Age: 39 (born 2/20/70)
College: B.A. from Baylor, 1992.
Playing career: He played defensive back for Baylor from 1988-91. He also was a return specialist.
Coaching career:
•Auburn, wideouts (current)
•Oklahoma State, co-offensive coordinator/wideouts (2008)
•Tennessee, various offensive roles (2004-07)
•Tulane, wideouts (1999-2003)
•New Mexico, running backs (1998)
•Baylor, various roles (1992-97)
Mentor:
Grant Teaff ("taff"), long-time Baylor coach who later became The Guy at the American Football Coaches Association. "I don't make very many decisions in this business or anything, even with family, without talking to (Teaff)," Taylor said. ``He's like a second father to me."
Previous Auburn experience:
None.
Coaching philosophy:
He likes to keep it simple. The first time I met him, I asked about his approach to the game. He said his only goal is to have one more point than his opponent at the end of the day.
Duh.
The statement makes more sense now that I have seen him work. Taylor isn't one to get bogged down on techniques and intricacies. He's a big-picture guy. He believes the better team on a given day almost always is the one that works harder on that given day. His goal is to build a group of players who bring life, heart and energy to the field at all times.
He is a hands-on guy during practice. He's simultaneously cheery and terse, rarely holding back on the observations that rattle through his head. It's one big stream of consciousness when Taylor opens his mouth. It's like someone reading a CNN crawl out loud: A short comment and then it's on to the next topic.
Taylor has an unusually low tolerance for loafing. This works in concert with his overall approach to the game. He believes players should be at full speed all the time when practice or play is involved.
Personality profile:
Taylor has the most infectious personality on the Auburn staff. He smiles all the time, laughs loudly and laughs often. Taylor has a million andecdotes. Every topic has some kind of parallel in his world, which helps him gain trust easily.
I've said before that Auburn has the sellers and the truthers when it comes to recruiting. Taylor is the No. 1 seller. He's the guy who's laughing, shaking hands, dropping references, patting people on the back and creating a party atmosphere.
He is the best seller I've seen at Auburn. He can seem trendy to a 17-year-old kid and seem genuine to his 70-year-old grandmother in the same sitting. Taylor is a politician.
He is the heart and soul of the Tigers' recruiting effort. He works closely with Curtis Luper, Jeff Grimes to represent the selling side of Auburn's enterprise.
At the same time, he doesn't strike me as being all that cavalier when the curtain drops. I don't think he's as happy-go-lucky as he seems. He is task-oriented. Taylor works through a list each day because things can get away from him. His conversational style, by definition, can lead him into tangential enterprises. He's a guy who can engage and disengage quickly. It has to be that way.
I haven't yet gotten a strong feel for Taylor's ultimate professional goal. He officially is an assistant head coach. He handles business at Auburn when Gene Chizik is away, which creates the image that Taylor is ready to take that next step. Before that day comes, though, surely he'll need some time as an offensive coordinator.
I'm not sure his big-picture approach would work well as a coordinator. Those guys typically are really into strategy. Maybe Taylor is a magical Xs-and-Os guy who is hiding behind a shrewdly constructed facade. Time will tell.

ReplyDeleteWith NO DROPS
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am in a steven king movie where everyone is gone..
ReplyDeleteIm lonely..i wnat someone to talk to me...
ReplyDeleteyo, DL
ReplyDeletei want to be infected with Trooper's personality
ReplyDeleteIt's lonely at the top, DL.
ReplyDeleteLIFE!!! I love it..
ReplyDeleteHABOTN will be the downfall of N. Korea as Dear Leader spends all his time waiting to be #1 on every thread (and it was all part of JGT's master plan).
ReplyDeleteNOw that we have JGT Peeps..
ReplyDeleteVery interesting notes on the fact that Troop is big picture and may not be OC material... Startign a little fire... Is Troop going to be behind "the man" all his life or can he break out to a head coach?
JGT stir'in the puddin
It's soooooo tough to be cautiously optimisitic when you got Trooper in your show.
ReplyDeleteI swear I have not been able to spell for about a week...
ReplyDeletesorry for the typo's
JayGT- help my tired old brain. Can you think of any head coaches who weren't OC or DC before getting the HC gig?
ReplyDeleteI've wondered since he was hired at Auburn if Trooper would be given a shot at the OC position when Malzahn moves on. He obviously came to Auburn with the expectation of moving up in the coaching ranks. Is he going to get that chance here, or will he be another Rodney Garner(in the great recruiter, lifelong position coach sense)?
ReplyDeleteExcellent as usual.
ReplyDeleteOn a side conversation, yes ... I was talking about dish network. yea or nea?
"It's like someone reading a CNN crawl out loud" great line
ReplyDelete"Taylor is a politician." yep, a cameleon.
I bet he's ADD. What's the longest he's ever had one job?
looking forward into the past, was Larry Blakeney and/or Pat Sullivan OC at Auburn before going to Troy/TCU? I'm thinking at least one of them was not, but I don't know. Bottom line, yes it will probably be difficult for Trooper to go from ass't to HC without an OC stop along the way.
ReplyDeleteand a chameleon
ReplyDeletebetter ADD than AC/DC, at least from the perspective of useful traits for a coach
ReplyDeleteI just can't assess Taylor's true grasp of strategy. I really don't know. I don't think anyone outside of the OSU and Auburn coaching staffs know.
ReplyDeleteI like Jay G's half full analysis of our coaches. Coaches who are not technique oriented don't get "bogged down in the details," while those are technique oriented are "masters of teaching technique." (I am paraphrasing, I am fairly certain you have never actually said that, Jay)
ReplyDeleteSo Jay, my question for you is this: from what you have seen over the years, what makes a better coach? The motivator or the technique oriented coach? I know that different styles reach different players, but do you think a majority of the players react better to a certain style? Has there been a coach around who is really the master of both?
Phred -- I like Dish Network because we get HD local feeds here in the Gump.
ReplyDeleteIf you're keen on sports, though, DirecTV's programming puts DN to shame.
Hallelujah! HABOTN was starting to show signs of Vitamin M deficiency
ReplyDeleteTuberville was a coordinator for only a short period of time. I want to say it was one season at Miami and one at TAMU before he got the top gig at Ole Miss.
ReplyDeleteAs for technique vs. big-picture, I think each paradigm connects with a certain kind of kid.
I definitely believe Taylor will get a chance for the OC job if Malzahn is good, makes Auburn better during his time at Auburn and gets a better gig.
TarHeel, I remember Sullivan serving as OC under Coach Dye. I can't remember what position Blakeney was serving in when the Ramsey mess struck.
ReplyDeletehandout coordinator?
ReplyDeleteOuch.
ReplyDeleteif you are talking about world cup soccer, oh well.
ReplyDeleteIf you are saying poor NCAA football coverage, then that is a big issue. How about it?
poor attempt at humor. I was 1000 miles away and never knew what was actually going on, other than 60 Minutes version
ReplyDelete@THT
ReplyDeletenaw mane ... he was the down home coordinator cuz.
I would like ALL the regional sports networks, but I'm not sure Dish or Directv offer that. It seems like you only get the one in your region. My region sucks.
ReplyDeletewtc, if you see this, I posted the 07 player losses at the end of the previous thread. Sorry to interrupt the new thread
ReplyDeleteSince you can sign 100 over 4 years, but never have more than 85, there needs to be attrition of about 3 per class/yr, and that doesn't even include redshirts. Someone with better math skills can figure that one out.
ReplyDeletePhred -- I'm talking about MLB and NFL. That's all on DirecTV.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about CFB.
ESPN carries so much football now ... I wouldn't need to see anything else.
I think this is what I'm looking for in regards to tv sports
ReplyDeleteI just need to find something that carries CSS (Comcast Sports Southeast), SportSouth, and FSN South. Isn't CSS the one that has the occasional Auburn programming?
ReplyDeletePhred I have DTV and probably would have looked harder at Dish if I could have gotten locals here in Lee Co. I never really missed locals until storms came through and I had to rely on the internet and the radio for coverage.
ReplyDeleteIt's really all Beyonce's fault! She had me mezmerized with those "let me upgrade you" commercials for DTV.
I just read on the previous thread where Chris Zinn is no longer on the football team. I am shocked. By the way, who is Chris Zinn?
ReplyDeletelance armstrong improved to third overall, above his favored teamate contador, in the 3rd leg of the tdf today. i know it's an obscure sport, but the average -articipant makes 200k per year.
ReplyDeleteI was looking at our roster on rivals and it has Dee Ford listed at 6-4 214lbs. He was 6-2 190 when he committed to us. Jay have you seen him since he got on campus?
ReplyDeleteTroop doesn't sound like an OC or a HC. He does sound like a personality though. I just don't think I would want an HC that is as free flowing with his thoughts as this blog seems to indicate. Also, I want a detailed oriented OC.
ReplyDeleteAs for what a HC should be, he should be a manager above all else. He should be the interface to the outside world. He should be the final word in terms of team discipline. He doesn't need to be an X's and O's guy, but he needs to be a motivator.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's HABOTN Kickoff Kountdown honoree
ReplyDeleteAight ... so I just got the Direct TV 150+ with the sports pak and a digital tuner for local channels.
ReplyDeleteDid I do good or did I eff up?
I hope Troop isn't dissappointed at the lack of Troop comments when he reads this later tonight. For the record, I think you are fabulous Troop.
i don't care what TT is as long as he can breathe life into the WRs this season or go find better ones.
ReplyDeleteDpressed-Thanks for the info. I saw it onthe previuos thread and am just now able to respond. If THT's report is correct, AU has fallen way below the minimum that needds to fallout in order to get the full limit of 85.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct about the class ranking. The results should be withheld until you see you makes it to school.
I think Rivals printed a story that if you count just those that got into the school they committed to, Notre Dame had the #1 class in 2007. UAT falls to #5, I believe.
I also do not like counting a signee more than once. It makes the recruiting stuff even more unseemly.
ReplyDeleteWith that said, most of would still like to have top rated recruits.
Off topic
ReplyDeleteThe Pittsburgh Penguins rank No. 3 out of 122 professional sports teams in fan relations and No. 4 in ownership, according to an annual survey conducted by ESPN The Magazine.
They would rank a lot higher in my survey if they would let fans outside of PA/WV/OH get on the season ticket wait list.
Troop seems like he is going to be great at motivating players. Last season it didn't seem that the hearts of our receivers were in the games. Do you remember the interviews with Knox? Neither do I. The receivers were caught in a black hole surrounding Knox.
ReplyDeleteActually, I am not as concerned with recruit ratings as I am with filling needs. The real measuring stick of a class is probably how many end up playing on Sundays.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Luper state his goal was to be a HC? I would think he'd expect to be considered for OC when Malzahn leaves.
ReplyDeleteMalzahn won't be around long. He either succeeds and moves up or doesn't and moves out.
Malzahn will be around until we have a big season offensively. It could be one year or five, but my bet is it won't be longer than 2 years.
ReplyDeleteThere was no offensive coordinator during 1986-90 seasons.
ReplyDeleteSullivan was the QB coach, Blakeney the WR coach, Neil Callaway and James Daniel the OL coaches, and Bud Casey was the RB coach.
Blakeney was the primary play-caller. Sullivan, Callaway and Blakeney put the gameplans together. Tommy Bowden was given the keys to be OC for the 1990 Peach Bowl after Blakeney left for Troy.
Good info, Jet. I thought Sullivan was the QB Coach/OC. I always thought Sullivan was calling the plays, I didn't realize Blakeney was the primary play-caller. On another Sullivan note, didn't LSU go after him while he was at TCU? It would have been nice to see Sullivan given the chance at an SEC school.
ReplyDeleteDepressed ...
ReplyDeletePat agreed in principle to become the LSU coach after Curley Hallman was fired. But it fell apart when LSU wouldn't pay the buyout of his deal from TCU. DiNardo got the job a few days later.
I think two years later, the floor fell out from under him at TCU.
At Auburn, Pat signaled the plays in from the sideline. Blakeney had the play sheet in the box. It was a very much a collaborative effort between Sully, Larry and Callaway.
Larry interviewed and was the runnerup for the Marshall job that went to Jim Donnan in 1989, then got the Troy job the next year.
Bro Jet, as usual knows the Auburn Good Book from cover to cover.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't have to be an OC or DC to get to be a HC
I don't recall Pat Dye being a DC/OC at UAT before he got very successful HC gig at ECU.
ReplyDeleteSo me and a group of friends are going to the LSU game in BR this year. Any tips on parking? Other tips?
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to keep your mouth shut and wear something purple and yellow. And don't say anything about corndogs. The closet I ever came to being beaten to death was in BR. Lucky for me, my group of XL friends were not very far behind me.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go out on a limb. But I just believe it is true. Tyrik Rollinson will be the starting QB by mid-season. I don't think anybody understands yet how truly great this kid is going to be. We've never had anybody like him.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Phomerly Phred on the he will play this year but not about him begin great, what he accomplished in high school was "great" and we havent seen a qb like that in a while so i guess we should have high expectations, were so used to having our highly ranked players from high school busting or transfering..think about it..
ReplyDeleteBut now there is an entire different staff in place with great position coaches except at HC...ooooops
Wow, PMarsh thinks that Burns and Caudle may have competition at QB, and it won't be Tyrik Rollison. Anyone got an idea of who it could be? Did Durst take up throwing the ball in the off-season? I am shocked.
ReplyDeleteIn the name of liberty, and freedom, and people, and... stuff... let's do that again! ..... I hereby kidnap myself, and I'm taking this blog with me. Whoo!
ReplyDeleteAero, is there a ransom?
ReplyDeleteT minus 60 days until kickoff
ReplyDeleteThis All-American offensive lineman who wore jersey #60 came from Georgia and was at Auburn in the 1980s. Yes, that describes Stacey Searels. But he's an honorable mention today.
Our honoree today wore number 60 for another team.
HAPPY PATRICK FAIN DYE DAY!!!
WARRRRRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
Rise and shine Hotties
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Hotties. Nice work, once again, Jay G. I never knew anything about coaches until this blog. I think CGC has put together a great staff. Hopefully, they will achieve great things!
ReplyDeleteBack to work today. Ugh
ReplyDeleteI feel ya, Jet. Did you play golf yesterday?
ReplyDeleteMorning folks. It's Tuesday which brings us one day closer to the weekend and perhaps more importantly, one day closer to shoe meeting leather. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
ReplyDeleteKeep Hate Alive.
Did O.J. do it?
ReplyDeleteBecause of the weather, my brother and his nephew played an hour earlier at Lagoon Park, which precluded me from playing. So, no golf.
ReplyDeleteIt rained on them lightly the whole time ... had I played with them later in the a.m., we would have been poured on.
I went to his lake house later, and when we drove home last night, it flooded.
THT, great play with #60 today. i was thinking Searels. you got me. All Hail Patrick Fain Dye!
ReplyDeleteoh, and i searched for Kendall Simmons last nite. in the '97 Bama program (as a freshman) he was still listed as #73. so, still dunno where that website got #61 from. it's a mystery.
WDE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanna wrestle those angels. Who's with me?
ReplyDeleteya know Scottie B, I found it on the WWW, so it must be true ;-)
ReplyDeleteOn a hopeful note, the incorrect game dates in 1901 & 1910 may get corrected in this year's media guide. Although it's been sent to the printer, they are going to try and get the correction in. Monk & I will both rest easier if they can.
SIGN ME UP!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news, Hotties! My coworker got her dog back last night! A couple a mile and half away found her. My coworker's son, who is five said, "Good mama. We not cry no more." Her husband said that he couldn't go through an ordeal like that again.
ReplyDeletethat is great news Luv! It makes me happy to hear. How is Geno doing?
ReplyDeletethat's great news Luv!
ReplyDeletewhen my wife got home yesterday Tucker got so excited in the garage that he jumped up and accidentally opened the garage door! luckily we corralled him in about 30 minutes. he had WAY much more fun than we had.
Geno is ok. The area around the sutures from his degloving injury is oozing a lot. There's also an area of skin that is turning black, which could indicate that that area is dying. If the area is small enough, it will grow back together. If it's too large, he'll have to have a skin graft.
ReplyDeletescottie, Tucker sounds like a handful!
ReplyDeleteGreat call there, Tarheel. Like scottie b, I was thinking Searels all the way. Coach Dye deserves his day, even wearing the Bulldog jersey.
ReplyDeleteKendell Simmons always wore #73 at Auburn.
ReplyDeleteEddie, there was a mysterious website that THT found yesterday that had Kendall wearing #61. thus, we set out to prove/disprove this theory. we thought it might've been give to him as a frosh then he changed it. however, this was not the case. don't trust the WWW!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLuv......you have no idea. i work harder at home than i do at work. it's worth it, though. i love him to death.
ReplyDeleteTurn up your volume and click here.
ReplyDeleteMonnie is FIRED UP this am! turn it up!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhh. Now THAT'S the way to start a day of work! Thank you Monica!!
ReplyDeleteMonica that was FANtabulistic!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to hit me a bammer. Where's Brodie when you need him.
LOVE IT! Thanks, Monica!

ReplyDeleteWho knew a Honda Accord EX L V6 with navigation in polished metal metallic with dove gray interior would be so hard to find?!
ReplyDeleteI hate being patient!
Scottie- Oh man, if I can't trust the www, then who can I trust. I guess bama never won all those championships that they said they did. I have no proof and the www cannot be trusted. Oh what to do.
ReplyDeleteI also hate paying $50 to verify that a $50 modem is dead because of lightning. Seems ridiculous to me, but if that is the way the insurance company wants it, so be it.
ReplyDeletePaid Mr. Transistor in Auburn $305 to tell me 7 electronic items were dead because of lightning. Seems a waste to me. Test one and if the rest don't work, attribute it all to lightning. But that is using common sense I guess.
Can anyone recommend a good electrician in Auburn? I need to have an insulation resistance test done on my condo that was struck by lightning.
ReplyDeleteto be honest, I've never heard of a good electrician. You certainly don't want the one who wired our house.
ReplyDeleteAre you ready for player assessments?
ReplyDeleteWe only have 14 days until Media Days begins, so it'll have to be a lightning round. Can't hit all 22 starters.
Suggestions?
(I'll assess the most popular requests.)
Longsnapper - who's handling it now that Dax is gone bye bye?
ReplyDeleteI will be on WMSP again today ... from noon to 2 CDT.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the regular co-host is out again. Check the link from "Monday reset" if you'd like to attempt to stream the broadcast to your Apple ][c, TI-99 4a, Timex Sinclair or Commodore 64.
Eric Smith. Is he looking forward to running over Petey? Everyone is talking Tate, Fannin, McCalebb. Where does he stand?
ReplyDeleteI actually played Atari Pong (Christmas 1975) and thought it was so cool.
ReplyDeletethe guys in the trenches, O & D.
ReplyDeleteI ate Space Invaders for breakfast in 1979.
ReplyDeleteand no one could beat me in football on my first computer
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to here the thoughts about the new schemes from the O and D linemen
ReplyDeleteor hear... or read
ReplyDeleteZac Etheridge and Lee Ziemba. After offseason surgery, will they look more like the players from 07 or 08?
ReplyDeleteso Bag snagged you again, eh JG? u seemed surprised yesterday when he said you'd be back on. ha.
ReplyDeleteScottie, I'm surprised myself.
ReplyDeleteI can handle most of the assessments so far. I cannot, however, predict if Ziemba and Zaccheus Etheride will return to form.
Carnac The Magnificent is dead.
I see your point, Jay. How about Michael Goggans?
ReplyDeleteAs is his sidekick.
ReplyDeletePour a little for Ed Mc.
I hate to be cold and uncaring.........but
ReplyDeleteI'm a little tired of the non stop Michael Jackson coverage.
I'm ready for the season of hate myself.
So I take it, FSJ, you're not following the coverage on your iPhone?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in the OL, the LBs and the "hands" team.
ReplyDeleteNo..I'm saving on battery life.
ReplyDeleteJGT, please no Jacko talk on the radio today. I'm tired of all the non stop coverage. Does anyone else not think it's wrong to be selling tickets to pack out the Staples Center for the memorial of a perverted nutjob freak?
ReplyDeleteOooo...good one Jet.
ReplyDeleteKicking Game - will we have one?
Who, not currently on the OL, is most likely to end up there to add some depth?
ReplyDeleteCarnac - aren't you supposed to give us the answer and then the question?
ReplyDeletewhat kind of shape is John Sullen in?
ReplyDeleteI say you he big.
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Samford Hall tower, Onterio Mccalebb, the UAT fanbase
ReplyDeleterippp, pfffff
ReplyDeleteName a clock, a jock and a crock
Very nice Ehyounack
ReplyDeleteJay GT - a request to file away for the recruiting season...
ReplyDeleteUsing Joe Namath and Tucker Frederickson as examples, how was recruiting done back in the "stone age"? I.e. how did coaches go about finding players from far away lands, how much communication occurred, what was the whole process like. And, WTH did fans do with all the time on their hands since they weren't blogging and following internet recruiting services? Oh, now I remember, I went outdoors.
TarHeel, I am by no means a football scout, but having watched Sullen play in HS, I would be very surprised if he sees the field for Auburn University this fall. He needs a RS year, hopefully he will get one.
ReplyDeletePlayer reviews? How are the WR's looking? Will they be the most drastically improved unit this year? (I would prefer that honor go to the OL).
ReplyDeleteAs I would like for our players to have the utmost confidence going into this season, whether or not it is rational for them to, I would vote against player assessments on HABOTN. Some of them may be Hotties after all.
ReplyDeleteI found this kind of interesting. It was obviously created before Chizik was hired as HC, though.
ReplyDeleteChart
Last- No Substance!
ReplyDeleteI believe I have drops.
ReplyDeleteHey, you're just like the guy who posts first on threads, but the opposite. Wowza!
ReplyDeleteI feel like i'm in a Dr. Seuss book where everyone is here.
ReplyDeleteI'm busy, I don't need this.
ReplyDeleteKeep up with your drops, Follower. They don't look good on the side of my highway.
ReplyDeleteIf your not last, your irrelevant
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Nick Saban, Urban Meyer and Lane Kiffin
ReplyDeleteWho are the three stooges?
ReplyDeleteDeath!!! I hate it.
ReplyDeleteif my not last, my irrelevant
ReplyDeleteRip, pfft
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Name 3 coaches who've never won at Jordan-Hare.
Did anyone pay Aero's ransom?
ReplyDeleteHopefully Norm will chime in with "Name 3 people who've never been in my kitchen."
ReplyDeleteif any players are Hotties, they aren't spending enough time in the weight room, class room, library, or stadium steps.
ReplyDeletewhy Brother Jet!.... Nick Saban has never won at Jordan-Hare Stadium (@ Pat Dye Field)!!!!
ReplyDeleteJGT- Can you please do a player profile on John Cubelic?
ReplyDeleteAlso, an update on Dax Dallenbach would be nice too!
ReplyDeleteDoes Mario Fannin have a regular position or is he going to play another year of utility RB/WR and get left out of important drives late in the game?
ReplyDeleteI've been following Auburn since the day Bowden stepped down. I have to get my tiger fix when i'm not laying low.
ReplyDeleteDear Follower is obviously a fan of under-the-radar type players.
ReplyDeleteI see potential in our 3rd team long snapper and I would like some background on him. I think he can rally get that ball back to the holder in a split second.
ReplyDeleteBe that as it may Jet, those people have NEVER been in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteSorry for being late on that one. I actually left my desk for lunch.
Keep Hate Alive.
I haven't seen anything as dead as this thread since that screening of Jaws the Revenge
ReplyDeleteBuford- Did you not got to an Auburn game last year?
ReplyDeleteFollower, you are correct. The Arkansas game was also dead.
ReplyDeleteAs dead as this shark.
Also, our offense post Franklin was about as entertaining as Jaws the Revenge.
I hear ya dear follower, that is good stuff.
ReplyDeleteNice avatar, BinOBA.
ReplyDeleteAre those the final remains of Salsa Shark?
I had not seen jj's interview thing on the ledger-inquirer. I think he is a good fella that has been ...misunderstood, if that is the word for it.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that he is fostering two children is pretty impressive to me.
We can only wish.
ReplyDeleteWhen you wish upon a star....you get nothing.
ReplyDeleteSo do recruiting stars mean nothing, Follower?
ReplyDeleteThat would upset the Bammers for sure.
recruiting stars are all media hype, just ask Tuberville.
ReplyDeleteDang ole media members...
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Sarah Palin and Joe Biden working on a Rubik's cube
ReplyDeleteRip, pfft
ReplyDeleteQuestion: What is the only thing more futile than Ben Tate on the stretch play in 2008?
hmmm....... watching a hearse drive Michael Jackson around L.A.?
ReplyDeleteScottie- Is it any different than watching a white bronco in LA?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: JGT & Dear Leader posting on a thread.
ReplyDeleteguess not. but the Bronco was more entertaining.
ReplyDeleteRip, pfft
ReplyDeleteQuestion- What posters have substance?
watching a pass play "develop" on offense in 2008.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Something that only happened in practice?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Salsa Shark
ReplyDeleteBinoBa- False, never happened. Try again.
ReplyDeleteWhat leaves red stains that can't be cleaned up in one wash?
ReplyDeleteI've got Bufford, What is Josh Moon's handle on HABOTN?
ReplyDeleteEarly Vegas lines on college football
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteLet's see, Josh has brought up war, media access, politics and religion. And that's only the first 10 minutes of the show.
ReplyDeleteMedia bias for Obama? NO WAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteNext you'll tell me the B'Ham News has a Bammer bias.
Welcome to the Josh Hanity Show, I mean the Max Roundtable.
ReplyDeleteAuburn is favored by 4 points over West Virginia? What do they base that on? We don't even have a starting QB yet.
ReplyDeleteOklahoma is a dead on pick. They've won more season games since 2000 by anyone by a long shot.
ReplyDeleteBowl games...another story, but they dominate during the year.
Anybody want to mention Ohio State on the show?
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but the guidos in Vegas are usually accurate
ReplyDeleteLSU=fertile.
ReplyDeleteNice word. They are in a talent rich environment.
Josh's assumption that Saban built the LSU program is sophomoric and shows his lack of knowledge.
Answer: Tommy Tuberville
ReplyDeleteQuestion: A coach who built it, quit, and left?
ReplyDeleteI hear ya Jay. Saban retires at Alabama, IMO. Notre Dame is not a step up at this point.
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Josh Moon and Alabama
ReplyDeleteBuford,
ReplyDeleteCertainly you don't think that Dinardo built LSU?
Question: What goes together like RC Cola and Moonpies?
ReplyDeleteFSJ- Everyone knows that Curly Hallman built up LSU.
ReplyDeleteAnswer for Bags/Jay:
ReplyDeleteSaban is like Real Steve Jobs....he is an dictator and that does not work too well in today's NFL.
It works well in college still.
FSJ, I think DiNardo wasted a talent rich environment.
ReplyDeleteSaban won at LSU. Yes. However, as crazy as Les Miles is, he has done a lot at LSU.
I would agree with that Buford, but Dinardo did nothing of any substance at LSU.
ReplyDeleteTurlington is HAWT.
ReplyDeleteFSJ- Do you believe that bama is Saban's final stop?
ReplyDeleteHonetly?
John Mayer is a dbag to the maximum
ReplyDeleteNO SUBSTANCE
ReplyDeleteNice one Dear Follower
