This is my first Thanksgiving without my dear grandmother who lost a nearly two year battle with cancer this past May. Thanksgiving was "her" holiday. She loved doing the vast majority of the cooking for the family. I can still see her in the kitchen mixing up the dressing...She continued to do so right up until last Thanksgiving when she wasn't able....but she was there to give instruction. She's one of maybe two people that I talked to every single day...I still miss her terribly.

I hate to hear that. We had to go through the same thing last holiday season as one of my brothers died last August. It's always tough, but my sympathies are with you.

As far as cancer goes, it's just the worst thing possible. Dealing with it with my dad over the past two years has been rough, so I know how difficult it can be.
