  2. Don't make me come over there

    ReplyDelete
  3. Thanks J G for the work

    ReplyDelete
  4. Excellent HD substance, Jay. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm still working out the kinks on this new camera and how to prepare the movies for proper HD viewing.

This version is mushy, not crisp enough. I'm going to rebuild it to some different specs and see if that helps.

Edgar Winter June 1973 at Rickwood Field ....Frankenstein

JG ...I was gonna say nice video, but since it's mushy, I'll withhold that comment for now.

REPOST (not to be confused with Soccer)

Hey did ya'll know that Regions Bank (the official SEC bank) now has National Champee-onship check cards available?

    The advertising tag line is:
"It's like carrying a piece of the championship around with you".

Those stoopid Bammers prolly believe that ad.

    HATE HATE HATE

    ReplyDelete
  8. It was clear enough for me thanks JGT

    ReplyDelete
  9. Paws? nope, it's 'The Game'. they're on sale at Anders Bookstore if you want one. it's a moisture-management type material.

    sorry, it's what i do peeps. :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Got a good view later in the video. Thanks, Scottie. What it is not, is an Under Armour hat.Interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  11. tis true. i think LSU wears 'The Game' caps & has for years. they were Russell jerseys, though. i think Russell owns 'The Game' or used to anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hoopie ...

    "Declined."

    ReplyDelete
  13. If anyone needs me next Saturday I'll be at Chic-Fil-A in Dothan between 11-2. Stop by and say Hi.

    ReplyDelete
  14. i'm mostly a 'The Franchise' fitted cap guy. got a few AU & Braves' caps in that style. they make me happy.

we should do our next HABOTN caps in that style. i can get 'em.

    ReplyDelete
  15. well, something pretty close anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I like those, Scottie. They can get stiff if you get them wet, but will soften back up with wear. The floppy navy HABOTN cap (Pacific Headwear style 201C) is similar in feel, without the stiffness problem. Does Pacific do a fitted (or near-fitted like The Franchise) version of that style?

    ReplyDelete
  17. yup, they do PF. it's new. it's the #V55 called Universal Fitted Vintage. i'm a little ticked b/c the one they show in the catalog is a Bama cap. ggrrrr....

    ReplyDelete
  19. however, it just enhances the HATE. i'm ready for wednesday!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I need a Cardinals shirt & hat. It's so dang frustrating around here because no one carries Cardinals stuff. It's Braves this and Braves that. Braves can suck it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I like the Franchise style fitted caps as well.
I need a new AU one though. The once navy one I have is now gray and the bill is burnt and warped (interesting story).

    ReplyDelete
  22. Is that the same band that's in the NE 2920?

    ReplyDelete
  23. My only issue with fitted AU caps these days is the blasted Tiger Eyes logo on the back. I want one with either "Tigers" in script or "War Eagle" on the back.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't care for the tiger eyes logo either, thus my avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  25. YUM!!! Homemade Bananaless pudding for dessert!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Miller,

This one doesn't have Tiger Eyes on the back.

    ReplyDelete
  27. OK. I have made some progress in terms of getting the video better. The sound is MUCH better now. Still tinkering with some stuff...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Really like the look of this one. Block script Auburn across the back.

    ReplyDelete
  29. That second one looks great, PF.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The new video looks better to me, Jay. Looking at the fence in the background, it doesn't look as jittery as the previous version.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous4:57 PM

Yup that 2nd hat has SFC written all over it. Nice lid.

May the Hate be with you

    ReplyDelete
  32. There seems to be a bit of queer eye for the straight guy influence in this hat.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks for taking a peek, Steve.

I'm still here tinkering with it ...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Queer Eye? Hmmm. I hate those kind of hats, though. It's almost like they're trying too hard. I bet CH=B digs them.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I've taken another step forward on the video. Smoother motion. I hope you like it!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm not sure why but I like you PF.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Excellent work on the video JGT. It is really clear and sounds good.

    ReplyDelete
  38. So, Mr. Tate... I've just checked the latest news and see that you have been nominated for the following:
    Best Cinematography
    Best Costume Design
    Best Director
    Best Documentary Feature
    Best Documentary Short Subject
    Best Film Editing
    Best Foreign Language Film
    Best Live Action Short Film
    Best Makeup
    Best Picture
    Best Sound Editing
    Best Sound Mixing
    Best Visual Effects

I'm not sure about the costume design, foreign language or makeup nominations (try a bit more eye shadow), but the other Oscars are a lock!

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's a mistake. Nobody should ever like me.I'm a jackass.

    Eddie has spoke. Nyaaaaah.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I saw very few visual effects. I think he's got an uphill battle on that one. I hear Goldberg has lasers.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Are they sharks with laser beams?

    ReplyDelete
  42. there's hockey on and I don't care. Something's wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Seabass....but very moody ones.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That's a start.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'll say that Pawlowski speaking in HD is far more preferable than him speaking in tongues.

    ReplyDelete
  46. we can always ask Feng to translate for us.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The dockers commercial with a hundred guys marching through a field in their skivvies presents a slightly disturbing image.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I was in that commercial...

    ReplyDelete
  49. PF, check out the Aubie hat in my avatar.

It is my granddaughter's fav cap/hat. She breaks out in a big grin every time you put it on her head. But the amazing thing is she keeps it on her head even though she can barely see with it swallowing her head.....every other cap she grabs and flings off.

    Rylan loves Aubie!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hadn't said anything today about but I'd appreciate prayers for my boss, his wife and especially their 16-year-old daughter who was critically injured in a fall last night. The situation is touch and go at best.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Jet...thoughts and prayers sent their way with the utmost expediency.

    ReplyDelete
  52. G, thoughts with your boss and his family.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'm sure PF is going to call me gay for saying I watch Grey's Anatomy, but it's a pretty good show. My wife watches several shows I like so I gave here Grey's when it started a couple of years ago. With all that said we just watched the season finale and it may be the best single episode of any show I have ever watched.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Jet, my prayers of strength and peace have been lifted up.

    ReplyDelete
  55. ch-b.... no man should ever admit to liking Grey's.... It's nothing but a soap opera.
My wife watches it almost religiously...
The only comment I can make is that the chick that plays the main character's sister... is hot.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous9:24 PM

    Jet ...prayers extended.

CHB ...I watch Gray's w/ Ms.Hoopie. That finale was intense.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Miller, I would typically agree on shows like this, but it is actually a good show. The finale was very intense. As I said before I think it may be the best single episode of any show I've seen. Plus it never hurts to watch something the wife likes. It can have it's benefits.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anonymous9:34 PM

CH=B has a whole lot of sugar in his tank.

    ReplyDelete
  59. ladies love the sugar.

    ReplyDelete
  60. If there are any husbands on here that haven't learned certain tricks like that by now then you will never get it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. How was the Chuck finale?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous9:42 PM

CH=B = the guy who loves the next big thing

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anonymous9:51 PM

I watch Gray's with the wife and in return she is willing to leave early on Wed am to drive 2.5 hours to Bham and watch a baseball game. Then continue driving 4 more hours after the game.

Watching Gray's does have benefits. I am also allowed to make derogatory comments every time the show enters soap opera style.

When in my 30's-40's no way I would have watched the show.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Jet - prayers sent! Can you tell us what happened?

    ReplyDelete
  65. ch-b... do you watch the batcherette and fatchelor and those shows with your wife?

I will admit to slowing down as I pass through when my wife is watching those shows and the hot chick is wearing something skimpy...

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm stuck watching "Steel Magnolias" right now ... so I ain't hatin' on any man who watches something to placate his better half.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Can anyone tell me if Sheldon hooked up at the end of Big Bang Theory tonight? My stupid DVR cut off the last 5 minutes.

Oh... and a friend just pointed out to me that if you watch the show, always take time to read carefully the screen at the end that says Chuck Lorre Productions... even pause it if you have to to read it all... apparently it was a rant about anal leakage tonight... hilarious stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Good morning, Hotties! Headed to the airport for flight to Colorado. Have a great Memorial Day weekend and I'll check in when I can. Planning on making to back to see Auburn in the finals on Sunday :) Pull us through until then.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Morning hot ones. Ready for Thursday and a five day weekend to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Safe travels Cincy. Jealous of your trip to Colorado. Everything will be nice and green this time of year. Weather still might be a little strange, but Colorado Springs will be beautiful. Drove by Air Force a few times while living out there.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Oh, Jay G. No.

    Steel Magnolias?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Miller,

It ended in the coffee shop. No coitus yet.

    Steele Magnolias,

Apparently I have several family members who were either in, or their properties were in, SM. I've never seen it.

  73. From Twitter,

@ajcsportseditor: St. Pius DB Geno Smith has early scholarship offer from Auburn, one of Georgia’s top football prospects for 2012 http://bit.ly/cTWQDc

    ReplyDelete
  74. Just read what I think is my first article by Kevin Scarbinsky. He's a Bana fan, right?

    ReplyDelete
  75. PF- Kevin plays both sides. He can get under both fan bases skin at times. I don't think he is either a bamer or an Auburn fan. He has had lots of positive things to say about Auburn lately.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Going to be tough to get work today, or at least this morning with the game going on.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Also from Twitter:

    ReplyDelete
  78. Damn, game is tomorrow. I'm already fast forwarding my week.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Eddie,

That's tomorrow...unless you're talking about some other game.

    ReplyDelete
  80. AU practices from 11:10 to 12:10 (CT) today at Regions Park...all practices are open to the public.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I've managed to avoid Steel Magnolias this far. I'm pretty sure I can make it the rest of the way.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Man, Eddie had me thinking today was Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Fast forwarding your week is gonna make it a long week....especially with Disney looming.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Seanzie- Wishing it was Wednesday for sure. Yesterday was long and should have counted for two days.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I have Friday off and for some reasons those weeks last the longest.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Me too Seanzie and I agree.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Tuesdays suck. Someone please find me something redeeming about Tuesdays.

    ReplyDelete
  88. In re Scarbinsky ... his family moved from Pennsylvania to Ozark when he graduated from high school. He opted to go to Troy, stayed there for undergrad, went to Florida for grad school and went to work at the News.

He's the fairest columnist in the state with the most perspective. You can say that's not saying a lot, but Kevin is a good guy.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Thanks Jet and Eddie...he just came across as biting and condescending...guess he does that fairly.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Scarb writes with a sense of something behind his writing...I'm not sure if it's contempt, pity, arrogance or what but it seems as if he just plays the AU/UA game for the heck of it and then laughs when people get all up in arms over it.

    ReplyDelete
  91. FUTBOL

The US begins its World Cup preparations in earnest tonight with a friendly against the Czech Republic (on ESPN), followed by the unveiling of the official 23 man roster tomorrow afternoon.

    Cup fever. Catch it.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I've caught the fever.

    ReplyDelete
  93. FUTBOL

Who thinks Dempsey moves to striker for the WC?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Morning Hotties.

"Cup fever" actually sounds to me like something one would NOT want to catch, i.e. if you have cup fever, you'd better see your doctor asap.

    ReplyDelete
  95. the Braves play the fish tonite so there's something redeeming about Tuesday.

the Chuck and 24 finales were pretty good last nite. i would say both were satisfying. i hear rumor there was a 24 movie in the works. anyone else heard that?

    ReplyDelete
  96. How I Met Your Mother was good too...

    ReplyDelete
  97. FUTBOL

Sean...we'll find out a little bit tonight about the striker options. If Gomez or Buddle (I'm not sure they'll pair Ching with Altidore though it's worked in the past) show something (especially Gomez), then I Bradley will want to keep Dempsey on the wing.

But you're probably right, once we get to the games that count, Dempsey is likely our best option up top with Altidore. Or we might change to a 4-3-3 and put Donovan and Dempsey either side of Altidore. Ooh, that sounds interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm a fan of the 4-3-3 look as long as the guys in the middle can provide some cover for the back line...

    ReplyDelete
  99. scottieb - yes, a movie is happening.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I wouldn't mind seeing how it worked with Altidore, Demps, and Donovan up top. Then have Bradley, Rico Clark, and Feilhaber in the midfield. I think we could control the middle of the park a little bit better and still leave good protection for the backline.

The biggest question is whether the outside backs can provide width. If not, that might force Donovan and Dempsey out wider, leaving Jozy isolated.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Is Jozy good enough? I'd feel a lot better if we had a healthy Charlie Davies.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I think he'll have to. Jozy's only problem is consistency, and had Davies been healthy, I think that's an issue for him as well. They're both young.

In last year's Confed Cup, Jozy more or less manhandled Italy's, Spain's, and Egypt's backline with his physical presence but went missing against Brazil in both games.

He can do the job. He's just got to do it at the same level everytime.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I have nightmares of Rooney, Defoe, Lampard and Gerrard absolutely abusing our defense.

We'll see how it goes in about 2 weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  104. It could certainly happen. Then again, I thought the same thing about going up against the likes of Villa, Torres, Xavi and company last year.

It'll take a mighty effort and 90 minutes of high concentration, plus a little luck (not to mention a healthy backline).

    ReplyDelete
  105. Sorry if this article by Low from yesterday was already mentioned. The comments speak volumes about the differences in coaching philosophy between Tubs and Chizik.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Thanks ehyou. Saw that yesterday. I'm impartial to the hands on style of coaching myself, but I think Tubs' CEO style of coaching can be successful.

Indeed, it was for a while at Auburn. The only problem with it I guess is that is requires the right coaching staff underneath to implement the head man's greater vision. Also requires more talent than Tubs was acquiring towards the end of his reign.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Jet, my prayers go out to your Boss and family hope it turns out good for them.
Old addage "good pitching beats good hitting" especially in short series or one game tournaments.
Hope this does not hold true Wednesday. Bama has the pitching and Auburn has the hitting.
    Go Tigers!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Apologies if already posted ...

yesterday's baseball bracketology on ESPN had 8 SEC teams in the field, 4 as regional hosts (USCe, Hogs, Gators, AU).

    In the Auburn regional was:
    Auburn
    Virginia Tech
    Baylor
    Jacksonville State

Cousin Humpers to the Insecticide Regional in ATL

    Vandy to the UConn regional

    LSU to the Frogs Regional

Akbar to the Pitino's Restaurant Regional

    ReplyDelete
  109. SEC streaming live from Hoover in 30 minutes...look up a few posts for a link. Season awards to be announced.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Is there an award for the team with the most Ding Dongs? Or the longest?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Is that AU Batting right now? They're supposed to be, I think. I can't tell in that tiny little window.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hunter or Mummey must be batting. Bunch of really expensive cameras just appeared at the cage.

    ReplyDelete
  113. All SEC Team being announced.

    ReplyDelete
  114. ...and the feed dies. Nice.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Florida makes up half of the all-SEC team. They're gonna be stacked for several years.

    ReplyDelete
  116. All Defensive Team:

Trent Mummey is the only AU rep.

    ReplyDelete
  117. UF lovefest has begun on the show...deservedly, but I still hate it.

    ReplyDelete
  118. 2nd Team All-SEC:

    Ryan Jenkins
    Grant Dayton

    ReplyDelete
  119. 1st Team All-SEC:

    Hunter Morris!
    Trent Mummey!
    Brian Fletcher!
    Kevin Patterson!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Expensive cameras have disappeared from the cage...AU still taking BP for another 5 minutes or so.

    ReplyDelete
  121. AU getting some love...talking about how awesome the hitting is.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Previous coach getting some love for his last recruiting class...unnamed, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  123. SEC Player of the Year:

    HUNTER MORRIS!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Guys just described the field. Guessed at the dimensions because "it's not posted on the fence." Nice.

    ReplyDelete
  125. SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year:

    Corey Luckie

    ReplyDelete
  126. Paws got robbed for Coach of the Year....awarded to O'Sullivan from the land of the Jorts.

    ReplyDelete
  127. AU vacating the field. Ole Miss on next.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Hunter Morris to join the guys talking in just a few minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Guys saying Paws would've been deserving of coach of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Really proud of our guys.

Guys in this program...last go around...to have the opportunity to play here a great reward.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Great journey getting here.

Proud of their journey on the field and off the field.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Number one goal to get to the SEC Tourney...

TO see their faces waalking onto the field is a great reward for me.

    ReplyDelete
  133. {tomorrows game is) early, but once they see the fans and the atmosphere, they'll turn it on.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Going to the Children's Hospital over here in a few minutes to get a little perspective on life, then the guys will be able to start getting themselves together.

    ReplyDelete
  135. He's excited about playing the infidels...always a good atmosphere.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Tomorrow morning's session already sold out....should be a lot of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Talking about Hunter Morris maturing...and his work ethic continually improving.

    ReplyDelete
  138. "Supposedly, Coach, you're a pitching guy..."

    Paws laughs.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Some of the things that go unnoticed is the short game...we're leading the league in SAC runs scored, and have had a couple of squeeze bunts. The guys have done a great job with it.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Kids are excited to be here...and ready to play.

...as far as coaching staff, we've seen everyone but Florida... so we have a feel for each team.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Biggest thing is that it's going to come down to executing pitches,,,

If we can get out of the gate on the mound, we'll be in good shape.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Good things about Corey Luckie.

We appreciate all you guys do for college baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  143. "The irony (pause) of the Iron bowl (vocal rim shot"

    Groan.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Nice live-blogging.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Hunter Morris still coming up soon...apparently, reporters are keeping him.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Jay G has reached the internet...guess he didn't make the trip to Hoover for practice day.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Man boobs in an Ole Miss shirt just walked in front of the camera...Rebels are taking batting practice right now...Hopefully, they'll turn the camera around when your SEC Player of the Year comes on to talk.

    ReplyDelete
  148. ESPNU Shooting Hunter Morris right now, or as the guys talking said "Hunter Morris is still getting his glamour shots over on first base right now."

    ReplyDelete
  149. Drew Pomeranz on. I hope they ask him what it feels like to be the best pitcher in the SEC, then witness the Auburn Ding Dong.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Too much perspective here. My boss' daughter passed away this a.m.

    ReplyDelete
  151. live-blogging is pretty good PF.

    ReplyDelete
  152. yikes Jet. that's rough.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Seems like the feed has crapped out before Hunter could come up to talk.

    ReplyDelete
  154. who does this Ole Miss guy think he is? the SEC pitcher of the year? oh, wait....

    ReplyDelete
  155. Hunter Morris UP now PF!

    ReplyDelete
  156. Hunter Morris UP now PF!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Take it, Scottie. I lost my feed and can't reconnect.

    ReplyDelete
  158. always knew they were a good team.

was working real hard to reach SEC tourney. that was their main goal.

    ReplyDelete
  159. added emotion playing bama tomorrow.

thinks it's tough to slide in to a national seed slot. wants to win the SEC tourney to be in the top 8. thinks they've done all they can do to deserve a host spot.

    ReplyDelete
  160. going to be up at 6am ready to go!

they played at 10:30am in a make-up game vs. UK so it's not all new territory.

    ReplyDelete
  161. being able to be so hot offensively and batting over .350 as a team "is beyond me."

    ReplyDelete
  162. Gamache brings it every day.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Ryan Jenkins was sick to start the year but is on fire now.

    ReplyDelete
  164. that's a wrap on Hunter Morris.

    seems like a cool kid.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Colter Bean joining the batting practice broadcast!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Jet, I am so sorry to hear that. I have been praying for that girl and her family.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Condolences Jet.

    ReplyDelete
  168. They accidentally said Hunter Morris of Alabama. At least they corrected themselves a minute later.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Always in the shadow...we should annex Lee county. And by we I mean the state of Georgia.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Then there'd be the shadow of Jawja. Lee County should become the state of Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  171. yeah but...Georgia has more going on as a state than Alabama and has less cfb zealots. The presence of another foil to UGA also exists in Ga. Tech.

    ReplyDelete
  172. And Auburn has such a presence in Atlanta, it'd be like a triumvirate.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I kind of like the annexation idea. But, what about what is currently Chambers County, AL? You have to go through there to get to Lee County. I deal in the finer points of things daily so I need to know.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Norm, let's get a list of requirements together, document them my order or need/priority, meet with our advisers and get some feedback. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  175. wow I really butchered that. Should read "IN order OF..."

    ReplyDelete
  176. Will this mean AU will be Eastern time zone? I like it!

There might be a problem for the Alumni in the great state of Alabama who want their children to attend AU and pay in-state tuition, though.

    ReplyDelete
  177. They can move, PF. And it's actually more advantageous for them as Georgia has the Hope scholly.

    ReplyDelete
