Knox lands on his feet

Hey everyone. Apparently that interview went well for Greg Knox, who confirmed this afternoon that he has been hired by Mississippi State.

We like and respect The Blog out of Jackson, Miss., which is a fellow Gannett property. Kyle Veazey -- firm but fair.

Love the Knox quote: "I'm really excited about it," Knox said. "I always thought Mississippi State was a gold mine. Great place. Kids are going to want to come there."

  6. J-Z ...

Please notice my hat being tipped in your direction.

I think you may have earned a spot on the front page.

  7. I wonder if coaches will continue to rip Knox for missing Jerrel Jernigan. Coaches never forget, I say.

  8. Alright next stop on the recruiting trail is Biloxi. Who is down there?

  9. Coaches not staying long in Gadsden :-(

Looks like they may be heading to see Demond Washington next.

  10. DWash would be a great one to get.

  11. FSJ alerted local REC militia, which sprayed gunfire in area of AU coaches, forcing them back onto plane.

  12. Demond Washington is at Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C.

  14. Well 2 hrs in Gadsden is not bad if they were just visiting Kelly since Dre is a lock to UA. The article from Monday in ref: Moseley said they were going to get Kelly to come on the 30th.

  15. In the quote in the post, I think Knox meant to say, "coal mine," not "gold mine."

  18. Lure FSJ in a false sense of security ... check.

Operation Get A "Lot" Out of Gomorrah is right on schedule.

  19. I think I'll start a new thread for plane tracking. Why not?

  20. It is sad we track planes in relation to recruiting. I really need to get back to working. I am an aviation guy and I love Auburn Football so I guess it is ok.

  21. Looks like Jay is trying to get to 1,000 by tomorrow ... is he a post padder? Or a blog bladder?

    Hmmmm.

  22. DoWhat? the Biloxi trip was just for R&R

  23. Coaches may or may not rag him for missing on Jernigan anymore. But, I will always hold it against him.
If he's coach RBs then we shouldn't have to worry about backs catching anything out of the backfield from MSU.

  24. Jet -- I do something different with the jet stuff and now I'm a blog padder? Come on.

  25. I can't help it ... I see the Cotton McKnight avatar ... and, well, it's open season.

Hang in there. We're behind you 100 percent ... and a 100 yards away.

  26. Would be great to sign the Myles Wade kid. Here is a link to a site that shows one of his work outs.

Say prayers for Dan Mullen and Mark Hudspeth. The MSU offense just took a big step backwards.

  28. I have heard Mississippi State called many things. A gold mine is not one of them.
