Third quarter, AU 20-16

We're here talking about the third quarter of Auburn's game against Arkansas.

STATS OF THE GAME:
Total offense
AUBURN -- 83
ARKANSAS -- 337

Time of possession
AUBURN -- 15:02
ARKANSAS -- 29:34

  • AUBURN 20, ARKANSAS 16: The Hogs scored on a reverse pass from a wideout back to the quarterback. That was on 3rd-and-goal. Auburn's defense hasn't been all that effective today, I think you could say. The PAT kick was blocked.

  • AUBURN 20, ARKANSAS 10: Kodi Burns scores on a 3-yard keeper. The drive is prefaced by a fumble on Arkansas' kickoff return. The Tigers recovered at the UA 24.

just saw the highlight of Kodi's TD...he looked pretty pumped.

24-yard drive.

That's a long one for this team.

Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

sad, but true.

Blogger j0hnnyRingo said...

I thought it illegal procedure to change QBs mid series, at least that is what Franklin told me.

5:58 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Thanks to special teams and the D for setting us up in this game.

At least we did something from the goalline...which is rare this season.

Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Nice one, jr.

5:58 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Is Robert Dunn not playing again?

5:59 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

No go on Robert Dunn.

It's kickoff time for the #25 Ball State Cardinals vs Western Kentucky.

I just wanted to say #25 Ball state.

Tub looks pretty down on the sideline.

The offense needs to cheer him up.

fannin sighting!

6:01 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Wow, did Chris Todd really not look comfortable out there on that play.

6:01 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Todd fumbles a lot.

6:02 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

Maybe they can send him flowers, RK,'cause its not happening on the field.

6:02 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Moving backward.

6:02 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Well, again that was pathetic....

Derek Winter siting on that play though.

6:03 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Two questions:

What's the school record for 3 & outs in a season?

Have we already set it this year?

6:04 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Tommy Trott catches a pass for negative yards.

Man oh man.

6:04 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

war eagle RK, i'd imagine the previous record has been doubled.

6:05 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Apparently Zachary was wide open on that play and Todd looked away from him to throw to Trott for neg yards.

6:06 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Utterly pathetic there. WE blitz the whole team and get no pressure, have Bynes and Ethridge with the WR, and he breaks away for 30.

6:08 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Looked like Bynes and Eth kinda picked each other.

6:09 PM
Blogger bharris007 said...

arkansas will win....maybe petrino will stay in town

6:09 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

316 yards of offense for the lowly pigs.

Blogger Monica said...

They make it hard to watch.

6:10 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

AC's playing? first time I've heard his name today.

6:11 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

how the hell do you let that happen?

6:11 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Geez, how easy was that for Ark?

It seems when teams do a reverse we never think they could pass the ball.

6:12 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

1 rushing td, 1 recieving td............ would casey dick the most dynamic player on the auburn offense (even if he didn't play qb)?....... ugly, ugly......

6:12 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

heck yeah!!!!!! Special Teams in da house today (thank goodness).

6:12 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Is Ethridge still banged up? He hasn't played overly well from what I've seen today.

6:12 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

T minus 30 seconds until our next 3 & out.

6:14 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

Jay, how many tackles did Bynes have in the first half?

6:14 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Six tackles for Bynes.

McNeil led with seven.

6:15 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Another floater leading the WR out of bounds.

6:16 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Slaughter runs his typical out of bounds route.

6:17 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Who had a "three-and-out" there?

6:18 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

AK goes ahead here for good.

6:19 PM
Blogger j0hnnyRingo said...

Its either dropped our Out of bounds.

6:19 PM
Blogger Monica said...

Not only a floater, but a slow developing floater. A floater in slow motion.

6:19 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

We will have less than 100 total yards at the end of 3 quarters.

I have no confidence that we can score again without a turnover.

We have a total of 7 points in the 2nd half of SEC games this year.

6:19 PM
Blogger Monica said...

CSS audio going all poltergeist on me.

6:20 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

that play to slaughter is why todd should not play..... too slow to develop, too long in the air when he does make a decision

6:20 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Anyone else who is watching the game, notice that Arkansas is pretty much holding on every play.

Not being a homer, it's just silly how much jersey they are grabbing.

6:20 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Finally the D holds, maybe we can crack the 100 yard mark before the end of 3.

6:21 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

good job d.

6:21 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

BREAKING NEWS: Chris Todd's arm is weak.

6:22 PM
Blogger Monica said...

I agree with Jim Donnan. There's holding on every play. It's just a matter of it it gets called.

6:22 PM
Blogger Monica said...

Jay - that's why you get the big bucks.

6:22 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Aside from Dunn, any other WR's hurt since Winter is playing?

I see Dunn is in the game now.

6:22 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Just like his speed...

6:23 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

We have a Bob Dunn sighting.

6:23 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Nice punt thrown by Todd there into double coverage?

I'm guessing the safety had time to run from the other hash mark.

6:23 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

Since you're now front page worthy, you think you can save that breaking news for the advertiser tomorrow, Jay G?

6:23 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Well that's the game there.

6:24 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Here come the BOOOOOOOOOOOs.

Oh boy.

6:24 PM
Blogger Monica said...

If Tubberville calls me between quarters, I'm instructing him to put and leave in Kodi.

6:24 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Breaking news.."Chris Todd sucks"...

6:24 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

umm.........wow todd.......

6:25 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

83 yards of total offense through 3 quarters....If Ark scores here, it's probably over.

6:25 PM
Blogger bharris007 said...

wow, we've taken bad to a new level

6:25 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

I'm not quite sure who he was throwing the ball to there.

I'm pretty sure that Todd had no idea either.

6:26 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hopefully this means Kodi is in for the rest of the game.

Not that it will make a difference, or anything.

6:26 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Hey...Franklin brought him in right? What can you expect..

6:26 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Maybe burning the redshirt on Trotter isn't such a bad idea.

There is no way he could be worse.

6:26 PM
Blogger Monica said...

This is surreal.

6:27 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

What would Kodi have done there that would be any different?

I'm sure if he didn't scramble, he would have tried to force the ball somewhere.

6:27 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

Spencer Pybus is a player.

6:28 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Time of possession

29:30 Ark

15:30 Auburn

6:28 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

HUGE stand there by the D

6:28 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

What the heck would pulling Trotter's redshirt accomplish?

Oh, wait, saving Tubs' job.

6:29 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

the difference? Kodi doesn't float handoffs.
Todd floats EVERYTHING

6:29 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

20-19, that was the final score of the 2000 Auburn/Ark game.

6:29 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Maybe Trotter would give better QB play that would win games.

Which is what we should be all about.

6:29 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

A zip pass into triple coverage isn't much different than a floater into triple coverage.

6:30 PM

Tubs last days are upon him

6:31 PM
Blogger bharris007 said...

jay...why do you say caudle has no chance?

6:31 PM
Blogger SnowHare said...

This could be the worst offense I have ever seen in my life. And I don't mean overmatched, untalented in over their heads offense. I mean poorly played football, dropped passes poor play-calling, bad choice of QB. Kodi, where are you?

6:31 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Q just stated the obvious that neither QB is going beyond their 1st read.

6:32 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I'm tired of seeing Chris Todd on the field, I don't care who we play there as long as it isn't Todd. I would rather see Daniel Cobb.

6:32 PM
Blogger SnowHare said...

Thank the heavens.

6:32 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Burns back in, 2/7 for 21 yards and an int

6:32 PM
Blogger bharris007 said...

kodi just fell down, on a HANDOFF!!

6:33 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Daniel Cobb is better than both QB's. At least he played with confidence.

it is time to clean house. I feel bad for rhodes

6:35 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Burns really didn't get behind center and dig in on that one. I'm just glad we got the ball forward a yard.

6:36 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

Nice catch by Trott

6:36 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I really don't think Tuberville is going to be at Auburn next year.

6:36 PM
Blogger Jeremy Eubanks said...

first glimpse of good playcalling: QB keeper on 3rd and short.

6:36 PM
Blogger bharris007 said...

we just doubled our yardage for the game!

6:36 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

With that catch Auburn breaks the 100 yard barrier for the game.

6:36 PM
Blogger Jay G. Tate said...

I've got the fourth-quarter post up now.

6:37 PM
Blogger WarEagleRK said...

How many 2nd and 10 and longer have we had this season?

even Tate looks slow
