Campfire notice, 12/24

Hey everyone. It's Christmas Eve here in lower Alabama, which means it's a festive time. Hope you're having a swell time.

The HABOTN, in full accordance with the Sunshine Laws of Alabama, is hereby serving notice that we'll be holding a Campfire® today at 2 p.m. CDT.

Please stand ... and sing.

See you then.

  5. Jermaine Johnson signs with Miami. Here's the thing though. He has failed to qualify to enroll at Auburn twice now. He was getting ready to fail to qualify for the third time.

So, when you hear the doom and gloomers start talking about it, just remember what Ol' Phreddie told you. He couldn't get into AU, so he went to Miami instead.

  6. In other news ... Ontario McCaleb is expected to sign the contract, I mean scholarship, on Friday. for those who don't know, he was the #1 rated running back in 2007.

  7. Jay,

Do you think Gus is an actual candidate or will CC want to play it conservative after last years train wreck? I just feel it is going to be vanilla.

Boy I sure did enjoy watching how Boise ran their offense last night. I lot of moving parts and creativity. I know they lost but that is with a freshman running the show.

  8. we used to win a lot of games with vanilla

  9. The spread wasn't a problem last year.

    Philosophical discord was the problem.

  10. Borges had a lot of motion/ formation shifts early on but it seemed to go away

  11. The only problem with the grind and vanilla is that if your defense cracks and you get down it oh so hard to catch up in a game. I love the smash mouth take their manhood away approach but I still feel you have to be able to open it up.

  12. FYI: I learned yesterday that Nick Saban is Catholic.

We were discussing coaches' religions earlier this month and someone asked about Saban.

  15. I think that if Tubs wasn't so eager to sit on a lead then Borges probably would have opened it up

  16. He must spend a lot of time in confession after his tirades on the sideline. He must book in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  17. He probably confessed yelling I hate those effing guys during the iron bowl

  18. Do you have to confess to buying players?? Or maybe you don't if you only suggest it and have others carry it all for you.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas check you later...

  19. I won't be able to attend the campfire today - I'm about to embark on some holiday travel to Wadley, AL. Maybe I can find a missing Auburn receiver while I'm there.

For Jay G. and all of the Hotties - Merry Christmas and have a great holiday!

I would like to publicly apologize to the HABOTN members and to Jay G. Tate for my deplorable actions recently. I was totally out of line and I realize now this was not the proper forum for my actions.

I am sorry for the problems I have caused.

Have a safe and happy holiday season.

  33. My best Chirstmas wishes to all the people i have enjoyed conversing with on the HABOTN this year, and esp JGT for being the man.

My "Airing of Grievances" in honor of festivus goes to CTT for the double whammy of putting Auburn through contract talks at the end of last year and then hiring CTF. Talking about setting your team up to fail. But I hope Tommy has a good holiday as well.
