  3. Bama is playing like there up against Louisiana Monroe or something.

    ReplyDelete
  4. We haven't seen the end of Glen Coffee just yet ...

    ReplyDelete
  5. That poor Bama fan looked pitiful.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If you like dramas, you need to see "Doubt."

    Out-friggin-standing movie.

    ReplyDelete
  7. This is as tasty as a cafe au lait and a order of beignets.

    ReplyDelete
  8. yep. she spent her Christmas money to see the Tahd

    ReplyDelete
  9. Big possession for Utes.

    ReplyDelete
  10. LOL Sponge.

So many of my friends are at this game as a Christmas gift.

A Bama fan looking pitiful is not poor....it's great.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Lots of my family down there. I'm sure they are in a state of shock right now.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Okay, got to have some priorities here. Which you would rather see?

    A) Bama give up 42 points in the first half?

    B) JPW sacked another 4 times in the first half?

    C) Nick Saban's lovely face.

    D) All of the above.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Anonymous8:10 PM

The Utes are not that big but it takes at least two Bammers to bring them down.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I need to get me another Taedonggang... anyone want one...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hope Malzahn turns us into Tiger Utes.

    ReplyDelete
  17. They are just wicked fast and it's fun to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Steve ...

    D, baby, D.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Uh oh. 1st sack.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That sounds illegal, Leader.

    ReplyDelete
  21. the utes want it more... they have something to prove... Heck I thought the announcer was going to propose to $aban during the pregame .. they were blowing so much sunshine up bamas arse...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Is it too much to ask for Utah to score on every possession?

    ReplyDelete
  23. One of the few things I allow in my beloved country...

    ReplyDelete
  24. That announcer in 2nd chair is a bama luvah fo sho.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous8:12 PM

    Fraid so, Kathy

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kathy,

if only dreams did come true...

    ReplyDelete
  27. lol Kathy - I don't think that's too much to ask

    ReplyDelete
  28. bama's adjusted w/ nickle backs to counter utes speed.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Let's sack JPW a few more times.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's time for the Utes to counter by spreading nail strips on the field.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hey, was it me or did the Ute punter not look like the jock kid from Saved By The Bell?

And I never heard the answer - What's a UTE?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hate to say it. Bama scores TD here, they are back in the game. Utes need to go no huddle fast again.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Monica ... that's a brilliant idea.

    ReplyDelete
  34. how bad would it be for bama if they lose considering Ole piss, Kent-tuk-e and Vandy won...

    ReplyDelete
  35. based on the helmet, looks like a UTE in a kind of injun.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Why did Leigh Tiffin's parents use the feminine spelling for their son's name?

    ReplyDelete
  37. ute = a member of the Shoshonean people of Utah and Colorado and New Mexico

    ReplyDelete
  38. I wonder why they stopped the speed game...????

    ReplyDelete
  39. 'cause his dad's a kicker ... and he knew his son would be too.

    ReplyDelete
  40. See, Jet - Monica should be the new DC.

    ReplyDelete
  41. My wife's name is Leigh Ann and she said the SAME EXCAT THING --- GAY.

    Liberache' Gay.

    ReplyDelete
  42. kathy,

if you could answer that question you have not had enough to drink...

go get your self a Taedonggang (big clue hotties)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Looks like the initial pregame energy is gone from the utes. down to big man on big man now.

    ReplyDelete
  44. They couldn't figure out how to spell Lee?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Crap. Number 12 lost Julio.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This won't be nearly as fun if bama starts winning.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The problem I see with Utah is they keep scoring so quickly, their defense doesn't get a lot of rest. It could cost them later on.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Good defense there!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Anonymous8:20 PM

Leigh is probably his mama's maiden name. That is pretty standard for the Shoals

    ReplyDelete
  50. man up utes. utes will need to score each possession. Make it a track meet.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Weehoo!!! I am enjoying the Sugah Bowl!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Somebody call the Bammers a waaambulance.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ingram getting fired up.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ingram had a little roid rush there.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Jet is my mother's maiden name. Of course, it's a good name.

    ReplyDelete
  56. At least it is fun while it's lasting....did ya'll see that girl and what did she say?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Nice defensive scheme there, kids.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anonymous8:22 PM

Now I believe we have #4

    ReplyDelete
  59. Brody!!! Brody!!! Brody!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. hate to see it. holes opening up for tahd. nother sack however.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Mon, add 1 to your count!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous8:23 PM

Too bad one of them didn't call it.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Quit fighting and get the ball!

    ReplyDelete
  64. big stop there. nother field goal

    ReplyDelete
  65. big stop there. nother field goal

    ReplyDelete
  66. That's huge ... a lot of effort to get ...

    NOTHING.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anonymous8:24 PM

    Missed it.

    I feel a bit better.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Utes have been sackalicious.

    JPW a little shaken.

Leigh not so much. Utes forgiven for not getting the INT>

    ReplyDelete
  69. I love watching Bama get beat. It smells just like victory.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Didn't see earlier. Johnson out? Knee? Look bad?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Anonymous8:25 PM

Got hit from behind while his leg was extended.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Honk if you sacked Sarah Jessica :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. I know we should want the SEC to look good but I just can't help it!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hope its not bad. My dislike for the tide doesn't extend to hoping players get hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Wow 15 years at Utah??? He looks so young. He was not saying "miss it". He was saying "hook it" you goober announcer.

    ReplyDelete
  76. hahahaha! Phase 1 of "Rival Humiliation" is well into progress.

Though I am in the minority, I hope Oklahoma takes care of Phase 2 in a similar manner.

    ReplyDelete
  77. c'mon utes you can do it
    SCORE!
    SCORE!

    ReplyDelete
  78. War Eagle Girl ... with all respect and affection, I reject your SEC-centric thinking.

    I don't pull for Bama.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Anonymous8:27 PM

He was able to limp off the field, I think.

I hope it's not bad either. Injuries are not the way anyone should have to end the season.

    ReplyDelete
  80. DirecTV HD RAWKS

    ReplyDelete
  81. I still think I want FL to win

    ReplyDelete
  82. Oh I never pull for Bama for any reason :)

    ReplyDelete
  83. Everyone in this house is pulling for the Utes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Anonymous8:31 PM

    Go Gators!!!

I can't wait for Tebow to go pro and I can go back to hating Florida again. I already despise Urban Meyer.

And no matter who Oklahoma is playing, I am for the other team.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Anonymous8:32 PM

    Shazbot.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hey, everybody...

My first post, but Ive been reading for months. Cable is out here, but Im keeping up with the game thru you guys. This the best game Ive (not) seen this year!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Don't like UF, but can't pull for OK.

    outkicked his coverage.

    ReplyDelete
  90. That was before the Arenas TD lol

    ReplyDelete
  91. Utah needs to answer.

    ReplyDelete
  92. okay that wasn't fun :(

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hey Steven! Welcome to the posting side of the HABOTN and WDE!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Anonymous8:33 PM

Has Arenas had the ball before this?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Utah needs to go back to their hurry up no huddle offense. Don't wake up the monster.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I don't wish injuries on anyone. Now, if JPW gets hit so hard you see slobber flying from his mouth, that isn't an injury. That is just pure entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Well, now we will see about the UTES. bow up.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Everyone who doesn't have a completed profile and have the profile set to "available" will be sent a turrrble virus.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Hey Jet - - - No shyte -- my sister's middle name is Qjett.

My mom's middle is Qjett and so is my G'mother's.

    I have a daughter and her's isn't BTW.

    Innereinn

    ReplyDelete
  100. Only 2 blocks in the back to spring him.

    ReplyDelete
  101. War Eagle Steven but you'll have to change your S to a Z!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Steven, if you have been reading here a while you would realize that the correct spelling is Zteven.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Way to fight. Close to 1st down.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Inv ... I was semijoking ... my real name is my mother's maiden name ... but's not Jet.

    Sorry for the chain yank.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Steven,

go find a sat dish... no one should miss this arse wupp'in....

in 40 years people will be saying where were you when Alabama .......

    ReplyDelete
  106. Anonymous8:36 PM

Looked like he was hit out of bounds to me.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Breath now. Heavy sigh. Thought he lost that fumble.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I don't consider getting knocked out an injury. Slobber knockers ok. sprained ankles ok. broken ribs ok. just don't like to see joint injuries.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Working on the Chain Gang.

    ReplyDelete
  110. You all are cracking me up ... such steadfast Utah fans!

    ReplyDelete
  111. That ute runner is an idiot. Those dreadlocks are dangerous. There is no rule against tackling with the hair. I saw someone get tackled by the dreads on youtube a while back.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm getting off. The more I pull against the tide, the better they play. I'm going for the reverse jinx.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Anonymous8:38 PM

And here I thought I wouldn't have a bowl team to root for.

    ReplyDelete
  114. That was going no where. The d-line is pushing back the o-line now.

    ReplyDelete
  115. That looks like a bad spot.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Go for it Utes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I wish I had a piece of key lime pie.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Why is that offsides on the O?

    ReplyDelete
  119. no no no no no no no --- I knew your name wasn't -- well, unless you're mom's a hard rockin chick who was on the cutting edge in a band called the Runaways along with another chick who was sucessful later on, but I digress.

I have no idea why my g'mother's name is Qjett but unless my sis has a daughter, neither of my two girls have that name.

    ReplyDelete
  120. So what's the rule there?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Anonymous8:41 PM

    'Cause Bama is on Defense.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Got to agree on that penalty, but it was a nice try.

    ReplyDelete
  123. It simulates the movement of a snap.

    ReplyDelete
  124. This Chris/Jets conversation is bizarre.

That was a BS call against the Utes.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Must be SEC refs......

    ReplyDelete
  126. The offense can't do something to intentionally try to make the defense jump offsides. It is similar to getting called for the QB bobbing his head.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Good grief give the announcer some alone time with some hounds tooth already.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Anonymous8:44 PM

It's time to sack JP again

    ReplyDelete
  129. Rule is you can't make a mimics a snap.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Anonymous8:45 PM

    Zteven, you learn quickly

    ReplyDelete
  131. My dog is snoring and I'm sleepy. Don't know if I'm going to make it.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Looks great Zteven:)

    ReplyDelete
  133. Tv is not in the same room so I'm having a hard time writing and watching :(

    ReplyDelete
  134. Let's go defense. We need a turnover.

    ReplyDelete
  135. nice throw, JPW ... supposed to catch that defense.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Anonymous8:47 PM

What? It was an interception, not a stinking a holding call.

    ReplyDelete
  137. What is even worse than that call was the sorry spot the ref gave the Utah RB. I went back on the DVR and his whole body was across the line to gain. It doesn't matter where the officiating crew is from those crimson jacka***s get all the calls and spots.

    ReplyDelete
  138. And the cable is BACK!! just in time for that big tease...

    ReplyDelete
  139. Julio wearing houndstooth gloves

    ReplyDelete
  140. Hate to say it, but Coffee is very impressive. He runs with attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I'm DVR'n the game but sounds like I will enjoy myself scouting the Tahd for 2009.

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UTES

    ReplyDelete
  142. Anonymous8:48 PM

    Kathy, surely you are kidding.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Still first half has been great!!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Anonymous8:49 PM

Not a sack but a nice turf intro.

    ReplyDelete
  145. That don't count for a Brody, but it is just as satisfying.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Poor Saban. I bet he has panic attacks.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Way to go, Utes!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Anonymous8:50 PM

    Poor Saban.... does not compute.

    ReplyDelete
  149. This has been fun. I was really anticipating a blowout, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Guys, Bowl game underdogs are ON FIRE!

Just put a dime on every Dog this bowl season and you'd rake a skillet.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Yea, I thought Bama would Hawaii the Utes, but it hasn't turned out that way. It has been very entertaining so far.

    ReplyDelete
  152. ZteveFC love the Brody = sack comment

    ReplyDelete
  153. Dude, I was at the 05 Iron Bowl and that was the best example of Tuberville-ball.

Took his foot off the gas when it sould have been 50 perts.

    ReplyDelete
  154. It's been fun but I think I'll watch the second half just in case it gets interesting :)!!!!!
    War Eagle!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Anonymous8:55 PM

Talk about panic attacks. I couldn't help myself and jumped over to a Bama forum. Oh, my is all I have to say. There's not enough bourbon, beer, or Valium to ease this.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Steve is killin tonight. His road trip stimulated his funny bone.

    ReplyDelete
  157. That first quarter was Thing Of Beauty. Almost as much fun as the 2004 Arkansas game.

    ReplyDelete
  158. why are we blog commenting the Shugah bole instead of campfiring it?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Luper to coach LB. That is strange.

    ReplyDelete
  160. The 2005 game should have been the best Auburn victory ever ... I enjoyed it ... loved it ... but it wasn't the complete devastation it should have been.

    ReplyDelete
  161. AUMom, I noticed the gloves on the play at the end where Utah had the interception. Julio tackled the guy and knocked the ball out. When Julio waved his arms to signal an incompletion, I noticed the underside of his gloves are houndstooth. I just reversed my DVR to check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Luper ... I like the hire. But - somebody explain to me why we hire a running backs coach to coach linebackers? Sometimes I'm a little slow. Somebody help me out.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Monica ...

I bet Saban's panic attacks have panic attacks.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Cause blog commenting is so slow even I can keep up.

I still can't get over Ole Miss beating Texas Tech. Ole Miss was dead last in the SEC last season and spanks one of the Big 12 elite a year later. Now, that is something special.

    ReplyDelete
  165. i thought the refs made the wrong call when the utes shifted. should have been an illegal shift as too many dudes were in motion simultaneously. just my opinion...

    ReplyDelete
  166. I don't like following a game and campfiring simataniously. That's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I am with you phred. I have said I didn't think willis was great coach of our Line backers but what will he coach now.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Anonymous9:01 PM

    Thanks, Kathy.

I just couldn't believe that someone would actually make them.

In my defense, I haven't lived in the state for 7 years.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Anyone got an idea why the Bama band has stripper feathers on their hats?

    ReplyDelete
  170. love me some ole miss right now

    ReplyDelete
  171. Scott ... the call was right ...
it was a false start because it mimicked an actual play ... not illegal shift because the ball was never snapped.

you can move all 11 as long as it doesn't mimic a play ... and they get second for a second before the snap.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Hey Gang just completed my 6th day here at the land of the mouse. I get to go home tomorrow. I guess dreams do come true. Go Utes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  173. I bet you're right, Jet.

YAY! Half time just in time for me to watch a little Most Haunted.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Anonymous9:02 PM

Totally off topic for a minute, but I actually heard somebody (finally) saying that Spurrier should go.

    SC never complains.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Anonymous9:03 PM

Well, this will make for an interesting opening segment one way or another.

    ReplyDelete
  176. What is the source for Luper as LB coach instead of RBs?

    ReplyDelete
  177. Most Haunted? Is that the show where the people walk around in a dark house with a green flashlight? That is my dream job.

    ReplyDelete
  178. tigerfan44, where did you read that about Luper coaching LBs?

    ReplyDelete
  179. Steve - the people from UK - Saturday Night Live does a great parody of Most Haunted. I LOVE this show.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Wasn't Luper one of those kids on the bad news bears?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Hmm, the Ute band must go see the same stripper.

    ReplyDelete
  182. i'll take your word for it, jet. but, if that is the case, i don't see how "suddenness" = mimicking a play. i do think it was a cheap ploy, but noone moved forward, so it shouldn't have been a false start (unless someone did move forward--which i didn't see). used to be limits on how many people could move at once ('course, i'm old).

    ReplyDelete
  183. He did coach Db's at A&M. (luper)

    ReplyDelete
  184. Question.... regarding Luper...

Rivals has him listed as the new LB coach?!? WTF? Why did we hire a RB coach to coach LB? And what would Willis coach then?

Tell me Bryan Matthews is drunk and doesn't know what he's typing?

    ReplyDelete
