Hey everyone. We're making our maiden voyage on UStream, which allows you all to see me as we converse about Les Topics of Le Day.
Please enjoy.
(You may or may not have to register to be able to chat with me.)
I will be checking the comments section ... to make sure you can hear me and all.

ReplyDeletealfjqa[ufq back atcha!
ReplyDeleteIs it August yet?
ReplyDeleteAwesome in its awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteThe comments section has been blocked for me.
ReplyDeleteme too, Michael. I don't know what I am doing wrong
ReplyDeleteYep no comments for me either, at least I get the audio and video though. That's more than I got at work with the regular campfire
ReplyDeleteTHT and I are here but can't get the comment thingy to work.
ReplyDeleteI sent Jay G an email, maybe he can fix it for us. I can see and hear, but no comments
ReplyDeleteTHT 2.0
ReplyDeleteHow did you do that?
Nice technology, Jay.
ReplyDeleteJay G ...
ReplyDeleteSaw earlier today that the Cowbell Girl was blind.
Well, I thought I'd be able to participate while at work via the ustream viewing app, but ustream limits that app to only searching "featured" streams at their choosing. So, I can't find the HABOTN stream.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time. Exciting technological breakthrough fir the HABOTN family!
This is like Jay on the radio, but better.
ReplyDeleteYet another step of media evolution on HABOTN, next step is a holograph Jay being projected out of your computer onto your desktop :P
ReplyDeleteE Mack after the Under Armour game
ReplyDeleteAight ladies, gents and Michael, I'm headed home. See ya after a bit.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Jay. Great work.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the Ted Roof impersonation, JGT!
ReplyDeleteThat was AWESOME! I need to figure out how to post comments/questions live. It may be somehow blocked here by the man.
ReplyDeleteOk. I may get fired, but I had to witness history, so I had to log on at work. Shhhh.... Don't tell my bosses!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get the chat part to work though. Not sure why?
Nice Ted Roof sign off JG!
Mine cut off just when Jay started his impersonation!
ReplyDeleteIf she's blind, I'll feel bad.
ReplyDeleteI think the one I'm talking about is a xylophone player.
I don't know if those of you who couldn't get on were doing this, but I was writing comments and hitting the send button. Doesn't work. You have to just hit enter.
ReplyDeleteScotto Choco, where us your little choco shop located again? Somewhere in the 'Ham, right? I gotta drop by and sample the goods sometime.
ReplyDeleteShoot me an email with the locale, if you don't mind, sir.
I have about 20 comments that are flying around in space somewhere. Not sure where they went.
ReplyDeleteGlad you all enjoyed that.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably better than a standard chat from my end. I can play music, use visual aids, laugh at the things y'all say.
How often would you all attend these kinds of functions?
I could see the "comments" section, but not the "chat" part. They are different, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteIt can replace the campfire.
ReplyDeleteI can work and have it in the background, and it's much easier to follow than the campfire.
Just looking over some basic stats.
ReplyDeleteThe "show" lasted 1 hr, 40 min.
We had a total of 489 unique viewers.
We averaged 83 viewers watching at any one time.
Great start, everyone! Incredible.
JGT, THT would attend them whenever he isn't at work, like today. We both enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteD.Miller ... there are two separate elements to that deal.
ReplyDeleteThe first is video. That has its own code.
The second is the chat interface. That has its own code as well.
Comments is a separate deal, yea.
Sounds like you missed both of the UStream elements. Bummer.
I agree, possible campfire upgrade.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if ustream allows video conferencing? Like can we send in video questions or do a full on video chat with 30 (90) people?
Thanks, 2.0!
ReplyDeleteI have the option of "taping" them for later playback.
ReplyDeleteI didn't do that today. I'll make that happen for the next one.
I missed it. Was it awesome. Did Jay have a shirt on?
ReplyDeleteD ... I'm 95% sure we can do that.
ReplyDeleteI have the option of adding people to the broadcast, so I think that would work. You would just be part of the show, as it were.
I snuck in on the tail end of the video portion, JGT. (hopefully the man doesn't fire me because of it).
ReplyDeleteIf they're on Tuesday afternoons, I'll attend every week. If not, probably not so much. I dug it, though. Sorry if my critique was sounding like complaining, I was just trying to help on the first run. I do that.
ReplyDeleteD. Miller - just sent you an e-mail.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good distraction, while I am currently chloroxing my bathroom. :(
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the video campfire. I imagine one day you will have an actual fire next to you to make it even MORE true to word. Comments wouldn't update, and I was afraid everytime I refreshed, at somepoint I'd get kicked off, so I didn't try to do that.
ReplyDeleteThe band girl was standing with the xylophone player. But I got to say even if she is blind, blind people have fun too. I mean she's at the Fiesta Bowl on national television!!
On that note, Boise State's band has to be the "whitest" band on earth. I would have to say there may have been 6 or 7 kids in that band with actual rhythm. It's a good thing they were on before TCU.
It apparently would not let me register - or post any comments. I was on the actual site, and not viewing thru HABOTN
