McCalebb's numbers tell the story

Hey everyone. Merry Christmas Eve to all you HOTTIES out there.

I'm doing a little work this evening amid the rain. Well, I'm not in the rain. I'd rather be in the snow ...

With rain falling around central Alabama, I am working on a little piece about your favorite rail-thin tailback. He wears No. 23. His name is Onterio.

So he plays the first four games of the season. He feels great.
LOU TECH, 22-148, 1 TD
MS STATE, 16-114, 1 TD
WEST VIR, 8-20, 0 TD
BALL STA, 8-83, 1 TD
---------------------
54-365, 6.75 ypc, 3 TDs

... then he gets hurt on a fake punt. It's his left ankle.
U. TENNE, 13-51, 0 TD
U. ARKAN, 6-23, 1 TD
U. KENTU, 7-22, 0 TD
LA STATE, 3-3, 0 TD
---------------------
29-99, 3.4 ypc, 1 TD

... then he sits out two games and regains his ability to cut.
U. GEORG, 11-60, 0 TD
U. ALABA, 5-23, 0 TD
---------------------
16-83, 5.18 ypc, 0 TD

SUMMARY:
A healthy McCalebb is a very good tailback.

Have a nice day.

  7. So 2.0's suitcase made a longer trip than 2.0. Maybe it traveled in the opposite direction from 2.0 and is just now getting to Philly from Hong Kong.

    Merry Christmas?

FAH should be in his start of season form for the Outback. If he is, NW is in trouble.

  24. Excellent, IV!

2.0 is still at the neighbor's house up the street. We just came back 'cause I need some beauty sleep to prepare for the next 2 days of pain.

May God bless you and your family, FSJ. And all the righteous Hotties, as well. ;-)

I'm going to crawl in bed and check up on the Hi wah yee bowl. I'm thinking it will put me to sleep quickly.

Turfman ...the chances of a true freshman displacing McCalebb aren't very high. Fans always get hyped about recruits, but true freshmen hardly ever take over.

  50. I am off to Troy to enjoy a Christmas feast with my wife's family, whats left of it. However, she has more family remaining than I do. This is our 41st Christmas together and I remember the first like it was yesterday. Money was a little tighter back then, but we got through it together and I hope as long as I am around, it will always be that way.

    Go Tigers, Hook'um Horns!!!

  51. IV - MrsTHT and I hope we never have another Christmas like our first. We had just announced our engagement. Started the morning with my family in Burlington. Presents & breakfast, then 140 mile drive to her family for presents & lunch. Then 135 miles to Marion, SC to her dad's family for dinner & presents, then 135 miles back to her family's house, another 15 miles to my "pseudo-sister" in Charlotte for presents and egg nog, then 130 miles back to my family's house, arriving about 1:30 a.m. We were young and didn't know any better.

  52. LUV -

Early in the morning factory whistle blows,
Man rises from bed and puts on his clothes,
Man takes his lunch, walks out in the morning light,
It’s the working, the working, just the working life.

    Yep, that's me.

  53. MERRY CHRISTMAS HOTTIES! Just talked to Mini-Me on the phone and that leaves me missing him A LOT. We had our Christmas this past weekend, but it's not the same, you know? Off to my sister's in a bit for lunch. For those of you on my FB page, check out my pics in mobile uploads for a current pic of AU's starting QB of 2023, Phred Jr. Man, the ladies are going to be all over that kid!

Anyways, hope you all have a fantastic Christmas! Love somebody today.

  54. Oh, and on a footballin' note, I don't think we get Newton. Just my gut feeling.

  57. Everyone is getting worked up over the delay on Cam Newton but dont worry. If Cam Newton came out of the Auburn visit with MSU still on his mind he would have signed there already. I think we get him...As for McCalebb, while he has talent, Dyer is a truely special player. If Lattimore comes in as well I would expect McCalebb to become a situational back. I would also expect for Aycock to be another option at Wildcat. Lattimore and Dyer would immediately take over the backfield.

    ReplyDelete
  58. one week from right now, AU will have a 2 TD lead early in the 2nd qtr.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I agree Jay...McCalebb is a VERY talented back. When he is at full strength, he is something else. Coupling him with the bruising style of Dyer will be awesome for the next couple years!

Merry Christmas and WDE to the AU Nation!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I hope Dyer is more like Pitt's 3* Dion Lewis than UT's 5* Bryce Brown, at least as far as freshman productivity.

  61. like water off a duck's back...

Kevin Carden of SCPlaybook.com reports the following:

"USC junior tailback Joe McKnight...who stayed in Los Angeles the past two days to aid USC’s compliance office in answering any questions surrounding his use of an SUV, was cleared to practice and rejoined his teammates in San Francisco."

  62. from FootballScoop.com, I'm guessing this is a typo, but it shouldn't be:

San Jose State: Our sources tell us head coach Mike MacIntyre has offered a position on his offensive staff to Lambuth University coach Huge Freeze.

from same web site on Tues (sorry if y'all have seen this already):

"Arizona State: Our sources tell us former NY Jets assistant Noel Mazzone will also interview for the OC position. Mazzone coached with Erickson at Oregon State in 2002" (and Tubs at Ole Miss & AU).
