Chaz Ramsey sues two former AU employees

Hey everyone. We have some news on the Chaz Ramsey front, albeit from one side of the dispute.

Ramsey's lawyer, Steve Heninger of Birmingham, filed a complaint today in federal court (Birmingham) against former Auburn assistant coach Hugh Nall and former trainer Arnold Gamber.

Nall and Gamber left the program soon after Tommy Tuberville's resignation in December.

UPDATE: I spoke with the court clerk in Birmingham and confirmed this information.

UPDATE II: I spoke with Heninger a short time ago. Here are some things he shared with me.
  • Ramsey initially injured his back around the time of the 2007 Peach Bowl.

  • Ramsey first stuck with therapy. When that didn't work, he had a minimally invasive procedure (hemilaminectomy) to relieve the pain. That was on April 21, 2008. Heninger said Ramsey's doctor had no reservations about the player's ability to return to varsity action after a period of 90 days.

  • Heninger said Nall and Gamber began making rigorous physical demands in May.

  • Heninger said Ramsey re-injured his back during a workout on June 2, 2008. That injury, Heninger claims, eventually required an invasive surgery that ended Ramsey's football career.

  • ``The coaches and Arnold Gamber knew about Chaz's injury. They knew what he could and couldn't do. They ignored that and forced Chaz to participate in exercises that ultimately cost him his career."

  • Ramsey's orthopedist was Stanley Faulkner of St. Vincent's East in Birmingham. Ramsey was referred to Faulkner by Mike Goodlett, Auburn's team physician.

  • NEW @ 4:10 p.m. On June 3, 2008, Goodlett made a note on Ramsey's medical chart that said: ``My extreme displeasure over the fact that Chaz was allowed to do weight-room activities on 6/2/08 was voiced at length to Arnold Gamber ..."

  • NEW @ 4:15 p.m. Once Faulkner intervened and demanded that all weightlifting activity stop immediately (on 8/28/08), the complaint alleges, Ramsey was "humiliated and had his manhood called into question by his offensive line coach, Hugh Nall. A systematic pursuit was undertaken to embarrass and harass (Ramsey) because of his refusal to engage in drills ..."

  • NEW @ 4:25 p.m. Ramsey underwent a second procedure, this one more invasive, on Jan. 21, 2009. That day, Goodlett petitioned the Southeastern Conference to grant Ramsey a (lifetime) medical exemption. A portion read: ``It is our fear that that continued participation in intercollegiate football would lead to further surgery and and possible long-term sequelae."

  • NEW @ 4:35 p.m.
Here are the six accusations ("counts") made:

    • Negligence. Ramsey believes Gamber and Nall's actions put him at increased risk for re-injury, which occurred. Ramsey asserts that both men acted beyond their scope of authority by forcing him to prematurely engage in rigorous drills.

    • Wantonness. Similar to the negligence claim.

    • Interference with the physician/patient relationship. Alleges that Gamber/Nall "acted intentionally in bad faith, willfully, maliciously and beyond the scope of their individual and collective authority" to undermine Faulkner's orders.

    • Outrageous conduct. Alleges that Gamber/Nall "committed outrageous conduct by intentionally inflicting severe emotional distress upon (Ramsey)."

    • Civil conspiracy. Alleges that Gamber/Nall cooperated ``with each other and with others in the Auburn football program yet unknown to embark on the course of tortious and injurious conduct."

    • Violation of civil rights. Alleges that Gamber/Nall violated Ramsey's right to "health, well-being and pursuit of happiness" by interfering with Faulkner's prescribed course of action.

Here are some things Heninger said on WJOX's "The Roundtable" show:

  • On why Auburn cannot be sued: ``They have sovereign immunity. Any state institute cannot be sued for negligence or gross negligence or anything like that. You can sue an agent or employee of the state if that agent acts beyond the scope of his actual authority. When you have restrictions, you can't go beyond that authority and do what you think should be done."

  • Heninger said Ramsey was ``intimidated" into doing weight drills and line drills: ``The phrase `man up' was used a lot."

  • ``(Nall) got the team together and told them: `Stay away from Chaz Ramsey. He's not a man.' His locker was cleaned out. His meal ticket was taken. They did everything they could to intimidate him."

  • Heninger expects this case to go to trial next summer.

  • Heninger believes Auburn's lawyers will play a role in defending Gamber and Nall, which will create the illusion that Auburn is involved: ``It's really not."

  • In the interim, he's planning to take depositions from a lot of people involved in the Tigers' program: ``I've got to take a deposition from Coach Tuberville and a lot of assistant coaches to find out: How high did the orders come down from? From the evidence I've seen, it's Hugh Nall and Gamber.

  2. Good news for the U...hope Nall kept some of that severance.

    ReplyDelete
  3. yikes. doesn't sound too good.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jay, I'd appreciate if you didn't post any negative Auburn news. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  5. At least it seems they are going after specific people who impacted the situation and not just a blanket "sue everyone" kind of thing.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Don't be fooled, Cincy. If they could, they would. That's how they do it, throw the net out and see who they can get.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Maybe it's good Auburn cleaned house when it did. If this proves to be true, I really hate it for Chaz. No game is worth this kind of stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Complaint has been confirmed.

I don't yet have it, but I know it exists ... officially.

    ReplyDelete
  9. If any of that is substantiated, then good riddance. If not then I hope it comes out.

If Chaz was intimidated by Nall's alledged antics...then maybe he isn't a man. What happened to personal responsibility?

    ReplyDelete
  11. C'mon Hoop! You're going to say this kid player was supposed to stand up to Nall? Tell me how that conversation would have gone.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yeah Hoop, agree with Mon here.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hoop, I hope you're kidding.

    ReplyDelete
  14. So much for not talking about it. oh well.

Hoopie, when you are in a situation like that, you can't really have it your way. He was part of the team, and on scholarship. Players are supposed to trust the trainers and do as they are told.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well now we have substance, before it was he said/she said.

    ReplyDelete
  16. coach : So you tackle the RB.

player: Coach you mean 'tickle'? Because tackle might hurt someone. My personal responsibility stops me.

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's very unfortunate for Chaz for it to end up this way.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If the allegations are true, you are right Hoopie. It is about personal responsibility; as in if you are in a position of authority, you must be held accountable for what you order the people under your care to do. Don't worry, Chaz will be paying for his inability to stand up to Nall for the rest of his life. If Nall and the trainer pressured him to go against doctor's orders, then they should take responsibility for that action.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You can't say "be a man" when the power differential in a relationship is such that even speaking up in a reasonable manner can cost you your future.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well said, Michael.

    ReplyDelete
  21. By the way, I am sure Nall and company have their side of the story. Maybe Ramsey didn't tell them the extent of the injury for whatever reason, or maybe Ramsey set all this up after he already new he had a substantial career injury previous to this "re-injuring due to working out." We'll see how it all ends up. Everyone here is innocent until proven guilty.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anonymous3:52 PM

First of all, Nall's alledged actions are inexcusable. I understand team unity and all that, but sometimes ya gotta think for yourself. The surgeon and team doctor told him not to do the workouts and he caved in to the coach?

I know a pitcher that told his HS coach that he wouldn't pitch even though ordered by the coach. That kid got a very nice pro signing bonus and pitches in the minor leagues b/c he preserved his arm.

Sorry to start a mess and run, but I got a Scout Hut Meeting.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Without expressing my opinion, I guess I am surprised that Tuberville wasn't sued as well. If this case gets trial, it will be the biggest upset since we blocked two punts.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hopefull Nall has malcoaching insurance. I assume he got some after that 2003 season, am I right?!

    ba dum chee!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I now have the complaint in hand and will be adding details (the the main page) as I see fit.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm putting "NEW" tags (in red) so you can see the new stuff I'm adding.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I may be alone in this, but I always thought that Nall was a dirtbag. Never have been a fan. And as a veteran of the transportation industry, I can assure you that Nall has found his niche in life now.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I never thought he was a dirtbag. Just your stereotypical tough-as-nails old school line coach. Seems like the sort of thing that might have happened in the Dye era and we would just never hear about it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I second the notion that Nall fits right in with his new company.

    ReplyDelete
  30. When I see the sensational lawyer speak used, it makes me want to side with Nall and co.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The pressure from college coaches is very powerful. Let me just say from personal experience that an injury suffered while playing at the college level was not fun to deal with. Coaches want you on the field at any cost.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's what lawyers do, Michael.

That's all for the updates. Anything worth noting is now on the blog.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Good lawyering. Civil rights violation charge is the access to federal court. Interruption of doctor-patient gets you to Birmingham's northern district rather than Montgomery's middle district. Otherwise, this is a state court case in Lee County.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Michael, What sensational lawyer speak do you see?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Very good lawyering.

    ReplyDelete
  36. "by forcing him to prematurely engage in rigorous drills."

No Chaz, you were not forced.

    "severe emotional distress"

Not as annoyed by that one, but still very lawyerish and a bit over the top. I don't think he deserves any money for the emotional distress, but I know there are differing views on that

"Gamber/Nall violated Ramsey's right to "health, well-being and pursuit of happiness"

Last time I checked, Ramsey was never imprisoned and tortured. He never lost his rights.

Look, I agree Nall and Gamber should be held responsible for their actions, and I know these claims are really starting points for negotiations, it just bothers me a little. That's all.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The civil-rights claim is a tool.

The negligence and the wanton stuff are the important elements here.

    ReplyDelete
  38. There is no statute that says "you can't shame a guy into playing football even though his doctor's say to do so will risk further injury."

There are statutes that say you can't wantonly endanger a citizen, etc. Ramsey alleges a wrong was done and he has to fit his allegation to the law.

    ReplyDelete
  39. W/o the civil rights claim, it's a bad venue for Chaz. If I were defending, I'd try like crazy to say this is a state court case that belongs in Lee County.

    ReplyDelete

Some past WR should sue Greg Knox for screwing up his ability to correctly run routes or to actually be able to run routes.

***sorry, had to lighten it up here

    ReplyDelete
  41. disappointing stuff. reminds me of "north dallas forty".

    ReplyDelete
  42. Macho - that would be a class action

    ReplyDelete
  43. Why can Auburn sue me, but I can't sue Auburn?

    ReplyDelete
  44. And it's not tortuous meaning he was tortured, it's tortious meaning related to tort law/civil law.

    ReplyDelete

The Man can always stick it to you.

The only ways to stick it to The Man are revolution or mass suicide.

    ReplyDelete
  46. mixed feeling on this for me...you always got a choice is how I think. He wasn't forced to do anything but then again scholarships and fame go along way to making a decision so hmmm...we all have heard how tough Nall was..I'll watch this thing play out and go from there..WAR EAGLE!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well I have to cook salmon so there's no time for revolution and I dig myself WAY too much for suicide.

  50. did any of y'all hear about the swine flu parties? People are trying to get swine flu now so they can build up immunity for fear that it will mutate to a more virulent behavior in the future. I'm sorry, but that sounds stupid. And believe me, I'm very familiar with stupid.

MrsTHT had a hilarious but very appropriate response which she would not allow me to share.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Michael Phelps and Jeremy Mayfield are coming over for a Swine Flu party this weekend.

Phelps is bringing incense, a lava lamp and some Traffic on vinyl. Mayfield's got a football helmet, some fireworks and a sledgehammer.

    Should be fun.

Ramsey may have been legally an adult but he'd spent most of his life under the authority of coaches. It's an unusual kid that can go against that authority.

If the allegations are true, then Nall and the trainer abused their authority and they are responsible for the consequences.

I don't think Tuberville is in the clear yet. If they find any connection during discovery, they'll go after him too. After all, his are the deep pockets.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I have a hard time believing Tuberville, knowing the guy he is and how involved he was with the conditioning aspect of football, called a Santiago-style CODE RED.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Anonymous7:17 PM

I'm not saying he did, and they obviously have nothing to show it now or he'd have been named.

I'm just saying the lawyers would go for him if they can uncover a connection and they'll be trying to.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Tuberville seems more like Markinson than Jessup.

    ReplyDelete
  57. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH

    ReplyDelete
  58. As long as they use the mess hall not being in the team handbook defense during the trial.

    ReplyDelete
  59. "Jay, I'd appreciate if you didn't post any negative Auburn news. Thanks."

    Geez Michael.

    ReplyDelete
  60. What is "negative Auburn news"?

I choose blissful ignorance. It's always sunny in my Auburn world.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm with you ehyou, my world is definitely seen through orange colored glasses.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I wonder what Marcus McNeil thinks about this case, since he had a severe back injury while playing at Auburn. I worked for of the toughest OL coaches that Auburn has probably had in Trickett and I can promise you that would not have happened. I just don't think much of Nall. Never have and never will. Good RB play made him look better thanhr should have. I side with Chaz in this mess, but I wonder if it will even go to court. It is Auburn after all, cases usally get settled before then.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Good point Eddie, it does make you wonder about Marcus McNeil, King Dunlap and other OL that had back problems while they were at Auburn.

I think as in most cases there is some blame that should fall on both sides.

    ReplyDelete
  64. No way this goes to court, right?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I would bet good money this gets resolved without much fanfare and no court at all.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The odds of this going to court is about as good as Auburn winning the national championship this year.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The only thing is ... this isn't Player Versus Big Pockets.

This is Player Versus Two Guys Who Don't Make That Much Money.

    ReplyDelete
  68. see that point Jay G, but I just don't think Auburn power brokers will want to see this case dragged out in public. Think about it, you have the team doctor Goodlett going against former trainer Gambler. It could get ugly and it will affect the perception of Auburn. I'm already willing to bet some major media like ESPN will pick this up.

    ReplyDelete

  72. When the Founding Fathers wrote the Bill of Rights, I really don't believe they envisioned "freedom of the press" to encompass pre-season rankings and pre-season All-this and All-that teams. It's one of the stupidest things ever put on paper.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I know a good way to start an argument... what do you guys think they envisioned when they gave us the right to bear arms?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think they voted it down. Bear arms are too hairy and unattractive.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Anonymous9:20 PM

Speaking of bear arms....I was at a local DOT engineering office today and noticed that every man in the building was wearing a short sleeve dress shirt. If I remember correctly Omnica considers that attire to be unattractive. I've noticed that I get a lot more cooperation from said engineers if I dress similar to them.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hoopie,
Could you wear a short sleeve polo instead? I'm with Monica - short sleeve dress shirts are the bane of stylishly dressed men.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'm ugly and I know it. So short sleeve dress shirts don't really have as much detrimental impact on me as they would on Brad Pitt, or on DL. Besides, they keep me from having a heat stroke in some of the sauna-like offices I work in. (I also wear a hooded sweatshirt at a few meat locker offices)

    ReplyDelete
  78. I do wear short sleeve polos more often than short sleeve dress shirts. But that still doesn't turn me into Brad Pitt.

    ReplyDelete
  79. My father-in-law was a very high profile executive for a large corporation - he wore short sleeve dress shirts and clip-on ties - didn't seem to hurt his career at all!

  83. I sawon the news tonight that fan day is August 16th.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Monica-sorry for the delayed response but i was not blogging from my phone. I was actually working at the office and being distracted from blogging by clients calling in and bothering me.

  85. How about posting some juicy information about our recruiting weekend? We are thinking of going to Auburn for the day on Saturday just to see what is going on. We also want to look at the condos on Magnolia across from Lowder. Anyone on here own one or know someone who does?

Cincy....I am a chameleon dresser. On any particular day, I could be found anywhere from "in a ditch with laborers" wearing shorts and boots to donning a suit and presenting a rezoning application before a metropolitan county commission hearing.

Those State employed Department of Transportation engineers are a very predictable breed. I've noticed that I am received well and get quicker results if dressed like them.

  90. Hoopie,
My husband is an engineer with a large utilities company and he says the same thing - he can't meet with a bunch of power plant workers wearing a suit - no credibility. Like you said, when in Rome...

    ReplyDelete
  91. Michael ... you confuse me.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Hey, who wants to talk about their guess at the starting QB this coming year?

    ReplyDelete

Cincy....the construction worker term for someone wearing a suit or blazer with a tie onto a jobsite is: shiny shoed M-- F--.

Back in the day, I travelled by air to several different construction jobs every week always wearing suits. A crusty old dozer operator in Delaware called me a "Seagull" b/c I swooped in....pooped on everything and left in a hurry.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hoopie,
When we first married hubby worked for a large paper company. I was so proud of my college graduate engineer and "dressed" him up for work everyday in a starched dress shirt and tie. His boss sent a note home to me saying unless I wanted his head pulled off by catching his tie in a paper machine to lose the shirt and tie. I quit dressing him after that.

Cincy...my first work experience was sortof the opposite. I interviewed and was hired by one of the largest Atl general contractors. After we had agreed to the employment details, the owner of the company looked at my raggedy college blazer and offered a $1,000 signing bonus to go buy suits, pinpoint oxford shirts and silk ties. He also pointed out that all office men wear starched shirts. Not your normal construction company, but I took the deal.

Plus, tomorrow my son-in-law hopes to get an offer from the law firm he has been interning with during the summer. So far, our tunes this morning have had a decidedly Southern flair with songs from:

    .38 Special
    Allman Brothers

What a great way to start the morning!

  107. Honorable mention today to center Tom Banks and DT Mike Pelton, each of whom achieved ALL-SEC postseason honors.

But today's honoree was an ALL-AMERICAN as a junior and again as a senior. He was one of the best SEC centers ever, played on the 1957 national champion team, captained the 1959 team, and in his spare time played basketball and baseball at Auburn. Following his college years, he was a 1st round NFL draft choice of the Baltimore Colts. He went on to a long NFL career with the Colts, Saints, and Cowboys.

  110. Monica - you would have really enjoyed "Nubs the Bear", a fable I had to write in high school. Sadly, I don't remember the story, and even worse, I don't remember the moral of the story, though I do recall it being a play on words. Nubs was a bear who had no hair, a fact which caused him great despair. He was called Nubs because he had no arms or legs. I think I was having a "Michael Moment" when I wrote it.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I think Petrino is at the point that he knows he has to show some loyalty.

Until Chizik proves he's worth the risk, Petrino would have been a far better option and with him we would have been better than 5-7 last year.

  120. I just wish I had the golden parachute that Tubs had so that I could say F it, quit trying to work and wait for them to fire me. I hate Sexton. He is the master of this crap, just look what he got Nutt last year.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Never say never, but I would have an extremely hard time supporting Auburn if Bobby Petrino was our coach - I would, but I surely wouldn't like it. I think he is a snake.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Cincy- I thought I was gong to have a hard time supporting Auburn when Chizik was named, but i've quickly changed my stance.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Anonymous7:09 AM

Cincy, I agree, but fortunately, we don't have to worry about that (for now anyway).

    ReplyDelete
  124. I wouldn't say Tub quit trying to work, but I do think the effort wasn't the same starting around 06 or so.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I really hope Chizik does well as a HC, but I do have my concerns that in 2 or 3 years we'll be debating if it's time to give Gus Malzhan or Trooper Taylor their 1st HC job.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Eddie,
I didn't know enough about Chizik to not like him as a hire. But, when tfaced with the potential of hiring Petrino, Nutt or Leach, Chizik seemed like a fine choice. Those other three give me the willies.

    ReplyDelete
  127. RK- You could be completely right there, but something tells me he maybe the guy to do the job, but like you said, only time will tell.

    ReplyDelete
  128. as long as we're shouting out Neals, I liked Mike & Rick Neel from the early 70s, but I don't remember their jersey numbers. I think Mike was a LB on the Amazins, and we know that was a solid D.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Eddie,

I like what I've seen so far from Chizik, but we'll learn more when all this courting big time recruits turns into them coming here or somewhere else and the product we put on the field this fall.

  130. anybody else notice how far to the left JayGT's Scales of Justice are leaning?

    ReplyDelete
  131. Anonymous7:29 AM

TarHeel, not sure what you mean...

    ReplyDelete
  132. Luv-at the top of the Chaz article

    ReplyDelete
  133. THT...
It all depends on which side of the scales you're standing on.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Agreed whole heartedly RK.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Anonymous7:42 AM

TarHeel, I hate to admit it, but I'm having a blonde moment...

    ReplyDelete
  136. Luv...
Unless I'm mistaken, THT is referring to political leanings.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Anonymous7:52 AM

ehyou, I knew that much, I just don't see where JayG was being political.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Anonymous8:00 AM

OK, knowing TarHeel's sense of humor, I think I got it now! It only took me 30 mins! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  139. I didn't mean JayGT's political leanings, I just meant the Scales of Justice, which should be balanced before the case even starts.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Anonymous8:04 AM

After 30 mins, I finally got that! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  141. Anonymous8:05 AM

But, at least I figured it out on my own!

    ReplyDelete
  142. Michael had just walked by the scales. I'm not gonna guess what he put in the one on the left.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Well, I sure hope this turns out to be an incredible weekend in Auburn, but there's just not enough leaks right now to entice me to drive 1000 miles. Lache or no Lache? Not even a hint of a Toomer's Corner Bastille celebration or rolling contest.

    ReplyDelete
  144. ehyou - knowing Michael, which of course, I really don't, I'm guessing he created a vacuum in the scale on the right.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Isn't anyone hearing anything about this weekend???

    ReplyDelete
  146. Anonymous8:26 AM

Not me, Cincy, but I'm always the last to know.

    ReplyDelete
  147. man, i feel late to the party this morning.

very excited about JACKIE BURKETT day!!!! 50 days????? seriously? wow. it's so freakin' close.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I've decided what I want for Christmas. I want me some sovereign immunity.

    ReplyDelete
  149. speaking of Christmas, they are having one of those red carpet premieres for the new Twilight movie (the girly vampire thing) up here in November. if i don't get my wife a ticket to it for her Christmas present i am a dead man!

    ReplyDelete
  150. jet...
May we assume there are transgressions from which you need immunity?

    ReplyDelete
  151. My magic 8 ball says, "It is decidedly so."

  152. Anonymous9:07 AM

scottie, in other words, you might as well set up permanent residence in the dog house?

    ReplyDelete
  153. i'm already there Luv. i literally sleep with the dogs every nite.

    ReplyDelete
  154. JayGT - any particular plans to cover AU's recruiting weekend and obtain prophesies from the kids attending?

    ReplyDelete
  155. Hallelujah, it's 10:30; my lunch box is fair game.

    ReplyDelete
  156. man, i'm hungry too. there's a great sandwich place around the corner. looks like i'm headed there. they have Peach Nehi too. luv that stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  157. You've been around long enough to know how I feel about recruiting prior to November 25th.

I'm content to let the recruiting experts monitor every commit and de-commit at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  158. i was suprised myself. it is YUMMY.

    ReplyDelete
  159. JAYGT - Thanks for the reply. Your pedestal would have lost a little height if you had said yes. That being said, I still can't wait to hear some great news this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  160. did we get a confirmation if Seastrunk was going to make it to AU this weekend? the guy on 740 is saying he is NOT coming.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Radar likes grape nehi.

    Ahh, Bach!

    ReplyDelete
  162. ScottieB - no one here in our office has heard one way or the other. Of course, most of the folks up here don't hardly know what an Auburn is, much less a Seastrunk.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Morning Hot Ones! Looks like it will be a rainy day on the Plains. I havent heard much about the weekend plans but a few names that I've seen as visitors are:

Corey Lemonier 4* DE from FLA

Dekota Mosely OL -Michael Dyer might ride with him to AU

Ahmad Dixon 5* S committed to Baylor and good friends with Seastrunk and Trovon Reed

    Ladarius Owens LB
    CJ Mosley LB
    Jenneth Carter DT
    Jeffery Whitaker DT

I also read that the recruits that couldnt make it to AU this weekend could be here next weekend

    ReplyDelete
  164. Hi BigCat! tHANKS For that update. I guess there aren't any pep rallies planned for this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  165. This morning, I chose to leave the short-sleeved dress shirt at home in favor of this:

    ReplyDelete
  166. thanks BigCat.

you know, the members of Green Day wear s/s dress shirts with ties. it works for them. but they also wear eyeliner. just sayin'.

    ReplyDelete
  167. The "1-up" lapel pins are really what makes it.

    ReplyDelete
  168. No one at Foy Help Desk knows of any events this weekend :-(

    ReplyDelete
  169. I'm pretty sure Dixon will not be visiting this weekend.
