Rob Bironas is a good pick for # 16 as well, but he only played one year for us.
yep, i'll always remember speedy little Wasden being caught from behind by a big ol bama LB. Of course, it wasn't just any of the two dozen bama LBs probably on their roster at the time, but one Keith McCants. The dude was big and the dude was fast. He dove and caught Shayne's heel with his fingernail. AU ended up scoring anyway, so no harm done.
Wow, I finally get a chance to look at the HABOTN today and everyone ('cept you, THT) has taken their comments and gone home. Last night on the way back from an event I was listening to a national sports talk show and a guy from SI.com was on there. They were asking him about Brett Favre (of course) and he said "Brett Favre is the biggest liar in sports...well, except for that coach in Tuscaloosa".
WERK - i have to use sources cause I'm ignorant, and my memory isn't what it once was. That's two strikes. And I can't write worth a darn. That's 3 strikes.
At the start of my sr yr, I searched the ENTIRE AU catalog and made a list of all masters programs that did not require writing; I didn't care what the subject matter was.
In high school I left a 50 point essay question blank (I made a 47). The teacher asked why. I said, what's the point, you'd just mark it all up anyway.
I've told y'all this before, right? See, I told you my memory is shot.
Now that I think about it, the SI guy actually used some sort of derogatory word when referring to Saban (other than "liar"). I can't remember what it was (something along the lines of "jerk"), but I did laugh out loud when he said it.
howdy choco!
I just finished a sumptuous dinner of Hursey's BBQ and cole slaw. Time for me to shut the 'puter down. I've got serious office and storage room clean up duty tonight.
Y'all have a great evening. I'll catch up when I get to work at Southern Pines tomorrow morning.
Dang, even THT is leaving me! Oh well, I've gotta go to the store in a little bit and pick up some milk for Mrs. Choco and the kids (not the chocolate variety, surprisingly enough).
Monica, no don't have that speed I had in 2001. Security probably didn't catch me b/c I was hopped up on Jim Beam and bad decisions. Wasn't a fan of the goalposts either but getting on the field was one of those experiences where you think HOLY **** It was funny b/c they were only arresting the slow fat kids (the terrence cody's of the world)
IV,
Thanks for sharing the jersey story. I love hearing people's special memories about Auburn.
Also, going back to banning picture taking at games. How exactly are they going to do that when everyone's cell phone takes pictures?
1.I do not own a jersey, so i do not wear them to games.
2.WTF is Saban up to doggin' reporters that cover the team. It may get worse for him up there with the reporters. makes for headlines though.
3.Not a fan of closed practices because all we can do is speculate about how good/bad we are.
Anyone read what PMarshall has to say from the interview with L Owens?
If you're over 12, leave the jersey at home.
I don't care about the goal posts. Everyone's had that big game where they acted a fool. That was Auburn's. I wouldn't promote it happening again, but don't care that it did.
Sup all...
Haven't worn someone else's jersey since the 6th grade (other than my own to school on fridays in high school) But i had the 34 jersey and 22 for Brent Fullwood (which is a rare one). Also had a #41 jersey for Reid McMillan- backup fullback to Tony Richardson in the early 90's. One of my favorite activities is to people watch and I love seeing grown overweight Bammer fans wearing jersey's with a skill players number on it. Yeah a 300 pound white man with a Julio Jones jersey- the two of you have alot in common.
Jay,
No not related to D Miller, last name isn't even Miller. I got on here once before as Isaac Vasquez as I longed for the days of you coming on sports drive and talking to Neal about which "establishment" you guys would meet up at. Anyways love the vibe here and hope to participate daily.
I've worn a jersey. It wasn't mine and it wasn't in public.
always hot when the ladies where a jersey to bed. good for you Monica. Stuff like that lets me know there terrorists aren't gonna win.
Hey everyone, just a reminder that the Auburn Football Insider Podcast goes live tonight in about 25 minutes. Please join us as we have a special guest, Ronnie Sanders on to talk a little football.

In addition to the guest, I have a question for you all:
What would your reaction be if Gene Chizik went on a tirade with the media similar to Nick Saban's from this week?
What would the media reaction be?

Reid McMilion's father and I were high school classmates at A.G.P.H.S. in Selma. His father was an outstanding athlete, our best football player by far. He also was D1 football material; however, he suffered a severe concussion in a game and the doctor's advised him to give up the sport. He went to the U of A and became a dentist, yet he was very proud of Reid and his Auburn career. His father, Louis or Louie to all of us, wore # 41 in high school. Reid wanted to not only honor his father by wearing that number, but he wanted to excel and help fulfill his father's dream of playing college football. I saw Louie at our 50th reunion and we talked about Reid and how proud he had made him at Auburn.
IV - keep those great stories coming!
