  2. j-z, that sounds vaguely hot.

    ReplyDelete
  3. only vaguely though.

    ReplyDelete
  4. That's my reggae shout-out to The Happy Haitian!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Good Vid, Chizik is thoroughly boring.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Thanks for staying up and getting the video done Jay G, your effort is certainly appreciated.

I'm retiring early tonight guys. Good night to all.

  7. Mr. Tate,

What Auburn coach or assistant, past or present, would you most like to meet in a parking lot to administer a good ole country boy a$$ whuppin?

    Your pal,

    J-Z

    ReplyDelete
  8. I have to include Chizik periodically. He is the head coach.

I concur with your assessment, Seanzie.

    ReplyDelete
  9. j-z, that's tough.

Probably Hugh Nall, but it wouldn't be out of anger. I'd just like to scrap with him so we could argue about who won the fight for the next 40 years.

    ReplyDelete
  10. LMAOOOOOOOO @ 'I know you like my music. Just admit it."

    whew that wuz funny

Mr. Blanc is a big man.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I love the fact that they can talk like college students and express their opinions.

    ReplyDelete
  12. the music was a nice way to end the night....have you heard the Auburn boyz rap?

    ReplyDelete
  13. WEG, the one from a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  14. nice work JG.

Ben Tate seemed like a pretty happy guy......for a fumbler. :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. WEG I agree! I appreciate college athletes that sound like they belong in college. I also like the fact that the new staff seem to be recruiting guys with talent and outstanding grades and ACT scores.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I want to see Ben Tate truck some fools this year. I always enjoyed watching him do that as a sophomore.

    ReplyDelete
  17. agreed Seanzie. looking forward to that.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ben Tate is good for a few fumbles early in the season then usually gets better. Usually

    ReplyDelete
  19. Will the guy who covers wrestling for the Advertiser be covering the midget wrestling at the Blue Iguana tomorrow night?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Couldn't you see the head coach reconciling accounts as a collections representative of an unlicensed loan company?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Advertiser wrestling column = Biggest waste of 30 column inches of sports section newsprint. Evah.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think someone put a link on a couple of days ago. thanks for feeding us some morsels tonight! Are all football fans as crazy as us?!

    ReplyDelete
  23. My A-Day tix came in the mail today!! Whoooohoooo!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Evah?

Is there really a column about wrestling?

    ReplyDelete
  25. it does seem all quiet on the western front....did I see smoke wafting through the air?

    ReplyDelete
  26. i think we're a special breed WEG. i know some fanatical fans, but we're family. so that makes us better. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anonymous10:19 PM

Liked the reggae music....need ganja mon?

JGT..those guys are always very relaxed in your interviews. Seems that they trust your journalism.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Jay do you think this staff will run any of the current WRs to make room for better recruits this year? I heard that we wont have enough room to even sign 25 commits at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Monica ...

Yes ... every Sunday, they waste 30 inches of valuable space on wrestling. It ought to go with the soaps in the entertainment section on Thursdays if they run it at all.

    ReplyDelete
  30. We are family! HABOTN and Auburn!
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Mr. Blanc's arms scare me in a good way.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Why is no one shocked that there's midget wrestling at a bar in Prattville tomorrow night?

    ReplyDelete
  33. jz...we're talking Alabama here

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey are any of you guys runners? I am contemplating a 5k but I would only have about 5 weeks to get ready and I'm a bit out of shape. Is that doable?

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's a very interesting editorial decision on the MAJ's part, indeed...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ok...let me clarify. There's midget wrestling at a bar in Prattville tomorrow night and the godmother of my children is paying $15 for a ticket.

    ReplyDelete
  37. For those of us that have not been paying attention:

Why and how did you get A-day game tickets in themail?
for those of us that paid the TUF money, are we to go online to pay for our tickets or will AU send a notice in the mail?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Because Prattville is a big buffet of redneckocity?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous10:23 PM

My "brotherthebammer" that lives on the lake in Slapout followed rasslin' for years. It's just poor acting to me.

    ReplyDelete
  40. oh my j-z. oh my.

from the previous JGT post, for some reason i always thought Harry Adams was a WR anyways. somehow i missed he was a DB. oops.

apparently he is pretty fast. Coach Troop seems impressed after day 1.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hoopie - You have a brother that is a bama fan?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Scottie B!

Find a way in the back door?

    ReplyDelete
  43. This will be a big recruiting weekend. Along with Seastrunk (#2 player in the nation) we will get a visit from WR Trovon Reed (4* Rivals 5* Scouts) from Thibodaux, LA.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Monica ...

As to Prattvegas' rednecktitude, it has billboards touting itself as "Prattville: The Preferred Community."

It's actually a typo ... the billboards were supposed to say "Prattville: The Prefer Red Community."

    ReplyDelete
  45. I could see a few wideouts disappearing before next season begins.

One guy piquing my curiousity is Montez Billings. He's not practicing. He's out there, but he's not going through drills. He's not in pads. I can't get anyone to say he's injured. I have no idea what to think.

    His status is completely unknown.

    ReplyDelete
  46. WTC you can buy your A-day tix online at the same site you where you pay your TUF money. You dont need to get them early unless you just want to. They should be the same price at the gate.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Another reason I'm not sure why JZ pretends to be surprised by the midget wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  48. j-z, just got home a little bit ago. thanks. i'm guessing they're monitoring the computer usage and blocking certain ones. they got me.

i work nites at a gym to get a free membership. makes for long wed. & thurs. i'm trying to catch up on the news of the nite.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The Montez Billings issue is very strange especially with him being the most productive returning WR we have.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anonymous10:30 PM

Not surprised at the Prattville 'neck factor.

    Prattville = homogenous Bama town.

    ReplyDelete
  51. according to B-Matthews, Coach Troop doesn't expect M.Billings back this spring.

that is odd. McKenzie then Billings.

    ReplyDelete
  52. well hoopie your brother is bammer so should you be throwing stones?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Smoothie B I think Tubs brought him to the D side because of the lack of depth last year but he was highly recruited as a WR.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think I just took a ride on the soul train!!! Good video Jay. Thanks.

I like Tate's attitude. Someone admitting when they had a bad day and not making excuses is a sign of a man. I predict big things for Ben Tate this season.

    ReplyDelete
  55. This cracks me up:

"Recruiting is like shaving. If you don't do it every day, it shows," Taylor said. (B. Matthews, auburnsports.com)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Acually, due to it's agricultural heritage, Prattville is very much an Auburn town. Don't let Bill Clark's pipeline to hell convince you otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  57. and on a side note, i dream to have arms like Super Mario. freakin' scary. looks like i'm doing arms at the gym tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Goodnight Hotties! Keep the home fires burning!

    ReplyDelete
  59. W/o getting into rednecks, mullets, etc. like on AL.com, why do you suppose UAT draws such a big crowd for their spring game? Way more than anyone else in the country. is just because of the coach? Just what is it?
I like my team but it doesn't define me like it seems to do for so many on the other side. i am sure it defines some on our side but I don't think nearly as much over there. any thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  60. thanks BigCat. i've blocked out most of 2008 at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Prattvegas
    Lawyers = Bammers
    Judges = Bammers
    Car Dealer = Bammer

Not much different than other towns in Alabama.

    It's the REC Way.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Scottie how long do you work out every day?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Interesting about Billings. Is McKenzie the same? Will he be back this season?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Monica ... where did u go?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anonymous10:36 PM

Mon..my family is one of those dysfunctional ones. Grandfather played football at AU in the 1920's. His son/My father went to Bama. We grew up Bama fans. Most of my cousins went to Bama and flunked out. The few AU cousins all graduated.

    Wifey's family = All AU..and not dysfunctional.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Mon, if i'm doing the lunch thing i hit one thing for 30 minutes. if i have 45-hr then i'll hit two areas. you don't really have to spend tons of time in the gym if you make it effective.

however, i'll need to do A LOT to get close to my boy Mario. he's a beast.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anonymous10:38 PM

J-Z..when I grew up in P-ville, only the large landowner farmers were AU folks.

    ReplyDelete
  68. In case some of you aren't aware, there are now NCAA rules that penalize schools for not graduating players. It will cost scholarships. Running off players is a bad idea. Besides, I like our talent level.

As for Hoopie, I didn't realize you had a brother that is a Bama fan. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm from a broken home, too, Hoopie. I feel your pain.

    JZ is just in denial.

    ReplyDelete
  70. When are we going to Hamburger King?

    ReplyDelete
  71. I just have to believe Gabe McKenzie's days as an Auburn Tiger are over.

I don't know that as fact. I just sense that.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hamburger King sounds good. i'm hungry. somebody's gonna have to UPS me some to Knoxville. never had it.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Jet Family United.

    In Love

    and In Hate.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I have a theory of why so many Bama fans go to their A-day. It is the one game a year where the cost of a ticket is less than their car payment.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Me either, Smoooothie. I plan on having some in June.

    ReplyDelete
  76. agreed JG. you can't just let one of your players chill at a basketball game and never be around practice if he's still going to play. it doesn't make sense. at least be there to watch the drills & hear the coaching so you'll have some flippin' idea on what's going on.

    ReplyDelete
  77. When will you be here in June, Mon?

    ReplyDelete
  78. good call SFC.

speaking of workouts, you seen the Nazi this week Mon?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Dirty is due June 24. About a week after Ava arrives I'll be heading south.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I saw the nazi on Monday and Wednesday and I'll see her in the morning. My boxing skills are developing nicely.

    ReplyDelete
  81. coolio.

ok, off to bed. until 8:30am ET.........

    ReplyDelete
  82. We need to put together a wish list for this coming season and see if we can get Jay to deliver it to Coach Chizik. I will start things off with my wish for the season.

Coach Chizik, my wish is for us to make it through a season without one of our coaches explaining how big of an idiot he is.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Jay I have that same feeling about Gabe. It just seems so strange though.

Steve i agree with that assessment of bama's a-day game. I use to wonder how there were so many bama fans period but I do understand Alabama folk needing some national respect especially in the 60's and 70's

    ReplyDelete
  84. My wish is that on 3rd and long passing plays that our receivers run patterns beyond the first down stake.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Monica what part of AL will you be in again?

    ReplyDelete
  86. I'm headed home.

    See you all tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Anonymous10:51 PM

    JGT...I hope it isn't grades.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I have another wish for the list for next season.

Coach Chizik, I hope that we can have a season where I feel like our offense having the ball is a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  89. BigCat - I'll be floating between B'ham and Prattville.

    ReplyDelete
  90. speaking of working out in the morning I have to go to bed

    sweet dreams, hotties!
    Safe travels, Jay G.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Do you feel that the UAT fans you know live vicariuosly through their team? Some of the ones I know just come across like there is nothing else in the world but UAT football. They can recall every play, score whatever. It is alost like that is their entire life.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Maybe I just know the wrong uAT fans.

    ReplyDelete
  93. JGT, all you gots to do is let me know when you want to cash in on your lunch. I owe you lunch at Hamburger King... just let me know when.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Mon-you surely need to give Jet and I a call when you are in Pville. We need to get together.
I am marking my calender for those dates.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I've not had many indepth conversations about football with many uat fans but the ones I know do live vicariously through the team.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I do not like to lose, but it doesn't bother me that score was as bd as it was last year. Too many fans want to us ethe score as an indication of their supremacy. I just tell them, yeah we lost. I still had to work the next monday. Move along now.

    ReplyDelete
  97. WTC how long have you been a season ticket holder?

    ReplyDelete
  98. I can't say I live vicariously through OUR team, or that my self-worth is tied to our success.

I can say these three things:

    1. I love Auburn.
    2. I hate UAT.
    3. And I want to beat the snot out of 'em evah time we play 'em in whatevah sport we're playin' 'em in.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Bought them for about 10 years and dropped out for about 5 and started back three years ago.

It got to be too much time on Sat. i dropped out after we beat UAT on the J holmes field goal. I got to AU @ 9:00am that day and got home about 3:00am on Sunday morning and I live in Montgomery.

Sometimes, I feel I can get so much accomplished by not going to the games.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Two years ago, I was ready for the season to be over by the UAT game at JHS. This year may be the same only because there are 8 games.

I love to watch them play, but sometimes thing "there is no line to my fridge, and no line to my restroom at home and if the stick it up, I can turn the channel."

    ReplyDelete
  101. I'm with you Jet. I love to beat them but if not, I will not lose any sleep and if so, I will not lose any sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well, WTC, truth be told, I might lose an hour or two.

But my BP runs a tad higher than yours, I'd guess.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Now I will get chapped if they lose but it doesn't take long to get over it.
There were several of us watching the Ole Miss game and about half way through the 4th quarter, we all decided to watch another game and kept on grillin' and partakin'

    ReplyDelete
  104. Has anyone heard an Antonio Coleman rumor?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Uh oh what Antonio Coleman rumor?

    ReplyDelete
  106. what? did he try to tear ziemba's head off this go around?

    ReplyDelete

Unconfirmed reports (per Aub Rivals message board) are that Antonio Coleman got into a cuss fight with Coach Rocker and
    walked off the field today."

    ReplyDelete
  109. i have wasted time reading the al.com forums before. until jgt reports it, it ain't happened in my book.

i've read some of the junk that guy writes in past life, and he is a few clowns short of a circus to put it mildly.

    ReplyDelete
  110. i imagine the change in the coaches' expectations has ruffled more than a few feathers amongst some of the older players. NO DROPS!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hello all...I was at practice today. Was there for the coaching clinic, however not saying that it didn't happen...but I didn't see anything of the sorts with Coleman and Rocker.

Also, QB race is still very close. Wideouts are improving...and Hawthorne had a HECK of a day!!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Anonymous5:25 AM

Good morning, Hotties and Happy Friday!!!!!

Thanks for the updates, Jay G! Keep 'em coming!

    ReplyDelete
  113. The story could be true, but just understand that that the al.com forums are the worse possible place you can go to get the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Happy Good Friday to you all.

It's 4am here in the Portland, OR area and I'll soon be heading for the airport to come back to ATL. I see that yet again Hamburger King is in discussion. After landing in ATL, I'll be heading towards P'vegas to grab the daughter, rest assured that if I'm anywhere near the closing time I'll be stopping by the King.

BigCat - yes, you can. 5 weeks should be plenty of time to get ready for it. The goal is to finish, not win it right? I believe WTC will concur.

Have a good day today, and a Happy Easter. I hope to be left alone long enough on Sunday to enjoy a bit of golf on tv.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Anonymous6:37 AM

Happy Good Friday to you too, gatiger. Have a safe trip home!

    ReplyDelete
  116. A Good Morning to all!!

There'll be a lot of traveling this weekend. Y'all be safe.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Bigcat-You're training for some type of run? WHich one?

As gatiger said, the goal is to finish. there will always be someone faster. You will be racing yourself, no one else.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Mornin' folks!

Day 2 at The Masters... Tiger makes a bit of a move today. I also think the kid, Rory McIlroy, goes low today. I'm impressed with his game and that of fellow amateur Ryo Ishikawa. Both are very talented young players!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Anonymous8:17 AM

    D. Miller, do you think McIlroy will be around awhile like T Dub or do you think he'll have early sucess and then fade away?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Oh I don't believe that rumor for a second. I gave up on al.com commenters a looooooong time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Al.com poster by the name of probama, quotes an unconfirmed report he "read" on the Open forum at the Auburn Rivals page...wow.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Anonymous8:36 AM

Good morning to all!! Waiting for 10:45am to begin seeing Amen Corner online.

I saw JGT mention that some of the WR's may not be back after the spring....would this be a reason that Adams is switching...not just cause of his speed?

    ReplyDelete
  123. al.com is the internet equivalent of a local fair or carnival. Full of UAT mullets who are looking to pick a fight with anyone who wears shirts with sleeves and does not own any cutoff jean shorts.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Small hands...smell like cabbage.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Anonymous8:46 AM

Jorts! That's what my best friend calls them. The first time I heard her say it, she induced laughterbation. I, on the other hand, was not as amused. Although, listening to her laugh at herself was pretty funny!

    ReplyDelete
  126. As for the AL.com chatter, I don't think that's accurate.

    ReplyDelete
  127. There were at least 300 coaches there for the clinic. Several of them are people I know. None reported anything about an on-the-field altercation ... and they would have been standing a few feet from it.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Jay G. saves the day by dispelling carny rumors from Al.com.

    ReplyDelete
  129. 3 cheers for accurate & honest reporting!!!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Tim Tebow wears Jay G. Underoos.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I simply can't believe someone would post something in an al.com forum that wasn't true.

    ReplyDelete
  132. A random internet poster on a hardly moderated message forum with a reputation of flame wars is incorrect?

I would have never thought something like that could happen. What happened to my America?

    ReplyDelete
  133. If I saw McIlroy on the street, i'd sit on him and give him a dam haircut. I don't like the way he looks.

I hope Tiger shoots over par every round he plays. I am often disappointed, but it sure is gratifying when he doesn't win.

    ReplyDelete
  134. No stock market today, dang it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I'm really not comfortable with you people making disparaging, declarative statements about the most highly respected source of information and enlightenment on the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  136. ehyou ... reminds me of The Big Lebowski when the Malibu cop harasses The Dude.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Comparing AL.com to a carnival and using the term "laughterbation". All why I love this place.

    ReplyDelete
  138. That guy was an f'n fascist, Jay. A real reactionary.

    ReplyDelete
  139. P.S. I can't wait for 10:45 either so I can watch the Masters live. In class. I love college.

    ReplyDelete
  140. hey WarBone I think you're new right? If so welcome to the HABOTN!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Love the music JGT would be better if it were Willie singing Whiskey River.

So no one knows the story behind Billings. JGT that should be your next assignment, if you choose to accept it, find out what is going on.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Pretty much yeah. Been reading for a long time but never posted. Thanks!

WarBone, I can't take the credit. That is a term coined by Monica and her dirty sister.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Great! Welcome to the posting side of life.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Anonymous9:29 AM

JGT - Do you have an Billy Bob Thornton albums? I hear he is passionate about his music like Tom Petty.

    ReplyDelete
  146. how are you watching it in class?

    ReplyDelete
  147. UV Mon does have a way with words.
She sits up at night reading the dictionairy wondeering why there is no plot.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Anonymous9:31 AM

Initially I thought Warbone's avatar was the Periodic Table. Which I haven't seen since HS Chemistry.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Monica is a pro at adding "bation" to the end of words.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Boy LUV I screwed that one up. Just read between the lines and see
It still doesn't make any sense

    ReplyDelete
  151. Anonymous9:32 AM

ehyou, you and I agree on most things, but I have to disagree with about Tiger. I love me some T Dub!!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Anonymous9:33 AM

digger, I LOL'ed at your comment. I just didn't know at whom it was directed. I thought, "Who the heck is UV?"

    ReplyDelete
  153. I wouldn't get overly concerned with Billings. When you have a new coaching staff, some people will move on and it is possible it will be him. I expect a lot of our receivers to step up this season. Once we get a few games under or belt, you will be asking where these receivers were last year.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Well, the iPod touch has a sweet application that was free and lets you watch live coverage. So while I'm taking notes I can watch golf. It's next-generation stuff, really.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Luv..
That's cool. I pretty much react against anything crammed down my throat. Tiger, Yankees, Cowboys, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I use similar technology that allows me to work while chatting on HABOTN, or did I get that backwords?

    ReplyDelete
  157. By the way Luv, I have to say the word "laughterbation" makes me giggle.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Welcome aboard Warbone.
You will help bring the age average back down.
I joined a few weeks ago and the average took a big hit on the high side

    ReplyDelete
  159. Anonymous9:37 AM

ehyou, I will agree with on the Yankees and the Cowboys, though!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Dang it people. No discussing age. What does it have to do with the cost of chicken anyways?

    ReplyDelete
  161. Anonymous9:38 AM

mrtommyd, once again, the credit must go to Monica and her dirty sister. Although, I do love to use it!

    ReplyDelete
  162. And yes work once again is getting in the way of my posting and commenting

    ReplyDelete
  163. Anonymous9:39 AM

Steve, you definitely have that backwards!

    ReplyDelete
  164. WTC - Responding to your comment last night - When I come down we're definitely going to have to plan a Hamburger King Gang outing. Book it.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Wait until Dirty learns that "laughterbation" is catching on!
