Seastrunk headed for Oregon

Hey everyone. Texas tailback Lache Seastrunk, who once was thought to be one of Auburn's top targets, today announced plans to play at Oregon.

Seastrunk attended Big Cat Weekend last summer. He endeared himself to the Auburn-hearted by taking a swipe at Alabama coach Nick Saban during the trip. He mugged for an Opelika-Auburn News cameraman who filmed BCW festivities at Toomer's Corner, pointing at LaDarius Owens and saying: ``Tell Nick Saban he's S.O.L."

Anyway, Auburn seemed to cool on Seastrunk after Arkansas tailback Michael Dyer committed in early November. It appears the Tigers believe South Carolina tailback Marcus Lattimore will collaborate more effectively with Dyer.

Just thought you might like to know ... the rest of the story.

  1. Does no one want to be first anymore? Okay, I think I'll take Michael Dyer anyway.

  2. From the last thread which I once again seemed to post after a new one was created:

Just for knowledge sake, there's a new place in Vinings (for the folks that gto or are around Atlanta) called The Burger Club. They serve the 8 pound burgersaurus. supposedly it serves 8.

Glad to finally get to read some of the blog after actually having to work... AGAIN. Working is really getting in the way of my HABOTN time.

  3. I heard Lache has real skinny legs and bony elbows, that's why we didn't want him anymore

    ReplyDelete
  4. Now, I'm ready for Lattimore. Are you the only one around Tommy?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Headed home from work.......see ya later!

  6. I think there are a lot of folks around, they may still be on the last thread, or the 700+ comment one just trying to take it over 800

Seastrunk's a Duck ...just as I've been saying for the past 3 weeks.

JG ...Thanks for the props, but I was just funning. I only follow 'cruitin' on the HABOTN and have never commented on Seastrunk.

Of course the general HABOTN opinion was Oregon, so ..I got that going for me.

  9. Yep, well done. Jay G, did you find your ice cream hookup in Byrnes?

  10. Very nice report, JGT.

    Way to go, WEG!

Good luck, Lache! I'll always remember your Toomer's Corner proclamation!!!

  11. well, it's an hour past quittin' time. Hopefully, I'll get to quit in another 15 minutes. TTYHL.

THT ...ya know ...that jab at $aban may endear AU folks to Lache for the next few years.

    Go Ducks!!

OK ..off to the gym. It's gonna hurt.

  14. I'm not heartbroken that Lache isn't coming...in fact I posted earlier today I would be shocked if he did, but it is also very good for us that he did not decide to attend LSU.

  15. I broke the cardinal rule and listened to 5 minutes of fbomb today. I came in on the tail end of him dissing Jonna Chizik, but I didn't hear what it was about. Something about him running into her at Auburn after the AU - AL game. Anyone shed any light on this?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Cincy, you can read about it here:

  17. JGT, I love your recruiting articles. No such thing as too much info.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks, Kathy. This happened after the Iron Bowl and we're just not hearing about it? Sounds fishy to me.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I did not see this take place.

I find it plausible. Jonna is a strong-minded and outspoken person. If she doesn't like you, it won't be a secret.

As far as if Finebaum deserved it, well, you know my feelings about his on-air work. My reasons for loathing him professionally have nothing to do with an alleged bias against Auburn, though.

    ReplyDelete
  20. He's a mean-spirited person on the air. I don't like it.

I'll bet cash money that someday he'll regret having been so mindlessly aggressive toward people he barely knows.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anyway, I have completed 25 signee capsules so far. I haven't yet done DJ Howard and I'm still trying to learn more about Ryan White. He's an enigma to me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I heard part of the segment with Gentry Estes today. I would not call Estes an unbiased reporter, which is ok, he writes about the tide. But, fbomb even twisted what Estes was saying about recruiting to make it sound like he was saying negative things about Auburn, which he wasn't. Fbomb just kept pushing, It was kind of sick.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jay,
When are you going to post those capsules? As the players commit? I am not going to have access to a computer during the day on Wednesday, will you tweet when we get commitments? Or is that overload?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Have you not done DJ because you don't think he is going to commit to Auburn?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think it's funny that Mrs. Chizik and Mrs. Malzan got all over Finescum. He deserves everything he gets. It was the Center Point town idiot that brought up the story. I though Finescum did ok at not bashing them too much, but the idiot just kept on.

Whew folks...I've had a helluva day..

First I introduced the new iPad (I overruled the previous suggestion of iSlate).

Get you some of that! At $499 and up, of course.

    "He's a mean-spirited person on the air. I don't like it."

I feel the same way. Most of the sports radio personalities in B'ham favor UAT, but he's the only one who seems to be a flat-out jerk. I can't listen to him.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm waiting on the new iPhone FSJ. I hear it will be 4G.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ms Chizik yelled at me once when our football ended up in her back yard. It wasn't my fault, Harrison wanted to practice punting.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree, SC. I listen to Dunaway and Brown quite often and while Dunaway is openly pro-bama, he is very respectful of Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think DJ Howard will de-commit.

I'm going to South Carolina for Lattimore's announcement. I'm hoping to get back in Auburn by 10 a.m. or so on Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jay G is a hardcore recruitnik! Awesome!

I will read whatever you write from there as long as it is not too in depth.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't mind D&B. You really can't expect UAT fans to be any more respectful of AU than they are. With that said, I pretty much boycotted all sports radio in B'ham for about 10 days after 1/7. Cincy, have you heard D&B since they teamed up with Lance Taylor? I'm not sure how that's going to work out.

    ReplyDelete
  34. JGT, are you going to SC because you have inside info?

Have you heard if Savage got his 6th year?

    ReplyDelete
  35. G, are you going to SC because you believe Latt will commit to Au.

    ReplyDelete
  36. does AU go back to seastrunk if lattimore falls through?

i don't think it comes to that, but that is not a bad fallback if you could pull it off.

    ReplyDelete
  37. wtc's mom told Jay G he wouldn't be disappointed if he went there.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Scott,
I'm not wild about the merge with LT. I think the Roundtable was about to go under and that is why they had D&B move over with him. I think they do some segments that D&B aren't real comfortable with.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am going to SC because Lattimore is a huge story -- either way.

Savage won't learn his fate for a while longer. Tez Doolittle applied in 2007 and received notification in mid March.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Chip- No chance they go back to Seastrunk. Apparently according to some in the know he wasn't a good fit at Auburn and he was using an in-between that resulted in Auburn backing off of him after Big Cat Weekend. Seastrunk hasn't been in Auburn's plans for quite awhile it appears.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am actually the HABOTN in-between for this guy named Harold. I pretty much write whatever he tells me to write.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Cincy, I can't believe you broke the cardinal rule! Shame on you! ;-)

Kathy, is there any way I could read that article without signing up?

Why were they talking about that today anyway? It was two months ago.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Me neither, Cincy. It seems like a bad marriage. I figured it might be a cost-cutting thing, though.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I, like the rest of you, am not the least bit upset about Seastrunk going to Oregon. Auburn has Fannin, McCalebb, Dyer and possibly Lattimore. Isn't that enough? To me it is.

Jay G, thanks for the write up on McNeal. Too much content? Never! You know we can't get enough when it comes to Auburn!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Luv, I think you do have to sign up, but you don't have to get a paid membership.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hey, THT, think you got some synapses crossed there...

    ReplyDelete
  47. Holy smokes Tar Heel,
that reminds me I saw the Enigma at a sushi restaurant one time, really sort of freaked me out.

    ReplyDelete
  48. oops, JGT said Ryan White is an enigma, not The Enigma.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Lache ... all the best. You seem like an entertaining young man.

My guess: DJ and Ryan White will be elsewhere come signing day.

    ReplyDelete
  50. FSJ,
I am a bit disappointed in your newly announced iPad (Canvas would have been a much cooler name... iPad is too close to iPod).
The UI is slick, but no multi-tasking, no (adobe)flash, no camera, no usb or optical drive? C'mon!

With that said, it's pretty slick. the iWork programs developed specifically for the iPad look very smooth and robust...

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks for that link, THT.

The Enigma was brilliant in his role as "The Conundrum" in X-Files.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yuck! Just got the instructions for my "welcome to 50" scope of the nether regions. These instructions sound like less fun than listening to a whole 4 hour fbomb show. I DO NOT like this part of turning 50!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Freep - I only watched x-files because it was what MrsTHT wanted to watch. That's where I remembered The Enigma from.

I'm glad grammar lady isn't here right now.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Cincy - you're such a youngster!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I hope i still feel young after they finish with me!

  57. My son-in-law and I started a contest today. We are competing to see who can lower their cholesterol the most in 6 months. We are both at the high end of normal and want to get it lower. We are both so competitive we thought a competition would encourage us. Anyone have any tips?

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think we are going to lose Shon Coleman to the Tide...

    ReplyDelete
  59. jhag,
    Why do you say that?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Cincy - I use ice cream liberally.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Saban visited him today...he is taking a visit to Tuscaloosa soon. If they dont feel they are going to sign James Stone whom is now favoring UTenn they will offer Shon...and you have to believe Shon is just waiting for an UA offer

    ReplyDelete
  62. wtc's mom is going to wash your mouth out with soap for such trash talk, jhag.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yeah, THT, I can just see my cholesterol plummeting on that diet. You trying to help my son-in-law win?

    ReplyDelete
  64. well, Molly is one of the slimmest women I know, so it must work!

    ReplyDelete
  65. jahg,
Why would he want to go to bama and sit on the bench for 3 years? Don't they have like 49 offensive lineman? And from the recruiting boards he already has an offer from Alabama. Why hasn't he taken it if that is where he's so fired up to go?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, I don't think Coleman is "just waiting" on an offer from UAT. He already had one. He may be waiting to see if anything changes his mind (like an Escalade or something).

    ReplyDelete
  67. It isnt a commitable offer...and sorry for voicing my opinion. Well see what happens

    ReplyDelete
  68. James Stone is ahead of Shon on Alabama's board, if Stone goes to UT Shon goes to BAMA

    ReplyDelete
  69. No, jhag, I appreciate you offering information you are aware of. I just hope it doesn't happen. What is the difference between an offer and a commitable offer? Do schools offer different kinds of offers?

    ReplyDelete
  70. So what do the gurus say about Stone? Sounds like you think he is TN bound.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I mean I dont see why this kid visits a rival school this close to NSD if he isnt interested

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think its more likely that they are making a last ditch effort to take him away from Auburn now that Stone is looking elsewhere. I have seen nothing to show me that Coleman wants to go anywhere but Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  73. jhag, stop the 2nd fiddle attitude please.

    ReplyDelete
  74. What makes you so certain that that's what he'll do? Just curious.

He is the one with the coach who's a big UAT fan, though, isn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  75. You're right, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Unless maybe it is a power thing? He wants them to beg so he can say no thanks? It could happen :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well James Stone was considered by most a Bama Lock, then it was a AU/UA battle but now Tennessee is swooping in and he named them his leader. Stone was the top OL on Bama's must get board. Therefore they are now jumping on Shon Coleman in thoughts of losing Stone

    ReplyDelete
  77. He has visited OM, Arky, and now Bama the last few weeks, kinda fishy

    ReplyDelete
  78. You still have to make the assumption that he would rather go to UAT than AU. I think that's far from a given.

    ReplyDelete
  79. jhag, if you were 17/18 and were told you could take 5 free trips, be taken out to eat and treated like a king that you wouldn't go?

He isn't from Alabama so he doesn't understand the rivalry. He is just loving the attention. I could be wrong but I don't think he goes anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Maybe he just likes being wined and dined

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah, what Ch=B said!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm outta here! Everybody have a good night. WDE!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I don't like it any more than the next person, but that's how it works. If we lose him then we lose him. We will still have a very good class and should be happy. 1 guys does not make/break a class.

    ReplyDelete
  84. But, I want him. And like my hubby says, I usually get what I want.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Well then it's a done deal!!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wow my FAUWG was a beast tonight!! She must of missed nap time.

    ReplyDelete
  87. ....If you were 17/18 and were told you could take 5 free trips, be taken out to eat and treated like a king that you wouldn't go?

You darn tootin' I would. Couldn't have said it any better myself.

I think he is AU bound.

AND for the record... I think we get Whiticker too.

    ReplyDelete
  88. ....AND you forgot to mention have some of the loveliest women on campus - be it they are Hostesses fawn over you during your visit?

    Yea - I would take my 5.....

    ReplyDelete
  89. plus some unofficals

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'd feel better if wtc's mom popped in and told us not to worry.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Mom is too busy, but I will say do not worry, for now.

    ReplyDelete
  92. FWIW:

I have felt, for about a week, that DJ Howard will go to Clemson. The visit to Clemson, W/O telling the coaches did not sit well at all. we probably will lose him.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Coaches visited Coleman today at Olive Branch HS. I hear three coaches showed up. Nutt, Saban, Chizik. Chizik did visit. Coleman is in Ttown tonight. He will get the full court press, as CHB stated, because UA feels James Stone is going to UT. Last I heard, he cancelled his scheduled visit to AU this weekend. Hard to think the UA coaches can change what AU has been working on for 12 months. Remember AU was the first to offer. UA went after his teammate, D Robinson a very big OL, and looked past Coleman. I also recall that Coleman said, last week, that he was 100% AU but he would take his visits. So, even though it is to a rival team, so were the visits to Ole Miss and Arly, and he is going to Miami this weekend, he is doing what he said.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Well I certainly would not visit Tuscaloosa, Alabama...I would go to USC, UCLA, FSU, Oregon, and Hawaii

    ReplyDelete
  95. One other note. I think Saban and much of the staff is on the road, like all coaches at this time, so he probably doesn't get nearly the face time he would normally get for an official.
That is just my opinion. their staff is good, so I know they know what they are doing and will make it a good trip.
I still think he stays with AU.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Haha I think its funny that you put FSU in the midst of USC, Oregon and Hawaii. Tally isn't exactly an exotic location.

    ReplyDelete
  97. AU has several high profile visitors this weekend. No names just yet, but 3 of the 5 are committed elsewhere. Florida, UGA, and UNC (I think).

    ReplyDelete
  98. If Stone commits to Bama we keep Shon if he commits to UT Shon goes to Bama, id put money on that...I might lose my money but that is just how I feel

    ReplyDelete
  99. Jhag-I agree with you, but I also would not have visited Fayetteville or Oxford.

    ReplyDelete
  100. FSJ I'm dying for an ipad. Hook a brotha up!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yeah but their girls are exotic

    ReplyDelete
  102. I agree with CHB about Coleman. And hasn't he reported for months that he's taking ALL his visits despite being 100% Auburn? The UAT visit has been on the books for months. It's not like this came out of the blue.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Thank you wtc, it takes two recruiting gurus to tango **cheers**

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yeah but before Bama wasn't really pressing him now with Stone considering UT highly they will accept a Coleman commitment

    ReplyDelete
  105. any chance of getting John Cullen in for a visit this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  106. FWIW - I'd absolutely encourage my F4* son to take all of his official visits. Of course I'll go with him to supervise. I'm thinking he'll be interested in visiting; AU, USCw, UCLA, Hawaii, and maybe FSU.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Malzahn will be in Montgomery tomorrow for the AHSAA convention.

Some guy from Alabama will be there, too.

    ReplyDelete
  108. According to Rivals Cullen is going to USCw this weekend

    ReplyDelete
  109. thanks, Wakerider.

Ok, time for me to get in my "the sky is falling on Auburn" mindset.

We could lose Coleman to "those people" if "those people" lose Stone to UT. The coach who reportedly made some claims of "big surprises" for AU yesterday (didn't happen) and/or NSD is the same coach who made that claim about how July 4 2009 was going to be huge and we wouldn't need any fireworks. Well, I hope this next week doesn't come and go like July 4 weekend did.

    ReplyDelete
  110. P.M. says Coleman did not take the visit to Bama tonight. If he cancels his visit to Miami this weekend then that means trouble. Stone is not ahead of Coleman on anybody's board. If Lattimore commits to SC we keep Howard. Howard has yet to realize he is not a BCS RB. If Lattimore goes to SC we will go hard after Ambles. If Lattimore commits to us, Howard will go to Clemson, then we would take Darius Robinson from Clemson. All of that is only my opinion..no inside info...NOT TO ALL AUBURN FANS..STOP LISTENING TO FINEBALM!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. I don't understand the AU fans that think that just because someone visits another school, that AU is going to lose that recruit... lose the inferiority complex, please.

Coleman has said from the very beginning that he wanted to, and would, take all 5 visits. Keep your pants on. Cause you look like a fool with your pants on the ground.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Norm me and your future son have a lot in commin

    ReplyDelete
  113. Yes, keep your pants on, peeps.

    ReplyDelete
  114. just playing to the crowd, D. Miller.

I still think if Coleman visits UA-T, it is on a mission of espionage.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Ok, Turfman, I hear you. But, listening to Fbomb is like watching a train wreck. You try hard not to, but you just can't help yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Turfman-I just read an article from the Clemson site that interviewed Robinson. He was in town this weekend. He says he took the trip because his dad wanted him to and he had no intentions of leaving.
Just thought I would let you know. I knew he was in town. He visited with the faculty. His story with the Clemson guys is different than what actually happened, but that is OK. he says he is 100% to Clemson. (Where have we heard that before) BTW-I was one that thought we had him locked up after this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  117. jhag - just a finer point; I already have the son, it's 4* that's in the future. Actually, I'm thinking 5* but don't want to seem cocky about it. So, be on the lookout for him in around 14 years.

    ReplyDelete
  118. It's a shame about Seastrunk too he is truely a special player.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I wasn't referring to you THT... I knew you were pandering.

    ReplyDelete
  120. The sky is falling!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Turfman whoa whoa whoa...first of all Stone is ahead of Coleman on Alabama's board ask any knowledgeable Bama fan. Just bc hes rated higher on rivals doesn't mean Alabama doesn't have Stone higher on their board, they evaluate differently.
secondly what does Lattimore going to USCe have anything to do with Ambles?
He announces the day before signing day so it will be hard to go "after" Ambles when we have hours...
Lastly DJ Howard can play RB in a BCS conference, hence kentucky and clemson going hard after him...cmon man

    ReplyDelete
  122. I listened to Fbomb in my travel form the office to the gym today. Thank goodness I stopped at one traffic light. That nut from Centerpoint just came on and started the topic of Mrs. Chizik and Mrs. Malzahn 'attacking' him. With Coach Malzahn and Chizik watching. Supposedly her tirade went on for 20 minutes. it was sort of like the tongue lashing that Gottfried's wife gave him a year ago. To his credit, Fbomb did say that he was not attacked and that she just had some things she wanted to say. Knucklehead caller kept saying she attacked him and both coaches should apologize. Fbomb said he did not think they should and went to break.

    ReplyDelete
  123. After listening to that segment, I pondered taking a shower BEFORE I worked out.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Oregon is the perfect fit for Lache, im happy for him...he will flourish in their offense and rip up Pac10 defenses

    ReplyDelete
  125. The guy from Rivals, Jeff Lee, says Coleman is in Ttown tonight. Do not know who is correct on that one. PMarshall or Jeff Lee.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Since no message boards are lit up about him 'not coming (on their side) and him 'not going' on the Au side. I assume he went.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Jet, our discussion about a certain DB getting dropped is wrong. That was something PM put out and was wrong from the start.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I can listen off and on to the 740 morning and mid-day shows but cannot and will not listen to F'bomb. I'd rather pull another all night conference call than to listen to his show.

    ReplyDelete
  129. jhag, there is no such thing as a knowledgeable bammer... you should know this.

    ReplyDelete
  130. jhag, no offense, but your description of the "bama board rankings" sounds much like the convenient excuses we always hear from UAT fans: if the player commits, he was always high; if not, never was. The rank always goes up and down depending on whether they go elsewhere or join the fold.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Pmarsh says what AU fans want to hear since it is a pay site, cmon

    ReplyDelete
  132. WTC,
PM has been taking a page from the Paul Kornblutt playbook lately...

    ReplyDelete
  133. Dave Rader to ole miss as OC

    ReplyDelete
  134. Thats a head scratcher of a hire.

    ReplyDelete
  135. jhag..Clemson and Kentucky are going after Howard for the same reason we are, he has tons of potential in the defensive backfield. James Stone was an uncommitted prospect which if I'm Bama's coach would make him an easier target than Coleman. I promise you Bama put the full press on Coleman before he committed to Auburn. Coleman is a big step above Stone. As I said before there is not a team in this country who would evaluate these guys and pick Stone. Recruiting Lattimore is not about getting a RB(we have plenty)it's about getting a playmaker. Ambles is the backup plan if we lose Lattimore. Note to Jhag...the coaches know where a player is going WAY before the public...

    ReplyDelete
  136. I am visiting Opelika on Saturday.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Turfman being so uninformed with recruiting and making all these claims is interesting. I guess you have the best inside sources around

    ReplyDelete
  138. Thanks for all the updates, Jay G. Too much is not enough when talking AU football.

    Hello to all the Hotties.

Sorry I've been awol for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I get all my insider crutin' info from the State of the Union address. The Big O just whispered "Coleman's just messin' with tiny in t-town" and winked. So, there you go!

    ReplyDelete
  140. When he said that, McCain leaned over and said "Bama Sucks!!" to Lindsey Graham. I love it when they talk about stuff that matters in DC!

    ReplyDelete
  141. my inside source is a combination of 3 AU websites who get paid to get inside info. I dont know why I need to validate myself to someone who thinks Coleman will go to Bama. Then again your source is the Bama recruiting board so why am I even trying?

    ReplyDelete
  142. ladies, ladies... if you're gonna fight, find some jello first

    ReplyDelete
  143. I have had everything i've said opinion or otherwise disputed by someone who is obviously ill informed.

  145. There's only one expect and it's WTC's mom. She sits on a reupholstered sofa, soaking her bunions. You'd think she'd be sitting there doing crossword puzzles or knitting.

Instead, she's working the phones like a pro.

  146. I began feeling nauseous around 9p eastern. I'm not sure why. I suppose it could have something to do with recruiting, but I'm not sure that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  147. never looked at a bama board in my life...
Clemson is recruiting DJ just for RB. Ambles at this point isn't a back up plan. If he commits then we take one less DT (Which right now appears to be an in state 3*). The coaches have been adamant about taking two RBs this signing class so Lattimore falls into that category.
Shon Coleman is Bama's backup plan for James Stone
    get some.

  150. CHB - I notice you left off ITT from your list. Why?

    ReplyDelete
  151. Norm, ITT's coach is on the hot seat, its never a good idea to go to a school who could change coaches while your there. Plus I hear they don't even take you to the scrip club on visits.

    ReplyDelete
  152. And we all know it ain't no sin to go to the scrip clubs. Recruits just like to be rebellion.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I have, but it is annoying when someone comes in here saying all this false info etc. ill chill but it gets on my nerves

    ReplyDelete
  154. I was unaware that yet another coach was on the hot seat. I appreciate the clarification. You made a very valid point.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I would take an unoffical visit to ITT.

  156. Can't we all just get along?

  157. What about The Georgia School of Bartending?

    G'night folks.

  158. I rarely argue on the internet or in general in life but when someone is clearly wrong and tests me i gotta call them out...anyways wassup

    ReplyDelete
  159. False info Jhag??

It isnt a commitable offer...and sorry for voicing my opinion. Well see what happens

Be honest with everyone..you have no clue what you are talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  160. jhag-the older you get, that desire will go away. Most of the time I don't care who disagrees with me. It is my opinion and it works for me. That is the way I look at it. If we all liked the same thing, Baskin Robbins would have been out of business a long time ago.

Both of you had good points. You each just feel strongly about your point. Problem is, none of us will ever know, unless Homer Tate does an exclusive with the coaches from the conference to tell why they went after certain guys and not others. :)

    ReplyDelete
  161. Get some?? how old are you 10??

    ReplyDelete
  162. To make it clear I was talking the desire to argue over the internet to prove your point. I have been told by those older than me that other desires go away also. You know who you are .... Jet, Norm, Harrison.

    ReplyDelete
  163. puttin the dude on the ignore list..wtc you the man

    ReplyDelete
  164. wtc,
I don't think those other desires go away until you die :)

    ReplyDelete
  165. Im actually a 56 year old female, and you? get some

    ReplyDelete
  166. WOW. I am at a loss for words now, Cincy.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I was talking about the desires for chocolate, diamonds, new furniture for a condo... what did you think I was talking about wtc?

    ReplyDelete
  168. Good night, hotties. Y'all be nice to each other. We're all members of the same family :)

wtc, anyone else ... just got a call saying Savage has had his 6th year approved. No links and it is from a good source but no real proof. Anyone else heard it yet?

    ReplyDelete
  170. All of you off to bed. If you are here, this is what I hear. Chizik talked to coleman. He is coming to AU. Now, these are 17/18 yr olds, so a new car and cash may change his mind, but I understand he is AU bound.
Lattimore, now that one is changing. He is getting BIG time pressure from all fronts in SC to stay in SC. He may cave, he may not. Use to be he was a high probability to AU, now not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  171. AU. That's good news, if he is fully recovered. I say he loses a step of speed, so he moves back to safety.

  172. Good morning, HOTTIES!!!

It's a great day to be an Auburn Tiger!

    ReplyDelete
  173. Good morning, Hotties! Happy Thursday!!

I have to disagree about Finescum's radio show being like a trainwreck. I have NO desire whatsoever to listen. A vast majority (I'd say probably 99%) of the callers are idiots - that includes both Auburn and UAT fans. I do agree with Jay G in that basically he is a BIG JERK. It's purely entertainment, you say? Well, then I guess we all have our own opinion of what is entertaining. Like my brother said about the fact that my brothers' political views and mine are almost completely different, "Diversity is what makes this world great."

  174. Cincy, EVERY day is a great day to be an Auburn Tiger!!!!

Now, I must go to a bunch of portable CXR's in MICU!

  177. AUfan-The news about Savage is coming from a facebook site about AU recruiting. One o the mods usually has very goof info, but I have nto seen nor heard anything official yet. I find it hard to believe the NCAA would rule so early onthisone, but who knows how that group works.

  178. Experts will tell you the holidays are the most stressful time of the year. As we get closer to Recruitmas, it's not surprising that we're sniping at each other.

But, as I said decades ago, it is Morning in America, and it is wonderful see our coaching staff in the mix for so many outstanding players. In time, we can truly be that Shining Program on a Hill -- a beacon for all to see.m

    ReplyDelete
  179. Good Mornin' all. Looks like it is going to be a nice day in P'ville. Hope so, got some walkin' to do today, maybe some yard work as well.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Thanks for the info, Sponge. I hope Lattimore gets some distance and time to think things over. If he gets some room, Auburn's chances have to be excellent. I mean, he'll languish in USC (with or w/out Spurrier there).

    ReplyDelete
  181. I cannot listen to Fbomb anymore. He is like a propoganda radio station for Bama right now.

I am okay with PF when he is talking by himself, because he kind of gives the needle to idiots. I have big issues when he allows that Shane guy to act like he is a objective journalist, then call people like Charles Goldberg homers. I find it repulsive. It
    is borderline defamation of character/slander.

Some of this stuff people like Shane posts is close to being fiction. You watch, one of these days someone like him is going to get challenged in the legal system and have the book thrown at them.

  182. Good morning, all.

  183. Sausage cookin', pancakes about ready, I am an Auburn Tiger. Life is good.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Where is Norm? We are getting close.

    ReplyDelete
  185. IV,
We may have to do it without him.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Mmmmm, sausage and pancakes, sounds wonderful. Suddenly my oatmeal doesn't sound so satisfying.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Pancakes--that would be good!

I agree with Jay's take on Finebaum. He is really mean-spirited at times. I don't like how he demeans sincere callers who did him the honor of calling into his usually-lame show. He can demean the hired village fools if he wants, but he should leave others alone. I do enjoy some of the interviews he does.

I think he and some of the political "entertainers" on the air have done a lot to coarsen public discourse. Demeaning, shouting, talking over other speakers. Just gets on my nerves.
