To help avoid a cumbersome comment count

Here is a new thread to create more space in which to comment. The other thread was getting crowded.
Since I have to have some content to begin a new thread -- and DennyCrum had none to offer -- here is the UPDATED Auburn Football Coach Tote Board:

So if Powers is leaving, he believes that he is going to be a first round pic?
I think Powers is very good, but I don't believe in any shape nor form that he is a first day draft pick at this point. Their has to be motivation somewhere. He is giving up a lot of money by declaring now instead of waiting another year.
Does anybody else think that Muschamp may have hurt his wunderkind status last night?
The Texas fans I know, want Mack Brown gone now and Muschamp in right now. I talked to a huge fan today, and he is still wanting Muschamp to be HC right now badly.
I'm sure someone in the group has access to a list of projected picks.
Happy Afternoon HABOTN. Actually had to work this morning, it's killing me.
Who is reporting that he is gone?? I have not found it yet.
I am kind of surprised Powers would leave early. He is undersized for the NFL and could have improved his stock with a good season. Being on a team that was 5-7 isn't going to impress anyone. In his last game we gave up 36 points. I think he made a bad mistake and it is very likely an agent got his ear.
Powers looks like a second day guy, at best. I hate he's leaving ... for his sake and ours.
Tigercowboy, Eddie reported that he was gone
I need to talk with jerraud, but I that's true -- he intends to leave.
Wow, the coach that beat the $4 Million man makes $681k. That is pretty amazing.
and Jay just somewhat reported it.
By the way when does the comment count get cumbersome?
i hear there's a hot market for 5'6" 160 lb corners without balzing speed in the league. Powers is one of my favorite players on the team, but I think this is a bad idea

I don't even see him getting drafted because I don't think his numbers at the combine will be that impressive compared to other corners who will have the size from smaller schools.
I hope I'm wrong for his sake.
Finebaum appears to be getting on the Chizik bandwagon. He also mentions some very idiotic statements by Governor Barkley. Sir Charles may want to forget about his political career.
Regardless if Powers leaves this year or waits until next year, he would not be a 1st round pic. Maybe there is a shortage of CBs coming out this year and he is a great cover corner. His film will show that and If he's coming out I'm sure that he has heard something positive from the pros. He seems like a very smart guy from his interviews.
I wish JP the best, but I would agree with everyone else who thinks this is a bad move.
However, only JP knows what is best for himself and I respect that. Hopefully he will pleasantly surprise some folks at the combine.
I think Charles talks about running for Gov. just to irk people in Alabama.
I think he has a better chance of getting mauled by a german shepard in Jordan Hare than drafted in the 1st 3 rounds.
hilarious tiger.
Rhett Lashlee hired by Malzahn as a graduate assistant. Interesting.
All Powers needs to do is bring his resume of WRs that he pretty much held in check.
6'6 Deandre Brown
6'4 Julio Jones
Just these two should get him to the second round.
Ironically enough, my guess was that Marks would go pro, while Coleman and Powers would return. Whatever you do, don't base too much on my thoughts.
Zteve, I agree with you. And if Barkley agreed with us there never would have been a firestorm in the first place.
Charles was going to run in 2002, 2006, 2010, and now 2014.
He will run for governor after he wins his NBA title.
Oops.
Jay Mariotti has him pegged on AOL sports, sad to say.
New thread up.
Losing Powers opens the door for Grieg Reid to come in.
