Hey everyone. I have three days remaining in my Gannett-mandated furlough.

Please feel free to discuss issues as usual in the comment section. I hate this it has come to this, but it has. I blame greedy consumers. If we'd all narrow the chasm between what we want to afford and we actually can afford, our world would be happier

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Gene Chizik’s story began on the obscure Pacific island of Okinawa, more than 16 years before he was born.

In May of 1945, after a weeklong battle that resulted in more than 7,000 allied casualties, 140 Marines went up the hill in the face of withering Japenese fire. Twelve returned. One of them was Gene Chizik Sr., who would be awarded a Bronze Star for his bravery that day.

It wasn’t long after that battle that the war was won, that the men who went to fight for their country returned home to go to work, to love their wives and raise their children. Luv, Charter has a unique outlook on running a business. They try to make you NOT buy their "service." That is the only logical conclusion I can come to. Hopefully, their bankruptcy will result in another cable company purchasing their assets and we will all be delivered from Charter Hell.
