    Well, I picked Ole Miss 20-AU 10

I had the spread right and the numbers wrong.

I am tired of being right!

I am going to vomit. That is my postgame wrap up.

    Cya all.

  3. Well we have kept Kodi in and his is showing improvement but his choices lose football games.

    He throws too many int.

I am glad to see them continue to pass when it was working. Kodi just needs to progress much faster.

Gerogia and UAT are going to be really UGLY!

the death of the tuberville era, has to be..sounds redundant but true

    ReplyDelete
  5. Anonymous2:46 PM

    Losing season. Ouch.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Don't even want to talk...I am sick of it! I had to watch this during Doug Barfield

    ReplyDelete
  7. I will still go to the games to support the boys but I don't really care what happens to this coaching staff....pitiful play calling as usual

    ReplyDelete
  8. Anonymous2:47 PM

Well, I know Kodi struggled some, but he also showed some positive signs in the deep passing game. I wish he had started from the beginning of the season and maybe we would be seeing a more developed QB now. Not saying that WOULD have happened, but we gained NOTHING by playing Todd. Guess we'll never know.

  9. Anonymous2:47 PM

Well, we can maybe hope that this is the lowpoint.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Anonymous2:48 PM

It is time for the "pass the hat" campaign to begin. I am sure we can round up the $6+ million to get this coaching staff out of town.

    ReplyDelete
  11. From what I hear in the halls of AU admin,,,Tubs is fine if he cleans house.

He has earned the right over the past 8 years BUT he is going to have to cash in his JetGate chip to survive.

PS if he is gone I will bet Univ of Tenn picks him up in a heartbeat.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Why do they keep talking about getting better when we are 9 games into the season....it's almost over and we are still looking to get better?????

    ReplyDelete
  13. This staff has sucked the life out of this program.

    And the TALENT.

To look up and see two football players -- Hood and Pybus -- who were had no offers until signing day ON THE FIELD in a SEC contest in November speaks volumes of thei lazy-a** recruiting.

Clean all your stuff out fellas - All but Coach Willis!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I have found this teams identity...A WAY TO LOSE...they always find it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The d is very banged up... we have great talent, just hurt right now... on both sides of the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  16. does everyone copy bammer and play the hey song and say they just beat the hell out of the team?

    ReplyDelete
  17. As much as we are embarrassed now I thing spending 6 million plus is more embarrassing

    ReplyDelete
  18. War Eagle Girl. I'm with you. I don't care what happens to the coaching staff now either way. And I looooved Tubs.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Especially on the coaches side..

    ReplyDelete
  20. Asking Kodi to to EVERYTHING isn't fair.

Not being able to run the ball killed this team and it started when Tuberville hired that piece of crap slob Franklin.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Where Groves is leading the band in rammherjammer Auburn style?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Can we make sure Tubs leaves Oxford in a pine box this time?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous2:51 PM

$6 million is nothing compared to what another season like this will do to football revenues in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  24. War Eagle Anyway......I'm out and getting a life

    ReplyDelete
  25. To look up and see two football players -- Hood and Pybus -- who were had no offers until signing day ON THE FIELD in a SEC contest in November speaks volumes of thei lazy-a** recruiting.

    most excellent point

    ReplyDelete
  26. GREAT TALENT??????????

Sorry fella but I'm going to have to call shannanigans on that one.

Flip to CBS and tell me AU has anywhere near the talent on the field in Jacksonville today.

    Answer - heyull no.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Chis in LaLA land... lack of running is due to lack of Blocking which is sue to lack of coaching (read Nall) if it were Fraklin .... the we shoudl be runnign the sh*& out of the ball.

    We are not

    ReplyDelete
  28. Could this all be part of Tubs plan..? see..jetgate?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous2:53 PM

why did we not use our 2 TOs when there was 3-4 minutes to go?

    ReplyDelete
  30. You win with Jimmies and Joes not X's and O's.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous2:54 PM

    kodi boostin the stats

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous2:54 PM

Chris is right. We need playmakers on offense.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Don't injuries have something to do with who is playing? That is a serious question. I don't know why these dudes would be playing.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Sorry sir but I'm still trying to get over your idiotic "great talent" comment.

You blew your credability with that one there Sunshine Pumper.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous2:54 PM

there ya go, on the final play, dont even try to score, dump it off the middle. geeez

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't wait to hear the post game coverage...

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'll keep saying this - "Cleaning house" means CTT as well.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous2:55 PM

did tubbs just tell coach nutt "Good luck in your bowl game?"

    ReplyDelete
  39. And Leader, Nall has placed more OL-men in the NFL that you have teeth.

    ReplyDelete
  40. i am telling you, tommy tuberville just got the pine box he told those people they would have to carry him out in, pretty sure that there are a few people over there who have been waiting to be pall bearers for about 10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'll preface this by saying that I have never been a fan of Tommy Tuberville as a coach. I wasn't in favor of it when he was hired and I'm not in favor of him now. That said, he did a decent job with an NFL backfield in 2004...but he's peaked and AU under his leadership is a program in decline.

You can give Tubs more years but he isn't going to turn this around, especially with that school across the state sucking up talent. Much like Coker at Miami, Bowden at Clemson and Fulmer at Tennessee, the die is cast and it isn't going to get better.

I believe in AU and I believe we can get a top flight head coach to replace this one. We have some of the finest facilities and a top flight university. There is no reason we can't win an SEC championship more than once a decade, or at least make it to the SECCG. And that's all I have to say about that.

    ReplyDelete
  42. there are LAYERS of things wrong with this teams and it is NOT about this "one bad season"

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anonymous2:57 PM

    Much more interesting Post-Game Show

    ReplyDelete
  44. The Kodi Burns situation is depressing. We couldn't run the ball with teh looks they were giving us. It is depressing to know the reason they kept running despite the odds is that they new Kodi would give it to the other team.

Looked good at times but boy, is Kodi a far way off

    ReplyDelete
  45. Anonymous2:57 PM

Sorry guys. It will get better at some point.

I thought Kodi battled today, and played well at times.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anonymous2:58 PM

    Thanks, FSJ.

How did you get through this period for you team?

    ReplyDelete
  47. "The team across the state sucking up talent" isn't my biggest concern.

Neither team will win this league with talent from AL.

But the teams around AU - UGA, UF, LSU and UA - being good does hurt.

Auburn needs EXCITEMENT to get ball players and players need to feel that they can make the NFL if they come.

They don't come for anything other than the prospect of playing on sundays.

    ReplyDelete
  48. is this the "another point" that tommy was talking about? because there is one thing for certain we can't keep on as is.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Anonymous2:59 PM

disappointing isn't even scratching the surface of what i feel about the whole bbq gang there at AU, talk about turning a taco into a turd, they sure did it, didn't take long either.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anonymous2:59 PM

What happened to being able to audible? Why do they insist on running up the middle with 8 defenders at the line but throw when only 4 on the line. They are going out of their way to make bad decisions.

I honestly believe Tubbs knows he is gone and may have another job lined up and this is called payback. There is not other excuse for some of his decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  51. To look up and see two football players -- Hood and Pybus -- who were had no offers until signing day ON THE FIELD in a SEC contest in November speaks volumes of thei lazy-a** recruiting.

What it speaks to is the number of injuries that this defense has suffered in one season.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Anonymous3:00 PM

    K. Burns 27-44-319-0 TD-3 INT

    B. Tate 5 rush-35 yd
    K Burns 9 rushes-21 yards
    Slaughter 8 catches-130 yds

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anonymous3:00 PM

    Mr. Sensible,

I got through it with bourbon and a blanket.

    It's rough.

    ReplyDelete
  54. i forsee a jackie sherrill and MSU debacle coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Well I think offensively we took a step back today...or at the very best to the side.

Mainly because now we can see why Kodi didn't throw the ball too deep before...those three ints were as bad as you could throw the ball, mostly hitting the defender in the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous3:03 PM

    Don't think so Brian.

I feel safe in saying Tubs has a clean program here.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Looks like Tubs is putting the program right where he wants it.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Good call, Faker

    ReplyDelete
  59. aubiecat - Having two players who are MARGINAL at best talentwise speaks to AU's staff's sucky recruiting.

Sorry but injuries happen and when you can't come up with anything besides TRUE FROSH who aren't very good, you've not done your job.

    PERIOD.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yea..clean yes...but ruining everything else and leaving it in shambles. No doubt tubs runs a clean program..thanks sensi for calling me out on that.

    ReplyDelete
  61. "and the rest is silence" (wm shakespeare)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I wish you were wrong more often, Mr. S

    ReplyDelete
  63. I agree with Mr.S in that I think the program is relatively clean.

What we do have though is a Shula/Saban like mess from the past two years at bammer. CTT and his staff lost this team a few weeks ago and they aren't getting it back this year.

    ReplyDelete
  64. And they've left us with empty coffers

    ReplyDelete
  65. AubiCat, these guys have no business in being on the field for a SEC school in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous3:06 PM

I wonder if the team is totally lost, James.

    ReplyDelete
  67. We have nobody that I am confident in turning the corner and getting a big play. No playmakers at all.

The D plays well enough, but they are starting to miss more tackles.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous3:07 PM

amen to that, James. this team has little desire/passion that I can see.

    ReplyDelete
  69. How AU performs against UTM will tell us a lot. If we end up with a LAMO type scenario then yes, the team left long ago.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Thanks B - to have years under your belt in recruiting and you have to turn to unrecruited true frosh when someone gets hurt....makes no sense.

Well, it does. Says you're getting your a** beat in recruiting.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Anonymous3:08 PM

way way way way too many missed tackled all day, starting with OM's field goal drive in 2nd Qtr

    ReplyDelete
  72. Are we posting here or the campfire...i am confused...lol

    ReplyDelete
  73. Anonymous3:11 PM

    both right now

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous3:11 PM

just watched Tebow and Harvin run the option (which we were doing with Kodi & everyone) to run it in for a TD without being touched. wow

    ReplyDelete
  75. I should be really upset over t his one...but truthfully, at this point you almost expect it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Both Kristina...

I am out for a bit hotties. Gotta make a shopping run with the GF (which may be as painful as watching the game today).

    Catch everyone later...

    ReplyDelete
  77. Sensi..your comment?(In theory)..If your people tried to pull one on you and get you out of town before you even knew it, wouldn't you tuck that away for a rainy day? Tubs knew this day would come, and he is biding his time. He doesn't need the 6 mil buyout.. it gave auburn people a sense of security with him. I gave him plenty of time to put a plan in place. Just ask the ole miss people how truthful he is. Money is not an issue for him, and i think he is proving a point to all involved against him several years ago that no bad deed goes unpunished. Maybe i'm too cynical.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Our OL and WR's don't hold blocks long enough on running plays for anything to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  79. 233 yards rushing for Ole Miss

    ReplyDelete
  80. Anonymous3:13 PM

So Brian are you saying they were gonna run Tubs in 03 for violations?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Brian,

    You are too cynical.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Anonymous3:15 PM

    Brian,

That was just being unhappy with being ranked so high that year and then falling flat with a bad offense plan.

    Tubs is clean.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I know rk..i usually like to think like the devil's advocate.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Anonymous3:16 PM

    That's a big stat RK

Is that 3 200+yds rushing games for opponents this year.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Anonymous3:16 PM

yeah - Tuberville is so damn petty he is going to ruin his own reputation (which he cares nothing about since he also has no ego), just to get-back at a now-dead interim president, a now-gone (in more ways than one) AD, and the chastised trustee behind the scenes.

Sure. Absolutely. It is so obvious now, we just all missed the black helicopters.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Cool sensi..resepct your opinion..maybe just playing devils advocate is too much fun.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I don't think there is any attempt on the coach or the coaching staff to do anything but win the game. I know sometimes it looks like they aren't, but I guarantee they are out there doing whatever they can to win.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Anonymous3:17 PM

Bri, you are frustrated like all of us. It's cool.

    ReplyDelete
  89. get people fired up..dnatl

    ReplyDelete
  90. Anonymous3:17 PM

Georgia and bama are gonna be ugh-lee

    ReplyDelete
  91. everyone should go to the campfire

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yeah, we've given up 200 + yards rushing the last 3 games.

Say what you want about the offense, but the D isn't making tackles anymore either.

    ReplyDelete
  93. you know sensi, sometimes people do crazy things, and it doesn't hurt to look at both sides. You know..just we do every saturday..hope for the bes, and prepare for the worst.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Despite the 3 int, who would of thought that Kodi could throw that well? I wish we could just run the ball with any kind of authority. It's pretty hard when you're always playing for 3rd and long.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Anonymous3:20 PM

that hibachi express commercial is horrible

    ReplyDelete
  96. Anonymous3:21 PM

If we win next week, I hope Tubs doesn't talk about how much we came together.

Our defense should be good enough to beat a I-AA team.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I think the poor play of the defense is mostly do to the gaggle of injuries we have. It seems like they're coached to play very soft in the secondary. I thought the linebackers would be more of a strength this year. So far Bynes looks like one of the few bright spots there.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Mr. Sensible, I feel like we can beat UT Martin at least. I wasn't so sure a week ago.

    ReplyDelete
  99. verne said..."there is noise in the system at Auburn."..haha are you serious verne?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Anonymous3:26 PM

I hope so, AUWade. We showed signs at times.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Anonymous3:30 PM

we had 2 TOs at the end of the 1st half with plenty of time left. Why did CTT just stand there...

    ReplyDelete
  102. good question about the end of the 1st half and timeouts. One of the announcers was talking about it. I was thinking, do we ever use timeouts when we have the ball in that situtation. Why would it change today? This is Tuberville's MO.

    ReplyDelete
  103. The one time I remember that we didn't use the TO's before the half with 2 or less mins to go was against Arkansas in 2002.

Cobb threw an interception, Arkansas scored. 3 plays, punt. 80 yard Fred Talley run. 3 plays, punt, blocked punt, Ark FG....halftime.

    ReplyDelete
  104. re: Timeouts ... Tuberville said he'd have to go back and look at that. He couldn't remember.

(I'll get fresh locker room commentary up asap.)

    ReplyDelete
  105. The good, the bad and the ugly: We didn't blow a first half lead. Bad thing(s); we didn't have a lead to blow and lost anyway. The ugly will start possibly next week, but will definitely end with the last two games of the season. The problems that have plaqued this team from the start are still here. Number one, we cannot run the football. Blah, blah stacking the box crap...save it coaches. The one side of the line we should be DOMINANT in (the left) couldn't block my three year-old on a running play. I have listened to (and voiced many of my own) opinions for and against Tubberville and if his past successes should buy him a second chance and my final take is that after 10 years of great success, you simply don't have seasons like this. We have made a living under Tubbs beating teams with more talent (and losing at least one every year to those with less) simply by either outworking them or outcoaching them. Not this year. I'm not sure what difference bringing in a new OC is going to make. All these home games we have lost this year are on the road next year. Time to drink myself into oblivion....

    ReplyDelete
  106. Later hotties..there is a tear in my beer and I need to finish it.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Anonymous3:40 PM

He said in the lockerroom interview that fact they just couldn't get anything going was the reason that they didn't use their T.O's at the end of the first half.

    ReplyDelete
  108. He did that interview after he talked with us ... I guess he gained some clarity.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Those timeouts Jay at the end of first half....absolutely unforgivable. You are basically saying to your team: I have zero confidence in your ability to get into scoring position with three timeouts and 34 seconds from nearly midfield. Guess what, I as a fan and alumn subsequently have no confidence in this coaching staff to put our players in a position to win a freakin football game.

    ReplyDelete
  110. He did that interview after he talked with us ... I guess he gained some clarity.

Let me take a shot at translation: Tubs is blowing smoke.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Did I see Swinton catch a pass today or was that my imagination?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Anonymous3:45 PM

Good point Jay...He probably had a chance to think about the question by the time he got to the locker room guy.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Anonymous3:47 PM

Well i have been a big supporter of Tubs, but i will have to say that it is time to go. This is the worst COACHED team that i have seen in a while. We have players, but mistakes are made all the time. Mistakes fall on coaching. Lets move on. GO EASTERN DIVISION CHAMPION!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  114. If I were Tuberville, I probably would just want to find a body double and sneak off the field from now on. My guess is that his thought process goes soemthing like "Oh crap, it's those reporters again. What kind of bs can I come up with now to get out of here?"

    ReplyDelete
  115. We have good players...we have no playmakers. We have nobody that's going to break a 70 yard TD to change the momentum of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Tulsa is over 400 yards and tied at 23 with Arkansas in the 3rd. In fact, Tulsa is now outgaining the Hogs, 405 to 364 with more than 150 yards rushing. Is Gus's offense for real? Sure looks like it.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Anonymous3:59 PM

    No, Wade. He caught one.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Anonymous4:01 PM

Wasn't Harry Adams supposed to be a blue chip WR? A blue chip with breakaway speed?

I think he actually played a little DB today..

    ReplyDelete
  119. Oh, that offense is for real.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Tulsa is losing to a bad Arkansas team.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Anonymous4:03 PM

    Welcome back Jay G

    ReplyDelete
  122. Anonymous4:04 PM

I went from finding it hard to believe CTT would be fired to finding it hard to believe he will not be fired. I mean really, how much longer can the power brokers let this continue? I am not a CTT hater, it is just obvious this is the end of the road. It happens.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Our offense had 400 yards today. Maybe we have a chance to show something now. That number is pretty impressive.

    Turnovers killed us.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Anonymous4:11 PM

My Tubs apologist light is still working.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Tommy Tuberville's Eulogy.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I think some of you underestimate how hard it is to recruit at AU. We are and will always be the second favorite team in Alabama. Thats just the way it is.

UGA will always have 1st pick in GA and UF/Miami/FSU will always have they're choice in Fla. Auburn is reletively unknown and in the middle of all of those schools.

CTT has done a great job of picking and developing talent. Look at the NFL for proof of that. What AU coach has ever done a better job of recruiting than him?

    ReplyDelete
  127. I think the offense took a step forward with still much to improve on. This is KB's 3rd start and he throws for 300+ yards. We all want to treat him like he's been starting all year long and he hasnt. He is still an enexperienced soph but he will be fine.

    ReplyDelete
  128. u know how pathetic it is to take a step forward and still only score 7 points? well, it's beyond discouraging let me tell ya.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I thought I saw Harry Adams at CB today too. Is he #14? Did we just burn his redshirt or has he been playing on ST? I was wondering who would go in when McFadden got hurt?

    ReplyDelete
  130. I feel you Scottie but we've score more and looked worse. 400+ yards of offense is an improvement especially with most coming through the air.

    ReplyDelete
