Schedule update
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of posts here lately. I spent some time with the eye doctor on Monday, changed my eyeglass prescription and it took some time to see well sans headache.
I'm better now. Thanks for asking.
Auburn practices today beginning at 1:50 p.m. I'll be there. The best news for you? The first 30 minutes (allegedly) are open to Le Media, so you (allegedly) can expect a video around 3 p.m. That should be fun.
ALSO OF NOTE: Several unsigned prospects will be making significant announcements today. DL Craig Sanders and LB Jessel Curry are expectted to announce plans to enroll at Auburn in January. A few important junior-college players will make decisions today as well.
UPDATE ONE: Our friends at AuburnSports.com report that Craig Sanders, a DL from Ariton High, has signed with the Tigers. He'll enroll in January.
See you then.

I really would like to hit the Mosley trifecta. What's C.J. been saying about AU & UA-T?
wow, that was close. I almost Ziembad. I thought we were there already.
Eddins seems to be determined to be the starter next season too, and I think he has a decent shot. At least next season we won't be one injury away from a disaster.
If Bynes or Stevens had gotten injured this season, I think things would have gotten pretty ugly.
Has anyone heard anything positive in terms of C J Mosley? I thought him bound for the dark side.
I doubt very seriously we get CJ. Supposedly he has his mind made up and he wants to go to UA. Some family memebers like AU, but he was told (interviewed by the Mobile Paper I think) by Saban, on his last visit this past week, he would be the next Rolando McLain. I am not making this up, it was actually a quote from CJ. He is a very good HS player. Au would like to have him, but I just do not see it.
why settle for the next rolando when he could be the next TAKEO!
At this point, nothing would surprise me from this staff. The recruiting they have done this season has been very impressive.
The latest from Access Hollywood ...
English film "PF: I Love Flagpoles" expected to head Oscar field for Best Foreign Film.
Norm cited by NCAA for illegal recruiting tactics regarding 50 year old men.
WTC to enter rehab to deal with Moseley fetish.
I will try to find the link and post it here.
THT with the fetish. I just have the info. I don't follow recruiting but just stumbled across that stuff.
I must admit, I've thought since last year's NSD that Clint Moseley could be the next great AU QB.
But right now, I'm fixated on the single e Mosleys!
Thanks for your stumbling, wtc.
THT, I am wondering about Clint Moseley, too. Players from small schools are more likely to be undervalued in my opinion. I am glad we aren't going after another QB this year because I think we have caught or limit. Whether it be Rollison or Moseley, I think we are good at QB for a while as soon as someone gets some experience.
Given today's signees, I wonder if AU still pursuing Erick Mack from South Carolina.
Jet - I'm not recruiting him, I just know him. For that matter, so do you. So you leave me alone mister man.
Steve, Snacks, can I come to the flag pole and watch? I've got money on one of you. I want tell who at this point but I sure do like me some snacks in the afternoon.
I remember him ... I can't claim a friendship with him as I only went to school with him for a year, and was not close to him.
You've been recruiting him. Admit it. It's OK.
Norm to get a secondary violation by the NCAA?
I am sure if we can get Eric Mack, we will. Gayden is a JUCO so he won't be around a long time. Hopefully Eric Mack is the real deal. If I remember correctly, Leon Hart was a five star from South Carolina.
AU is heavily recruiting Eric Mack. Looking even better than before, which was already very good, since one of his recruiting coaches has moved on.
yes, Leon Hart was indeed a FIVE* recruit from SC. But so was Stephen Davis.
actually, I don't think they had stars back when Stephen Davis was recruited.
There are some players that you make room for. I think Eric Mack is that good from what I have read.
I know a lot of people don't get excited about linemen, but in my book they are really what matters the most. You can have all the stars you want in the backfield, but unless you have a good line, you will think the stars are underperforming. It is what I loved about Pat Dye. He had a lot of great linemen as well as some of the best big ugly linebackers we have had.
Look for Au to get a commit from a DB later today. He is a HS DB and will enroll this fall. He is on campus and if he likes it here, he will more than likely commit today. If not we go after the Rashad Knight kid from FL.
I wish I could have UA info just fall into my lap like wtc does with the AU stuff...
thanks for that info, wtc, but maybe we should wait to hear from someone who follows recruiting.
I will see if I can get a note from my mother confirming this stuff.
well, hopefully that's just further proof of what we already know... the stars are not infallible. AU coaches are after a 2* QB to turn him into a DB, rather than take a 3* DB. I trust the coaches a lot more than I do the *s.
Ah HA!
wtc comes clean. He doesn't follow recruiting because he doesn't have to. His mom is the recruiting sleuth!
re: QB turned DB. Maybe I'm on the wrong trail? Is this kid from B. Bowden's neighborhood?
THT, yessiree.
THT- I think the DB is slower than reported on these sites. AU feels the QB would be a very good DB.
I am not exactly sold on stars either. Five stars are supposedly good enough to start immediately. A lot of times that isn't the case.
I would take another two star Senderick Marks over a lot of players with higher stars.
The biggest thing is actually seeing who shows up in the fall. I have often been disappointed by signees that never actually step on the field.
I do think maturity level plays a big role here too. Some players are very athletic and can get by on pure talent in high school. It is the ones that will work their butt off in college that make it.
I'm gonna compile a book with everything Steve's written about stars. I'll have to black out a certain former coaches name through most of it, but it should still be a good read if you're planning on shooting yourself, but need extra courage.
I was going to compile a book of pointless posts by PF, but it became too lengthy.
that's front page material
Rusty Williams was from SC as well, no idea what his star level was though.
This just in, several book deals are being signed due to controversial situations on Jay G. Tate's HABOTN.
This place is right entertaining. Despite what a certain poster who seems to have mysteriously disappeared over the last week or so says about it being mean.
I'm gonna compile a book of SteveFC repeating himself, and use it as kindling for the poop bonfire that will soon be burning by his front door.
Where'd Carmela go, anyway. She was chummier than Tre Smith's "what up my n$&@^#s."
PF, God bless you and I do hope your surgery goes well.
Hey, I get here and the fight stops! Come on! I want to see some eye-gouging and ear-biting!
me, too. I can't wait to be a beautiful woman. Jan Terri's gonna be angry.
Most of you have probably seen this, but just in case you haven't...
I was laughing, clapping and getting all verklempt when I first saw it! I really need to do something about my neck...
AUsome Display!
This just in from Blogger Central...
JAYGTATE has been sighted in Vidalia, Georgia, anxiously awaiting the opportunity to live blog the college announcement of Roszell Gayden. Unfortunately, no one at the local college, Southeastern Technical College, has heard of Mr. Gayden, or even football, for that matter. Only then did JAYGTATE realize his Garmin had led him to Vidalia, and not Visalia. Not wanting the trip to be a total waste, JGT picked up a bunch of onions for his boss in the Gump.
Pretentiousness:
No longer just sold in Bammer.
Very cool, Luv. Thanks for sharing!
AUsome video Luv. Thanks.
No, really Luv, I liked it more.
those people need to find something better to do with their time, like lay around on the couch all day.
Hey, THT. New Thread Upz.
