Baylor def. Auburn, 74-72 (NIT quarterfinals)

Hey everyone. We made ESPN! Thanks to the HOTTIE who made this happen.

DeWayne Reed missed two free throws with less than 10 seconds remaining, allowing Baylor to cling to a one-point lead. After a Baylor free throw bumped the visitors' lead to two points, the Tigers raced down the court for one final possession.

Rasheem Barrett, whose sharp shooting boosted Auburn throughout the second half, missed the final shot from 23 feet.

Auburn ends its season 24-12.

Cotton said...: Agh. That last possession. Looked like they could've drove it to the rim if they wanted. Those last two free throws were painful to watch. This has got to blow for those seniors, after the whole turnaround and all the effort to get here.

But even though they lost, this team has done a heck of a lot for auburn basketball and next few years look a bit more promising.; 8:16 PM

i used to shoot them granny style with my back to the rim for fun and i could make 3-5 in a row.

wtc said...: Just in from the game. Tough loss. Fitting that FT's were the down fall. at the time I felt Reed should dished to someone else for that shot he was foule don, but it all happened so fast.
