      AUBURN 21, NORTHWESTERN 14

  • Northwestern fourth possession: TOUCHDOWN. Drake Dunnsmore 67 pass from Kafka. Demos PAT kick good. Drive covers 67 yards in 1 play. Dunnsmore broke tackles against Demond Washington and Walt McFadden. It was bad.

**I have to go downstairs for interviews.** I can't update this.

  1. It was a great play by the DB, but Kodi should never throw another pass at Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Big 3rd down. Crossing route.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Big stop there D, too bad Washington couldn't hold on to that one.

    ReplyDelete
  4. That NW QB is going to get them blown out.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Nice play Des...next time hang on.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Eddie, I have to agree about Burns. If it weren't for team chemistry, I don't think he would ever see the field.

It is wild how times change. I can remember when people worshiped Burns and hated Cox. It is hilarious to think about these days.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Demond has to hang onto that ball!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Anonymous12:15 PM

    Hopefully Malzahn agrees RK.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Good field position, stop being cute...also stop looking for Adams on every pass, someone else has got to be open.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Typical AU punt return, let it hit the grown and have the ref blow the play dead.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Good for the D. Again I say, let's score some points.

    ReplyDelete
  12. FSJ,

You always scare me when you show up and post good things about us.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Agree Eddie..... But they were athletic plays on both of those INT's. Just Run The Ball.....

    ReplyDelete
  14. API,

It's our best punt return option. Our other option is to stand under it, muff it and hope to recover it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Good job D or should I say a poor job by NW offense executing if I was the announcers.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Kodi is a great example of why you don't bet the farm on someone like Newton or Rollison. They may be great, but there are some high profile players coming out of high school that just don't make it in college.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Either we really miss Isom right now, or they aren't giving us the run at all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. RK, throwing to Adams on every play drives me nuts. It is way to predictable.

    ReplyDelete
  19. just flipping over to the Cap 1 bowl, that field is a mess, amazing how our crew keeps our field in great shape in tough conditions

    ReplyDelete
  20. I guess Adams is the only WR getting open?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow, complete to Adams. Who would have thunk he would have thrown it to him?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thank God for Darvin!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Completion to Adams? But it was 2nd down...

    ReplyDelete
  24. One way Todd scares me is he never really feels where the pressure is coming from.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Nice job of holding onto the ball, but he needed to chunk it. He held onto the ball too long.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Seriously, is Adams our only open receiver?

I'll be interested in hearing from someone at the game.

    Wasted opportunity there.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Captial One Bowl looks like our field.

Outside of maybe the Rose Bowl, AU has the best looking field of any in college football.

    ReplyDelete
  28. No call on hitting Durst on the punt.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous12:22 PM

How is that not a penalty may I ask?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bates is all over the refs about something NW is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Bad Call.... Not blocked into the punter... So You Can't Touch Him....

    ReplyDelete
  32. Good no call on the hit on the punter. Technically it was a penalty, but no harm, no foul. It is football. Man up.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous12:22 PM

    Imagine:

If we used other receivers...or if NW could cover him.

    Sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Int # 4

    Should be around # 6.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wow. Nice pass to Nieko! Kafka is great!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Capital One Bowl- ametuer field crew.

    Outback Bowl- NFL field crew.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thorpe was all over the guy. Don't know why the NW QB threw that one. That was worse than any pass Kodi has thrown.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous12:23 PM

Can the guys start talking about how well are DB's are playing now?

    Nah

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous12:23 PM

That's Ok, we got the ball back.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Has McFadden gotten back on the field?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Nice pick. Big-time work from the DBs today.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous12:24 PM

Eddie - I just flipped it and that field is crap!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I see where the NFL sees Coleman as a LB.

Almost all of our drafted DE's are NFL LB.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Trott's hands return.

    ReplyDelete
  45. There's the throw to Tommy.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anonymous12:26 PM

Ok, well that is why we only throw to Adams.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hey look... Trott dropped one.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I hope that wasn't an INT

    ReplyDelete
  49. Have you ever seen a guy that was praised so much for his hands drop so many balls?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Glad that hit the ground, looked like it hit a players foot in full speed.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous12:27 PM

Incomplete...but they may call fumble just cause

    ReplyDelete
  52. Looks like just a great play by NW. The helmet hit the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Why are they reviewing that?

    He obviously dropped it..

    ReplyDelete
  54. CHB,

Also, it's not like he's a good blocker.

Almost every WR screen we've ran this year, he's missed a block.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "If it is an interception it would go over to NW." Really????

    ReplyDelete
  56. man, I want to see the O score some points...put this thing away!

    ReplyDelete
  57. the espn guys are scared to make a call .. they do not want to be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  58. this wet field is killing us..

    ReplyDelete
  59. WERK, don't forget about the drive killing holds by Trott. I know I've seen him negate a number of first down gains with a hold.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Imagine Trott dropping a pass or Kodi not being able to throw the ball. Who would've thunk it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Well he spiked it in front of Adams, so at least it was thrown near Adams, making it the last 200 passes by Todd on 3rd down thrown to # 89.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Offense looks discombobulated

    ReplyDelete
  63. on another note, WVU is going to KILL FSU.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Anonymous12:29 PM

WVU is going to crush FSU

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anonymous12:29 PM

    Good call Jay

    ReplyDelete
  66. Our offense hasn't looked overly great today, especially in the 2nd half...now our D is being gashed again due to being on the field for about 70 plays so far today.

    ReplyDelete
  67. we should have at least 14 more pointd..

    ReplyDelete
  68. they are flipping the field....

    Go Coleman!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Have they called a penalty on NW other than that delay of game?

    ReplyDelete
  70. I agree AU1. They didn't do Bowden any favors giving him the Gator Bowl. That game is a mismatch.

    ReplyDelete
  71. what channel is FSU/WVU on?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Finally we are getting to their QB.

    ReplyDelete
  73. AC's hit made Mr. Kafka a little gun shy.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Unless we can get called for almost having a blow to the head, that announcer needs to shut up.

    ReplyDelete
  75. they are holding on every play. Their receivers hold on every play too.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous12:32 PM

    FSJ - CBS

    ReplyDelete
  77. I think the SEC has a lot of mis match bowls... if we get to .500 it will be a miracle...

Tenn should not have played VT

    ReplyDelete
  78. Muschamp DB defense there.

    ReplyDelete
  79. NW QB doesn't have much of an arm, IMO.

    Interference bailed him out there.

    ReplyDelete
  80. FSJ, WV is on CBS.

    ReplyDelete
  81. they call that but not hitting the punter

    ReplyDelete
  82. Not that it wasn't a correct call = but cheesy none the less

    ReplyDelete
  83. Good to see Walt back out there.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Walt McFadden sighting

    ReplyDelete
  85. How is that guy that open?

    ReplyDelete
  86. I make fun of his arm..and he promptly throws a 45 yard strike

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hood, that's when you are supposed to get a pass interference call...well if you are within 10 yards of the guy.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I hate to say it, but we're getting severely out played today.

    ReplyDelete
  89. We've left a ton of points that we may need on the board today.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Auburn needs to do something on offense now. They have let them hang around too long.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Offensive points. Offensive points.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Sorry... gotta find someone else other than Hood to play corner.

    ReplyDelete
  93. That sucks. Hood got burned.

    Now we need to score.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Q said that Hood's last 3 plays were.

    Pass interference

A play where he got blocked and the refs had to pull him away in frustration

    TD

Said Roof met him as he came to the sidelines.

    ReplyDelete
  95. We have wasted a lot of opportunities.

    ReplyDelete
  96. We have blown our right foot off, now we will star working on our left foot.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Offense we need you. We have no momentum right now.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The Roof, the Roof, the Roof is on fire!!!

    ReplyDelete
  99. We definitely need to get some momentum here. NW fans are fired up.

    ReplyDelete
  100. A NW score does not matter if we score...

    ReplyDelete
  101. AU players look frustrated.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Anonymous12:37 PM

    We need this.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Hey!!! Look!!! Zachery is playing today too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. A receiver other than 89 catching it.

We need to avoid the 3 and out here.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Get rid of the ball Todd..

    Run the ball too.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Anonymous12:37 PM

    Uh oh....

    ReplyDelete
  107. we're looking TERRIBLE on offense!!!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Todd never feels the pressure.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Terrible play by the WRs.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Throw the ball away... sheesh!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Dang gummit Todd!!! What have I told you about holding onto the ball too long. Throw it to your mom or a fat girlfriend in the stands, but don't hold onto it that long.

    ReplyDelete
  112. The announcers are getting giddy now. They want to see NW comeback. And they just might.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Unless their QB makes a mistake, we are about to be tied. Our D is tired and our O can't move the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  114. You've got one of the best backs in the league...let him run the ball on 3rd and 2.

    ReplyDelete
  115. WTH?

    I turned my head.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Anonymous12:39 PM

    That sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Anonymous12:39 PM

    Speechless.

    ReplyDelete
  118. What a 3rd qtr for NW.

    ReplyDelete
  119. McFadden has to be exhausted. He has been half of our defense.

    ReplyDelete
  120. That is the most embarrassing defense play of all season. We will lose this game.

    ReplyDelete
  121. FSJ shows up and praises us much like during many games this year and it all falls apart.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Auburn needs some type of drive...points or no.

    The defense is gassed.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I never want to see Auburn get up 14-0 ever again...

    ReplyDelete
  124. Can we please do something on offense? Please? just this once?

    ReplyDelete
  125. McFadden should have pushed him out of bounds instead of trying the tackle...however the play should have never gotten to him.

    ReplyDelete
  126. screw these announcers...they are TERRIBLE!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Don't blame this on me...

I'm as shocked as the rest of you.

    ReplyDelete
  128. They call Gus a genius, however even though our offense has been really good most of the year, I have yet to see anything from him as a playcaller all year long.

    ReplyDelete
  129. When we need to keep the D off the field on 3rd and 3 with Ben Tate in the game, we trust Todd to make a play...and if Adams isn't open Todd really doesn't know what to do.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I think we can understand our push to recruit corners.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Auburn needs to suck it up right it and play offense.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Exactly..and I think it was 3rd and 2. RUN THE BALL.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Time for the offense to remember this is a non-conference game, so we usually are a top level offense in those games.

    ReplyDelete
  134. NW has run 67 palys through 3 quarters.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I don't think I need to remind anyone here how bad a 4th qtr. team we are. KY, UGA, UAT...led all in the 4th...know how that turned out for us.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Without Walt's TD and setting up the other TD we have one offensive drive.

    ReplyDelete
  137. We've had good field position 3 times and two turnovers and a sack have killed those.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Only 1 more quarter of Auburn football remaining in this season, and I am not enjoying it.

    ReplyDelete
  139. WERK, don't forget Burns threw 2 INTs inside the 5.

    ReplyDelete
  140. That was almost a game ender.

    ReplyDelete
  141. they are killin me.....

    ReplyDelete
  142. Our defense is definitely gassed and it seems either Coleman, McFadden, or Bates has to make a play. Other than that, the rest aren't participating.

    ReplyDelete
  143. GIVE BEN TATE THE BALL

    ReplyDelete
  144. How many times does that play work?

    ReplyDelete
  145. BEN TATE IS STILL ON THE TEAM!!! How about use him?

    ReplyDelete
  146. wildcat? on 3rd and 1? are f'n kidding me?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Yeah FSU is gonna get it

    ReplyDelete
  148. By all means go for it, dang it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  149. This Kodi stuff is OLD!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  150. Good coverage by Adams.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Why are we not workin Tate?

    ReplyDelete
  152. Sorry, I'm no offensive coordinator, but unless Ben Tate is hurt, the last two 3rd down plays should be his ball.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Our 3rd down play calling all year has sucked. Why was Kodi in there on 3rd and 1

    ReplyDelete
  154. This is brutal to watch. No More Burns!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  155. This drive will determine the rest of the game.

We get a stop we can win, we give up a TD, it's probably over.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Anonymous12:48 PM

Is it bad that I am ok with that right now?

    ReplyDelete
  157. 85 yards in penalties for us, 10 for them.

    ReplyDelete
  158. The rule is you run a play until they stop it, not until it works. We continue to repeat plays that aren't working.

    ReplyDelete
  159. 2nd pick for Bell

    ReplyDelete
  160. At least their QB keeps throwing the ball to us sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Anonymous12:49 PM

    For what?

    ReplyDelete
  162. What did Fairley do?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Big 12 Officials again? Yep......

    ReplyDelete
  164. 100 yards in penalties for us...we've lost a field in mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  165. 5 interceptions and a tie ball game.... speaks volumes about the effectiveness of our offense.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Why was Fitzgerald so happy about that pick?

    ReplyDelete
  167. Give credit to the DB's and some pressure we have been brining. I hate when people just blame it on the QB. Just in the WV game the DBs have to be in the right spot and make a play.

    ReplyDelete
  168. How many penalties has NW had?

    ReplyDelete
  169. We go from the NW 45, to the our 40.

New outback bowl record with 5 ints.

    ReplyDelete
  170. The problems are more with our offense than anything else. It seems the defense has played about the entire game.

    ReplyDelete
  171. 9 penalties for 100 yards.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Kathy, 2 for 10 yards.

    ReplyDelete
  173. why don't these announcers just sign on as the NW Radio network next season? They are absolutely up NW's @$$ every second they get a chance. It's annoying as crap!

    ReplyDelete
