When I was a lad, I watched "The Price Is Right" with my mom every morning.
I dreamed of someday hitting the Showcase Showdown.
This guy, whom we know only as Terry, lived my dream yesterday.
NOTE: You only need to watch the first 50 seconds.
SECOND NOTE: Is this what Gene Chizik looked like on Saturday afternoon?
SWEET! If only the hostesses came with the prizes!
ReplyDeleteHow does that happen?
ReplyDeleteMy wife swears that's an inside job ...
Dye on Finebaum right now. Let's see if he embarassess Auburn or if Paul can succeed in embarassing Dye.
ReplyDeleteDye was at Crane Works Christmas Party before this...too much eggnogg.
ReplyDeletethat is a heckuva coincidence.
ReplyDeletePaul hasn't said a word. Waiting for Dye to hang himself...
ReplyDeleteOf all the many times I have watched that show, I have never seen that.
ReplyDeletei went to the price is right show in vegas. they stage it like the real show. i payed 100 bucks for me and my wife to watch other people win stuff. suck. i could have blown that on a craps table
ReplyDeleteDye--"I haven't talked to Tommy".
ReplyDeleteThere's a newsflash.
What really sucks is the lady came pretty damn close with her bid
ReplyDeleteDon't you win both showcases if you're under 500 from your price?
ReplyDeleteShouldn't they both have won both showcases?
Is Dye going to be on after the break?
ReplyDelete"Is this what Gene Chizik looked like Saturday?"
ReplyDeleteawwhahaha funny stuff right there..
He is on after the break
ReplyDeleteYes, Finebaum said to Dye, "You're on a roll".
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does Dye's speculation so far sound like he's read all the blogs and message boards.
ReplyDeleteAt least Pat doesn't cough every other word any more
ReplyDeleteYa'll not going to believe this...but I was actually on the Price is Right! It aired in Feb 1980. I went on while we were living in Calif and I won a car, $1000 on the big wheel, and was in the showcase but didn't win!! Got the old VCR tape for evidence! I kissed Bob Barker (he had brown hair at the time)and the best commercial on my tape is the old "Mean Joe Green" coke commercial!!
ReplyDeleteGlad that the Nutt job wasn't even considered.
ReplyDeleteI think I have only seen that once in my life, now this is twice.
ReplyDeleteGotta be an inside job. It's crazy how Drew Carey isn't even fazed by it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite TPIR youtube is the one where they put a Maury Povich "Not the Father" sequence to Price is Right music. It's not really the Price is Right, I know, but it's damn funny.
Dye, "WE ain't talked to anyone" Referring to Muschamp and Fisher.
ReplyDelete"WE"
War Eagle Girl,
ReplyDeleteYou ought to youtube that so we can all see it.
War Eagle Girl,
ReplyDeleteYou ought to youtube that so we can all see it.
wareaglegirl. how much taxes did you have to pay? did you keep the car? tell me more
ReplyDeleteWEG,
ReplyDeleteThat must've been back when there were only four digits in the car pricing games.
We paid $500 in taxes to pick up the car which was a Triumph Tr-7 if you remember them! It was a convertible which was fun in Calif. We kept it about 3 years and then sold it to someone in our squadron. I'll try to get the kids to help me figure out how to see it....maybe easier on Facebook and not out in public? It's a Hoot!!
ReplyDeletei have no idea what that is, but convertibles are fun
ReplyDeleteTR7s were pretty cool back during their day.
ReplyDelete"The shape of things to come."
A friend had a TR7 back in the day - he wished he had two of them...... One to supply parts for the other one. It was always broke.... It was a cool looking ride for its time though.
ReplyDeleteyea...that was one reason we sold it was because Triumph was going out of business. Of course, in our midlife crisis these days it would be fun to have back!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to need Drew Carey to be a little bit more excited. He acts like it's no big deal.
ReplyDeleteInside job? What's an inside job for? Ratings, right?
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the flames aimed at the producers for their conduct of this show? And the thousands of former Price fans since this day, from Drew's conduct?
I've got one question to ask: What ratings?
