Recruiting syllabus
FRIDAY NOONISH
Post No. 1,017
Hey everyone. Thanks for visiting the HABOTN so frequently last night and this morning. I knew Thursday night would give us plenty to discuss. Gene Chizik certainly didn't disappoint.
One of the things he addressed was how these next few days will be exciting for him. This weekend ought to put a few gray hairs on his head.

That's because Auburn is playing host to some pretty significant prospects. Let's take a gander:
- WR Rueben Randle (Bastrop, La.): Star wideout. Everybody wants him. Auburn probably won't get him, but simply coaxing a visit from a 5-star recruit doesn't hurt the Tigers' cause.
- S Daren Bates (Olive Branch, Miss.): Lightly recruited until recently. Committed to Auburn with an Alabama offer in hand. He's teammates with OL Aubrey Phillips, who is a Tennessee commit who may be wavering. Speaking of him ...
- OL Aubrey Phillips (Olive Branch, Miss.): He has offers from everyone. He's a 6-foot-6 tackle. He told AuburnSports.com that he'll head to Auburn with an open mind. Phillips is one to watch.
- TB David Oku (suburban Oklahoma City): Elusive, compact back. Listed at 5-10. I watched him play a couple times on TV (I went to HS in Oklahoma and like keeping up with those teams) and he was willing to brawl between the tackles. Looks like a good one to me. He's a Tennessee commitment who is being recruited by Eddie Gran.
- CB Taikwon Paige (originally of Aiken, S.C.): He's a junior-college guy who was committed to Minnesota when Ted Roof was there. Paige doesn't currently have an offer from Auburn. Rivals.com lists Paige as a 4-star recruit, but he hasn't received offers from many (any?) BCS schools.
- DT Corey Gaines (Tallahassee, Fla.): Active, spark-plug kind of inside lineman. He has offers from a variety of SEC schools. He seemed to enjoy his visit to Ole Miss last weekend and says the Rebels are his leader. Auburn has several Tallahassee guys on the roster, so perhaps that can help the Tigers' chances this weekend.
- Other visitors include: LB Greg King (Memphis), DT Jamontay Pilson (Greenville) and QB Clint Moseley (Leroy).

On the flip side, Terrance Coleman, Jonathan Evans and possibly Brandon Jacobs are visiting UT this weekend. Matthews seemed unsure of what their staus was concerning AU. Demond Washington, he said could still go either way. Again, this is Brian Matthews on Sportscall. Sorry if this is old news.
Greenville defensive end Jomantay Pilson, an Auburn commitment since last March, is headed for junior college.
Matthews just said Brandon Jacobs was NOT going to visit UT and would be signing with AU on signing day.
HRM..... B-Matt thinks that UNC has told Farms if he visits AU then they will pull his offer... Interesting.
Fine by me as well... I'd take Farms for the OL at AU...
Didn't Pawlowski visit Jacobs about playing baseball for Auburn? Jacobs informed him he was already coming to Auburn to play football.
Does B-Matt know if Rueben Randle is in the house?
not confirmed yet who is on campus yet... I don't think they generally get on campus until between 5-8 this evening... I could be wrong though...
I really will be surprised if Randle shows up this weekend.
D Miller, picking up Farms and Phillips would be great pick-ups for the O-line. Matthews seems pretty confident that Farms will flip to AU if he visits. Missed on the part about UNC pulling the scholarship if he visits. Sounds like a scare tactic to me, but we'll see.
I think its about time for a Crown n Coke HOTTIES!
Looks like I missed out on some great dialogue in the last hour or so.
HABOTN = how funny Comedy Channel would like to be
biting puppets on a stick and kickers eating steak, or something to that effect
I fully expect, in my desire not to get my hopes dashed, that RR won't be in Auburn this weekend. Someone please tell me how wrong I am.
I'm with you THT. Hopefully we will both be surprised this weekend! Sounds like there are some good ones visiting.
The Sportscall host just said there was talk of Ensminger going to LSU after signing day. Has anyone else heard talk of this happening?
Moblz... I'll take one of those if you're mixing them up...
Welcome to the HABOTN ... the only blog on the internet that can combine sports and a Soylent Green reference.
Amazing!
can someone please explain how a kid who snaps for kicks on this field in the north Milwaukee suburb of Whitefish Bay ended up on a recruiting visit to Auburn. I mean, I welcome him with open (and empty, i.e. no scholly) arms, but there must be some connection.
THT... supposedly Roof was 'crutin him to Minnysota
So, with this many recruits showing up, will we have room in the recruiting class for them?
ok HOTTIES,
I'm out to the Jazz Club to listen to some Blues and Jazz. and have me some drinks.
Holla at you guys tomorrow...
PEACE Y
One visitor this weeknd according to Scout is Michael "War" Eargle, from Elizabeth, NJ by way of Lackawanna JC in nearby Scranton PA. He played QB at LJC, but is listed by Scout as a DB.
Looks like CGC is going to make sure we use every allowed official visit. I'm sure he's holding one back for BB. I guess he'd have to hold 2, BB and his agent.
Zteve, I get the feeling the recruiting situation is very fluid at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of switching between players after this weekend. Some as a mutual decision, some not.
Haven't heard anything about Robert Cooper out of Daphne who has offers from AU and USA. Anybody else hear anything?
Cooper has a Grayshirt offer... I think...
mobilz, here's hopin' you here some "kinda blue". other than that, coltrane.
meant "hear".
I think the next HABOTN item for sale should be a wall poster of the G's new avatar. Or maybe a house flag.
I wish Jet had not threatened JZ. His Kicker on a Stick logo is ausome, but now its reveal has been delayed.
Monica ... it had to be done.
It did not yield a logo by 3:00 pm. = faulty strategy
10 min to Monk. The story lines are getting weaker and weaker, but I still love the guy.
And wounded JZ's sensitive soul...
What price logo?
THT you know I live in Huntington and not Parkersburg, right?
Has anyone heard from j-z since 3:30, and if not, Jet do you have an alibi?
Jet was with me, we were in the kitchen playing with a candlestick with Colonel Mustard
Yes, but I was having a brain fart and didn't want to click the "back" button. I stared at "Parkersburg" for 5 seconds knowing it was wrong. But I'm sure they got snow, too! Plus, I'm not sure I need to live that close to the Omnica!
THT - You don't.
JZ is alive and well and in possession of a killer KOS logo.
What is going on with Joel Kight? Dude committed to Ole Piss around 6 this evening... then within the hour he decommitted... weird!
Monica ...
If he turns up on a stick, well, then the rest of you will watch yourselves accordingly.
Omnica ...
I had a brief convo with him ... he's tellin' me it's being modified slightly. I think he's ducking me, and well I'm not a man that tolerates that level of disrespect, particularly from a junior like J-
Z.
Mon- I've actually been to Huntington, most recently last year (Feb?) when it was in the teens and bajillion mile/hr winds. I've never been to Parkersburg. Not sure why it popped in my head.
At 3:30, I was fishing ... on the Alabama River ... by myself ... somewhere near Prattville.
marionettes...puppets with feet
Did the Big 10 get kicked out of the BCS?
Peter Luger's. Fantastic steak. Carolin Roadhouse. Quality chicago style steak for affordable price.
Mikal. Bravo pop culture reference for HABOTN season 7.
Hmmmm...it looked good to me. Just sayin...
Tar - why were you in Huntington?
Thanks Eubankbummer. I was in the zone. That's what happens when it's the end of the work day and my blood sugar is low and I have a bit of a headache and things just start happening.
I find marionettes perfectly normal. It's those haughty puppets with no feet that make me angry.
Tar - Monk and Natalie are going to hook up.
Oh, I know he's yanking my chain, Monica ... and I shall respond in kind.
yep; I guess when she stops calling him "Mr. Monk" I'll have to hide my innocent eyes.
Leland can't park
She may keep calling him Mr. Monk...wink wink
is Friday Nighy Lights season 3 available on iTunes?
Sounds like Randle may not be visiting after all... Surprise Surprise Surprise
I just watched every game and practice video available on Tyrik Rollison. It leaves me with a warm, tingly feeling all over. We haven't had a guy like that in years ... maybe ever.
If you are on the internet, and Randle doesn't come ... does it make a sound?
...and may never, Phred.
Mon - forgot the other part...
Miss THT and I were on our way home from a weekend trip to Columbus, O to watch UNC tennis. Pulled off to fill up and drive by Marshall campus. Too cold to wander around looking for a Marshall shirt.
ahhh very cool- Did you get the shirt?
I'm taking call-ins at the office tonight ... due to the economic downturn.
Word?
Nope, it was late Sun afternoon and we still had a long way to go.
Let me send you and Mrs. THT a Marshall shirt!
Hotties - gatiger and the missus have just returned from dinner without the gatigercub. I've spent another 20 minutes or so further convincing the missus that I'm a raving lunatic while I get caught up on my HABOTN reading.
Puppets, KOS, Steaks (gatiger had a contribution there) Soylent Green (that was 100% me), J-Z being a major league slacker, this is all truly great stuff.
Michael - you bring yersef on down to da A-town, this is for you -
"DO NOT CLICK IF YOUR NAME IS NOT MICHAEL"
But I wanna click it, gatiger...
y'all are mean to poor, defenseless JZ.
Jay G, what's the nature of these call ins? Can we turn it into the HABOTN party line and tie up all of the lines so that the normal purpose is compromised?
GaTiger ... how 'bout my world tonight?
Mrs. Jet and Stewardess are at Hairspray at the Gump Center for Really Fine Arts.
Turbo is off bein' Turbo.
My and the KillerAttackPoodle are watching Rider-Loyola (md) on the U and lurking around HABOTN.
But I did have some ice cream and chocolate syrup because my man TarHeel said it would help.
Good times.
Personally, I think Columbia, SC is too far north for me. It is 43 degrees outside. Bah!!! I want 70s at least.
well....sounds as if the superstar visit list is dwindling...
Jet - I've had those nights and really enjoy them. The missus usually has a meeting in da gump once a month so I can count on at least one or two nights of just me and the Golden Retriever. I've come to really love those nights. I also really love when they're over so...
At this writing, gatiger cub sleeps soundly while the missus is in the cave downloading some tunes (legally???) leaving me and the Golden to watch Gangland on HistoryHD with a local flavor.
Omnica - ok, you can click it.
DM, who has canceled on the visit list?
Steve. supposed to be 39 in Tampa tonight....still okay in extreme south Florida, though.
Canceled visit ... or postponed because of ice?
I didn't say I wanted to click it. That was someone else.
HA @ "Really Fine Arts"
Peter: I like the idea of hogging the phone lines. That would make my life better right now.
I'm 99% sure Oku is on campus. He's the "big name" Auburn needs most in my opinion. Him or the Mississippi OT.
Omnica would probably be better suited to give 1005 confirmed answers....
From me reading tea leaves (meaning, I don't have a Rivals subscription, just read into subject lines)... It sounds as if Randle's HS coach wouldn't allow him to take the trip. I'm not sure if Oku made it in or not (seems to be some doubt and conflicting reports)...
BUT, it does sound like Farms and Philips are on campus.
lol @ Bob Costas - He did a good job.
it sure helped me, Jet.
Mon - Thanks, but I'll get me one eventually.
How on earth did Bob Costas deliver those lines with a straight face?
DM, great job adding color to the kicker on a stick. Here is my update. -->
how about a type in ...
I've got the HABOTN-al.com game.
HABOTN 97, al.com 41.
leading scorers for HABOTN each with one point each were ... Michael, Mobilz, Monica, gatiger, Zteve, PF, Hoopie ... etc.
al.com was led by some inbred knuckledragger wearing a wife-beater, but I couldn't tell you which one it was.
I agree Jay. More interested in Oku and Phillips and Farms.
A HS coach has to allow a kid to take a visit?
Aubie - at least that doesn't make me go OUCH.
I do like Monk. This is the last season. It's probably not an easy character to play. Costa did a good job.
On recruiting note, how does a coach forbid a player from visiting a school?
But Monica, he's honestly interested in the kid's welfare.
CRAP! Pens up 3-1 in 3rd and lose to Devils in OT. I've already had the ice cream, maybe I'll eat some cereal now to make myself feel better.
Yeah Monnie, the old kicker on a stick reminded me of my stay in Atmore.
Aubie, bad things can happen in Escambia County
IF we can land Blake then Randle can take his Les Miles arranged paid internship at the LA state capitol and go to LSU.
I want Oku, Farms, and Philips out of the group visiting (or supposed to be visiting) this weekend.
Aubie - I think I might like this version better than the first, but I'm not sure how well it translates to those out of the loop. Will they immediately be struck with fear or will they just get a crick in their necks? Either way, I guess it could have the desired ultimate outcome in that it negatively impacts their ability to perform on the field.
(that's what she said!)
Jay G, you know the Hotties are interested in making your job easier.
Anyone got an Auburn baseball preview?
I'd give David Oku some cash to come to AU...we need him the most there is no doubt.
Why did Bastrop coach let the OL visit a few weeks back?
jhag,
tact. subtlty."handshakes".....study up.
Maybe Oku is in town.... dangit I dunno! I'm having an internal debate on wheter to sign up for the 7 day free trial at Rivals or not... I'm afraid I'll forget to cancel.
wheter = whether
I'm going to have to go visit that high school coach. He's genuinely ticking me off.
D. Miller don't be such a cheap ass.
Omnica ... DMiller's a poor state employee ... don't be hitting too hard.
Hello Everyone...Jay G great spot. Glad to be a part...I think.
Monica/Kathy....My understanding is that if Randle spends the day traveling to Auburn then he has to miss a school day. If the coach doesn't approve then it is considered truancy.
We get Jay G for free. Who needs rivals?
And gatiger: why would you link to a satanist voodoo website on tha BOTN? Not cool.
Hey Slim. Welcome.
That's his choice, Jet. Rove can explain all that to you.
Miller - Bryan Matthews says it's been confirmed that Oku is in Auburn now.
Hey, Slim. Where's None?
That's awful. Welcome to the fray.
Monica ... we're just big gubmint employees waiting to be stimulated.
Rove is yesterday's news ... plotting his comeback.
Welcome to the HABOTN, Slim.
That's a pizz poor excuse re: Randle coach.
Not being cheap.... If I had disposable income I'd do it in a heartbeat... like Jet said though, I'm a poor state employee...
Sorry, Jet. Guess that went over your head.
I appreciate the update though...
Welcome Slim. Don't really think truancy is the issue with Randle and his coach.
You're always more than welcome and I think you know I'm just yankin your chain.
Most things do, Mon.
It's OK,Jet. No biggie.
So I just hear a teaser on the TV regarding a winter storm that will affect the Huntsville area Monday with snow accumulation. We have a better chance of signing Randle!
Kathy.... can you send some of that snow down to the Gump?
Mention snow and WSFA will go to round the clock screaming and fear mongering. The grocery stores will be empty by midnight.
We haven't had snow in years. It usually goes all around us. I think Auburn has gotten it more recent than Huntsville. All the milk, eggs, and bread will vanish from the grocery shelves this weekend.
The fact is Randle's coach CAN'T keep him from coming. So, what's the REAL deal?
Agree completly Kathy...Good excuse though for a high school coach hoping to make the jump to next level soon...eh?
Monica ... he was kidnapped by a man with a goofy hat.
Sounds like some pretty shady stuff going on down in Bastrop!!!
Just got in from Dinner with the local crew. Otis Redding at the 1967 Monterrey Pop festival is on Public TV.
Read all +/- 300 posts. Kicker-on-a-stick logo is coming along. Jet...keep the pressure on J-Z, we expect no less.
Best Steak....The Palm in Manhattan. Second best.....Tio Pepe on Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater, Fl. Third....Bones in Atl.
Think Tall-Fast WRs and Big ol' OL. Fix the WRs and AU can rebound quickly.
Hope having D. Bates commit will give us the upper hand on his buddy, A.Phillips.
I need a radio job for my furlough week. Anyone have an idea?
How does signing day go down? Does it start early and go all day? What's the deal?
Have J-Z earn his way back into my good favor by clanking Amos and/or Bag in the kneecap with the retractable baton?
Jay, the state needs a Auburn voice statewide to crush FineBOMB!!
Wagyu beef or grass fed beef = the best steak you will ever put in your mouth. If I'm wrong I'll send you a check for what you paid.
Was Randles' coach at Memphis during the Albert Means Era? I sense a disturbing similarity here.
Jet: Do you think Randle is Curious George? I say the yellow hat is goofy.
Or worse yet... he has been kidnapped by the Hottie favorite Turd Ferguson!
I'll take anal bum cover for $200, Trebek
A tribute to our NW a school systems.......2 years ago, snow was 100% forecast for the next day, so school was cancelled.....Not one flake fell.
I've seen significant snowflakes on 10 different days this winter with no accumulation yet.
Jay, what about Sportscall on 93.9? Cameron is a real pro and the other guy is...replaceable. Would you consider them?
Is there any word on DeAngelo Benton? Has he been silenced by the Bastrop coach also?
I only listen to XM radio so I don't know any of the local radio sport shows. They are just all Bama, so biased. We definitely need a good Auburn voice.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but since high school football is over and these kids are seniors, how are they still under the thumb of the high school coach? They've taken their last snaps in those unis...I think Monica is right, something else is afoot.
Dan Peck does a fine job in Auburn.
Monica: We're wondering the same thing about Signing Day. Typically, we got information beginning around 9 a.m. I'm not sure how this staff is going to handle things. We haven't had a lot of access.
Kathy, I'm with you. "SiriusXM" is all I hear in the car. 80s on 8 and Alt Nation and Hair Nation for me, thank you!
Mon...seasons past...the fax machine starts whirring in the am. The solid commits fax in early. Mid-day the "cap- pickers" go on ESPN and get their 15 minutes.
Hopefully we will get a few surprise faxes.
Wonder if the kids can now email instead of fax?
Does sportscall have some sort of host rotation? Cameron and Dan are fine ... it's when other doofi are on there that it gets pretty weak.
Michael - it had to be done.
Jet - I can see it now, snow in da gump = Rich, Skinny Dan the Weatherman and whoever else they have there now all holed up in the Stormcenter just in case there's some sleet or something. They're there for you.
JGT - you definitely need a radio gig to counter that other boob who claims to be a writer and by that I mean specifically the jerk from the Ham. Your appearances on 740 are excellent stuff, even those in the morning hours though I know you're not their biggest fan.
I had enough snow today I could have shared with you, Kathy.
My snow today
JGT.....If you can manage to replace Mindbomb, I will pledge to link to the show every a/noon.
Since I live in Ga...that may not carry a lot of weight with sponsors.
Gatiger ...
With Dan .. I can see it ... it snows on Mnday ... we get a foot ... by the time he figures out, it's two Thursdays later, and it's melted.
The van needs to come get him. There's a shuffleboard game at the home he's missing.
HA @ "the cap pickers" I hate that whole cap picking fake off thing too.
I think I'm just going to have to take signing day off and camp out on the HABOTN.
Cool video Mon (pun intended)! I don't mind snow every 2 - 3 years for a day or so, then I'm ready for the warm weather to move back in. I'm definitely a southern girl. I prefer the heat and humidity!
Hoopie - ditto x 2.
Jet, best I can tell Bill is off on Thursday, normally, and his fill-in is one of the hosts from sports-x or sometimes I hear Brian Matthews. Personally, if Cameron is gone I rarely listen unless there is breaking news. I guess we all have our own opinion on radio personalities. I still remember when Andy Burchamp was on and he took it personal(I thought) if a caller didn't go along with the company line.
Depressed ... I'm with you ... no Cameron ... I'm probably not going to listen.
I passed by today and they're talking pro baseball, and I'm like ... WHAT????
I grew up in Prattville. Is Skinny Dan aka Dan Atkinson of WSFa fame?
He did the a/noon kiddy shows when I was growing up. Of course Phil Snow did weather b/c Carl Stephens did sports.
Yea! I just checked my schedule and I'll be at a work site on signing day where I can do some serious HABOTN watchin'
WARRRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
Hoopie ... yeah ... he's back on WSFA ... he's proabably in his early 60s now ... seems older on the air ... very slow talking ... struggles on the bad weather live shots.
He hosted Young World with Marge Payne.
Hotties and Host - now has come the time to say goodnight to all your company, gatiger is tired and gatiger cub won't care about that when he wakes up expecting cleaning, food, play, etc. Saturdays = gatiger and gatigercub time while momma lioness gets a few hours alone. All this requires rest which I need now.
Peace out.
Nite gatiger. Enjoy that time with cub. They grow up so fast.
So who all is frustrated with this Rueben Randle runaround, I mean dang kid if you're not going to show just tell people you're not coming. It's not rocket science.
Whatever happened to Phil Snow? Maybe I missed something, but I thought it was a disgrace the way he was released from his AU duties. Thought he deserved better.
so randall hasn't shown?
Depressed ... He's retired ... grown a beard, last time I saw him ...
phil snow is a bird watcher in montgomery
I don't get frustrated with it because they are kids and it just is what it is. I do, however, get ticked off by people like that kids coach and Bryce Browns "mentor". The adults around the kids who are working hard to be the first to make a buck deserve to be on a stick...no, a telephone pole old school style.
OH and the parents who allow the "coaches" and "mentors" to swoop in like vultures. Where are these kids mama's and daddy's?
locked up!
Well the mom's and dad's are the biggest kool-aid drinkers around, therefore they listen to the "experts" like BB's mentor and RR's coach because they think they know what's best. Unless you're Ray Cotton's dad they you act as both.
Thanks guys, used to love watching Phil and Coach Dye on the AU Football Review. Man, those were some good times.
Thanks Jet. Weems I saw Dan on Weather Channel for a short time a few years back....then poof..gone.
Gotta go nitie nite. Gotta go show a hillbilly grading contractor how to read plans and layout a project tomorrow.

Goodnight Hotties.
Goodnight everyone! Let's hope for a successful recruiting weekend.
Hasta manana.
Found out tonight that West Brom Albion, an English soccer team, has a cool nickname. They're "The Baggies."
I need to get something for Josh Moon.
Sponge in late. Off subject, but I just saw some highlights of Tracy Rocker back in the day (my day). Man, he was good. I don't remember us having any other tackle like him
Jay. You said the scribes don't have much access to this staff. You think that's by design, or just cause all their focus is on cruits right now. Also, do you think access to Tubs helped him out in his time of need or no?
Jay G...get on Around the Horn on ESPN. I think you could take Woody Paige.
Omnica - saw "Husband's revenge"... that was classic!!! I'm sure you will never forget it, either!
I think access under Chizik is going to be pretty limited. What does that mean for you? Less stories. Can't write without quotes.
If the coach is also a teacher, he very well could still have some control. Someone mentioned that he wouldn't excuse RR from class. If the coach is a teacher, or has other teachers in on it, it could affect the kid's grades and possibility of getting into college.
Jay G, call up some Clearchannel stations. I have a feeling, with the amount of talent they laid off recently company wide, they're looking for fill-ins. I heard some of the guys in Tampa have been double shifting it. Not sure if that's true, but wouldn't hurt to find out.
374 posts....this is one hot blog.
JGT - I'll see if there is something available 45 min south of the gump.
Jay. The Chiz doesn't seem to have the personality that tubs had. However, Tubs may have been better off sometimes if he had not been quoted so much. he had a tendency to say things that made you go... Whaaa. Why would you say thaaaat.
Chiz' approach is to the point. Little emotion, business-like. Save all the energy for on the field.
Randle's coach is one HUGE SOB!
I'd bet my house Kight is coming to Auburn!
RR's coach is trying to get in the good graces of the Hatter, so when the next job comes open, Miles might remember the coach who helped him out.
{Cleveland} Vury vury nice lineup {/Cleveland}
The big OL is intriguing with his teamate committing yesterday.
Any new news on Blake?
DUNAWAY AND BROWN
jay, you stated earlier that a recruit might not have shown due to an ice storm. Is that fact or merely speculation?
PC: He made it. I was talking about Oku.
I LOVE my new cable - HD LIVE MUSIC!
Although, R.E.M. is having a hard time living up to the Who in 68 Isle of Weigt.
Keith Moon was a madman.
Oku didn't use this as an exscuse NOT to come, that coulb be a big deal. Is there a HOME Bball game tomorrow? And against WHO?
JG - I hope you make the Dunaway and Brown crew a regular gig - class acts when compared to the crap elsewhere.
And I think we get the Olive Branch OL - Phillips.
what's the most comments for 1 post so far?
And Jay - on a serious note, would you mind asking Rollison and maybe some of the other ball players wwhat they think of mingling with fans on FACEBOOK?
I noticed Tyrik's got tons of AU people wishing him well but what's his feeling about it? And Mario Fannin as well. He seems very outgoing and actually invited me to a Online SB party tomorrow night.
PC - we had one go over 700 I think.
Check out the interview Matthews had with D&B on 690 in B'ham today.

OMG - have any of you guys (still awake) seen this from Steve Spurrier??
Quote from the ol' Ball Coach.
“I honestly don’t think king Nick will ever leave Bama. They are the perfect match. A guy with no conscience and no ethics, worshiped by a fan base too stupid to value either.”
where did you find that nugget?
If you have a link, please send it.
Randle and Benton article.
http://www.thenewsstar.com/article/20090130/SPORTS/90129052/1006
OK... only place I see that Spurrier quote is a message board. I think I may doubt its legitimacy a tad.
It's late.
Let's get it to the next page. Who's with me?
No, that is impossible. My client is incapable of choking a rabbit, much less his own wife. No, seriously, the first time he went crazy, he tried to choke a rabbit. He wasn't strong enough. My client is a weak man, your honor.
I used to play flamenco style guitar for the house band at Randall's. But then I was doing a puppet show, and this crazed fellow in a red jacket attacked me and bit my fingers off. Now I make a living scrubbing these floors. Have you tried to scrub with no fingers? It ain't easy.
I'll take the duck and the otter. What do you mean the otter isn't for sale? Everything is for sale. Name your price. Can you not talk? Wait, are you not a magic fish after all. Well, I must say, I feel like an idiot.
They say 400 men walked up that hill and never came down, but I know that story ain't true. My pappy was in great shape, and quite fidgety. He didn't walk nowhere, he briskly jogged.
