I heard Usain Bolt is walking on to play QB. Anyone seen him around?

Is he faster than McCalebb?

just a bit, but not as fast as me on I-85

Back home, THT?

9:41 PM
Blogger michael said...

I am incredibly fast. I ran a 4.15 40 last week. I timed myself. I just counted while I ran.

9:43 PM
Blogger Peter Frankenschmidt said...

He's fast as hell. that's the truth. I don't know if you can measure speed after it gets to that.

9:43 PM
Blogger michael said...

Hell runs approximately a 4.32 40.

9:46 PM
Blogger Peter Frankenschmidt said...

maybe it can be measured. who knew.

Caddyshack 2 is almost as bad as Smokey & the Bandit 3.

Cannonball Run 2 was horrible.

According to what others have written, Chizik and Co. hope to make a decision after the scrimmage on Saturday for a starter at QB. Does mean they will but are looking to do so.

Blogger Tar Heel Tiger said...

Hi Mon - yep, catching up on lots of emails and will crash early tonight...but not before getting a post ready for the a.m. Day 23...hmmmm

9:59 PM
Blogger michael said...

Yes, you hated to see them shamelessly make Cannonball Run 2 just to cash in on the success of the first Cannonball Run. Really hurt the integrity of the series.

McCalebb is faster than:

a. a hiccup.
b. Big Snacks at a buffet
c. Josh Thompson

10:10 PM

thanks for the answer, Eddie

another question...I haven't seen any interviews with Coach Luper. Does he not speak to the media anymore?

10:11 PM

Michael,

You couldn't be more correct. Dom Deluise was hosed out of an Academy Award for Cannonball Run.

Your commitment is admirable, THT.

Todzilla sounded to be the most confident in this video. Kodi having trouble with the rotating QBs isn't a surprise. I think Caudle is realizing his limitations.

10:15 PM
Blogger Scott M. Brannan said...

yall think Trooper is really serious about redshirting non-freshman receivers? that would be odd.

10:16 PM
Blogger Tar Heel Tiger said...

don't get your hopes up, Mon. It ain't gonna be much.

10:16 PM
Blogger Tar Heel Tiger said...

after all, I'm pretty doggone hungry, and food definitely takes priority. Time for supper. Ciao! Or perhaps, Chow!

10:18 PM
Blogger michael said...

I redshirted non freshman all the time in EA Sports games. They never complained.

10:18 PM
Blogger Jet said...

Scottie ...

Who among our returnees at WR is so stellar that it is out of the realm of possibility that we would redshirt them?

10:18 PM
Blogger Scott M. Brannan said...

i didn't say it wasn't a good idea. just foreign to me. i'm looking at the roster & i'm thinking Hawthorne? he ain't much good in the tub.

10:20 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

I really like the way troop talks about how the players are enthusiastic. The last time I remember hearing that was after the 2003 season when the players were anxious to prove that 2003 was a fluke.

Fear Todzilla!!!

Blogger Jet said...

THT ...

I say redshirt him again.

10:25 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Hawthorne is one of our better receivers. He wouldn't be redshirted anyways. My guess would be one of the sophmores, possibly Winter. Harry Adams may also be a possibility.

Fear Todzilla!!!

10:26 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I just did a quick check and Derek Winter and Darvin Adams are the only 2 I see that have a redshirt left. I didn't check Zachery or billings b/c they need to play.

10:27 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Tristan Davis should be granted another 3 or 4 years of elligibility based upon how often he was injured. He could get injured several times just walking to practice.

10:27 PM
Blogger Jet said...

Hoopie ...

DArvin ADams is getting good reviews, I understand. Haven't heard about Winter.

10:30 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Jet....I read/heard that about DAdams also. I was just reaching for RS candidates. According to the AUC article, Blake is looking good. In the 2010 off season, we will probably lead the SEC in WR attrition.

10:35 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Eric Smith is going to be another player to watch. I am curious how they are going to get Tate, Fannin, McCalebb and Smith enough carries. It should be interesting. Option football coming to a plains near you.

Michael is one of the most unique personalities here. I smell a computer geek that goes into morning if his hard drive dies.

10:38 PM
Blogger michael said...

Are you saying I have control over time and space and can instantly make it morning if I get annoyed with my computer?

10:39 PM
Blogger michael said...

And actually, I rarely get on my home computer. Definitely not a computer geek, I only use my work computer for Microsoft Office type things (though I do miss the programming I did in college). But you could still classify me as a geek, for sure. I know my wife does.

Cartersville, GA, native and Auburn graduate is a former All-SEC and ACADEMIC All-SEC Tiger. Sorry for the brevity, but I had an unexpected trip which cramped my style. Anyway, the HOTTIES are all fully cognizant of the greatness of Ronnie B!!!

Honorable mentions:

Fred Beasley

Gotta give a shout-out to Kenny Irons, too.

Ronnie Brown was definitely one of the best if not the best all around players in Auburn history, or at least in my lifetime.

"Hawthorne is one of our better receivers."

Yes, all 12 of his career catches and zero TD's illustrate that point.

6:09 AM
Blogger cincytiger said...

We all know Ronnie Brown, but here is a bit more info.

Although he started only 12 of 47 games for Auburn, he finished his career ranked 7th in school history with 2707 rushing yards and 5th with 28 rushing touchdowns. He also had 58 receptions for 668 yards and two touchdowns.

He was selected 2nd in the draft by the Miami Dolphins.

Here is a little reminder of what Ronnie could do:

We were at the UT game in 2004 and when Ronnie ran over Jason Allen, as soon as the crowd got a little bit quieter a guy in our section stood up and yelled "THAT'S RONNIE BROWN".

Ever since then every time Ronnie did something or we see a highlight on TV my wife will yell out "THAT'S RONNIE BROWN."

The only reason Hawthorne had so few receptions is because they never threw it to him. He was always open.

Blogger cincytiger said...

Luv,
Are you talking about the Ronnie Brown video? I just tried it again from the link and it worked. Not sure why not for you?

7:16 AM
Blogger michael said...

Luv, of course I was joking. I don't think Ronnie Brown, busy with Dolphins training camp and his millions of dollars, really feels slighted in any way about getting a shorter than usual THT post. I just giggled a little bit at the irony, seeing as how he was tossed to the side early in his career in favor of Caddy, and now Caddy gets a large entry and Ronnie got 3 lines. It just never ends for poor Ronnie (well, actually rich Ronnie).

7:23 AM
Blogger Jet said...

There's something about a big back running over a defender that makes you feel alive ... unless you're the defender.

Tell Jason Allen the tag number on that truck was "23."

7:23 AM

No, the video for this thread. Big Brother has youtube blocked.

7:35 AM

Aren't Ronnie Brown and Jason Allen teammates on the Dolphins?

I wonder if Allen shutters when Ronnie walks by...

7:37 AM
Blogger michael said...

I wonder if Ronnie hung up the painting of that event in his locker for Jason Allen to see.

Michael - I understood your post immediately. I have always been a HUGE fan of RB, and always wanted him to be featured back. Hard to argue with playing Carnell, though.

BTW, all Caddie got out of me were some stupid lyrics.

7:56 AM

Yeah, i love to watch Ronnie Brown run the football. You know him and Jason Allen both ended up on the dolphins roster. Has there been any murmur of a HABOTN fantasy football league?
