All we have are the embers
Hey everyone. In this spot was a Campfire.
Now it's just this.
Thanks to the HOTTIES who rolled wire to wire (or almost wire to wire) during our spontaneous campfire: THT, WEG, WTC, WTC's mom, Spongeworthy, Cincy, IV, LGGByron, wake, DMiller.
Man, USCe is write. Mack is just, I mean Lattimore is just leading us on. He will sign with us and play for 4 seasons, never revealing that he was actually a gamecock.
we definitely missed KeKe in that one and wasn't near 100% when she came in. This team has showed flashes of brilliance this year, I expect HUGE things out of them next year(and maybe in the coming week with UT and UGA back to back)
But on the Plus side, had a good day yesterday as I had to go to Columbus, GA.... On a whim I said What the Heck and made the 45 minute drive up to Auburn. Spent an hour walking around campus just taking it all in. That was my first time on campus in a number of years. As much as things have changed, some things remain the same. Walking around with the students took me back to when i was a student also. In a way, it felt like I had never left.. even some 25+ years later.
Hit all the the bookstores and made out with a bunch of cool Auburn swag.
Morning Hotties - for the first time this year, I expect to work less than 14 hours on a M - F. I'm certain of this because the F4* is having a birthday party this afternoon and I'd get in a bit of trouble if I missed it. He's a strong AU lean right now but it's a bit early for him to make a verbal commitment yet. I envision him as a future DB striking fear in all who oppose him.
Thanks, he'll be 3 on Monday but is equivalent in size to some 5 and 6 y/o's (the 6 y/o is a bit small). He's aggressive and strong and I hope I never seriously tick him off. He starts a sports program tomorrow and I'm pretty pumped about it.
Eddie - the program he starts tomorrow runs for a few months and teaches them some basics for football, baseball, basketball and yes, soccer. So; as I said the other night, unless and until he starts playing soccer, I'm not likely to have any interest in the sport overall. It wasn't played when I was a kid, you couldn't find soccer balls for sale in the stores, it just wasn't a factor. So don't anyone get me wrong, I have nothing against it, I just don't know anything about it and can't relate.
MTD - first choice of course would be AU. Since I believe that this is a practical world...well, we'll let the recruiting chips fall where they may. Whoever makes me the best offer.
I hope Norm is raising F4* right. My daughter at the age of 3 recognized the Georgia G as the mean G's and bama script A as the bad A. She hates both and promptly points them out. Of course this causes problems when we attend a Braves game or watch a Packers game on TV.
Eddie - worry and wonder about that no more. He's been to Athens a few times with some friends (UGA types) and even when prompted by some cute co-ed girls he stood his ground and gave them a War Eagle.
Norm- I was more curious due to the only thing I found for my daughter last year at age 3 for organized sports was soccer. That's cool that he is getting an overview of all those sports. Be patient....very patient. I was the head coach of the soccer team of 3 and 4 year olds and that was quite a task to get 6-8 kids at a time to do the same thing and keep their attention.
Awesome. My best friend grew up in Auburn and went to Auburn and his daughter, age 5, crushed him a few weeks ago. She told him she could no longer be an Auburn Fan and that she was now a Georgia Bulldog fan. She wanted him to buy her some ugay stuff, but he refused. She has now moved from Georgia to Florida. Hopefully she will fall back to Auburn, but she refuses to say War Eagle or pull for Auburn right now.
Good Morning Hotties! I was on the campfire last night but didn't have much to contribute to the gaming conversation. All I play is Mario!
Waiting for the vet to open. My golden is limping around today. Not putting much weight on her back leg. Hope this isn't the beginning of hip dysplasia. She is 7 yrs old.
Does anyone know when spring practice starts? I have not been able to find the date.
perhaps on HABOTN. I'm at a busy office today, normally doing the work of 2 offices, but I just learned that due to issues at a 3rd office, half of their work is also coming to me today. From this point forward I will be quite scarce on HABOTN. Y'all have a great day!
Cincy - I was largely absent from here yesterday but please know that you and yours got prayers from me. I can relate quite well I think, it stinks right now but in time things will turn out for the best.
Kathy and Cincy - good luck with the Golden's in your families. We have an 11+ y/o Golden who could've given the famous Marley a run for her $ when ours was a puppy. Ours has a number of medical issues and with the money we've spent over the years I could've probably bought a right nice car for my hot wife. But with that said, our Golden though she's been expensive and was the worst puppy I've ever had, she's without a doubt been the best dog I've ever had and there have been quite a few during my lifetime.
Eyou It has been over a year since I consciously read any post on AL.com. Why Bammers feel the need to comment on anything Auburn is beyond me. I don't think I have ever even been on the Bammer's site.
I am looking for some advice. Does anyone here have an MBA degree? I can get into one of the best business schools however it costs... a lot. Would the investment be worth it?
I wanted to work on my PhD but MBA sounds a little more tempting (better pay etc).
If so, what should I study in my spare time to help me get in and out?
First in the country

ReplyDeleteWEG,

Oh No!
ReplyDeleteVanderbilt wins, 61-60.
ReplyDelete61-60 vandy wins
ReplyDeletewe never took a shot
Probably not what they had drawn up at the end.
ReplyDeleteWell, pooey! Why didn't we shoot?
ReplyDeletecan't believe we lost that one....
ReplyDeleteWhat was wrong with KeKe?
ReplyDeleteGood night all...War Eagle!
ReplyDeleteCincy...Keke just threw the ball away when she had the ball down in the post.
ReplyDeleteI meant why was she out so much of the game? Was she hurt?
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry.
ReplyDeleteI was answering your question about why we didn't shoot.
I'm not sure what was wrong with her.
Thanks, E-Bro
ReplyDeletewell, rats.
ReplyDeletelet's all take some Abilify and get some sleep.
ReplyDeletesorry, it was a timely commercial.
Carrier was out with a hamstring injury.
ReplyDeletehope she has a quick recovery
ReplyDeleteI hope Conan will move to Fox, he's hilarious, random thought.
ReplyDeleteMan, USCe is write. Mack is just, I mean Lattimore is just leading us on. He will sign with us and play for 4 seasons, never revealing that he was actually a gamecock.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm biased here, but aside from home state ties, how would Lattimore pick South Carolina over us?
ReplyDeleteI might understand if he didn't want to compete with Dyer, but it sounds like they would complement each other more than anything.
Otherwise, South Carolina's M.O. doesn't exactly revolve around having a strong running attack, especially since Spurrier arrived.
I'm sure Spurrier wants to run the ball better than he has, but that hasn't happened up to this point.
we definitely missed KeKe in that one and wasn't near 100% when she came in. This team has showed flashes of brilliance this year, I expect HUGE things out of them next year(and maybe in the coming week with UT and UGA back to back)

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Hotties!
ReplyDeleteRise and shine!
It's another great day to be an Auburn Tiger!
WARRRRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
E-Bro,
ReplyDeleteI feel that way by most running backs. Just our tradition of RB's should make us a destination spot for them.
Good morning, Hotties! TGIF!!! I wanna go back to bed...
ReplyDeleteFearless, as much as I love the Lady Tigers, beating UT and UGA is a mighty tall order. Both are excellent teams.
Morning...yawn...off to work...
ReplyDeleteMan Hate I missed it....

ReplyDeleteTGIF Everyone!!
ReplyDeleteLogan- Sounds like a fun day was had.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday F4*!!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Hotties, and happy birthday to the F4*! How old is he now, Norm? How long will we have to wait for his decision?
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful morning in Montgomery.
Thanks, he'll be 3 on Monday but is equivalent in size to some 5 and 6 y/o's (the 6 y/o is a bit small). He's aggressive and strong and I hope I never seriously tick him off. He starts a sports program tomorrow and I'm pretty pumped about it.
ReplyDeleteNorm- Is he starting soccer?
ReplyDeleteNorm,
ReplyDeleteWhy would the F4* want to go anywhere else? I mean I understand keeping options open, but really, are there any other true options?
I think his only option is to go ahead and sign that LOI. Well maybe scribble that LOI.
ReplyDeleteEddie - the program he starts tomorrow runs for a few months and teaches them some basics for football, baseball, basketball and yes, soccer. Eddie, what a tragic story.
ReplyDeleteCool Eric Mack Article
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Hot Ones!
ReplyDeleteNorm, Happy birthday to the 4*. I didn't know anything about soccer either until my son starting playing. Now, I love it!
LT, Sounds like an absolutely wonderful day! We are going the last of February, but I may have to take a quick trip over before then.
Kathy, Hope your golden girl is ok. We are waiting to hear if my golden boy granddog has diabetes. He drinks and pees gallons! Hoping it is nothing.
I almost wasn't Eddie. I had to reboot the computer and log in. The pressure was unbearable ;-)
ReplyDeleteLucky for you it's a slow morning.
ReplyDeleteslow?

ReplyDeleteThanks, Norm, things are much brighter with the morning. God has certainly answered prayers for comfort.
ReplyDeleteGoldens are the best! We have had 4 over the years and they are just awesome dogs.
I was hanging out at AL.com complaining about all the bammers posting. Someone (wish I knew who) suggested I try HABOTN.
ReplyDeleteOne year ago today (I think)
Thanks JGT, this place rocks.
"Al.com comments section. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."

JKev,
ReplyDeleteIf you are checking in, someone needs to update the "Reserve Of Jackson" spot. Prestigious doesn't have a 2nd "r", much less a 3rd one.
Prestrigirous?
Aero,
ReplyDeleteSince it's been over a decade since I got my masters, I'm sure everything has changed.
The main thing I would say to focus on is your leadership skills.
The GMAT isn't that difficult if I remember correctly.
