Hey everyone. It's a new year, so it's time for us to revisit our list of the most esteemed HOTTIES.

It's a little something we like to call the Ring of Fire.

  3. Boy, the class of 2009 RoF is starting to look like some of Tubs' later recruiting classes. Attrition is hitting us.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yeah. Gotta keep it clean.

  5. Congrats to all adds and promotions.

  9. Thanks Jay, you are better to me than I deserve.

  10. Alan, you're really new. Right?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Weeeee !!!

Nothing like feeling some heat in this cold weather. Merci beaucoup. I'll remember the status the next time I'm freezing my tuckus off camping in the field.

I have come to terms with them winning the NC. It does not affect me. I thoroughly enjoyed Auburn's season and I love watching Auburn Football. Whatever happens on that side does not affect the quality of my life.

    ReplyDelete
  12. were any of those removed redshirt sophomores?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I am happy to be feeling the heat, it is warmer than being notable.

I am also happy I have very few bammer friends.

Great point Aero - I don't let it effect me like I used to, but it still effects me to a degree.

  15. My mouse has the heebie jeebies again. Must be this cold weather. Mice don't like cold weather. Neither do goats or puppets.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks for the addition and recognition JG !!!

  17. The sports radio here in LA say that Carroll to Seattle is a done deal, USC response to the rumor was,
    "Talk to the Seahawks"

wonder if this helps Auburn recruit Ronald Powell?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Carmela doesn't rate Notable Newcomer? Wait, I believe think I know the answer to that question. Or at least part of the Carmela equation.

    ReplyDelete
  19. sometimes you've got to make the tough decisions JG. keep up the peerless work.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I am betting Carmela made Norm's NN list.

  22. Wow, I'm astounded! I felt certain earlier today I would be tossed into the abyss, and instead I get a promotion. The HABOTN a truly great place. I accept my promotion with the utmost of humility, and promise to continue to fight for truth, justice, and the Auburn way.

Alan, don't give up hope. It took me over a year to make NN status, and now look at me - in the honored group of Feeling the Heat! I realize I'm not Ring of Fire material yet, but maybe someday if I work hard, who knows? Anything is possible for an Auburn man. ;)

Real substance coming on my next post.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Did we decide who Carmela was?

  24. Anonymous3:35 PM

Congrats to all that have been promoted and to those that have been added!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Alright! I knew my office was feeling warmer than usual. That may be bad for making chocolate on Monday, but good for taking the sting out of UAT's MNC today.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Wow....didn't know I could be removed from the HABOTN......guess I better get to participating more! Or does living in the Gump and buying the Advertiser give me some immunity?!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just read that link from last thread about the Coach's Trophy and fell on the floor laughing. I've never seen anything more appropriate in my life.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have an idea and it ain't some good looking chick. But me thinks Carmela knows Norm very well, say like maybe a so called buddy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Carmela was actually me all along.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anonymous3:38 PM

WEG - Oh yes, you can be removed. It is amazing the power of the JGT!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous3:39 PM

I thought she was a puppet, in 20 minutes?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anybody think we break UAT's 98 meet gymnastics winning streak tonight? To give you an idea of how long a streak that is, my aunt was on the last AU team to beat them, and she will be 51 this year.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous3:42 PM

Doesn't sound too good then does it Scott?

    ReplyDelete
  34. It was me. After saying that I am leaving I just couldn't resist and came back posing as a sultry seductive siren. This place is addicting.

I remember doing something similar for my crack addiction back in the day but the memories are a little hazy for some inexplicable reason.

    J/K.

Scott.. does your aunt have any eligibility left?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Go Tigers, beat Bama. War Eagle.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It took until 3:00 p.m. cst today for me to see the first bammer mobile decorated with fresh white shoe polish on windows/windshields (front and back)..

There was an abundance of RTRs and 13s...couldn't make it all out..

    ReplyDelete
  37. Congrats to all NN and FTH members!

Carroll to Seattle? I have a feeling the Pimp Hand of Destiny is about to hit USC.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous3:47 PM

Don't be surprised if nothing happens because USC makes so much mula for the NCAA

    ReplyDelete
  39. Nah, I think we're going to wait to break it when they're going for 100. Interestingly (or not), tonight my daughter's gymnastics team will be celebrating the state championship they won back in December. Their festivities will be going on at the same time as the AU/UAT meet, but I'll bet almost none of the girls on my daughter's team even realize it. I guess it's kind of like how most kids playing baseball these days don't keep up with MLB.

  40. A question for Jay - The Bammerham News has printed several gushing articles on the great value of The Pacific Institute to saban's process. According to at least 2 of the writers, this group uses "mind conditioning techniques" to help the players keep a positive attitude. Every word in every article has been nothing but positive. Well, Scarbinsky did refer to them as "brainwashing" one time, but he doesn't count. The program is mandatory for the players - this isn't like a FCA meeting.

It seems to me that an objective reporter would at least give a paragraph to the fact that The Pacific Institute is a very controversial organization, that is regarded as a new age group by almost every evangelical organization that monitors such matters. Their founder, Lou Tice, authored a book and started a program called "New Age Thinking." There are a great many people who want nothing to do with their "mind conditioning," "mind control," "brainwashing," or whatever you want to call it. Yet the Bammerham paper ignores all of this, and indeeds censors it when posted as a comment to one of their blogs.

Jay, do you not think it good journalism that these things should at least be mentioned?

Of course, saban wouldn't like it, so I suspect that is the reason they get a free pass.

I realize that there a lot of different views of the techniques that this group uses. If saban wants to use brainwashing techniques on his players, I suppose that's their business. I just don't understand how in a state in the Bible Belt, not a single reporter is willing to say a word against such a controversial program. And many of the preachers and others associated with the bammer program know that the group's techniques do not line up with what they are teaching, and yet there is nothing but silence about it.

By the way, The Pacific Institute has a program for elementary schools, and with all the positive publicity they are getting, look for it soon at a school near you.

    Ken Adams to LSU

    ReplyDelete
  42. Coosa, it's nothing to get too worked up about. They're just teaching all the Bammer players to say "specific" instead of "pacific".

    ReplyDelete
  43. I feel the Ken Adams boat sailed when Cam Newton signed.

    ReplyDelete
  44. WHEW! Glad to know I'm still safe.

I'm with you in spirit always. Just don't have th kind of time I used too.

WDE - HATE BAMA - COLT IS A WUSS

    ReplyDelete
  45. Anonymous3:55 PM

Seanzie - Agreed. He wasn't going to count to last yr and I think they wanted others that might have 4 yrs left.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anonymous3:57 PM

    Look for Lemonier then.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Me in the notable newcomers section? I'm not new. I've been reading HABOTN since near the beginning. I'm not particularly notable as a poster, but I am a world class lurker. But who am I to question the great JGT?

OK. Recognition accepted. Now, back to lurking.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm sure you are right, Scott. I'm not worked up over it, just trying to add a little substance. I suspect that if Chizik had brought the group in to work with Auburn, the articles would have taken a different slant.

By the way, if anybody wants to read some other views of them, put the following into any search engine:

"Pacific institute Lou Tice new age cult"

    You can read for hours.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Class of '10 here I come.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Also, the last time Alabama was called for holding was about 7 games ago or 38 quarters to be more specific.

I feel like their OL Coach should be on everyone in the NFL's wish list.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Coos: I'd approach that story with a different angle, but I'm not on that beat. Not sure what to say.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ken Adams=corndog which means our coaches know Lemonier is comeing...mark it down.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Congratulation to all the Newcomers and the Feeling the Heat hotties. Pete Carroll may be feeling a different heat.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think everyone in bammerham has been brainwashed. Can someone find me a job in the gump? I can't take it anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Regarding my new status...i'm honored, touched even.

Regarding Aero...when did you get back?

Regarding Pacific brainwashing...does it include course material on how not to smile?

    ReplyDelete

  57. I think when McCoy went out Nicky turned his back to the camera and snickered.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It's warm, he has a nice recruiting bubble, it's a major conference yet not really competitive. It'd be a good fit.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Jay G thanks for making me a NOTABLE NEWCOMER I will try not to let you down
And thank you to everyone who is on here day in and day keeping things going

  62. USF may be a good fit but until something happens at TT I don't believe he will jump on it. He will discuss it I am sure.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anonymous4:09 PM

Seanzie - I think it is a better fit than TTU

    ReplyDelete
  64. am I officially allowed to refer to everyone here as "Hotties"?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Coosa--That was very interesting, and don't worry, you brought more substance than I ever have in my 2 1/2 years of sporadic posting..

I bet if any of the beat hacks in bammerham covered that the way jay would they wouldn't have the best fortunes afterward.
