Belated Tuesday night report
Hey everyone. I was in a hurry to get home Wednesday night, so I didn't provide a post-practice report. I'll denote that with a BONUS tag.
Photo credit: Todd Van Emst/Auburn University
- Gus Malzahn on Auburn's pace, which didn't satisfy him last week: ``we’re wanting to snap the football as fast as we can and keep the hammer down and not give them time to look up."
- Malzahn on if he'll use TB Eric Smith this weekend: ``We’ll just have to see. It’s hard to say right now. We’re just kinda moving him around."
BONUS - LB Craig Stevens on the beat-writer squabble he witnessed a few weeks back: ``I thought they were playing at first. I didn't know what to believe. I thought I was getting punked."
- Stevens on his performance against Louisiana Tech: ``The first half, I'm not gonna lie. I was tired in the first half because I had to run down on the first kickoff and then they had a long drive right after that. It took me a while to get my breath back. Once I got my breath back and got my second wind, I was OK."
- OL Andrew McCain on the task ahead: ``Our goal is to get to Atlanta and win in Atlanta. Mississippi State comes in with a really good defense. They play fast. They play physical. We've got a challenge ahead of us and we're in a situation where this is one practical step we can take toward our goal.
BONUS - McCain on the team's approach heading into the Louisiana Tech game: ``Coach Chizik made a point before we left LaGrange to ride over here for the game … that people were going to watch us and people are going to her about us and how that game went. Based on that, they're going to make judgments on who we are. It's the same thing in life: People either see you do something or hear about something you did and they're making judgments on who you are.
- McCain on why coaches seem almost grumpy this week: ``They don't want anybody to get ahead of themselves. It's one game and there's a whole lot more to come. It's one of those things where we said: We're going to enjoy this (on) Saturday night. That's the fruit of all the labor we've put in. Then the labor starts over again the next day."
- Kodi Burns on the "Wildcat" formation: ``I definitely think it has a lot more potential for it to be better than it was. If you notice, the guys who were tackling either Onterio or me were in the secondary. I guess it’s a pretty good sign we can get on those guys. We just have to be able to make them miss and go all the way. With the Wildcat, I think we’re just scratching the surface."

Boom.
err, woot-woot.
Peter- I say Bryce Brown. He is bigger and can take a pounding a more consistent basis IMO. McCaleb will have to improve on not going down on first contact.
Sweet, Kenny Mayne had a candid conversation with Tim Tebow, only available for ESPN's paying members! I'm sure he got riviting new information out of the worlds most overcovered college student. I'm going to pay my ESPN membership right now to get insider access.
What happened last night? I must have missed something.
Jet, the ABCs of the HABOTN ... that's pretty good.
Is "asshat" untoward enough to have to make it @SShat, though?
family blog.
I try to keep it clean by typing "assh@t"
But it's only a hat ... a certain variety of hat.
A chapeau.
Asschapeau.
I need a visual for assha@
Holy Crap 600+ comments? Is there a cliff's notes version anywhere so I can get caught up?
Mornin and a big War Eagle everyone!!
Asshat Visual For Eddie
MonD would say I'm the visual.
Another one Eddie ---->
Michael- LOL
I suppose there are worse things than being called an asshat...for start, a bammer ranks the top of my list.
Mond calls everyone an as$h@+, Jay G. No worries.
weagle, that was hilarious. I think Aaron's wants their table back.
Oh I should throw a warning that the linked video above is in no way SFW, and is pretty offensive.
Schoooooool
"Mah table! Mah table!"
That video is HILARIOUS
Eddie,
CFN did actually pick us to win this week...however I think we'll put up more than 26 points.
I'm going to a focus group today that I don't care about in the slightest because they have free pizza and prizes. Does that make me an asshat? I know I'm a douche for a certain FB deletion, but I don't know if I'm a hat, too.
How did the summit go?
The play in question was a blatant personal foul, too.
This is weagle's link ...
This contains unsavory language (though funny), so proceed at your own risk.
DRUNK ALABAMA FAN GOING CRAZY
that video is blocked. I'm going to the car to get my usb thingie and see if i can see it that way
weagle, did you banhammerbate the original post? Bad form!
Peter, you had the nerve to unfriend someone? And this gal still is going to marry you ... even after it's been documented that you unfriended someone?
Where are we at in society today? COME AFTER ME. I'M A MAN. I'm (37).

I deleted the original post, then reposted it with an appropriate warning.
It's not weagle's fault.
COME AFTER ME. I'M A MAN. I'M (37).
I'll go create a new thread now.
Again, was the summit successful? Are all parties in agreement on the treaty?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Ah, you're OK then weagle. I am sorry if I referred to you as an @++hat+++ or anything like that.
As a good fan blogger with no actual information, I will report Sensi that all parties came to a mutual agreement to agree to disagree and everything is fine and dandy now.
i guess i need to read last nite's JGT/Mon battle. must've missed something good.
Thanks, Michael.
Scottie b, it included a run-in from wifey and a disqualification due to the illegal use of an asshat. It was quite a match.
I'm inviting Ricky (from the vid) to my next party
Just make sure you hide your good table, mytommyd
RK- 41-14. That's my prediction.
No worries Michael. I realized my mistake too late after publishing the first comment anyway, so good on JG for cleaning it up.
Auburn 24, Mississippi State 21
Sticking to it.
youtube and other blocked sites run just fine in firefox on a U3 USB stuck into the computer at work!
