Dibs!
Substance? No.
Nice, AU1.
El Substantio!
You missed it, cause it was FAH!!
Plus, when you see the opening, you just gotta punch through that hole.
I like that McNeil is taking on a teaching role while he's injured.
Tyrik will certainly get decent game time snaps, it will be a great change of pace and something for the D to prepare for
I heart Auburn.
fyi, NJ is not the place to find the beautiful people. i was in neptune, NJ all last week and the hot girls there paled in comparison to what i saw today at orange beach. neptune is basically a quaint beach town with a large gay & lesbian community. everyone else is hispanic. i ate at a place called vic's which is famous for its thin crust pizza. gimme hungry howie's any day over that crap. i did make a trip over to the stone pony bar where springsteen got his start in asbury park which was interesting.
is NJ the only place where men wear gold ankle bracelets? it went nicely with his cankles...and no, the guy wearing it was not gay because he had his family and kids with him.
The only thing I've ever really heard about NJ is that it's the armpit of the United States.
Some parts of New Jersey are very beautiful. It is called the garden state. I did business with a company in Princeton for a while and it was nice up there.
HABOTN ... After Dark.
I've never given much thought to soccer, but I'm inexplicably interested in Premier League.
Aero...
Here's hoping all's well on your side of the world.
T -minus only 20 freakin' days til kickoff!!!
HAPPY FREDERICKSON - CRIBBS DAY!!!
Two superlative Auburn football players honored today.
Born in Ft. Lauderdale and a graduate of South Broward High in Hollywood, FL, Ivan Charles "Tucker" Frederickson and I have two things in common. We both went to Auburn with dreams of being a veterinarian, and neither one of us is. That's obviously where the similarities end. The 6'2", 220 lb Tiger was one of the last of the two-way players, and one of the best. Tucker was described by Coach Jordan as "the most complete football player I have seen in the 38 years I have been connected with the game."
He was a consensus All-American (as a Safety) and SEC MVP in 1964, a year in which he finished 6th in the Heisman vote. Frederickson was a two-time winner of the Jacob's Blocking Trophy. He led Auburn in rushing in 1964 and led the team with 4 INTs in 1963 (1964 defensive data is unavailable). Will Walls, scout for the Pittsburgh Steelers, said of Frederickson, "He'd go in the first round of the NFL draft at five different positions - running back, fullback, tight end, cornerback, or safety. He's the best blocker in the country, and the best safety. He can be something else as a runner with his size and speed."
Tucker Frederickson was the NUMBER ONE pick in the 1965 NFL draft and earned a trip to the NFL Pro Bowl in his rookie season! Unfortunately, he then blew out a knee and missed the entire 1966 season. He returned for 5 more seasons with the Giants, but never regained his original form.
Tucker Frederickson is a member of the National Football Foundation's College Football Hall of Fame and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. Although he graduated from Auburn with a science degree, he became a serious student of finance, joining the Allen & Co. investment firm while playing in the NFL, rising to a position of vice-president for investment banking. After 15 years on Wall Street, he returned to his native Florida where he continued work in securities and also reportedly developed several golf courses of renown.
As a testament to his worthiness for top billing in today's Kickoff Kountdown, Tucker Frederickson was the highest vote getter for Auburn's 1892-1992 All-Century Team. Yep, he got more votes than any of the Auburn Heisman or Outland Trophy winners.
Phillip Marshall wrote an excellent article about Mr. Frederickson which I encourage all the Hotties to read here. He recounts the story of when Tucker showed up on his Auburn recruiting visit with nothing but 3 bottles of Jack Daniels.
As deserving as Tucker Frederickson is of top billing, I just can't see relegating one of my personal all-time favs, Joe Cribbs to "just" honorable mention. The Sulligent, AL, native is still Auburn's 4th all-time leading rusher, accumulating 3,368 yards and a 5.13 yds/carry average. He was a two-time All-SEC performer, AFC Rookie of the year, and the only rookie to start in the 1980 Pro Bowl. Since May 2008, Mr. Cribbs has been Commissioner of the as-yet-to-get-off-the-ground UNFL/UNGL.
Honorable mention: Danny Arnold, who graciously gave up his #20 jersey to Joe Cribbs when the latter arrived on campus.
Y'all HOTTIES step up now. Don't leave all the shout-outs to me. LET'S HEAR IT FOR OTHER 20s!!!
WARRRR EAGLE!!!!

Big SHOUT-OUTS to two former ALL-AMERICANS, Safety Brian Robinson and Kicker Damon Duval
Why thank you for that THT.
mornin' AU1292
...from prior thread
Wild Tiger certainly sounds better than the Wegl Wing
I think we should call the formation Chocolate pudding...
everyone likes chocolate pudding..
Ugh.
I went to bed with Ana and Bill lining up, now TD 4 is heading toward the Gulf Coast.
We don't need this ... at all.
Morning Hotties - I'm watching an infernal show with my son and about to get ready to head to AU for Fan Day with the family. I hope he enjoys the experience.
Morning HOTTIES!!!!
Happy #20 Day! It's getting close to Kickoff!!!!
Could we get a video where a beat writer is harmed?
How 'bout Trooper giving Goldberg a hot foot?
Or maybe Ziemba giving PMarsh a wedgie?
I wouldn't suggest a round of "Beat Writer Bull in the Ring with Eltoro." That would be cruel.
Claudette should be named today.
With Ana changing track to the south, I don't see a mid-week east coast surf trip now. Bill may rectify that, but if Ana does the right thing and doesn't weaken too much, I may get to stay home and catch something tasty. I predict both are uncooperative and I get skunked. We'll see.
Surfin' Snacks ...
Why don't you put a boat motor in a swimming pool, and we can skip the hurricanes?
I have a question about our offense: Are they using the big billboard grid thing like Gus had with Tulsa? I haven't heard anything about it so I uess (and I'm hoping) we aren't
And what a GREAT Frederickson-Cribbs day it is. Thanks for that THT!!!
mytommy, I'm not familiar with the big billboard grid thing. do tell.
I think Malzahn should make use of the electronic billboards on the upper deck facades.
and thanks, mytommyd!
Last year in their bowl game against Ball state they had a big sign/grid poster board/billboard thingy with a bunch of numbers and letters and colors and stuff on it. I recall one of the hotties had been at the game and reported that when a certain number was on a certain spot on the board a particular play was always run to a certain spot. I think that'd not be a good thing here, because it would be figured out in short order
Good morning all. Getting ready to head down to Auburn. Hope to run into some Hotties today. Also hoping the rain holds off. Should be a fun day!
Chocolate pudding... yep that's agreeable to most everyone.
So you don't like WeglWing or WildTiger... how 'bout calling it the Aubie Formation. We could put one of those little trunk Tiger tails on the "Aubie" who takes the snap.
have a safe trip, Eddie.
If you happen to see Bo, please get me an autograph!
How 'bout we call it the "Auburn scores again" formation? Unless of course we don't score every time we get in that formation.
I guess that means no.
"Auburn Scores Again" lacks a necessary air of brevity when calling a play, IMO. But I love where your heads at.
sorry for leaving you hanging, mytommyd. I typed a reply, then decided my reply was no more than talking for the sake of talking. I then replaced it with "blah, blah, blah..." but decided not to post that as I was afraid you'd mistake it as directed towards you. So here I am now, taking up more thread space without relevant commentary.
Just call it KODI KICK ASS formation and be done with it.
This young man needs to be honored for his attitude and grace.
Well bo I was thinking it would exude a little hint of wonderful overconfidence. But yeah it isn't the smoothest of nicknames is it.
Awesome THT!!
New thread UP.
