The Rebels' coach, said to be coveted by Auburn, agreed to a new contract today that yielded an $800,000 raise, a four-year extension and cash money for his assistants.
Not too shabby for 8-4.
So where does Auburn go now, you ask? It's not clear if Auburn ever was headed toward Nutt. Things are so low-key these days. Third parties talk with third parties so everyone knows who wants what before The Principles even get involved.
If "contact" fizzles, it looks the same as if contact never occurred.
that should read, "said, by people who are clueless, to be coveted by Auburn"
ReplyDeletegood on him, i say.
ReplyDeleteAnyone watch the Buffalo - Ball State game? Turner Gill would be a perfect fit for Auburn!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness. Ya'll, I'm originally from Arkansas. Nutt has some good qualities, but I'm telling you, Auburn can do a lot better than that!
ReplyDeletePlease go get Turner Gill. Hopefully tonight convinced somebody of TPTB.
ReplyDeleteSign me up to join the
ReplyDeleteturner Gill bandwagon!
Turner Gill just sent his application for the HC at Auburn University with a Statement Attached.....I just beat an undefeated Team how you like me know!!!!
ReplyDeleteglad to have y'al jump on my Turner Gill bandwagon. there's room for lots more
ReplyDeletewhere are all the others? are they "campfiring" somewhere?
ReplyDeleteI definitely think he now has some folks attention, if he didn't already.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I think I'm just about over being mad about the whole "resigning/firing" thing. It still doesn't make sense to me, but there's no use stewing about it. So I'm going back to my original picture.
I know, the baby's a lot better looking! :)
Save me a seat on the Turner Gill bandwagon. That was a very well coached team that just beat a good Ball St team. Yes, they gave up yards, but they forced turnovers, took advantage of forced and unforced errors, and played with solid fundamentals. Nothing short of incredible how far Buffalo has come in 3 years under Gill. Gill has won more this season than Buffalo had won in its entire D-1A existence before he arrived.
ReplyDeleteIf Jacobs doesn't at the very least bring him in for a serious interview (not one of those token slap in the face jobs either) then Jacobs is even dumber than I gave him credit for (which isn't much).
Wow I didn't even catch the game, but I'm reading the score. That sure is impressive, he sounds like he should definitely be on the list.
ReplyDeleteI was pushing for Turner Gill yesterday, apparently violating my own rule,
ReplyDeleteFrequently wrong, but never in doubt.
Wow, after that game tonight, I'll be so disheartened if we don't pursue him. If he doesn't want to come to AU, that's ok. But we sure as heck ought to go after him.
wait ... hold on ... y'all are wanting a D1A coach?
ReplyDeleteI like Gill, heard his name mentioned earlier in the week before all the Leach talk but let's not make him the next Bill Stewart after an emotional win...although Stewart is 1-0 against Auburn.
ReplyDeleteBuffalo played well, but they really benefited from Ball State turnovers. Gill might be a great coach, but does he have enough experience to make it work here at Auburn? That's a pretty big jump. My guess is it's Jimbo Fisher's job to turn down anyway. Oh wait, isn't his agent Sexton too?
ReplyDeleteI want a big dog. I would wait for a big dog.
ReplyDeleteAm I to believe that it is being pre-arranged for some assistants to stay?
I just hope they take the time to get it right
ReplyDeleteCovingtonTigerFan, let it go and look to the future. I wish the past coaches best, but we need to look ahead now. What is done is done. There is no way that can be fixed now.
ReplyDeleteWe can build for the future if we make a wise coaching choice. From what I have seen, we likely won't be able to get a coach on Tuberville's level, but we could very well in up with a better coach. It is just a matter of finding the right guy.
It is going to be very interesting to see how Jacobs does with this hire. This is a decision that will affect Auburn long term. I hope it is made within the next couple of weeks. The sooner, the better.
Gill would likely have a much better chance of being successful at Auburn than would Fisher. Although I am sure Bowden has been grooming Fisher, you can't beat true head coach experience.
ReplyDeleteGill would be a good hire not great. I think his image would be great for Auburn.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_j4TTLaA6A
ReplyDeleteWe hired a guy from the IA before ... I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the way that turned out.
ReplyDeletePhred what is the 1A?
ReplyDeleteMcLovin' I'm now part of the grassroots campaign.
ReplyDeletewake up Hotties. We're burning daylight here. No time to waste; let's go get us a coach.
ReplyDeleteIs Fisher stillthe front runner in this search or is he another red herring?
ReplyDeletered herring
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you hotties - does the intensity of the Auburn/Alabama rivalry and all of the media craziness attached to it provide a plus or a negative for coaches outside the SEC?
ReplyDeletenot so much the Iron Bowl intensity, but the unrealistic expectations of the fans of 6 SEC schools who expect their teams to be in the SEC championship game every year. Obviously, that's a mathematical impossibility, so no coach can meet those expectations.
ReplyDeleteThis is NOT Jimbo's job to lose. You guys griping over Nutt and some of you would actually endorse Jimb Fisher???
ReplyDeleteGross!!
1. Will Muschamp (the staff he's going to put together and what he will do fr recruiting- Dre Kirkpatrick right off the bat/Montez Robinson back)
2. Turner Gill (my heart tells me this guy is #1)
3. Bobby Petrino (flame away)
4. Paul Johnson (he will get it done on the field anywhere)
5. Grobe
I was wrong. Ignore all comments.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does Jimbo Fisher kinda look like Joe Piscopo?
ReplyDeleteJimbo looks like 7-5.
ReplyDeleteWell..were we really going after Nutt?! Seriously steal another coach from Ole Miss..did somebody down there make somebody in AU angry a long time ago. Sheesh..So I guesse getting any NFL coach is out of the question huh? Oh pardon my manners.. good morning Hotties..
ReplyDeletePeeps,
ReplyDeleteGet your butts out of bed and get your game faces on....
#22 happens today!
RTR
War Tiger:
ReplyDeleteYou talking a little BC this morning? A little JG maybe?
I'm down with that.
Start the day with The Gridiron Breakdown at 9:30 am CST.
ReplyDeleteSensi:
ReplyDeleteDid you make a prediction last night?
I know that Eddie and Jay picked Alabama.
Can't remember if you made a prediction.
I apologize in advace for my ignorance but BC? JG?
ReplyDeleteI would be happy with Turner Gill also. He apparently is known for his recruiting and now has head coaching experience.
ReplyDeleteMy only problem with him is that every time the Nebraska job comes open his name will now come up. I would guess it is his dream job. That could happen with anyone though I suppose.
Cowher. Gruden.
ReplyDeleteFSJ:
You think Cade Holliday is the X-factor today?
I pick UF by a touchdown and a half today. They don't fumble snaps. They very rarely throw INTs. And they have a very good QB.
Very fitting that Alabama and Florida play for the league crown today. The best two teams in a surprisingly watered down league this year. I don't think either of these teams will beat the Sooners though.
For once, the Sooners are actually that good talent and execution-wise.
Ahhh. yeah actually Cowher is first on my wish list..gonna need a good staff though..ain't gonna happen anyway..I mean we were going after Houston freakin Nutt...I like the thought of fisher or gill as well though..I haven't even heard of Buffalo til recently..don't know alot about him he seem to have a good rep..
ReplyDeleteMuschamp:
ReplyDeleteI'm right the opposite...
I think the de facto National Championship game is today.
Oklahoma doesn't play defense.
As for the game....I think Alabama punches Florida in the face and makes them like it.
Cody stuffs the middle and takes two blockers. Leaves McClain open to create havoc....
Going to be a great one to watch.
I hear ya, FSJ. Won't surprise me a bit for Bama to win. But UF doesn't spend too much time in the middle and they are the masters of misdirection.
ReplyDeleteOklahoma plays D. But Okie State is lights out on offense.
We shall see. I'm no Oklahoma junkie.
The short list:
ReplyDelete1. Jimbo Fisher
2. Turner Gill
3. Charlie Strong
Oh no. Not Fisher again.
ReplyDeleteWhat are people thinking?
what's wrong with fisher muschamp?
ReplyDeleteMuschamp,
ReplyDeleteI was thinking more of Cody & McClain creating havoc on that QB draw of Tebow's
AUnMobile said:
ReplyDelete"Turner Gill ...I just beat an undefeated Team how you like me know!!!!"
LOL I like that.
What time is the de facto national championship?
ReplyDelete$2.5 million AU would have to pay FSU is what's wrong with Fisher, just for starters
ReplyDeletegood morning Monica
ReplyDelete4 pm i think; Go Gators!!!
and good morning to you, too, TarHeel. Thank you. Go Gators! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe de facto is at 3pm central.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been out, so what happened to Brian Kelly being on the list?
oops, I forgot the time zone difference for some Hotties. Thankfully, Monica is in my zone.
ReplyDeleteJacobs said money was no issue(even if he was full of it)..what else you got?
ReplyDeleteMr. S.,
ReplyDeleteI'm listening now. Good stuff so far. If I get a few minutes then I'll try to call in.
Interesting past 12 hours. Turner Gill hardly got a mention that I saw (maybe I just missed it?) till he beat Ball State (no UA or LSU mind you) and now he's the front runner on so many people's wish lists?
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, one more thing:
ReplyDeletecan I get a "go gators" from the morning crowd
AUTiger3,
ReplyDeleteyes, you missed it, but that's ok. You probably have a life unlike some of us who are spending every waking moment wanting to know who the next AU coach will be. I've been pushing for Turner Gill since Wednesday.
Anybody see the cheap shot by gameday, they discussed Tubbs leaving, then brought in douche Tom Luginbill, recruiting guy, said we just lost 5 guys and 2 are headed to bama, the crown went wild, of course, then one of the guys he said actually hasnt decommitted, shot across the bow, boom
ReplyDeleteGO GATORS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Sacks in the City poster with blonde hair on Sarah Jessica Parker (JPW) is pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteIf Auburn decides to go for the "unknown" hire, then Kelly > Gill.
ReplyDeleteI like Gill, but he has limited experience vs. Kelly, who has a proven track record of winning at several levels.
One win over a undefeated team does not make a HC candidate.
morning hotties! it feels like a great day.....for a Bama loss!
ReplyDeletego gators!
Maybe I've missed it but I haven't heard a lot of the talking heads bring up Cody vs Tebow. He loves running up the middle on the quarterback draw and I just don't see that happening against Cody. If you take that factor away and put pressure on down-field passes Alabama starts to look very strong and a likely winner...in fact it could get ugly. If Ole Miss beat them at home Alabama can surely beat them on a neutral site.
ReplyDeleteWife and I have only asked for a bama ass whooping for christmas.
ReplyDeleteTurner Gill, nice guy, will help with recruits, but the MAC and the SEC, big difference.
Morning Hotties!! Let's all meet at IHOP for breakfast. Buttermilk pancakes anyone?
ReplyDeleteI can't be happy about either team winning. Any chance a minor earthquake can compromise the structural integrity of The Dome, and they have to cancel the game?
ReplyDeleteI'm starting my letter writing campaign for Turner Gill today.
ReplyDeleteGO GATORS!! The other orange and blue
ReplyDeletequake unlikely Peter, but maybe we could whip up another tornado. Didn't the dome get hit by one during the SEC tourney?
ReplyDeleteI've heard about Turner Gill since this thing started.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling a blog entry...
Florida will not be able to run the middle early. Once Codi has to run a couple of series east and west he will not be a factor. If Bama was smart they would play Codi and Chapman at the same time today.
ReplyDeleteI like Turner Gill, but he has been a HC for 3 years and only 1 winning season. Yes he took over a horrible Buffalo team. He's definately a guy to look at, but it's a big jump from Buffalo to Auburn.
ReplyDeleteI think we need a coaching rumors thread. It would be fun to go back and read when this is said and done.
ReplyDeleteOkay, well I guess I've just missed the Turner talk til last night. Just seems like a big jump from Buffalo (where the winning is great but the expectations couldn't have been to high) to the pressure cooker that is the SEC.
ReplyDeleteBut hey, if the can coach and recruit against Saban, Miles, etc., then bring him on.
Turner Gill will be at the Cuse next year
ReplyDeleteDid the Chris Peterson to Miss State thing happen, or was that something people were just making up yesterday?
ReplyDeleteWill the next post also have the name "Nutt" in it, Jay? You are getting a lot of mileage out of that name. I am onto your juvenile sense of humor, Jay.
ReplyDeleteRK,
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out to be BS. At least I heard that on ESPN last night.
GameDay talking about USC's defense, listed "Best ever" and didn't include 1957 Auburn. They're ignorant.
ReplyDeleteJames,
ReplyDeleteI figured it would me. I'd think going for Boise to Miss State is kind of a step down.
Yes it's in the SEC, but there are sooooo many disadvantages to coaching there. The Jackyl won a little there, but had to cheat to get it done.
So Petersen did not go to MSU. Well, I hope someone at AU keeps him on the list.
ReplyDeleteMcLovin, I gotta get that "button" on the site. Hilarious. People work quickly around here!
ReplyDeleteI thought you could chat during the Gridiron Breakdown?
ReplyDeleteSo, hubby (Bama) and I are talking last night about all the "fans" who have jumped on the Alabama bandwagon this year. And he said he use to go to Auburn a lot in his younger days (when we lost 9 years in a row) and he couldn't get over how Auburn fans supported their losing teams. He said, "Who wants to go support a team when they are losing?" Bingo! That's the difference in Auburn fans. We don't like losing, but we support our team regardless. I've been buying season tickets for years. He doesn't, so he stays home and watches his team on the TV (when they are winning).
ReplyDeleteI think Turner Gill would be a good fit, but I'm afraid he would be waiting around for that Nebraska job as well. But we really roll the dice with anyone they select. Also, don't think Nutt was ever a serious consideration. I think they know there would be a lot of protests with that hire! Did get him and Sexton richer though, so nicely played.
ReplyDeleteTrue Kathy. True.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'd fear with Turner Gill as well.
ReplyDeleteIf he does well here, if the Nebraska job ever came open, he'd be out the door fast.
Exactly RK, it is a step down. MSST is a HARD place to win consistently.
ReplyDeleteWar, I think you can post comments there, not sure about a real time chat though?
ESPN GameDay to talk about Tubs after commercial break
ReplyDeleteI've amended my top 3
ReplyDelete1. Paul Johnson
2. Bobby Petrino
3. Brian Kelly
Gill eventually to the 'huskers a definite concern. I'll let Jay Jacobs decide if it's worth the risk. If we hire Gill, it's our job to make him never want to leave the Plains.
ReplyDeletePete Carroll? Who said that? very good idea but I don't think he'd want to live in Auburn any more than I'd want to live on the left coast.
ReplyDeleteOK. Just turned on game day, and now I've got to go barf.
ReplyDeleteWho is the person who always brings the Washington State flag to to gameday?
ReplyDeleteIt is there every week.
some Wash St alum arranges for local alums to wave the flag every week. They had a little story on him during gameday the week of Wash-Wash St game
ReplyDeleteI love when they say Houston Nutt "turned Auburn down".
ReplyDeletepat forde doesn't know what he is talking about
ReplyDeletebarf up, wife and I will be eating seafood and drinking suds here on the coast cheering on the gators, and Troy's Larry Blakeny(former Tiger)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll vomit now. What is up with ESPN's love affair with saban? I bet the game day crew fights over who gets to ... well, I'll get banhammered if I finish that thought.
ReplyDeleteAll Pat Forde likes to do is bash, drink and eat at local pubs,
ReplyDeleteJay, are P. Johnson and Fisher the top two names you're hearing? Or is Forde just making it up as he goes?
ReplyDeletegood morning ... new to habotn ... heard about it on the radio ... are we to the point where our battle cry is "GO GATORS"? ... good grief folks ... shouldn't we be more concerned about our OWN house then worried about what those guys are doing? ... needless to say, we have enough to deal with in our own backyard, right? ... WDE
ReplyDeleteI recall 2004 at the SEC Championship Charles Barkley was there, he put on a good show on Gameday.
ReplyDeleteSaban's a great coach, and I love watching the guy. He's entertaining on the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'd much rather watch a loop of that Beyonce Direct TV commercial for hours.
Corso doesn't make sense. Complains that only 1 in 5 Coach in waiting is minority. Aren't African-American's approx 20% or less of population? Therefore the number is statistically ok. But I just wish people wouldn't mention skin color PERIOD! I don't care if all coaches are Black, all or white, or all are Thai. It's irrelevant. Though I'm not sure if there are enough Thai football coaches to fill the positions.
ReplyDeleteWalter, sorry this isnt the Peace corp or United Nations, I am an Auburn fan, I cheer against bama at celebrity vents, softball, equistrian. If Bama played Al-Qaida, I would cheer for Al-Qaida, plain and simple....go gators.
ReplyDeleteWalter, I'm relatively new here but this is great group of folks. plenty of discussion about our own issues here, but a bama loss (gator win) won't sure won't hurt any feelings with most of this group.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mind P. Johnson either. Hope this doesn't go on too much longer, but it is bringing a little excitement to the fan base. Gives us something to talk about while we are at home watching everyone else go bowling! Appreciate the assistant coaches talking to recruits and the players. Players seem to be taking it like men. It is a business.
ReplyDeleteSounding good on the show, Mr. S. I'm waiting for the hotties shout out. wooo hooo
ReplyDeletePTWD,
ReplyDeleteTime to take a step back and rethink that one. Al Qaida? Don't go there man.
If I watch any more of Game Day, the bottle of Eagle Rare is getting opened early today.
ReplyDeleteMust be a Montgomery thing, here in Mobile, all we get is the local high school sports review.
ReplyDeleteTar Heel,
ReplyDeleteI think his bigger complaint is that out of 119 teams, there are only 5 or 6 African American HC's.
However, it's Corso so he has no crediblity on anything he says.
Monica, I've reached my limit of GameDay garbage. What r u listening to and where/how?
ReplyDeleteRandom question.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if Hooters still has the $1 domestic deal going on?
They had it last month.
Autiger3, sorry, move on man. Proving a point, I dont see when Auburn fans say we shouldnt cheer against bama, its not normal.
ReplyDeletethat's a real impressive comeback patdyes, real impressive ... sure you're family's proud ... I love Auburn, and this hire is light years more important than anything happening today in Atlanta ... just my opinion
ReplyDeleteI hate the Gaytors slightly less than I hate the Bammers, but my hatred for both is still having me hoping an act of G-d gets this game called off.
ReplyDeleteTarHeel,
ReplyDeleteWe are listening to Mr.S on blog talk radio. Here's a link:
Gridiron Breakdown
There's about 30 minutes left I think.
Already moved on PTWD. Said what I had to say and left it behind. War Eagle man. And GO GATORS!!!
ReplyDeleteGAYtors. Was that a typo? Very funny either way Peter.
ReplyDeleteWalter,
ReplyDeleteI pulled for the Russians when they played bama in basketball in the 70s. I'm not from Alabama and have no reason to ever pull for UA-T. They better not play Al Qaida.. my wife would kick me out of the house for pulling for UA-T.
Thanks James - I was slow in responding to TarHeel.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the radio link. Much better than game day! And if the shoe was on the other foot, I believe all those Bama fans would be rooting for Florida today, too! GO GATORS!!!
ReplyDeletewho said anything about pulling for Alabama? ... my point is, who gives a crap about what happens in atlanta? ... our story and what's going on is much more important!! ... that's my point ... I'm certainly not pulling for Alabama ... never have, never will ...
ReplyDeleteWell if you like football, I guess you give a crap about what's happening in Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteWe're not making a hire this weekend, I'm sure the SEC wouldn't allow us to announce it until after the SEC title game is over with anyway.
ReplyDeleteWalter,
ReplyDeleteWe get it. But there's still a great game going on in ATL today. We are likely not hiring a coach today. We all love football. And a great game is better if you have a team to pull for. So....GO GATORS.
Relax man, have a little fun.
there's your woo hoo
ReplyDeleteThere's the Jay G and hottie shot out from Mr. S!
ReplyDeleteLet me just ditto what RK and 3 just said.
ReplyDeletewow my feed is way behind y'all
ReplyDeleteI just got the impression that there is more interest in "GO GATORS'' than there is in "WHO IS GONNA TURN OUR PROGRAM AROUND?" ... that's all I'm saying ...
ReplyDeleteAUsome!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewooo hooooo! shout out!
ReplyDeleteWe love us some Mr. S
Walter - How long have you been reading this blog?
ReplyDeleteOnly until about 3:30pm when the Gators have the game so far out of reach it doesn't matter. Then will get right back to Gill, Fisher, etc. We'll be very serious then.
ReplyDeletelisten to MR.S go...
ReplyDeleteam I the only one who believes AU didn't know they were going to need a new coach until this week?
ReplyDeleteWow... two radio shout outs in two days.
ReplyDeleteI'm humbled.
he forgot about wartiger...I'm hurt..
ReplyDeleteVery serious. You'll love it. Really. These folks can talk some coaches. I thought we had Gill hired last night, but I guess someone forgot to tell JJ.
ReplyDeletesince a few days before the alabama game ...
ReplyDeleteLove for the Hotties! Thanks for listening!
ReplyDeleteTar Heel,
ReplyDeleteyou really believe tubs caught them off guard? you really think he resigned (truly resigned, not pushed, etc)?
what happen to the live caht sensi?
ReplyDeletethanks AUTIGER3 ... I'll look forward to it ... I feel kinda like I'm crashing a frat party here ...
ReplyDeleteWalter,
ReplyDeleteThere's probably over 1000 posts from the past two days, the majority of which deal with the AU coaching search. That in and of itself show the interest here on the HABOTN about things AU.
You should spend the day reading those if you aren't interested in today's football games.
As much as I DESPISE bammer, I will be socializing with friends and watching the SECCG game today.
Walter - Then you should know better than to think or say something like we care more about the Gator's game than our own coach. Now relax. The mania will pick right back up later today. I promise. :-)
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle!
I don't think you are. There's been so much coach talk the past few days I think this game is a welcomed diversion for a while. Hang around a while. This truly is the HOTTEST auburn blog on the net.
ReplyDeleteI truly believe he resigned and they didn't know it was a certainty. That doesn't mean that I don't believe they weren't going to make it difficult on him to stay. That last sentence is poorly written.
ReplyDelete3 - You're exactly right. This game is a nice diversion.
ReplyDeletenice only if the Gators win
ReplyDeleteIt really is..I got a shirt that says so..
ReplyDeleteok guys ... sorry to offend the group ... I had heard about the blog and just wanted to check it out ... y'all continue to have fun ... I'm sure you will
ReplyDeletethe Hottes Auburn Blog on the net that is.
ReplyDeletethank y'all so much for clueing me in to Gridiron. The Hotties have made my life complete ;-)
ReplyDeleteGood show Mr. S.
ReplyDeleteI regret not having made the time to listen more before today. I think I'll be changing my schedule around a bit to listen for the rest of the season.
I think they gave Tommy ultimatums (i.e, coaches fired, # of wins next year, etc) that he just decided he didn't want to deal with. He might have known it was a "no-win" situation and decided 5.1M and no stress was a much better deal. Who knows? I don't think we will ever know the real story. I don't think next year's buy out would have been as high, and he is more marketable this year than he would be if he had another losing season.
ReplyDeleteKathy - So glad to see you posting and helping us make the hotties a little more chickalicious!
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle!
Here's what bothers me Tar Heel: Tubs has been very loyal to his other coaches. I find it hard to believe he would make that move without giving them some time to prepare themselves and their families. If that was really Amy Ensminger on the radio the other day (and folks seem to think it was) then the other coaches obviously didn't know this was coming. There is, in my mind, other evidence to support that as well. Just doesn't add up to me. And why the buyout? I don't care who you are, you don't just give away 5 million. And we still have heard nothing from tubs (our new 5 million dollar ambassador for AU).
ReplyDeleteSorry, that was a lot.
Walter - No offense. Just crazy circumstances. I hope you keep reading and posting.
ReplyDeleteWar EAgle!
Thanks Monica. Was posting under IM4AU but thought my name would be easier!
ReplyDeleteso it's turner gill the the popular choice I take it? After last night especially..hmmm
ReplyDeletejust saw an Auburn fan with a sign that said "all we want for christmas is a new coach."
ReplyDeleteTG is my choice after knowing more about him as a person actually. last nights game didnt hurt though.
ReplyDelete3,
ReplyDeleteI also don't understand how/why Tubs wouldn't have notified all of his assistants first. We may never know unless Tubs decides to tell us. I'm sure it's hard to keep a secret these days with reporters in every crevice of the athletic complex looking for the scoop and the instantaneous spread of news via the net.
Jack Del Rio's still on the top of my list. Unfortunately, I don't think Carr's tried to get in touch with his people...I'll go with Gill, I guess.
ReplyDeleteKathy - You're right. Much easier and great to put a nickname with a real name with a face!
ReplyDeleteGuess it really doesn't matter at this point. I'd just really love to hear from Tubs, get his side of the story. Kinda like he just completely evaporated into thin air.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, all we can do now is hope for a really great hire.
War Eagle folks. I off to play in the dirt with the kids. Life is great. Catch y'all later.
Jay has a new thread up.
ReplyDelete
