Post No. 1,018
Hey everyone. I wanted to provide a few updates before I head east for the colossal AUBURN V. VANDERBILT throw-down. Loser leaves town.
- Our friends at AuburnSports.com are reporting that WR Rueben Randle of Bastrop, La., has backed out of his official visit this weekend. Randle was an extreme long shot for the Tigers, so this development isn't exactly messy for Gene Chizik. People in Louisiana are absolutely ga-ga over the kid. It's shameful.
- TB David Oku of suburban Oklahoma City is on campus. Simply getting him on campus was a coup for the Tigers. Oku, a Tennessee commitment, recently told the Knoxville News-Sentinel that he wouldn't be making any additional trips. This is why I don't like interviewing recruits.
I'll get the basketball thread going around 12:45 p.m. CST.
No freakin way.

ReplyDeleteI hate having to wait not to be first.. =0)
ReplyDeleteWell Good luck to Mr. Randle....
ReplyDeleteWe will see him on the field....
Yeah I was waitin myself, but then decided what the heck, ill just jump on in.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Reuben, hell need it with those crazies. Hell either flourish as a king there, or perish dramatically. Lots of pressure for the young man.
Hope he realizes they eat their own there.
I was considering a quick trip to the grocery store...wonder if I should ask Coach Bradshaw first?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is his choice or his dads choice for him not to visit...
ReplyDeleteAs wishy washy as the kid is it made no difference whether he visited. I think we may be having trouble recruiting receivers because they don't think we have anyone who can deliver the ball to them. Getting Rollison to commit this week may have been an attempt to overcome that for the final weekend. GL to us getting Rollison on the field, although I'm reading that some expect him to qualify.
ReplyDeleteWhat a jerk. He should have never scheduled a vist if he never had any interst. As Dear Leader said, our DEFENSE will see him on the field.
ReplyDeleteWes ... we are heading the grocery store whether we have Coach Bradshaw's permission or not.
ReplyDeleteAfternoon Hotties (it's afternoon in the Atl area that is). I took my son to our favorite breakfast place this morning to give mom some time without a child underfoot. However, I foolishly DID NOT seek Coach Bradshaw's opinion or permission beforehand.
ReplyDeleteHow much trouble am I going to be in for this colossal oversight? Will my mistake affect the gatigercub?
Did Darth Visor really say this or is it internet rumor?
ReplyDelete"I honestly don't think king Nick will ever leave Bama. They are the perfect match. A guy with no conscience and no ethics, worshiped by a fan base too stupid to value either."
i have decided not to take anymore visits and i will be signing my LOI with the HABOTN on wednesday.
ReplyDeleteis AU on TV today?
I don't think Tigers-Bores will be televised.
ReplyDeleteMorning HOTTIES,
ReplyDeleteI'm headed to get some lunch for me and my 3 girls before the Game starts and was wondering should I ask Coach Bradshaw's permission first....shezzh....
On another note David Oku is on campus listening the Coach Chizzle's sales pitch!!!!
Game is not even being shown on Auburn Access, audio only, darn that sucks!
ReplyDeleteI say we put "Broadcast Network Exec on a Stick"!!!
Hotties,
ReplyDeleteWhats the story on Joel Kight...did he commit to Ole Miss then minutes later de-commit?
Just catching up on all the latest news. That Bastrop coach is a jerk; although, I'm sure he knows what side his bread is buttered on.
ReplyDeleteThink the quote by Spurrier is an internet rumor.
Glad to hear Oku made it. I also heard Phillips is going to sign with AU. Phillips and Farms are much needed additions. Hope we can get both.
I don't know if Spurrier said it, but whoever did is a genius.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Randle didn't come to AU this weekend. The kid clearly wasn't gonna sign with us Wednesday. I don't think anything good can come from a kid who doesn't want to be here, imo. We will start getting the big'uns though, CGC is not messing around.

ReplyDeleteGood luck to Rueben.
When its all said and done, they're kids and its probably the adults at blame here.
You are right Chris
ReplyDeleteoku will commit ...per my buddy at AU who has a g/f that is a players host.
ReplyDeleteWallace Clark
ReplyDeleteNooj4AU, hope your source is correct.
