ReplyDeleteScottie with Substance
ReplyDeleteScottie wins!
ReplyDeleteQuestion was: What number did Brad Lester wear during the 2007 season?
I hope this thread is going to be a little more positive about the AU Tigers chances to win this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteREMINDER
ReplyDeleteChat begins at 2 p.m. CDT. Be there or be rectangular.
2007...#1
ReplyDeletehe did wear #28 in 2005.
what do i win?
I picked Auburn to win, 24-21.
ReplyDeleteoh, i get it. sorry JG. a little slow. funny guy.
ReplyDeleteYou win ... a dinner at Ye Olde Steakhouse with Layla Kiffin.
ReplyDeleteIf your wifey is aiight with you dining with such a smokin' hot gal, then we'll make it happen, cap'n.
I can't believe Tuberville is a rat.
ReplyDeletesweet! make the call!
ReplyDeleteWhat time is the chat?
ReplyDeleteJay G ...
ReplyDeleteI want the dinner at Ye Olde with Layla. Please, please, pretty please.
I'm gonna have to be rectangular for the 2:00 chat and maybe TNL. Sad, but so it goes.
ReplyDeleteCincy, to answer your question from the previous thread, I am indeed heading back to God's Country, aka, the South, aka Tennessee, aka the Noog. I'll be at the Navy Nightmare next week. Holla!
Earthquakes, phantom whistles, missing 21 field goals in a gmae, dumb men in hats with ridiculous play calls.
ReplyDeleteWeird things happen in Baton Rouge.
How's that for positive, Cincy?
I think Auburn has the chance to win at LSU, they will have to play considerably better. We've seen them play very well at times this year. They will have to play very well for all 60 minutes to beat them.
ReplyDeleteSean: Who is that Lego figure?
ReplyDeleteScottie: I need your wifey's consent form ASAP.
If our offense can have some sustained drives of the 3-5 minute variety or several big plays, I think our defense can hold against LSU. However if the defense has to play 20-25 minutes of the first half, we will be done. MHO.
ReplyDeleteJay, the lego figure is just a dude I made. I'm about to re-design.
ReplyDeleteI need a new knee.
ReplyDeleteSensi,
ReplyDeleteDo you have any Anaprox (a wonderful drug!)? If not, you can take like 3 Aleve. That ought to help with the inflammation, better than Ibuprofen. You can't remember anything you did to injure it? It is beside your knee, not behind it in your calf, right?
Maybe you have knee cancer, Sensi. I would suggest exploratory surgery.
ReplyDeleteAbove knee cap on the inside.
ReplyDeleteCan't think of how I did it. I stood up and it started hurting two days ago. I made an appointment for the doctor tomorrow morning.
The pain radiates from the spot above my knee to just below the kneecap and wrapping around to the backside of my knee all on the inside. The outside of my knee doesn't hurt at all. It's very sensitive to touch also if that helps.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cincy.
Attack Sensi while he's weak.
ReplyDeleteSomeone put him in the figure 4 leglock.
I like the redesign.
ReplyDeleteA working-class gangster.
Who's going to the game?
ReplyDeleteThis one?
ReplyDeleteWorking class gansta = Michael Bolton from Office Space.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this one.
ReplyDeleteI celebrate his entire collection.
ReplyDeleteSensi,
ReplyDeleteSounds like an MCL injury. Can you remember anytime that you hit the outside of your knee, kind of forcing it in toward your other leg? Could be you had a partial tear and then just the way you stood up could have aggravated it further. Large doses of Naproxen Sodium (Anaprox or Aleve) will help. Keep it elevated like you did last night. Put ice on for 15 minutes every hour. But allow it to warm up the other 45 minutes of the hour. You don't want frostbite in addition!
Disclaimer - I am not a doctor, but I did play a nurse on TV for many years. :)
But, I've never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express
ReplyDeleteSo who is going to the ole miss game?? Looks like i will be there, i'm down with a tailgate and will bring some fresh fish and some softshell crab and stuff like that. If there's an official Hottie meeting locale shoot me a message and let me know.
ReplyDeleteCincy,
ReplyDeleteThanks. Eddie told me the same thing (he's injured his before) and a friend at Troy who used to work in sports medicine did as well. I'm going to the doc to make sure I'm in the clear for other issues and will apply ice when I can. Hard to do that at work.
I'm going, but with the early start, doubt I'll make it in time for any tailgating.
ReplyDeleteI'm not looking at surgery, am I?
ReplyDeleteI hate going under the knife.
i'm gonna drive up friday night and get all hooked up. Finding it harder to find time to post on the HABOTN, been a very busy summer and off season so far.
ReplyDeleteMy friend, my friend, he's got a knife.
ReplyDeleteSensi - I hyperextended my knee one time and sprained my mcl. It hurt pretty bad, but I was able to run on it again after about a month.
ReplyDeleteIf you tore it, I think it means surgery, but the mcl surgery is not nearly as serious as the acl one.
BinOBA,
ReplyDeleteI am planning a party at our new condo, directly across the street from Lowder on Magnolia. We will have breakfast before the game and then grill out or something after the game. We will tailgate on the lawn in front of the condo. Would love for you to come by - and anyone else who is around.
This is provided everything goes according to my plan and we close on Wed or Thurs next week. I wish everyone moved according to my schedule.
If I completely tore it, my knee would fold inwards, right?
ReplyDeleteIt's not doing that, so I think I'm in the clear there.
I hope so at least.
Sensi,
ReplyDeleteIf you can't recall a specific time you injured it, it is probably just a sprain. Rest, ice and Anaprox should do the trick. Hopefully doc can tell you tomorrow.
Good deal, Cincy. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteWe should have an "Ask Doctor Cincy" time on the HABOTN. Except that Cincy isn't a doctor.
ReplyDeleteWe can play, ask Nurse Cincy. That sounds sexier anyway :)
ReplyDeleteTwo thumbs to that idea! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI am mainly posting just to show off my new short-term avatar. However, I think Cincy needs a "Nurse Cincy" avatar now.
ReplyDeleteMom's are nurses without pay
ReplyDeleteMom's know best!!
Wow, a reference to the Greatest Pitcher That Never Was.
ReplyDeleteWell played, JGT.
Hello from Ooltewah. I'm on the home stretch now.
ReplyDeleteAsk Nurse Cincy - yeah that'll do!!!
ReplyDeleteScott Choc,
ReplyDeleteLove the avatar. Can you make that into candy?
Cincy, I'm sure we could!
ReplyDeleteGo Owls Eddie!!
ReplyDeleteI just received a text update that CB Harry Adams was dismissed from the team.
ReplyDeleteHave any of you heard this?
D & b now confirm this though they are a radio show. I will wait for confirm by Jay G.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. Allegedly, it was for a violation of team rules and is not a suspension, but a dismissal.
Goodbye Harry Adams, we hardly knew ya.
ReplyDeleteP. Marshall is confirming it as well, and it's a dismissal, not a suspension.
ReplyDeleteSensi,
ReplyDeleteThe best therapy for an injury is to inject steroids directly into the injury.
Seriously, knee injuries suck. I had a partial tear on my patella tendon once. Never fun. Hopefully yours isn't too bad.
Still, juice, lots of juice injected directly into the knee.
Sensi, I recommend that you inject Kool-Aid.
ReplyDeletehooray for increasing losses to defensive depth!
ReplyDeleteHarry, what gives homes? geez.
Geez Scottie, he broke team rules. Is that not a good enough description.
ReplyDeleteHow nervous was P Marsh when pushing the "submit" button on this dismissal story?
ReplyDeleteIsn't Harry the guy everyone claims is really really fast?
ReplyDeleteHA was in the FAH club.
ReplyDeleteNote to recruits:
ReplyDeleteCome to Auburn for playing time and most any jersey number you would like. Plenty of both available.
I read something the other day where Alabama now had three guys wearing #10.
ReplyDeleteTalk about oversigning.
ESPN still goofs and gives Wes Byrum the stats for Kodi Burns after Burns runs a play.
ReplyDeleteSo, that's 25 players on defense now that'll dress?
ReplyDeleteGreat.
Reputable Print Resource now confirms H Adams' dismissal as well.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Harry Adams dismissal was the breaking news that Finebaum was going to expose.
ReplyDeleteBased on vicious rumors blowing, does anyone think this is drug related.
I have to believe he had a major screw up to get dismissed and not suspended.
Chisik is a class act; but, also one that would give a kid a second chance if he thought the situation warranted it.
Harry Adams was Tommy Tuberville's mole. We'll hear all about it on Finebaum.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait
ReplyDeleteToo bad about Adams. Bad timing... Any kid with his speed has promise.
ReplyDeleteAU has had few dismissals until this past year. Is that just an ugly coincidence?... a clash of personalities with the new staff?, or stricter standards?
The guys that were dismissed this summer and Adams were at AU for 2 full years seemingly without any issues and now.....issues.
"stricter standards"
ReplyDeleteVery fair assessment. From everything I've heard, that is true.
Hoopie, there's generally some attrition with any new coaching staff. I think Chiz has done it the right way, whereas Kiffin up in Knoxville has run off players almost to spite them (QB B.J. Coleman comes to mind).
ReplyDeleteYou wanted to know what sort of "issues" Blackmon has in his life? Check out his latest episode. Knife in hand and agenda in mind...
