Early practice report
Hey everyone. The Tigers' second practice is underway.Here is what I saw:
- Kodi Burns and Neil Caudle are grouped together today. They're working primarily with DeAngelo Benton, Emory Blake, Terrell Zachery and Darvin Adams.
- The two quarterbacks didn't seem especially sharp with their accuracy, but I was only able to watch them for 10 minutes or so.
- K Chandler Brooks now is wearing No. 29.
- Gene Chizik is much more involved than his immediate predecessor, though I typically see him mixing with the defensive guys.
That's all I have at the moment. I'm going to produce a practice video, but it won't be long. I hung around the QBs and WRs exclusively today.

Mario Speedwagon made a nice catch that would have drilled me. I left the field unharmed today.

John Hughes, director of great films like Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, has died at 59.
Bummer.
He also did Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Man, John Hughes did awesome movies. That's sad news.
Sad News, Jay. I'm a big fan of his work. I was always hoping he'd come back and do something else.
He was also a writer for the National Lampoon series and Home Alone. He was associated with some of my favorite movies.

Thanks for the link. The more I read about this guy, the better I like him, and I already liked him lots. I wish some of these guys would make some decisions.

Saw the news about John Hughes. That sucks. I always felt that he was chronicling my adolescence.

This just in, Chris Todd will be the man that starts the season for AU. Anyone want to take this bet?
P.S. I gagged when I read this rumor earlier today so don't mistake me for a Todd-lover.
Todd is only the guy if there is no other viable option and we're going to try and just get through games...so I will take the bet. I say he won't.
I agree. Thought it was sickening to even think people would be serious about that and we're a month from kickoff.
We're better off direct snapping to a RB than going with Todd.
Can someone explain exaactly what a grey shirt is? Is it where they pay their own way for a year and then go on scholarship? Are they still guaranteed a scholarship after their grey shirt or do they have to "earn" it again?
I think Todd's going to be the hotness holding the clipboard on the sideline.
I can promise you, with 100% certainty, that a "winner" in the quarterback hasn't been determined.
Cincy ... you understand the concept correctly. They're not guaranteed a scholarship during the next season, but it's basically assumed.

I've looked on every website and have yet to see Chris Todd throw a pass. I would assume he will probably be 3rd behind Caudle,Burns. Rollison will redshirt.
