Taking stock, 11/11

Hey everyone. Hello again and welcome to our (semi) weekly stock report, which is a light-hearted look at what's happening with Auburn's football program. The Furman game was at least somewhat entertaining, for reasons we'll discuss below, and that means we have some market movement.

I hope you sold PPL before it was de-listed.

UB Eric Smith: That's U.B. for utility back. He has been a subtle-yet-substantive element of the Tigers' attack this season. Smith, aka Piston Hurricane (from "Punch-Out" fame), has been a beast on third down as a receiver. He also showed surprising quickness as a tailback last week, though maybe Furman had something to do with that.

KR Philip Pierre-Louis: Surely that's a wrap, right? He initially was scared of the ball against Furman, then decided to field a punt while running backward. He fumbled. The Paladins recovered. PPL also had a negative return. Think Worldcom with this stock: Here today, gone tomorrow.

WR D'Angelo Benton: His stock was dropping last week after all but disappearing from the Tigers' enterprise, but he caught six balls against Furman. And he looked good doing it. Was it all a mirage? Benton surely didn't think so, proclaiming afterward that he will become an offensive fixture before long. I'm not sure about that, but I'm certain Benton has some skills.

LB Adam Herring: The guy must be cursed. He's useless last season, endures painful surgery during the offseason, falls into a plum role earlier this season and now he's again injured. Gene Chizik said it's the same problem, too. Auburn desperately needs Herring as (at the very least) a fall-back option in case of injury. That apparently won't happen. Chizik said freshman Jonathan Evans is the No. 4 guy right now.

S Demond Washington: He has closing speed and can become fearless when needed. Say that for him. With Zac Etheridge out for the season, Washington, a cornerback by trade, has made the move to strong safety and looked good against Furman. Yeah, it was Furman. I was impressed with Washington's acceleration and direct approach toward tackling. Georgia will find ways to test him this weekend, but he may be up for the big challenges. He has a lot of guile -- and some skill.

WR Travante Stallworth: He was knocked from the Furman game with what looked like a knee injury and, honestly, things don't look good. Chizik, as always, was evasive when asked about the freshman's status. Anecdotal information suggests Stallworth is headed for surgery, which robs Auburn of another up-and-coming playmaker. I think he has star potential, though some people I trust think he'll settle in as an average wideout. We shall see.

  4. like clockwork. I go pee, new thread.

    ReplyDelete
  5. maybe you just pee too much.

    ReplyDelete
  6. There are a lot of Shawn Kemp kids, right?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Washington should have three up arrows...it's risen to the point of being marginally overvalued

    ReplyDelete
  8. I wanted PPL to excel sooo much.. its a shame.. I hope he can do a reverse stock split and get back into the trade.

    ReplyDelete
  9. probably true, PF. But hydration keeps the headaches away.

JayGT - great stock tips. That really stinks about Stallworth. I agree with you on his star potential...at least until he got hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  10. hate it for PPL...he was a rising stock last year now who knows...

    are there more shawn kemps?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Headaches are what makes life interesting. Brings me down a notch and levels the playing field for the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I just retro-posted the stuff about MAN CHILD JR and the other guys who signed basketball scholarships.

    ReplyDelete
  13. THT...thought that was only a female problem!

    ReplyDelete
  14. they give scholarships for basketball?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nice work Jay G.

So much for PPL. I had high hopes. Oh well.

    ReplyDelete
  16. WEG - I'm not even going to talk about my PMS.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Shawn Kemp Sr. could bring the pain to the rim on a dunk.

    Jay G.

Where would you rate the stock of Chris Todd at this point? Three weeks ago he seemed to be closing in on junk bond status.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I posted this too late in the other thread.

I don't even want to consider the option of having a senior class who never defeated Georgia.

    ReplyDelete
  19. BTW...I HATE GEORGIA!

    Agreed RK.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My most credible source has Kemp at 7 kids (all illegitimate) with 6 women as of '98. No later info available.

    ReplyDelete
  21. More power to you, Eddie. I've never been able to hate UGA, probably due to the AU connection with Shug, Vince, Erk, et al. Every calorie, joule, erg, etc. of my hate energy is directed squarely at UA-T. I don't think FSJ can even fathom the joy it would bring me if UA-T would set a NCAA losing streak record.... ok, back to the real world :-(

    ReplyDelete
  22. I love these stock posts.

I have sold all my PPL and traded it for Gully Tech.

A listing for FAH would be nice. I understand he has a high ankle sprain, which ain't good. Sometimes those seem to linger throughout a season.

    ReplyDelete
  23. THT I second that emotion.

Though I'll say that having lived in Georgia now for almost five years, I still can't muster up the same level of hatred towards them. My UGA fan friends are all actual graduates of the school and for the most part level-headed and reasonable folks. Since I don't listen to local sports talk, I don't hear the bunch of clowns I'm sure are out there calling in about the dawgs.

So, my hate remains squarely focused on UAT.

    Keep Hate Alive.

    ReplyDelete
  24. How about a Jeff Lebo stock report.

    ReplyDelete
  25. you may want to add that Norm's stock is back on the rise. even with one eye he's brining it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Auburn must be a destination for the spawn of prolific progenitors -- Evander Holyfield, now Shawn Kemp.

    Who's next? David Palmer, Jr.

    ReplyDelete
  27. it must be Amen Corner. i've been in a foul mood for the past 3 days.

    gggggrrrrrrrr......BEAT JAWGA.

    ReplyDelete
  28. If UAT is Hate Level 5, then UGA is a Hate Level 3.

    ReplyDelete
  29. we lived in jawja for 8 years and there was never even a nanosecond where I considered shifting even the tiniest bit of my unparalleled UA-T hatred towards those vulgar dawgs.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Look, our team is not thinking about beating bama this week, it's thinking about beating georgia. If they can shift focus, we can shift hate focus as well. Pick it up people!!! Hate Georgia. Hate Bama more, but Hate Georgia also :)!!!!

You know, I don't know one single georgia graduate but I know a lot of georgia fans. That may be my problem.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't just hate UA-T, I abhor, abominate, allergic to, anathematize, be disgusted with, be hostile to, be loath, be reluctant, be repelled by, be sick of, be sorry, bear a grudge against, can't stand, contemn, curse, deprecate, deride, despise, detest, disapprove, disdain, disfavor, disparage, down on, execrate, feel malice to, have an aversion to, have enough of, have no use for, loathe, look down on, nauseate, not care for, object to, recoil from, scorn, shudder at, shun, spit upon, spurn UA-T. Period.

    GO TIGERS!!!
    BURN THE bulldogs!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. THT - what's your point? what are you trying to say?

    ReplyDelete
  33. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  34. yeah, you may need to clarify that a bit more THT.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Norm - ok, so I didn't make it clear when I tried to make it clear. So let's try once more.

I hate UA-T about half as much as MrsTHT and THTjr each hate UA-T. But I try.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Norm...
How's that depth perception thing working out for you?

    ReplyDelete
  37. So I guess you tend to paraphrase the song by Spiral Staircase (and covered by a few others).

    ReplyDelete
  38. What depth perception? I have none. Try to convince a soon to be 3 y/o boy of that when he constantly wants to surprise me with a game of catch. I'm fighting a losing battle there.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't know what a Spiral Staircase (proper noun) is. And I didn't paraphrase anyone. I plagiarized directly from thesaurus.reference.com.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm back to work for a while.

WARRRRRRR EAGLE!!!! to all the Hotties!

    ReplyDelete
  41. lol at ehyou's avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  42. THT I'm a bit disappointed. I thought for sure you'd know that reference. So to refresh your memory:

    Spiral Staircase

I still be you tend to paraphrase that.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think Norm's depth perception is about the same as all of ours. We all see that we have very little depth.

    ReplyDelete
  44. oh yes, I remember that crappy song.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hmmm, as you know, I don't hate. In terms of teams I dislike, UGA isn't close to Alabama. Actually, UGA isn't bad. LSU and UT bother me more. Both seem to have a similar sense of entitlement. Florida would also probably be higher on the dislike meter. I have always considered Auburn and Georgia closely tied together.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Chris Todd's stock is up, but it's not skyrocketing just yet.

Whittling Furman's secondary isn't a career achievement. Plus, and maybe it's just me, but Todd seems to be throwing with a different motion now.

I see more shoulder being used. Like he's turning that shoulder over when he throws. Maybe it's just beat-hack myopia.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree shredding Furman isn't anything to brag about, but he's looked better the past two games.

However almost anything is better compared to the Ark-KY-LSU trio of games.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Someone needs to buy stock in Chris Todd right now, because just discussing his stock has destroyed this thread...imagine what it would do to a defense.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Buy! Sell! Buy! Sell!

Jay, I am disappointed in your Taking Stock post this week. I don't disagree with any of them.

As a reminder, though, PPL is a redshirt freshman coming off a knee injury. Let's not close the book on him yet. I would buy his stock since it is low at this time with the anticipation that he will be a contributor somewhere by the time he is a senior.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Buy PPL as a tax write off.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Jay, is TZach WR hurt? I did not see him on the field Saturday, or did I miss something?
Since there has been no mention of him in the paper or anywhere else I was just wondering.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I've been living in Jawga for 6 years now. I still get way more grief from the few but loud bammers around here than the UGA crowd. Most of the UGA fans I know are also grads. One friend(and I can't use that word w/bammers) actually played there.

Having said that, I can tell you that while Auburn folk think of UGA as a cousins, UGA thinks of Auburn folk as poor relations. They still can't understand why we have the lead in the series record. It confounds them. To UGA, Auburn is just somebody else on their schedule they don't want to lose to, but not necessarily somebody they have to beat.

    ReplyDelete
  53. As Eddie and E-bro can probably attest, living in Chattanooga I am stuck in an area of UGA, UT & Bama fans who might not have even went to high school, much less the college they support.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Beat Georgia!

    War Damn Eagle!

    ReplyDelete
  55. A little good has come out of Athens, but not much.

    Here's one ...

    ReplyDelete
  56. RK...indeed.

We're stuck in SEC Purgatory in the Noog. Pretty healthy dose all the way around of UT, Bama, Auburn, and UGA fans.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Good thing the UAT Cousin Humpers don't view us as cousins.

    Just sayin'.

    ReplyDelete
  59. yup, this thread is about as dead as PPL's punt return career.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I SHALL MAKE IT ALIVE!!

  61. Anybody know the going rate for IB tix at this point? My brother-in-law is interested in buying a single.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I depart tomorrow for ol Oxford, pray for me

    ReplyDelete
  63. good luck Jhag. hey, u planning on going down to Tallahassee for the AU basketball game? i'm trying to talk the wife into it to visit my sis down there.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Just looked on B'ham craigslist for IB tix...$225 - $250 each on there. That's probably beyond my brother-in-law's budget. If anybody hears of any cheaper, please shoot me an e-mail. It will get another AU fan into the stadium!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have basketball of my own at that time man...I think I'm saving the Tallahasse trip for when they play UNC or Duke

    ReplyDelete
  66. there's some on Stubhub for $195...

there's a student ticket coming up on Ebay in 4 hours that has no bids. $115 right now.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Can anybody get in on a student ticket, or do you have to have an ID? I've seen student tickets in the $100 range.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Usually what happens, SC, is that the student will "loan" you the id for the weekend. Most make you pay a $30 deposit so that they can replace it if you don't get it back to them.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Thanks, PF. Sounds like the age-old procedure is still in place.

JG ....Todd has seemed to shoulder-launch his passes since the breakdown started. That being said, he has better velocity and accuracy now than the Arky and Ky games.

    Buy low -- Sell High

Ben Tate and AC -stock is very high and they only have 3 games left. Good time to sell.

PPL ...buy this penny stock. there's nothing to lose.

Benton ...possible bargain, but I won't buy for personal reasons ...don't like hyped stocks. I'll buy a very cheap EBlake stock on a hunch instead.

DWashington & ESmith ....although price has risen, there is still good long-term growth potential.

Byrum ...consistent performer ...relatively inexpensive, conservative addition to the portfolio.

    ReplyDelete
  72. So when Florida and Alabama play in the SEC Title game, which team will the refs favor? I'll bet they will be pretty confused about everything.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Anonymous5:45 PM

I spent almost twice as long at UGA as I did at AU getting it piled high and deep. It's a good school and a nice campus. Athens is a good place to live.

    I don't hate UGA, I just don't love it. I love Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous5:45 PM

Phillip Marshall and Tony Barnhart each have written articles asking why SEC coaches can't comment on Ref mistakes as long as they don't question ethics.

What happens if it's a close game late in the IB and UAT gets another gratuitous call?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'll bet it would have to be pretty bad for Gene Chizik to say something and get fined. He doesn't exactly seem like the type to draw attention to himself, does he?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous5:58 PM

I have an old Tiger Rags t-shirt that has Aubie holding a rolled up newspaper and glaring at a shame faced bulldog standing by a yellow puddle. The title was "Rub their noses in it."

I used to wear that to the lab and class (at UGA) the friday before the AU-UGA game. The grad students didn't care and the undergrads weren't willing to argue with a TA who had say in their grade.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Saban loves the Refs. He proclaimed his love for them at his press conference. Any chance he was in step 1 of begging for the calls to go his way in the SEC CG? Step 2 is the $$$$& payments.

    ReplyDelete
  78. 38 years later, he still holds Auburn records for

  85. I've let Mr. Beasley down the past week. I was not to be denied on Veteran's Day.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hate Bama!

    Mike Vick the Bulldogs!

    ReplyDelete
  88. It was posted last night that Saban wants to build a winner and not be a caretaker of one. I'm thinking Saban might want to look at going to Memphis. almost anyone can build a winner at UA. It takes someone special to build a winner at Memphis. If he had any umph in him, he would leave UA and go to Memphis. Maybe they can pay him with FedEx stock. He doesn't need the money.

    ReplyDelete
  89. and I can't believe how good that lasagna was. I swear it's been in the fridge for weeks. Tasted every bit as good as the first go round (which was so far back in October, I can't recall)

    ReplyDelete
  90. WTC- lol. Memphis would be perfect for him. Hell
, they would probably rename the stadium and field after him before his first game.

    ReplyDelete
  91. BIG CAT! How you doing?!

Hey wtc - that's a great idea. Now we just need to convince Satan.

I think I'll go for the shrimp linguine looking stuff next. The leftover pork tenderloin would be deelish, but it has a marinate of which I'm not overly fond. Then there's the large container of "substance." No it's not HABOTN substance. It looks like 70% gravy and 30% unidentified material. I'll ask MrsTHT what on earth it is when/if she gets home from work. The linguine is calling.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  98. snort. FB notifications on the habotn!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Jet - any chance the Band Director will yank the redshirt off the freshman trombone player? There's a noticeable lack of depth at trombone, and that 4* might just be able to help out.

    ReplyDelete
  100. One of my travel mates had to back out this weekend, so I have an extra ticket for the Auburn/Georgia game if anyone is interested (Facevalue $60), Section 609. I'll only sell to Auburn fans!!!

  112. Sorry to have missed all the stock talk today. But forget all the fundamental analysis we've seen so far; its the technical analysis that suddenly looks great for us and all but guarantees a 9-3 season.

Here's my latest TA on Auburn: Remember, TA focuses on nothing but the numbers. So we start out with 37 points, established a good, solid base after the IPO. Then score 49 the next week to confirm a wonderful uptrend. Drop back to 41 against WV; that wasn't bad at all; just a normal correction. Showed tremendous support that it didn't go back to 37. Then the 51 against Ball State further confirmed that this was a stock on which to back up the truck.

The week before the TN game, I said we needed to score around 42. That would confirm the support in the low 40s, and point toward a stock price in the 80s by the end of the season. Unfortunately, we only scored 26. I was happy to win, but was devastated that we broke all support, crashed thru 37, and were now confirmed as a down trending stock. I said that I hoped that applying TA to football teams didn't work.

Unfortunately, it does. The charts don't lie, and we put up a measly 23 on ARK, confirming that we were headed lower. 14 against KY proved us to be a dog stock; 10 against LSU said we were likely finished and headed toward 0.

But then an amazing thing happened! The buyers stepped up and ran us all the way back to 33 against MS! This just shows the pent-up energy that was there all along, just waiting for a discernible bottom, and the LSU game was it. The uptrend needed to be confirmed - it was to the tune of 63 points!

Our stock has now officially gone parabolic, and we are about to see a moonshot! I think that we score high 60s against GA and at least low 70s against the evil empire. The 80s are not out of the question.

Just remember this - the charts never lie.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted everyone to understand where we are headed so you can prepare. We are going to the moon! ALL ABOARD!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Coosa, you just reminded me why I didn't make it as a finance major

    ReplyDelete
  118. Coosa, you know manipulating a market constitutes an SEC rules violation, right?

    ReplyDelete
  119. I only say that because you didn't factor in volume in your charts. Looking at the landscape at the ends of the 10 and 63, and I saw very low volume. That tells me that a couple of people were driving the price down low midmonth, only to buy a few shares really high at month close so that their statements show a very overvalued stock. Hedge funds have been known to do this with pink-slip shells in order to show a large profit, collect management fees, and pray they don't fail before the end of the next period. Red flag in my book.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Wakerider, you shoulda stuck with it. But still not too late to get rich off this one stock. This is the best opportunity since Healthsouth traded at .08. I'll admit I didn't buy until it rose to .12, but I sold all my shares over $5, so it worked out ok.

Peter, no sec rules problems here at all. Everything is public knowledge; you can read the scores on espn. A valid point on volume; attendance was really only around 70,000 at the MS game, but I've heard it was up for homecoming.

The thing I'm most concerned about now is that we are gonna put so many points up on uat that it will knock them out of a BCS bowl when they lose to Fl. The means that uat will go to the Capital One Bowl and we'll have to take the Outback. If we only put up 40 or so on them, then they could still go to the Sugar Bowl and we'd get the Capital One. Oh well.

Just remember this - the charts do not lie.

    A good evening to all.

    ReplyDelete
  121. you bought Healthsouth at .12 and sold at 5? Holy Return, Batman!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Don't worry about that 'market manipulation' charge, Coosa.

Since PF said it was an SEC violation, that means the refs probably missed it.

And I don't think insider trading is a reviewable penalty anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  123. true that. Don't trust anything with those initials to have any freakin clue what's going on past their own narrow agenda.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Good morning everyone. I'll be away most of the day today so I hope everyone in HABOTN land is doing well.

This is a quote from JGT Early in the thread yesterday (that I missed)...

"Chris Todd's stock is up, but it's not skyrocketing just yet.

Whittling Furman's secondary isn't a career achievement. Plus, and maybe it's just me, but Todd seems to be throwing with a different motion now.

I watched the AU review and thought Todd's arm motion was different too - more Over The Top (ie Farve) and seemed to have a nice bit of ZIP on it. Really turning his hips/shoulder into the throws.

Ya'll may have discussed this further deeper in the thread - I was just too lazy to find it this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Good to see the return of Coosa Gekko.

The band is loading up shortly for hopefully its initial performance at Peyton's Place (Lucas Oil Stadium).

RK, you got it. One of the true joys of the 2000s was getting to know my dad on a different level. I wish every man could.

Burn the Bulldogs. Get your HATE ready.

  130. Finally- I see where Hawthorne is now going to be splitting time with Trott this week at the slot WR position. I think this is a good thing for us. I could be wrong, but I really like a WR in that spot more than a TE.

  135. just heard that Jhag. hahahaha. go Vols.

    ReplyDelete
  136. jhag- Well, I can't wait to hear what Meyer says about this, especially since Kiffen was bragging on signing day about signing Richardson. You can change coaches, but apparently somethings remain the same at UT.

I wonder when Commish. Slive is going to start fining and suspending coaches for ripping on each other.

  139. WERK,

Thoughts and prayers for your Dad. I went through a similar ordeal with my dad many, many years ago. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I was with him through his chemo. He survived to live another almost 2 decades and died of another problem rather than the cancer. I put it all in God's hand at the time and he did the rest. I can think of no better place to put your challenges and problems in life. Keep the faith and War Eagle.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Yeah this started the original rift between Meyer and Kiffin when Kiffin "stole" Nukeese from UF
    *pun intended*

    ReplyDelete
  141. Meyer: See, Nukeese. I told you you'd fit in with m team. I bet none of your TN teammates told you how to survive jail. We've got a handbook in the locker room.

  142. Any of yall hearing some crap where Auburn fans (student section im guessing) are going to all have yellow flags for the Alabama game and throw them when the refs make a bad call? theres a bunch of facebook groups about it and such
I say this is sorta classless..I donno what to think yet
I tend to think it will make us look like crybabies when Bama is more than likely winning

    ReplyDelete
  143. Prayers sent, WERK; sure hope your father does well today.

Good morning to all. I'm having trouble finding the stock symbol for Auburn football. I thought it would be AU, but that's a gold stock. I'm ready to put my life's savings into it, but gotta find the symbol first.

    ReplyDelete
  144. claseless? maybe.

A funny way to make a statement about an obvious front office consipiracy? You betca...just as long as they don't throw them on the field. That'll get you ejected and a 15 yard penalty.

    ReplyDelete
  145. drive by HATE!!!!!!!

    BEAT GEORGIA!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Putting your life savings into AU isn't a bad thing right now. Probably a modest short-term return at this point. I think gold in nearing a sell point, though.

I was stupid and sold my gold at $550/ounce. I had two one ounce coins that I had inherited when it was a little of $400/ounce. I felt pretty happy about it, since I had seen some pretty hefty loses on it through the late 90s/early 2000s. Unfortunately, it spiked up to 700 a month or two later and now trades at over 1100/ounce.

  148. Have fun, Jhag.

You're a week too late to be able to chant "and the South will rise again." No longer allowed there.\

  150. Well, apparently it isn't that hard to get into UT these days if you are an athlete. Common sense is not required.

  151. Scottie, don't leave out

    -semiautomatic handgun.

What's the law there on committing crimes with guns? In Florida, that's 10 years minimum on top of the robbery charge if convicted. He should still have eligibility through 2022.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I wonder if Urban Meyer sent a text to NuKeese and told him to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Wow. These idiots robbed college kids who had exactly ZERO dollars on them.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Urban Meyer just used the force of the Dark Side to command them to do it. He has that kind of power. He is Darth Vadar and Saban is the Darth Sith Lord.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Well, at least we won't have to listen to Rocky Top any more. From now on they will play "Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do, watch you gonna do when they come for you...".

  164. I simply cannot believe the stuff about Nukeese Richardson.

A college athlete pulling an armed robbery? I can't wait to hear the back story on this one.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I love that this is the most recent story about Richardson on the Tennessee Scout site:

  166. Come now, Jay. You've never robbed a guy at gunpoint? College kids being college kids, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Something tells me there could be a new story soon ... and it'll have a new thesis.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I playfully carried an AK-47 w/red-dot sight across the Transylvania U. campus in 1992, but I didn't aim it at anyone.

    That's totally different.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Whoa whoa whoa. Nobody said they "pointed" the pellet gun at anyone. The could have been playfully carrying it around, too.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Well, Auburn did have a player that robbed the pizza delivery guy delivering his pizza to his dorm room. That's pretty bad.

    ReplyDelete
  171. My thoughts and prayers go out to WERK's father.
Slick Kiffin will put a spin on this one that will make the champeen Top roller look like a two year old.

  172. there's actually a story in the Knoxville paper today about Janzen Jackson and how he has straightened himself out after being suspended for a game ealier this year. perfect timing, eh? :) not so much!

Michael Oher had every excuse to turn out bad.

Nukeese Richardson had every reason to not turn out bad.

Michael O was an humble kid that, with his adopted parent's guidance, remained humble.

Nukeese was a 5 star ego waiting for disaster.

Trying to recruit 5 star athletes? Make sure they don't have 5 star egos.
