Auburn No. 9 on ESPN's 2011 recruiting rankings

Hey everyone. ESPN just revealed its (extremely preliminary) 2011 recruiting rankings based on players the Tigers have committed.

Auburn's rank? Nine.

Not too shabby. I can't say much about it because, honestly, I know very little about what the other major FBS teams have on board. It's impossible for me to understand what Auburn is accomplishing relative to their rivals, but snagging Kiehl Frazier obviously is a huge deal.

  4. Thanks for all the threads today, JGT! I'm headed out for the weekend. Conecuh sausage on the grill in a couple of hours!

  5. I would think the ranking speaks well of the guys we have landed because last time I checked we had considerably fewer than most of the other teams on this list.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Looking at that ranking it shows us with two others? I'm assuming 1 is a Juco guy which ESPN doesn't rank. I don't understand why they do that.

  7. ehyou, we are tied for the 2nd fewest commits of teams in the top 10.

  8. thanks for all the reading Jay...consider me entertained and informed..how many days til kickoff btw?

but 44 fewer days than when I started keeping track.

    ReplyDelete
  14. the chances of Favre returning based off USM's CWS chances is fading fast.

pitching change in 6th. still 5-1 CU.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Wow!!! Jay G. may not be omnipresent, but he is coming close. Great news.

This ranking puts Auburn in great position. Last season's class wasn't ranked nearly this high at this point in the recruiting process.

    ChizCo keeps bringing it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. It is also very impressive that half the top 10 are SEC schools.

    ReplyDelete
  17. new pitcher doesn't help.

    6-1 CU.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Later Homies, it's time to commute.

    ReplyDelete
  19. bases loaded single nets 2 more for CU.

    7-1.

    another new USM hurler.

  23. We've got someone from Montana (is it Wisner?), Minnesota (Gayden), Missouri (Clark) and we have a Delawareian commitment. Very interesting geographic spread.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I hereby retract the "i"... Delawarean commitment.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Never underestimate the Delaware recruiting hotbed.

  26. well, there's a delay in the Clemson rout. lightning apparently coming towards Plainsman Park. they've rolled the tarp on the field but haven't unrolled it.

they're saying it's black on one side of the sky and blue skies on the other. no rain yet. it's a 'lightning' delay.

    ReplyDelete
  27. it's officially a woodshed beating

    ReplyDelete
  28. that's a mandatory 30 minute delay.

they're urging the fans to retreat from....nothing to underneath the stands.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "red/orange" thunderstorm just across I-85 from AU, moving east. Should be gone soon.

  35. Good. I would prefer he get life in prison.

    ReplyDelete
  36. With two large breasts tattooed on his back, if that would be possible.

    ReplyDelete
  37. top of 9th starting. If Faux Tigers can get 3 quick outs, these 2 teams can get off the field so the REAL Tigers can play.

Having said that, USM opens with a single.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Final:
    Faux tigers 10
    Favrelesses 1

    ReplyDelete
  39. Does anyone have the link to where the game can be watched online. It was posted earlier, but I have lost it in the flood of substance.

    ReplyDelete
  40. that was courtesy of AUnMobilz, btw.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think the pic will be frozen until they actually are about to start.

    ReplyDelete
  42. couple of thunderboomers passing to the east of Monroeville and Pine Apple, headed towards Hope Hull. These are on a NE course though, not easterly like the last one. Hopefully when they visit the Gumpians they will not turn right on I-85.

  43. Thanks THT and Mobilz

  44. UGGGHHHH.

The Infidels are beating the Phoenix (nee Fighting Christians) 9-1 with a rain delay in progress.

    I HATE UA-T!!!

  45. Clear sly in AU. Heading into the park in a few minutes. Sitting with cincytiger and spouse, miller.

Someone will blog a little of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Cincytiger married Miller!!! That's news to me!

    ReplyDelete
  47. 9th in the nation/5th in the SEC...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Somebody should be happy with # 14 on that list.

    ReplyDelete
  49. i must admit, my heart is hurting to be watching this via live stream tonight rather than in person

    ReplyDelete
  50. WERK, James Willis?

    ReplyDelete
  51. well, rats. little boomer just sprung up at Tallassee and is headed towards Loachapoaka. Hopefully will slide N of AU, but don't know if it's got bolts with it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. they haven't started on the internet; is it live or slightly delayed?

    just introduced AU lineup

    ReplyDelete
  53. Vandy beat somebody in 13 innings today. Where did that bracket link go...

"Tiger Terrace absolutely packed and the grandstands filling up as well. A huge number of fans outside the stadium"

    ReplyDelete
  59. Down 0-1. Whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  60. ugghhh. up 0-2 in count, walks bases loaded.

    ReplyDelete
  61. got out of it with only 1 run against us.

Time for the TIGER BIG BATS!!!

    Luckie threw 36 pitches

    ReplyDelete
  62. 0-1 after 1/2 inning.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I will be surprised if Luckie lasts two innings. Throwing Junk balls the first inning.
Bases loaded k for the visitors.

    ReplyDelete
  64. 2 up 2 down on 3 pitches

    ReplyDelete
  65. 4 pitches and AU goes down 1-2-3

    ReplyDelete
  66. 0-1 after 1 full.

    ReplyDelete
  67. at the current rate, it will take the Jax State pitcher 9 innings to match Luckie's 1st inning pitch count.

Let's hope that rate changes in AU's favor.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Bags is blogging a new thread upz

    ReplyDelete
  69. Nothing doing in the second for au. Looks like all of them are still swinging for the fence.
