- The squad is working together in one big group today.
- Auburn has four scholarship linebackers on the field today. Adam Herring, Spencer Pybus and Harris Gaston are out with injury. You wanna talk about thin?
- OL Andre Harris took a nasty tongue-lashing from assistant coach Jeff Grimes for not having his helmet aligned properly during warm-ups.
- Wes Byrum attempted several field goals in a "live-action" drill to open practice. He connected on all seven attempts, the longest from approximately 45 yards.

Geeze, what happened to the LBs?
ReplyDeleteLightn'in steve
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry DL. Just kind of fraziled over these linebackers. I think Roof may have another one. I didn't catch his last name, but I believe his first is Sonofa.
ReplyDeleteHey next year we can offer a recruit immediate play
ReplyDeleteAt the rate things are going, you should drop by the athletic complex. They might offer you immediate playing time.
ReplyDeleteAnd so it begins.
ReplyDeleteWhat is up with Adam Herring anyway? Anybody know?
ReplyDeleteHerring was out there in shoulder pads, but his injury hasn't been disclosed.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I can parlay a video out of this footage. I only got four minutes of footage.
ReplyDeleteIt'll have to be a BONUS video.
This is depressing. 4 LBs?
ReplyDeleteCan they use a 5ft9 160 lbs dude?
Video is up.
ReplyDeleteI have two years of eligibility left, should I stop by?
ReplyDeleteWell i was wondering the first time someone would get in trouble for not having their helmet aligned...not looking good..
ReplyDeleteFrom story i read when CGC was hired
"And when he made the players spend 20 minutes of the first spring practice of 2007 precisely lining up their helmets, you wondered if a real life Captain Queeg hadn't taken over the ISU football program"
Jay, if you don't mind you should share the link of Andrew Gribble's article on AU's attrition he wrote today. Absolutely amazing. Wasn't our 2007 recruiting class ranks #7 in the country?
The number one thing that bothers me about CGC is his micromanagement. I have seen "leaders" lose the respect of their teams by majoring in the minors.
ReplyDeleteHope it doesn't happen here.
p.s. going to rent The Caine Mutiny
... and wrapping the helmets in plastic during practice so they don't get scuffed.
ReplyDeleteThink Pat Dye wanted pretty white helmets?
... and another thing, that dumbass drinks SaBear's kool aid and gets a grey shirt when he could be in the playing rotation at Auburn.
ReplyDeleteArrgh!!!
