family is most entertaining.
ReplyDelete"I had a barrel in my backyard so I just threw it."
ReplyDeleteLMAO
SNORT
"Geez golly Beav, these guys are real knuckleheads."
ReplyDeletelmao
Word is that Auburn has a new jet. I need to get that information.
ReplyDeleteNo significant movement lately.
I hear Jay Jacobs is out buying a big red bow for the new lexus he getting for the new coach. That is really good scoop there.
ReplyDeleteTony Barnhart= Master of the obvious
ReplyDeleteFisher expected to remove his name from AU cosideration today ...
ReplyDeleteNo Fisher per Prez.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/orl-bk-fsu-jimbo-fisher-auburn-120608,0,2851462.story
Thats good to hear Jay. The Auburn people leading this search are crazy.
ReplyDelete"I don't think they have $5 million [to buy out Fisher]," Wetherell said of Auburn.
ReplyDeleteHow would he know???
No Fisher = Good news IMHO
ReplyDeleteThanks for passing it along. Monica and Greg have adopted the "if we don't read it from Jay G. it ain't true" policy.
(pssst Barkley - you're my fave cuz you laugh at my stupid jokes. Don't tell anyone else.)
ReplyDeleteThis Coaching search in starting to look like the last Alabama search. Please for the Love of God leave all coaches alone that are under Jimmy Sexton. Unless you are going get Davis.
ReplyDeleteThat mental image of Tebow was just hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMan we are starting to look like the dude no one wants to dance with
ReplyDeleteI promise you that Turner Gill would listen to Auburn. The people running this search are clowns.
ReplyDeletewife looks up at the tv: ooh there's satan. i think he has a drinking problem
ReplyDeleteGoing back to what Jay said about us already having somebody lined up I sure hope so. Since FSU is saying nobody has contacted them makes me think Sexton pumped his name like Nutt. Do we actually have any confirmation that contact was really made?
ReplyDeleteMcLovin- Jimbo is Jimmy Rane's favorite coach and he was pushing the hardest for him. Not sure if he had anyone else on board, but it was a legit candidate. I'm sure Sexton took that inch and ran with it big time.
ReplyDeleteReports on AL.com say that Auburn has been granted permission to speak to Turner Gill!!!!
ReplyDeleteAUBigCat, I am not sure how to feel about that. I was hoping we could get the big name coach, but a young up and comer like him would be interesting.
ReplyDeletewhew...
ReplyDeleteI thought I was gonna have to leave my bammer wife and move to another state if Bama won the MNC.
