Third quarter: Vandy 14-13

Third quarter live from Nashville, Tenn. ...

  • VANDERBILT 14, AUBURN 13: That's a 68-yard drive. Five first downs, just rolling along unabated. Mackenzi Adams is working the Tigers' defense. Almost no pass rush from the Tigers with Sen'Derrick Marks out.

  • Looks like Jerraud Powers is out for the game with a hamstring injury. Neiko Thorpe is now in a full-time role there.

  • BIG UP to those who attended our pre-game and halftime Campfires.

Tommy just said he thinks guys have food poisoning because several are throwing up sick.

    Not good.

Also, said he must throw more.

    ReplyDelete
  3. That was ugly.... So what players are out?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Anonymous6:42 PM

    Nice 3 and out

Jay: Will you PLEASE find Tony Franklin and tell him to run the ball on 3rd and 2. This is getting extremely old!

  6. Anonymous6:42 PM

    Nickson must be out...

    ReplyDelete
  7. 46, 49, 94 and 8 still out.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Anonymous6:43 PM

    Man he can run...fast.

    ReplyDelete
  9. This is getting ugly...

  10. So Tuberville talked about food poisoning during that halftime ESPN interview?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Radio just said Powers is done for the night.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Anonymous6:47 PM

Tubs talked about food poisoning with Q on the radio.

TV interview was a synopsis by the reporter; he wasn't there live.

    ReplyDelete
  13. So starting QB's can't make heads or tails of the AU defense, but back-up Qb's come in to make significant contributions?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Anonymous6:47 PM

could be another famous Tubby mis-diagnosis

  15. Kenny Chesney looks like a midget...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Bosley back out. McCain in.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous6:52 PM

Kodi brought in for usual run or handoff duties.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anonymous6:53 PM

Kenny Chesney just said, "there are a lot of Auburn fans here. Lot of orange out there."

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anonymous6:53 PM

Big DOWN to the Auburn offensive line and OC.

And Kodi just totally told the defense what we were doing. This is another train wreck.

    Implosion.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well Kodi is in the game. Maybe that can bring some "excitement" to the offense...Never mind. Here is Todd. 3 and out.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Pointless change in personnel.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anonymous6:54 PM

I'm not able to see the sidelines. Does anyone know if Kodi and Chris communicate at all during the game?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous6:54 PM

    I agree, JGT.

Did Todd need a drink or something?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm gonna have to get very drunk to watch the rest of this.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did you see where Burns called Fannin over before his one play? I wonder if that was a function of Burns not knowing the play.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous6:57 PM

    JamesinBHAM,

    Get a bottle of water

Put in one of those kool-aid flavor packs.

    Take one drink.

    Fill rest with Vodka.

    Repeat twice.

    That'll get you through.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Actually Vodka is the drink of choice tonight.

You know every team develops an identity during a season. Maybe Auburn's identity this year is to just play ugly and win ugly.

Radio just said Marks is also done for the night. Swell.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Go Nieko. Hey is really stepping up.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not going well for the Tigers.

    ReplyDelete
  30. So what happens when Vandy is a point ahead because of missed field goal? That reminds me of...Florida.

  31. Anonymous7:06 PM

i am at a complete loss for words right now.....

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have a word... FUGLY.

  33. Anonymous7:09 PM

    3 straight 3 and outs!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anonymous7:09 PM

Jay, by fannin's reaction I think that was kodi's bust.

Love how McKeznie gave 1 CB, 1 LB, and 1 safety 5 seconds to get in front of their TE and he still threw it. And they caught it.

Franklin is in a funk once again. He has absolutely no idea what the defense is doing. This guy is killing us.
Will Tubs and Nall take over and run this thing or what?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous7:12 PM

Man, this Adams guy steps right up in the pocket.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I also think it was Burns' bust on that.

AC isn't playing very much, either. I wonder if he has the stomach thing.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anonymous7:14 PM

Go back under center and run or get Kodi in there to improvise.

Of course...now our D is getting out coached.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous7:15 PM

the empty backfield or one-back shotgun crap is killing me

    ReplyDelete
  39. That was huge. Auburn needed something to break their way.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous7:16 PM

i understand that most people on this board are trying to be positive, but i have to be honest, i am getting tired of a lot of things going on. i'm tired of being in the shotgun on third and two. i'm tired of watching a pass float in the air and coming back after i get my beer, take a piss, and grab a bite to eat, and seeing it drop. i'm tired of people talking about how todd did good enough. what ever happened to being better than good enough? we don't need someone to just go 3 and out and be satisfied just because he didn't throw a pick. every game we go in saying kodi is going to get more snaps and he is still on the bench. i know you will all sit here and talk about how negative i am and how todd is getting the job done but i needed somewhere to vent so oh well, we all have an opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous7:16 PM

    What a snap

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous7:16 PM

Blocked FG. and a bad snap to Kodi.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Burns running again. Run run run.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anonymous7:17 PM

Why did Fannin run out of Bounds?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Anonymous7:17 PM

Charles my man - Todd was perfect in the first half

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anonymous7:18 PM

I think that pass from burns to fannin may have caused the cialis to kick in for James in bhm

    ReplyDelete
  47. I don't know how that ball got into Fannin's hands. I swear it went through a defender.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Anonymous7:19 PM

    It is called zip Jay

    ReplyDelete
  49. me too, jay. Turned to my fiance and said "interception." She turned my attention back to the tv.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anonymous7:20 PM

    Auburn just can't block

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous7:20 PM

I'm not being positive. I'm being honest.

Our OC can not joust with ANY DC. Our O-line is scary undisciplined. Our pass defense is a cushion for the other team w/o Powers.

This is a mess. And it's not going to get fixed this seasons. A total realignment is needed and Franklin isn't the right man for the job.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Anonymous7:20 PM

    or catch

    ReplyDelete
  53. I have never seen so many dropped passes.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anonymous7:21 PM

We still make a ton of stupid mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Delay of game on an FG kick.

    Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous7:22 PM

Now we're punting. Guys, this is atrocious.

Is that the Lowder jet engines I hear firing up?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Anonymous7:23 PM

    ReplyDelete

  60. Anonymous7:24 PM

    Rough 2nd and 3rd quarters...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Anonymous7:24 PM

NOTHING has gone right since the beginning of the second quarter. Total loss of control in favor of....Vanderbilt.

The frustration is obvious with the "frustration" penalties.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous7:24 PM

What an undisciplined team - This is the main guys responsibility folks. Not some da coordinator

    ReplyDelete
  63. As someone said early, it's gettin' UGLAY for the Tigers.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Anonymous7:26 PM

why not go back under center like the 1st quarter for a bit? that was the only real offense we had today and then abandoned it

    ReplyDelete
  65. EVERY single coach at AU, including CTT needs to be fired ... right now ... effective immediately ... before the $th quarter begins. THIS IS THEIR PROBLEM AND FAULT. I have never been so disgusted in my fanhood. Is Doug Barfield in the press box Jay G?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous7:30 PM

Midfield meant something to Auburn even back in '07 and '06.

    Does it now?

We have two COMPLETELY different offenses and they don't mesh at all. I shouldn't be so hard on the O-line with that said.

Nah. Another false start on the OL.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anonymous7:31 PM

    what another penalty

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous7:32 PM

    I repeat

What an undisciplined team - This is the main guys responsibility.

    Does anyone agree?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Anonymous7:33 PM

    The is coaching people

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm serious. Fire everybody. Let the player's coach themselves. I think they could do as well.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Anonymous7:34 PM

We could drive it down their throat in the i and be done.....but we won't SHOTGUN ANYONE!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Anonymous7:38 PM

Jay G, Why have they not gone back to what seemed to work in the 1st qtr? Did Vandy adjust or are we seeing a battle of ego's.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Anonymous7:44 PM

I can only assume that since the end of Auburn Football as I once knew it is here that Obama will be elected president and Alabama will win a national championship.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous7:45 PM

Yes. This is coaching. Been saying it since week 1.
