GAME DAY, Auburn vs. Alabama
Hey everyone. I'm making the magic happen right now.
Come warm yourself with the HOTTEST Auburn blog on the 'net.
It's time to start speculating. Dennis Franchione has stepped down at Texas A&M, meaning Tommy Tuberville's name now will be all over the place until he either re-ups with Auburn or gets a job offer from the Aggies. Here are what some Texas (and one national) publications are reporting this hour:
SI.com's Stewart Mandel
HIGHLIGHT POINT: "It remains to be seen whether Tuberville is seriously interested in the job -- which seems like a lateral move, at best -- or is simply using it as leverage to land his own Nick Saban-like contract at Auburn."
Houston Chronicle
HIGHLIGHT POINT: "But speculation for weeks has strong mutual interest existing between Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville and Texas A&M."
Jean-Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News
HIGHLIGHT POINT: Barely mentions Tuberville.
It's a pretty frenzied environment here in the (fully loaded) press box. As you'd expect, there's a lot of chatter about Tuberville's next move. He'll meet with school administrators on Sunday or Monday to have The Talk. I'm looking for athletic director Jay Jacobs right now to see if any schools have inquired. He also may provide some scheduling insight.

Maybe he'll go back to Ole Miss.
Whatever... I like Tubervilles wins against Florida but he really hasnt burned up the SEC Championship or Natl Title placement. I wouldnt pay him Sabin pay to keep him.
Jay, rumors today about Houston Nutt getting sacked... woooooo. Another under achiever.

I posted my reasons no tears if Tuberville leaves on my blog... htttp://AuburnFootballStuff.blogspot.com
Oh and I think FSUs Bowden will retire after the Bowl game. Just think he has had it. Fulmer might get one more year with the KY win. He loses that game, he is gone.
I bet Nutt wants to get sacked: Cash out at Arkansas and get an easier job at a school with lower expectations.
Kentucky game was tough to watch.
The sixth sense? Why not? I put that one out there the minute the game ended last year. I have the sixth sense, Jay, Bill, whoever else cares to listen.
I also have a feeling that Borges will leave for a head Coaching job. With an offense not in the top 100... no big loss. THere will be 14 head coaching openings after the bowls. Already 6 or so.
Saw that Powers got bit by a security Dog. Why in the World are they so close to the field. I would love to be his lawyer. Why do they even need police Dogs.
