Practice notes, 8/12

I'm going to do this in stages as I did last night.

STAGE ONE
  • Trooper Taylor is very high on his freshmen (Emory Blake, D'Angelo Benton, Anthony Gulley and Travante Stallworth) and said he'll explore the idea of redshirting an experienced player to ensure playing time for the freshmen.

  • Onterrio McCalebb: "When I score touchdowns, I think about money. If you ask the players, 'What does McCalebb say when he gets the ball on the 1-yard line?' Most of the players will tell you: 'That's money.' Because you have to get in the end zone."

  • Blake said McCalebb is so fast that "he chases rabbits and squirrels."

  • Tommy Thigpen said his top three safeties are Zac Etheridge, Drew Cole and Mike Slade. It looks as though Daren Bates, who arrived on campus for the first time late last week, is the No. 4 guy. He's going to play.

  • Neil Caudle didn't seem very enthusiastic today. He said his first scrimmage drive was a three-and-out. His second ended with an interception -- despite alleged claims to the contrary from Birmingham-area radio guys. Caudle said he thinks he's done enough to start.

  • Kodi Burns seemed even-keeled as usual; said he thinks he's done enough to start.

  • Chris Todd seemed more jovial than usual; said he thinks he's done enough to start.

  • Mario Fannin said he looks up to McCalebb because "he plays with a lot of heart. The coaches like that about him."

    endzone = money

    nice

    ReplyDelete
  3. "Chasing chipmunks and squirels" is pretty darn quick!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jay, did you see Caudle leave last night. I am wondering if he intentionally skipped the interviews because of his frustration. I am guessing he is done.

I find Anthony Gulley's contributions interesting. He played 1-A football in this state. Albeit, he played at one of the better 1-A programs in Brantley, that's still quite a jump in competition.

    weagle83 - it's fast as hell

    ReplyDelete
  7. APPLEBEES PICK AND PAIR

    ReplyDelete
  8. I have no reason to think Caudle is done.

Allegedly, Al Del Greco was on the radio this morning championing Caudle as THE NEXT QUARTERBACK after watching the scrimmage last night.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Courtney Taylor played at a 1A school, too.

    ReplyDelete
  10. As for Kodi thinking he is good enough to start, I get the impression he is saying it to convince himself. He always says that. My guess is he is relegated to the number 3 spot behind Todd and Tyrik. I am anticipating seeing Tyrik take over around the UT game.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Love the chipmunk and squirrel line.

Also, from the previous thread. Thanks Eddie for posting the media marketing in the SEC story. Interesting read.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The idea of redshirting a returner to allow one of these freshmen to play is intriguing. This group of true freshmen receivers does look to be impressive.

    ReplyDelete

I didn't know that, Jay G. Thanks for sharing. I saw him at Brantley and he has skills. Glad to see he's working out well.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The "SEC Digital Policy" is a very hot topic among newspaper hacks and internet people right now.

The companies that back us are about to enter this fight arm-in-arm. I suspect the SEC soon will back off many of its mandates.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I like Al Del Greco, but he isn't the king of predictions.

    Steve,

If Tyrik is starting by the UT game, then I worry about our offense. I don't see us throwing a true freshman out to start his 1st game in our 1st road game of the year unless something has gone wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't see him starting against UT, but I see him eventually coming in when our offense is stuggling. When that happens, I think there is a good chance he will take the job.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I guess that's possible.

I've never seen the kid play and I don't know if he can lead at team at the SEC level, so I'll hold judgement until I see him play.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Peeps: I forgot to disable auto-play on the video this morning. I am sorry for that.

    Situation resolved.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Jay, what do you think of Eddie's link which says the policy was to basically protect the hacks. For instance, if I video Jay doing an interview and post it to my blog before you write the story ....

    ReplyDelete
  20. RK: Thanks for the Applebee's tip.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Jay, is the story at Auburn similar to the one at UGA with Auburn's "media" piggybacking off you guys?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good to see Harris Gaston playing.

    Is the Tailback Eric Smith?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't think the SEC cares about anything beyond cash money.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Aero: It is Eric Smith getting pounded.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thoughts ...

    1. I played at a 1A school.
    2. Jay G, you should show AU your new digital policy.
    3. Rollison may very well be the most talented QB we have on campus. In fact, I suspect he is.
    4. I have a Webinar this afternoon -- whatever that is.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am positive Rolison is the moset talentd qb on campus. He just isn't ready to start

    ReplyDelete
  27. Did cincy get rid of the armadillo yet?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I am under the impression Rollison is our most talented QB, but we have a lot of talent at the QB position. Todd, Caudle, and Burns are all very talented. I think coaching and how we prepared the QBs in the past have hurt them. They are basically pulling a Greg Luganis, a beautiful dive until they hit their head on the diving board.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'll be greatly surprised if Kodi Burns gets significant playing time at Auburn again.

Just from what little video I have seen, he still seems to change his form and release from pass to pass. I don't see Gus putting up with that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The feeling I get is both Kodi and Caudle are done. Todd will likely be the man while Rollison is brought along. I am also thinking Moseley may turn out to be much better than anticipated, although he could likely become the permanent backup to Rollison.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't buy that we have a lot of talent at the QB position. Not one bit. I think it's just the opposite and that is exactly why Rollison will play this year. If we had a lot of talent, we would be redshirting Rollison before it even got to this point. Rollison is probably our best option.

    ReplyDelete
  32. double ditto WERK's opinion of webinars

    ReplyDelete
  33. What do you call it when boss calls you and whines all the time about everything and he is the owner of the company? Whininars? IF so, I hate those!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Eddie, there is a difference between talent and actual performance. Our receivers last season were very talented. Hawthorne was one of the top receivers in the nation coming out of high school. Just because a player has talent doesn't mean that he plays well. Like I say, we had the best suck receivers in the nation last season. It comes down to coaching and preparation.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think webinars should be illegal in Alabama ... kinda like nekkid women on wine bottles ... and other things.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Steve- I'm talking about QB's not WR's. But if Trooper is thinking about redshirting veteran players to play true freshman, then you can use the same analogy there also.

    ReplyDelete
  37. A different way of looking at it. Marks was a two star guy. He was coached up well by Price and is now playing on Sundays. He is a counter example to what we have done to these QBs. It can be blamed on various things, such as Knos, Franklin, Borges, Tuberville, yadda yadda yadda. The fact is, we haven't done a good job of developing QBs. We have done an excellent job developing linebackers, defensive ends, running backs, and tackles.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Goldberg should be a little cautious while captioning pictures.

"Trooper Taylor: He likes the young receivers" <-- bad idea.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous1:38 PM

I hate to do this because it seems so cheesy, but Jay G. has pointed out why Auburn develops linebackers, defensive ends, running backs, and tackles before.

"This is a power team. It's going to be a power team, and that's just how it is." - Jay G. Tate the day Tony Franklin was fired

I agree with that statement as the history backs it quite convincingly.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I am officially faking the webinar.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sensi, I would suggest that we develop those positions better than we do QBs. It isn't we sign better players at those positions. This comes down to the coaching.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Remember that Malzahn's offense, while spready in some ways, is a power offense. He comes at the defense's throat.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Power running game = Butter

    Gus' Spread = I Can't Believe It's Not Butter

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yeah defense's throat! Yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I have "never" done crack. But I do know what it feels like because I have been tweaking out all date hitting refresh waiting on that little bit of news from todays practice. I need to go on that show Intervention. I just sit here all day and hit refresh.

My name is PDWT and I am a scrimmage note addict.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Taikwon Paige is shown on the Auburn roster, as #36 DB. Here .

Didn't know he made it in.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Webinars rule. They are cause for dialing in from home in my pajamas, disabling my webcam (if they are in use), turning the volume down and taking a series of naps. Every 30 minutes, I wake up, find out what's going on, ask a question, then go back to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  48. As J-Z would say ... if hitting F5 is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Aero - Good catch on the bad caption. funny

I have faked my share of webinars. They never knew it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anonymous1:48 PM

    Exactly, Jay G.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I played the back 9 during a webinar once. Like I said, they are not bad things.

    ReplyDelete
  52. You're hanging out with enablers, PDWT. It's all good.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I once had a webinar stuck in my teeth once, I got it out with dental floss..

    You guys lost me..

    ReplyDelete
  54. I might be the only soul in here that takes / has to take webminars very seriously.

I record the screen using camtasia.

    ReplyDelete
  55. My new name is Camtasia.

    Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Aeronaut,

You do take them seriously, and God bless you for doing so. My webinar today was put on a by group which has a long history of existence to it members and had been sold a bill of goods that a webinar would be useful.

I think Patches O'Hoolihan had a wonderful statement about the utility of this webinar, but I shan't repeat it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. That's interesting, Aero.

Lemme see if I can find out about that Paige page.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I had camtasia once, but a round of pencillin took care of it.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Webinars are great for catching up on your sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Enablers- you mean like all the folks refreshing after they comment to see who may have responded or what new idea has been proposed?

Or losing your mind because you actually have to go do work instead of watch the thread?

yeah, that's me. My name is mytommyd and mrtommyd sometimes. And I am a scrimmage note addict

    ReplyDelete
  61. Gentlemen, now appearing on the main stage, formerly a strapping young man, now a manly young lady, put your hands together for...Camtasia

    ReplyDelete
  62. Scott totally gets it. That's exactly what I was thinking.

    Camtasia is CAMTASTIC!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Awesome Jet.

So Steve, you can beam about the Tubs finding the diamond in the rough, but Tubs also finds alot of garbage also. You were just tricked into believing that.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Ummm, didn't mean anything by that, Monica. I just noticed that you have adopted the name. Besides, I'm pretty sure the Camtasia I'm talking about used to play for UAT.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have been to many websites or blogs, none of them hold a candle to the smartass humor in this one.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Addition to the FAH Club: Harry Adams.

Fannin said McCalebb and Adams are The Two Fastest Guys.

    ReplyDelete
  67. O dear camtasia dropped her fig leaf

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hmm, the record says otherwise Eddie. Tubs proved that he could win the games he shouldn't. Unfortunately he also proved he could lose the games he shouldn't. But it seems you missed the point on developing QBs, which was the topic. We haven't had a coach that did a good job of developing QBs since Pat Dye. Even Bowden was pretty boneheaded when it came to developing a backup for Craig.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Anonymous2:03 PM

    I like the FAH club.

    Nice.

    ReplyDelete
  70. There is a reason my billing goes way down during football season.

    ReplyDelete
  71. FAH at the defense's throats. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!! Money time baby!!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Who is the fastes player of all time?

    Alexander Wright, Tom Carter?

Anyone else? This is an open question, I dont "think" there is answer.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Tim Carter I meant, I know both those guys had track backgrounds.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I will never understand why coaches and I mean good coaches do not develop back up QB's especially during a winning seasons. It would be great to have a QB coming back after the No. 1 graduates with game (real game) experience

    ReplyDelete
  75. Fastest? My bet is on Bo.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ace was pretty #@$%^fast

    ReplyDelete
  77. Bo was pretty @$%^!@ fast. And big

    ReplyDelete
  78. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Scott! I was being serious about you totally getting it. When I saw the name "camtasia" the first thing I thought was that is a perfect stripper name. Even better a perfect cross dressing stripper name! LOL
So, I meant that you and I were thinking along the same lines. I found that funny, but you should probably find that frightening.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Bo was a freak. He was the fastest player on the team and also the strongest, other than some of the linemen. Yea, you don't want to run into Bo in a bar fight.

    ReplyDelete
  81. All four QB's think they are Muhamid Ali "I AM THE GREATEST"
But none have proven a thing yet!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. mike price loves some Camtasia...

    ReplyDelete
  83. Is chasing chimpmunks and squirels like Mick making Rocky chase chickens to get fast?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Another interesting Bo fact. I once read that he never really got into weight lifting until he got to college. He was just a genetic wonder.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Momma named him Clay, I'm calling him Clay

    ReplyDelete
  86. I know, Mon. I had not read your 1:59 post when I posted at 2:00.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Doug Langenfeld-2003
    Patrick Lee-2003

Two players I would take exception to Eddie. Langenfeld played very well at DE after transfering from Juco & Patrick Lee was a very good CB.

However, just seeing your list made me laugh at some of the names that never even touched the field.

Bruce Edwards touched a field, but it was the baseball field.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Bo wan't Superman, but I doubt Superman would want to mess with Bo.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Mytommyd,

I've been quoting the barber shop scenes from Coming to America since I was in 7th grade...probably shouldn't have said a lot of those words at that age, but those lines are priceless.

"Joe Louis was 137 years old..."

    ReplyDelete
  90. Wes are you listening to Fbaum?

    ReplyDelete
  91. RK ...

Everytime somebody starts talkin' 'bout boxing, some white guy goes, "Rocky Marciano! Rocky Marciano!"

    ReplyDelete
  92. All in all, xCTT was a good coach and stuff. I wish he knew the direction to nearest Zales, for diamonds etc, not in the rough. Not getting into it..good coach. good coach.

I think about 1/3 of the scholarship roster is QBs and WRs.

    ReplyDelete
  93. "He whipped Joe Louis' @$$..."

"That he did, he did whip Joe Louis' @$$."

    ReplyDelete
  94. What's funny about that is out of the third of our scholarship players, we can't find a decent passing game.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I don't think anyone would say Tommy Tuberville wasn't a good coach.

    ReplyDelete
  96. aaand I'm telling the good folks at Camtasia what you think of their product.

    horrifying.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Coach Franklin's last words you gotta have Wide Recievers you gotta have QB's running around the field wild eyed "you can't heve too many you can't have too many.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I knew a Tom Carter ... weighed about four bills ... doubt he was very fast.

    We all love Tubs.

Can't we just agree that his milk expired about two years ago?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Aero be sure to tell them it was Scott's fault. Please and thank you.
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  100. Jet, I'd say it expired @ the 2007 Cotton Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  101. there's a joke there about spilled milk - i just can't quite work it out

    ReplyDelete
  102. wow! it really works. I asked' and JGT delivers!!!

    thanks!

MissTHT and I should be home from philly about 9:30 EDT tonight.

    WAR EAGLE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Don't cry over spilled milk
but do cry over spilled BEER

    ReplyDelete
  104. Don't cry over spilled milk
but do cry over spilled BEER

    ReplyDelete
  105. THT: did you take a pic with the liberty bell?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Ahhhhhh Coming to America. The first wife hated it, yet another warning flag I chose to ignore

    ReplyDelete
  107. Anonymous2:31 PM

I thought that joke was about free milk and the cow.

    Oh, well...

    ReplyDelete
  108. Listen if you all keep posting fun stuff on here, I'm going to be forced to stop working altogether and not get anything done

    ReplyDelete
  109. Haven't seen "Coming to America" in years, but I remember thinking it was pretty darn funny.

Joe Louis was at the end of his career, but those barber shop guys were right:

    Marciano vs Louis

    ReplyDelete
  110. ahhhchaaaaahhhh, ahhhchaaaahhhhh

    ReplyDelete
  111. Now I'm confused, who was getting free milk and who had to buy the cow?
Tubs, Jacobs, Lowder, Franklin, BBQ Bunch, Yella Fella?

    ReplyDelete
  112. I still like my idea about beefing up some of these QBs and calling the offensive linemen. You can add a few WRs to that.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I think Franklin insisted that the cow lose weight and the cow stopped giving mil.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Okay, somehow I am getting John McCain updates on twitter. Someone make it stop!!!

    ReplyDelete
  115. That's when told me a story about free milk and a cow, she say no huggin', no kissin' till I get a wedding vow.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Remeber Steve, you were the one that wanted to be hip, up to date and fully informed on everything twittery :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. And then she got a wedding vow and proceeded to take all my stuff. The end.

    ReplyDelete
  118. My honey my baby don’t put my love upon no shelf
She said don’t give no lies and keep your hands to yourself

    ReplyDelete
  119. And then she took all my stuff. The end.

    ReplyDelete
  120. i do know this, if the new ncaa 0-10 game has anything to say about it Auburn is going to be really good and really fast. i bought/ played it last night and the play book is incredible. there are actually toss plays in there and the other runs actually go forward...not to the side.

    ReplyDelete
  121. but, it also still has Trey Blackmon on the roster...so...you know

    ReplyDelete
  122. Steve. You should thank them for not sending you twitter updates from John McCain's physician.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm late to the dance this afternoon, but a couple of thoughts on Lac and the previous post on #24:

I worked with the RB's in 02 and 03 and I remember a telling comment from Ronnie Brown during a scrimmage in Spring Practice 03. Ronnie of course was on equal status with Lac at this point (as he pretty much was the rest of his career at Auburn) after what happened in 02, but during this one play in the scrimmage, Lac went on one of his vintage runs about 25 yards from the endzone where he makes like 4 or 5 ridiculous cuts around defenders and scores a touchdown. Ronnie was on the sideline watching and after seeing this he turned to everyone around him and said with a smile, "I can't do that s--t."

Like Jay G. said, he also had that competitive streak where he didn't avoid contact (which is why I think we all knew his career in the NFL would be so start-stop). Ronnie running over Jason Allen in Knoxville in 04 (not to mention the year before in 03) gets a lot of play (rightfully so) with Auburn fans, but Carnell did the same thing to Allen to score later in that game, though he did not so much run over Allen as Allen just sort of bounced off of Lac and fell to the ground.

Also, for those who didn't like Bramblett's "Go Crazy Cadillac" call (for the record, not a huge fan of RB either) from the 03 Bama game and thought it was weird, that was all about being Lac's euphemism for playing great. Earlier that year after he ran all over Arkansas in the 10-3 win in Fayettenam, Lac spent all of his time in the locker room afterwards yelling to noone in particular, "I'm goin' crazy."

I still probably like Ronnie more as a person and think in a lot of ways he's just as good if not better (certainly more complete I think) than Lac, but Lac WAS special (obvious, right?). Sorry for the epic post.

  124. New video will DEBUT at 3:30 p.m. CDT.

    Mark your calendars.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Good Post, Eddie.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Nice post, Eddie' Bro.

    ReplyDelete
  127. So have the Hotties figured out who the QB is yet?

    ReplyDelete
  128. I remember "Go Crazy" being the catch phrase for Carnell that year, however it just seemed forced, goofy and cheesy when Bramblett said it.

    ReplyDelete
  129. It's Frank McIntosh.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Or the brother thereof.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Informal beat-writer poll:

    Starting quarterback?

    Zero votes for Caudle.

    ReplyDelete
  132. RK- it always sounds goofy when middle-aged white guys say things the young kids are saying.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Who garnered the most votes, Jay G?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Todd won, Burns was a close second.

I think everyone is in agreement that Rollison will play.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Jay, and the winner is?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Todd 6, Burns 3, Caudle 0.

(We just had a Burns-to-Todd switcher)

    ReplyDelete
  137. WoW....Todd huh? Didn't see that coming.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Anonymous3:06 PM

Mon....I imagine you are listening to PF....I was sure PF was going to get that chick to explain how to do 2 at once. He stumped her with the word simutaneous. Polysyllabics get 'em every time.

    ReplyDelete
  139. As I say, fear Todzilla. He is coming.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Hoopie - If you're talking about "Tammy" I admit that I muted her. When I realized she was about to start actually answering that idiot guy I knew I couldn't take it. Sounds like I made a good move.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Loganville, you must have missed it. I announced Todd as the starter a couple of months back. Fear Todzilla.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Steve speaks the truth, he issued the Chris Todd warning back in the spring.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I'm rollin' with Rollison. No matter when they decide to start putting him in.

    ReplyDelete
  144. And for the record, I am not in love with Todd. I see him as the best decision maker we have with experience. I liked what I saw from him in terms of decision making last season. I did see his throws get more and more erratic, but the decision making was there.

I think Todd gives us the best chance of having a consistent offensive performance. I in no way think he has the big play potential that Kodi does. I just think his down side isn't nearly so low.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Burns should use his redshirt this year and transfer.

Mon...he got her to the brink and smartly went to a commerical.

Steve definitely predicted Toddzilla as the most likely outcome. Of course Steve has also predicted every possible outcome.

  148. Oh Lord...here we go...

  149. I don't know, Hoop. Steve has been saying Todd for a while now.

  150. Hypothetical question...Is it wrong to wish for someone to die in a car crash?

  151. Well, there was my Brent Poole period, but other than that, it has been Todd.

  152. Video problem solved.

  153. Get ready, JZ!!!

  154. And contrary to popular opinion, our offensive problems were not related to Todd early on. It had more to do with Lee Ziemba being able to count to 3.

Kristina..yes it has been what he has predicted as most likely. He has also over the course of the past spring/summer covered most every other possible outcome.

His analyis is solid and I generally agree....I'm just poking at him.

  156. If Chris Todd's arm is healthy, then I am fine with it. He definately made better decisions and seemed to have the team behind him far more than Burns last year.

  157. why when I read the QB's qotes about each of them "starting" does the song "three blind mice" keep spinning throught my head.

Honestly, someone has got to be better that the others... I getting real nervous about the " they all suck equally" answer

    ReplyDelete
  158. Well I didn't think there was a chance Todd would be the guy this year, so I have to hand it to him for predicting that at all.

I think most of us were just thinking there was no way his arm would be where it needed to be.

  159. I say start tyrick from the get go....The others are just simply no good.Really not much argument to be made, Tyrick has more talent than all of the rest combined. But I will support whoever they start....no booing please!

  161. And Todd had plenty to do with the offensive problems. NOODLE ARM. If he is "healthy" now so be it but I better not see those wet noodle middle school looking passes or I might throw up in my mouth a little

  162. All aboard the Kodi train...

    Choo Choo!!!!!!!

  163. Burns is out. Wildcat man or safety. or middle tennessee.I hate it cause I like the guy but he is not an SEC QB.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Burns cant even throw a pass to a back in the flats!!!! I mean its a 9th grader throw and he throws it at the feet of the WR EVERYTIME!

    ReplyDelete
  165. With a healthy CT my predictions for the season are elevated to 8 wins! Malzahn must already have his pecking order. I saw it's Todd, Rollison, Burns. Tyrik gets a year to learn behind a pretty good decision maker before taking over the team.

It's funny that the QBs performances seemed to be a reflection of the reputations that they have earned thus far. Burns : FG and a 3 & out Caudle: INT and 3 & out.

I just read that D. Bates had an INT, a forced fumble and several tackles! He said he was going to prove the scouts wrong about ranking him so low.

If I remember correctly, Steve qualified his prediction, based on Toddzilla's recovery. The chances of full recovery from that injury are low.

DL..I have the 3 blind mice fear also. I've refrained from comment so far hoping that one really has outdistanced the others and the coaches are just waiting.
