ANYBODY getting paid BIG money to play in the NFL at 40ish is GREAT!!!
Its work... and not one of us would pass up that kind of money to do what we love,,,who cares what others think...
hey man...um....like um...when were the 70's?
I concur with your, as usual, astute observations, DL.
Depressed - Yep, that was one of the guys with the "mentor". Where do you see that story? I'd love to read it.
Any way I can get the HABOTN cap in Crimson/White?
Anybody post that Bryce Brown @Tenn. is being looked at by the NCAA about his amateur status?
All this is centered around his relationship with his adviser.
FSJ...
We love you man, but the answer is a resounding "no".
Question, maybe Jay G. can answer for us. Speaking of not much depth on the offensive line, who will be our back-up center this year? A very important position is center as he is the one that makes the line blocking calls on each play. Who will take over if Pugh should go down even for a play or two?
wtc...
That was mentioned by depressed earlier. Very interesting.
Pugh is the only one listed as a center on our current roster.
Thanks ehyou.
Too many post for me to read tonight.
Some one give the readers digest version of what was said today.
FSJ...
We will be glad to offer you some Tebow style HABOTN jean shorts.
wtc...
Really not much more than the mention so far.
I can't believe that it took 10 hits and 8 runs before Bobby Cox thought that Derek Lowe wasn't going to get out of the 4th inning.
WERK,
That game started out so well, but it has sure gone to heck in a handbasket.
Lowe wasn't the same after taking that line drive off of his glove hand.
It wasn't like the Mets were hammering the ball on him, but 10 out of 11 batters got hits in the 4th.
I'm watching it. Don't worry, the Braves will win.
IV...The depth chart posted at the end of spring listed "the lineman formerly known as Big Snacks" Mike Berry as backup center. It seems that Berry would slide to center and Eddins would start at guard.
YIKES!!!
OK. Daughter off to school, now it is time for a vacation before she takes all my money and before the season starts up.
I have one more day to work and then I am out of here for 5 days. Yes I am braggin'.
someone asked if we had any HABOTN tees left. nope. they are all spoken for. we sold 100 shirts this year!!!! pretty good work.
BigCat, thanks for the love. not sure we're at FUBU levels yet, though. ha.
FSJ, if you want a cap in crimson i can make it happen. lemme know.
if anyone wants anything else with the logo embroidered just let me know. i am sure we will do another tee/hoodie/sweatshirt order soon. you know how to reach me. let me know if yall are interested in that stuff and we can make that happen sooner rather than later.
As the season comes up on us, is anyone feeling less enthusiastic than they were about a month ago?
I'm actually a lot more enthusiastic than I was a month ago.
after getting to chat with most of the team on sunday i'm still fired up. it helps i got to walk right by my section. i could FEEL it.
worried about depth obviously. it could be a fantastic year. it could be blah. i choose to maintain my optimism.
oh, and my hate. hate is at an all time high.
HATE BAMA.
I also thought they'd win Sunday night at this point. If you're a blind homer, I'm your guy. If you're a realist, then don't pay me any attention.
have yall seen this? ausome. haha.
KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin says the NCAA is investigating an eligibility problem involving freshman tailback Bryce Brown.
At issue is Brown's amateur status as a high school athlete, a person familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press. The NCAA is reviewing whether money was raised for Brown to visit colleges during his sophomore year. Tennessee was not recruiting Brown then, according to the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.
I am feeling much better about things since a starting QB was named. That tells me that we have direction to head in and are not just floundering.
Sorry, a flounder is a fish. I meant foundering.
Just wondering. I am trying to figure out Chizik's strategy for practice. He seems to be working the younger players hard due to lack of depth from the upperclassmen and also trying to get them some practice time to be game ready, as we will need them.
Just haven't heard anything from the D other than several injuries.
The closed practice just doesn't let you get a feel for the team.
Scottie B - you'll receive my fax tomorrow. If you make a hat in colors other than AU, you must charge extra for that special handling. It's only right to charge extra for a one-off.
Scottie B - Hottie of the Year.
My anxiety level went up when Deshaun Barnes left for medical reasons and then 3 more defenders got booted...that started Lb anxiety.
The level dropped a bit when I saw the Qb selection process, Kodi's response and the reports from the following scrimmage. All of that fell in place almost as if scripted.
Good news so far is that the OL starters are holding up well. I do however, get the feeling that we're not getting the normal fall camp reps for the OL/DL/Lb starters, because we're trying to protect them and get good looks at the backups.
Practice hard and risk injury or save the starters and risk not being ready for the SEC...that's a tuff dilemma for a coach without depth. Tony Barnhart discussed this today on his site.
Norm, that's a good point. FSJ, your crimson HABOTN cap now costs $40. :) a straw poll agrees that's fair.
Sensi, not deserved but much appreciated.
Scottie....We need to check with some fine Auburn Textile Engineering Grads..I don't think that any semblance of the "hottest AUBURN blog on the net" can be printed on or affixed to "dark pink".
May the Hate be with you.
Scottie,
Nice job on the hats, seriously it's an honor to share the great state of Tennessee with you and be in the same ROF with you.
Ehyou ... last year, we were foundering.
We were quite fishy.
Man, it stinks when you typo away your joke.
I oughta be in the Axis of Live.
Hoopie... Thanks for the info on our center situation. One more thing to be concerned about, but even more frightening, what if we have to go to the third option if something were to happen to both Pugh and Berry. I will not think of such things, I will not think of such things.
anyone have a link to the story of Bryce Brown?
nevermind
WTC... My enthusiasm remains high surpassed only by my anxiety level due to the unknown.
Monica, you know I can't link, but I read the story on govolsxtra.com. The story is on the front page.
Mon...
USA Today
Maybe I should turn in my email from Brian Butler to the NCAA. I'm sure it would be meaningless, but it would make me feel so special and pseudo connected to this controversy.
I can fathom no reason why you would not.
Iv...if we have those kind of injuries....the only positive I can get out of that is that we would probably runoff some half-hearted fans.
I'm hoping that CGM's play schemes can out-maneuver some defenses so that we don't have to rely on outmanning them.
gotta be up early...g-nite Hotties.
Brian Butler and Bryce Brown's parents should be made to suffer for what they have done to this kid.
I make light of the situation because it's UT, but you are exactly right...a young man's career is potentially toast.
IV/Hoopie ... I may be dreaming this, which is entirely possible, but I believe I read somewhere that Eddins has taken some snaps at center at some point in his AU career.
We can only hope Hoopie, we can only hope. Good night all, I am out as well. It has been a good day of hate.
I remember when Mentor and Billy toured the highways and byways in the RV helping people, and if things got tough, then "Shazam!" and Captain Marvel took over.
Now, Mentor is just a pimp for a running back.
It's sad.
Wondering out loud...
Since we recently whiffed on our only TE target (Dickson)... and the new guy (Delaine) has only played football for 1 year, is tall and fast (6'6" - 4.5ish speed)... By all reports he is a phenomenal athlete (anchors his HS 4x100 relay, runs 300m hurdles, 400m dash, has a 19' long jump)... I wonder what his hands are like. That would make one hell of a weapon at TE! Of course, it'd make one hell of a DE/OLB too!
DMiller ...
I'm thinking DeMarcus Ware.
I can live with that...

Are you saying Jesus Christ can't hit the curve?
It's 11 here a couple hours east of God's country. Another habotn day draws to an end. Later all.
