Radio substance
ReplyDeleteHells to the yeah.
ReplyDeleteBut probably not.
ReplyDeleteNo fair.
ReplyDeleteMy post originally showed up first. I hate blogger's slowness.
Blogger is falling apart these days. The counter problem is getting worse and worse.
ReplyDeleteI need a new home.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on it.
We have dominated blogger. We are too mighty for it to handle.
ReplyDeleteBoy George. Jeez.
ReplyDeleteWe'll talk football after the break. I promise.
I missed the 1st segment, anything earth shattering?
ReplyDeletei love beating the internet into submission. HABOTN is supreme!
ReplyDeleteJay G is gonna cover BASEBALL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIn Auburn!! Spending the whole day with Tylerson! I'm sure I am a lot more excited about it than he is, but he is tolerating it well :) Have a great day, Hottie friends!
ReplyDeletethis sucks. i am in opelika on business (not a coincidence). but i forgot about a crawfish boil back home in mobile that the wife committed to a month ago. it's not too bad because i really love eating the spicy corn & mudbugs. i guess in the end i almost get best of both worlds. crawfish and AU aday on dvr. i was even more annoyed when i discovered the all decade team would be attending.
ReplyDeleteCrawfish sounds quite lovely right now ...
ReplyDeleteI hope J-Kev uses Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" as my opening music next week!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the A-day game tomorrow. Would love to meet some of you ! Name the time & place.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff JGT "get the redhead with a limp" classic.
ReplyDeleteAnd what the hell you gonna do when your cup runneth over on this beat writer stuff.
5 bucks says Biff does not play Ga-Ga.
ReplyDeleteJay G,
ReplyDeleteDidn't you know that this 2010 Auburn football team is going to be so explosive that the Homeland Security threat level goes up every time they take the field?
That's why they are limiting access. It's in the interest of national security.
Lady GaGa is the debul.
ReplyDeleteAlright kids. Next post will be from the loveliest village. WrEgl.
ReplyDeleteI'll have a thread up around noon after practice.
ReplyDelete@Digger: I'll write news or features or do investigative work. I just like writing and reporting; it doesn't have to be sports.
We have 50lbs of crawfish ready to die tomorrow. Its gonna be a good day
ReplyDeleteHarrison, today, you should have a battle royal tournament. Pick the 16 meanest looking ones and do a single elimination tournament. Ustream the action.
ReplyDeleteI love crawdads. I'm very allergic, but usually decide it's worth it.
ReplyDeletePF- consider that done. we will definitely have crawfish fights tomorrow. Place your bets now
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 3 or 4 I turned over a cooler of crawdads in the garage. They backed me into a corner. It was traumatic and (I believe) my earliest memory.
ReplyDeleteWill the radio affiliates be carrying the game saturday?
ReplyDeleteehyou - one of my earliest traumatic memories was from the 2 - 3 y/o timeframe and involved fire ants. After stumbling across their hill, I was apparently paralyzed with fear resulting in hundreds of stings all over before my mom was able to rescue me. I hate those creatures to this day.
ReplyDeleteCrawdads are kinda cool. Fire ants are a scourge.
ReplyDeleteThe first "fish" I ever caught (in my granddad's creek when I was 4) was a crawfish. It started walking backwards toward me on the creek bank and scared me silly.
ReplyDeleteYears later I married a Cajun. It was an omen.
I do like his mama's crawfish etouffee.
Fire ants are awful and a mother's nightmare. On the plus side, I don't see as many as I used to. Maybe the extensive drought we had a couple years back took care of some of them.
ReplyDeleteIn 1961, I was 6 years old and we moved to Prattville into a new house at the corner of Wright street @ Chester St. Day 3 living there we were playing football and I landed in a juniper bush with a Red Wasp nest. Got stung 5 times, ran a fever for 3 days.
ReplyDeleteI am now allergic to wasp stings.
According to my parents, when I was 3 I played in a fire any mound in Florida like it was a sandbox. There were fire ants all over me. Luckily, there was a hose nearby, and apparently the "sting" command that fire ants send hadn't been sent yet, so I didn't get stung at all.
ReplyDeleteYour parents lied Michael, those were puppets not fire ants.
ReplyDeleteI had a bumble bee den incident playing on a trailer at a fishing camp. Wet tobacco was grossly applied to the stings. They healed, but if anyone ever pours venom in an open wound on my body, then covers the wound with tobacco, I will likely die from a reaction.
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting JGT. You are right there are a lot of stories people like to read about but not with the pation of football.
ReplyDeletetired of 4+ hours of microfilm reading. Heading home for a HABOTN afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHottie Ho!!!
Coffee Cup- my basement, in front of the TV, 2 pm EDT.
Live blog from lunch with Phred, WTC and WTC's Mom (who needs to shave).
ReplyDeleteBrother Jet, ask WTC how he feels about the growing population of red headed children in the congo.
ReplyDeleteWTC is loquacious. Mom warming up. Phred is asking questions. Momma G's is solid.
ReplyDeleteWake ...
ReplyDeleteHe says if they are step children, then they should be beaten. Severely.
Jet - ask wtc and his mom if I can have a pony. I've asked JGT a number of times but he hasn't come through with one yet.
ReplyDeleteNorm ...
ReplyDeleteNo.
New thread UPZ.
