In an effort to keep the HABOTN community relevant during my furlough, though, I have auto-loaded one thread per day. Feel free to share information you find from other sources. All I ask is that you credit the information with a link (preferred) or by name.

Lebo is a very good coach, but apparently not a very good salesman. The new facilities will help some with the latter. And DL, I see $2million reasons why Lebo can expect to keep his job.

THT, I think you hit the nail on the head. I like Lebo but he cannot recruit and that is death.
That leads to the obvious question Jay J. needs to ask... will a new facility enable Lebo to recruit or is it truly his problem and not a facility problem.
I commend your son for his dedication to EPL.. If they would only have a stadium cam so I could watch the drunks I would subscribe also...
Lebo is safe for now. I go to many games each year and have seen that he can coach. He doesn't have the athletes. As with yesterdays gaem, if other teams run that kind of game plan, we can play with them. But when a team can bang it down low, we will struggle. I look for a struggle against UGA next week.
Next years incoming talent is the best he has recruited. Not sure why it tookthat long, but this program will be better in the coming years. IMO

Has anyone else pondered switching from cable to DirecTV or Dish over and over and over but never followed through because the offers are so dang confusing and there is no one to talk to about them? I mean, calling those folks would just get you in touch with an idiot reading from scripts.
Criminal I recently switched from charter to DTV and love it but I dont get any local channels anymore. I plan on doing a sports package durring football season else I will miss any SEC game not on ESPN. I can get locals (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX) from either Cali or NY if I want but I'm sure they wont air any AU games. Just something to think about while you consider the switch.

Literally, I have "The Phantom Menace" on for noise while I work on taxes.
I'm considering a switch. The choices are Comcast, Verision FIOS or Direct TV. Any opinion? I don't have HD so that's not a considereation.
NoVaTiger - I've always wanted FIOS for internet but it's not available here. Otherwise, I'm too ignorant to help you out re: tv options.
Is FIOS really any better than cable for internet?
Even though this is the umpteenth time through any of the Star Wars movies for me, the Pod Race is still awesome and the sound is incredible on surround sound.
And apologies in advance to Commish, but THTjr called and "finalized" the order for our new tv since I refused to. The morons sent an email saying they needed "additional" information to complete the order and I needed to call them. Knowing they had all the info they needed and just wanted to try to sell me crap, I refused. I emailed them to cancel the order. Then they told me by email I had to call if I wanted to cancel the order. So, let me get this straight. My order won't be filled unless I call? My order won't be cancelled unless I call? hahahahaha And yes, they tried to sell THTjr a bunch of cables and offered a huge discount on the extended warranty but THTjr wouldn't bite.
THT, I'd have called and blessed them out for wasting my time and cell minutes. Who'd you order from so I know not to use them?
FIOS much faster than cable for internet
eComElectronics - saved over $1,000 on cost of TV, and sweating bullets that it's not a case of "you get what you pay for." After all, it's the same TV as if I had purchased at BestBuy.
eCom had good customer ratings and I'm pretty certain most all dot.com companies would have made those same moronic attempts to sell more crap. Heck, the sales people in the stores try the same crap.
I've never had a company I ordered something on the web from try to pull that, but I've never spent a couple of thousand on 1 purchase either.
I haven't either. I just suspect that's the way it's done with other dot.coms. Amazon offered it only through an Amazon "merchant." I would have gone with Amazon if it had been available directly from them.

Love, love LOVE DirecTV and I get local channels.
When it's VERY windy or a super bad storm we'll lose the signal, but only until the storm passes. It's not like when cable would go out and it would be out until there was a repair. I'll never go back to cable.
ok, what did I do on my mac to cause the comments to go all the way across the page and the "leave your comment" box to go to the very bottom left of the web page instead of the top right, plus it's punier now.
we had directv from about '95-'01. Customer service got worse and worse and worse. Supposedly better now. We would very briefly lose signal in real bad storms.

Re: Tommy Thigpen, UNC ass't/recruiter, still nothing concrete. There is a "Tommy Thigpen" thread consisting of 8 comments on the UNC rivals site if anyone is interested. I assume it's just rumor talk.

UNC just lost our old DC John Lovett to Miami. He will be DC at Miami; he was special teams coach at Carolina. He was DC at Clemson and one Bowling Green (or some MAC school) after he left Auburn.

Sadly, the Gump is in the 6% of America not being provided local channels by DirecTV. As far as I know the only way is to hoist an antenna. Some indoor antenna's may work and aren't nearly as intrusive. I'd visit the local Radio Shack. Those guys and gals always have the local scoop.

We have DirecTV mainly because of my hatred for Comcast...
Back when I was dating Mrs. FSJ she had Comcast. They were charging her substantially more for less channels in Gadsden than i was getting on Comcast in Nashville.
When we married, I started shopping and chose Dish. We never had a problem with them. The only reason I switched to DirecTV is because I get a discount from my employer with them. Have never had a problem with them either.
And it is like Monica says, in real bad weather you might have the signal go out for a little bit, but when it is over your system is back up and running where Mrs. FSJ had to wait several days on Comcast to repair the lines in the past.
Well both AU and UNC Scout sites are saying Thigpen is headed to AU. Very nice pick up. I bet ole Nicky boy is saying they got who to come to AU?? LOL

it also says that PHILLIP LOLLEY (currently our NFL Relations Director) is the likely candidate to fill the final coaching spot for cornerbacks.

Malzahn is gone in 2 years to a HC job if we have any success. I think Roof has been around and will be willing to stay with a stable job.
The others we may be able to pay enough to keep unless the job is significant step up.

I have Dish Network. They are sooooooo much better than cable. I have the locals here in FL. I even had very little signal loss during the multiple hurricanes here.
I wonder if a couple of hundred hotties calling the advertiser would cause them to pay Jay G for this week...at least enough to justify him updating the HABOTN.
I had DirecTV for 8 years and have been back to cable for 6 mos. I can honestly say that I miss my dish. It's not even close.
