What is Big Cat Weekend? Surely you jest.
It's only a glitzy enterprise that involves a slew of top recruits making mass unofficial visits. Auburn created the event in 2009, which led to some strikes and gutters.
Strikes: Several of those attendees signed with Auburn.
Gutterballs: Several coaches committed secondary violations during BCW.
I am here at the Athletic Complex. I will be talking with people about this situation within the hour. As always, I'll pass along what they say.
Have a nice day.
Homer substance = best substance
ReplyDeletefast as Speed Reed, but without the turnover
ReplyDeletethose would be spares, JGT, not gutterballs ;-)
ReplyDeleteLet's dance
ReplyDeleteI didn't post this earlier because I was anticipating some FRESH substancio, but it's been delayed.
ReplyDeleteI had to run it.
It's all good bro
ReplyDeleteSays something like you and me babe, how about it
ReplyDeleteMr Tate - ask if the public is invited ;-)
ReplyDeleteis it kosher for them to actually announce BCW?
Romeo & Juliet Dire Straits
ReplyDeleteThe dice was loaded from the start ...
ReplyDeletey'all are good!
ReplyDeletethat's my 2nd favorite DS song. The first being Skateaway.
ReplyDeleteI like Tunnel of Love and Money..
ReplyDeleteBrothers in Arms is epic.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible for "Return to Big Cat Weekend" to recapture the magic? I wonder.
ReplyDeleteIn a completely unrelated note, if you've ever listened to a small child tell a story, then you owe it to yourself to read Axe Cop
I like "Down By The Waterline" and "Telegraph Road", among others.
ReplyDelete"Brothers In Arms", too.
ReplyDeleteLet's face it, they're all good.
ReplyDelete"I can't wait
ReplyDeleteto secondarily violate"
one of my favorite jetisms ever
Skateaway is tops.
ReplyDeleteI once replayed Romeo & Juliet for almost an entire flight from London. I'm guessing at least 60 times. I still like the song.
ReplyDeleteOops, "Down to the Waterline", not "by".
ReplyDeleteJay G plays the movies all night long.
ReplyDeleteI think Romeo & Juliet took on a whole new meaning when the Indigo Girls did it.
ReplyDeleteI love the guitar sound effect at the end of
ReplyDelete"I swear she let a big truck grease her hip"
From what I understand, we signed nearly half of the players that showed up for Big Cat Weekend last year, so this is a very big deal.
ReplyDeleteweagle...
ReplyDeleteIndigo Girls? Really? I'm going to pretend I didn't read that and I still don't know.
Beginning to think that I'm wastin time
ReplyDeletedon't understand the things I do.
The world outside looks so unkind....
(as we continue a trip through iTunes)
So, should we ground Trooper now, or wait until after BCW?
ReplyDeleteI just remember hearing it on a local station years ago and thinking, "Damn, this song just became about a bulldyke that lost a lipstick to an old boyfriend." Harsh!
ReplyDeleteYou can't ground Trooper, he's recruiting TNT!
ReplyDeleteI say we let Trooper manage himself, Steve. Surely he's learned from his mistakes.
ReplyDeleteIf the SEC and the NCAA don't tell us we can't do it again after this year, then we will have not done it well enough.
ReplyDeleteAs long a there isn't an announcement at Toomer's and no public then we will be fine.
ReplyDelete"All right stop collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop yo I don't know
Turn off the lights and I'll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance go rush to the speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly when I play a dope melody
Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it you better gain weight
You better hit bull's eye the kid don't play
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Just remember, we had a top five recruiting class with one Trooper in time out. This year should be even more interesting.

Rats. I have to work the Friday night of BCW and I won't be able to get there for it. :-(
ReplyDeleteJust like in hockey, you gotta spend a little time in the penalty box.
ReplyDeleteok, we're still cruising through iTunes. Y'all can ask Cincy for help on this one...
ReplyDeleteLight that came from everywhere drove shadows from the room.
I read where 10 current players (who have yet to enrol) want to be a part of it again.
ReplyDeleteGood call, weagle.
ReplyDeleteDolly Parton?
ReplyDeleteThe best explanation ever was when Vanilla Ice tried to explain that his track had a slight "symbol" change from under pressure.
ReplyDeleteUm, Vanilla Ice? Man, we need to hire a music consultant for HABOTN.
ReplyDeleteSteveFC - nice. Dolly did a cover. My iTunes is the original by Don Francisco.
ReplyDeleteTHT @ 3:57,
ReplyDeleteIs that Dobie Gray? Smooth!
That Vanilla Ice interview clip is classic, CH=B
ReplyDelete"Ninja Rap" is easily one of the best songs ever, featured in one of the greatest films of all time, "Ninga Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze".
ReplyDeleteCould someone please give me the lyrics to Ice, Ice, Baby?
ReplyDeleteWhat's that?
Oh, nevermind.
yes, Weagle. I have a re-recorded version that is absolutely fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the authorities at AU ought pipe in the Motor City Madman's "Cat Scratch Fever" during pregame.
ReplyDeleteWill it include violations again?
ReplyDeleteYippee!
